ישי יובל התחיל לתכנת עוד לפני שבבתים ישראליים היו מחשבים אישיים, כתיכונסט שהגיע לאוניברסיטה במסגרת קורס לנוער שוחר מדע. הוא התגייס לממר״ם ושירת עם שלמה קרמר ב-8200, לימים מי שיקרא לו לדגל באימפרבה ובחברה הנוכחית שהוא הקים, קאטו נטוורקס. בשלב מסויים בקריירה, הוא החליט לעבור מעולם התכנות לצד העסקי, ולקאטו נטוורקס הוא הגיע בתור מי שהוביל את השיווק. בשנתיים האחרונות ישי הוא סמנכ״ל האסטרטגיה של קאטו ומי שבין יתר התפקידים שלו בוחן רכישות אפשריות של חברות צעירות ומכין את קאטו לצעד הגדול הבא שלה, הנפקה בבורסה בניו יורק. עדיין לא ברור מתי בדיוק זה יקרה, אבל בשיחה ממשרדי החברה בתל אביב מול קהל חי, הוא מכניס אותנו ללו״ז העמוס של מי שמוביל את האסטרטגיה של חברה עם אלפי לקוחות והכנסות שחצו כבר מזמן את המאה מיליון דולר בשנה.
