Just because you're not at work or working doesn't mean you're putting deposits in your energy bank. In particularly in this episode, we dive into how we've fallen into the trap of mistaking *socialising* for a method or rest and rejuvenation. Maybe you can hear this in your thoughts too as you say, "I've had the weekend off and spent time hanging out and having fun with friends. So I should be refreshed for work on Monday". In fact, having MORE social time can actually create the need for MORE rejuvenation time. It's all about making sure you can listen to what your body & mind is asking for in the moment.   There are 2 main ideas we want to prompt you with 1️⃣ We want you to stop thinking something is wrong with you if you DON'T feel refreshed after a weekend socialising. For may of us, we have to recognise this as something that we want to invest energy in but that we don't *always* get energy back from. 2️⃣ We want you to be so clear about HOW YOU REJUVENATE so that when you want do, you can hit the right buttons to get that result.   In this episode: 🧠 Kristeen and Dr. Becc share personal stories of how, even with a break from work, genuine rest and rejuvenation often require solitude. 🧠 Reflecting on how grief, loss, and intense social commitments can amplify the need for personal time and self-connection. 🧠 Discussion on how social interactions, while meaningful, may still be exhausting due to the "hypervigilance" required to maintain energy and connection. 🧠 Importance of examining social expectations and giving yourself permission to step back and find peace alone, without guilt. 🧠 Reminders that even with loved ones, it’s okay if time together isn’t always relaxing.
