BMVT: Venting With Marcus Millien ✌🏽

Good Morning Nashville ☀️ IT IS OFFICIALLY MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH ‼️By now, those that have supported us know, the month of May we amp up our platform and brand in a many of ways. Expect new episodes, we’re gearing up for our annual charity bowling fundraising event this month, anything involving mental health in our city we are looking to be a part of. Thank you to our listening audience for rocking with us, and continue to share our platform to those that need it most. With that said … let’s get into today’s first episode for Mental Health Awareness Month ⭐️ We are more than excited to be bringing to the show a true native of Orlando, Florida, and a brother that definitely knows a thing or two about dribbling a basketball. He has had experience both at the collegiate level as well as professionally overseas, and is still actively looking to find a new team to showcase his talent. Presenting to some and introducing to others, our good friend and brother, Mr. Marcus Millien 💫 Marcus comes to our platform and talks with us about his passion behind not only the game of basketball, but the game of life. A lot of his credit was given to his mother, whom he states has been a true pinnacle piece of his life and overall development. Marcus spent some time overseas playing basketball, and told us that his mother’s values instilled in him gave him what he needed to be successful. Overseas, he talks with us about how it’s so important to not dwell on the “highs”, because the same way fans will love you one day, they’ll hate you the next. How many times have we seen professionals play years in their respective sport, but can’t come down from the excitement of what that life brings? So many athletes have allowed their emotions to get the best of them after an extended career, but Marcus has showed us with his story that with faith and a firm foundation … you can bounce back from anything and reinvent who you are. Today’s episode is a good one, please take the time to listen to a black man vent today. “Have You Heard A Black Man Vent Today?”™️We are blessed to have been heard in over 107 countries at least one time. If you are reading this and know of ANY TEAM, ANYWHERE, IN ANY CITY/COUNTRY needing a 5 ⭐️ player both on and off the court … look no further than Marcus Millien. That company is known nationwide as USATOP100, which has served communities and families across the country for the last 7 years. Outside of that, Mr. Reid enjoys being a father, and vents with us about what fatherhood means to him. He stated, “You can’t make a 100% in fatherhood … I am just trying to get a passing grade.” This statement is louder than you probably can hear, as it speaks to the hidden feeling most men have behind being a father. Never really knowing if you’re doing it “right”, and just having that cloud of insecurity really can be overbearing mentally. Eric vents about how his children have seen the sacrifice; he talks about a time where business was placed over family, due to the grind men get trapped in often times unconsciously. A true native of Benoit, Mississippi, but he is proud to claim that Nashville raised him to be the man he is today. Presenting to some and introducing to others, our good friend and good brother, Mr. George Stanberry. ⭐️ AND TO MAKE THINGS EVEN BETTER, TODAY (1/1/26) IS OUR GUESTS BIRTHDAY! MAKE SURE TO SHOW SOME LOVE TO GEORGE AND WISH HIM A HAPPY BIRTHDAY TODAY! 🎈 We get into the conversation with George, and he vents about coming out of a real dark hole at one point in his life. He gives high praise to a many of people in his family and circle that have helped him along the way. While he has traveled his mental health journey, he’s been able to also meet a young lady, now being his fiancée, that truly has given him a different perspective on love and communication. George came to our podcast January 9th, 2023, and from then to now … we highlighted his glow coming into the studio. George admits in his younger years, he “was outside”. BMVT: Venting With Willie Bell III ✌🏽

(original airing date November 30th, 2025)Good Morning Nashville ☀️ It’s the last day of Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, and we are blessed to be a part of you guys new week. If you’re reading this today, we as a platform thank you for supporting the brand, Black Men Vent Too. Our podcast, the mental health focused clothing/apparel we have called The “Peace” Collection, and the financial literacy classes we teach all are aimed to provide a better direction for our black men in our community. Our podcast has truly been able to reach many across the nation, and again, we can’t thank you enough for not only supporting us, but supporting these guests that come each and every week to vent about their mental health. 🧠 Let’s lock in on today’s episode! We are excited to present to some and introduce to others our good friend, proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Jackson, Mississippi native Mr. Willie Bell III. ⭐️ Willie Bell III is definitely a miracle and we truly are blessed to have had him share his experience with us. That experience being … sitting at a red light, casually about to go and wash clothes, and a teenage girl going 50mph crashes directly in the back of your just-paid-off Mercedes Benz. The impact being so strong that it uplifts the car from the ground, and now leaves you with partial paralysis, blurred vision, a concussion, memory loss, and unanswered questions. Willie talks about mentally where he is at today as a result of the incident, giving grace to the young girl and just being grateful for a second chance at life. In the back half of the episode, we get into the conversation about how fatherhood, in so many ways, is being strategically removed from men to dismantle the family structure. Our platform highlights fatherhood to the upmost, and Willie talks about how hard it can be at times to try and co-parent as a black man … going now 4 years without seeing his daughter. This episode is for sure a good one, take some time to listen to a black man vent today. “Have You Heard A Black Man Vent Today?”™️You guys can follow Willie Bell III and keep up with his road to recovery with the information below. ⬇️ 📸 Instagram: @theewilliebell🙏🏽 GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/bc4bf1338BMVT Ad Break ℹ️Alexandria “AC” Cotton , The Silk Stamp Luxury Travel 🧳“I specialize in creating unforgettable group experiences, from bachelorette parties and destination weddings to luxury getaways and milestone celebrations.”Instagram: TheSilkStampLuxuryTravelWebsite: TheSilkStampLuxuryTravel.comBMVT Music Break ℹ️ AC Noel ⭐️ - God Mode 💿 BMVT Commercial Break 📺 BMVT ✌🏽 Partners With Revolutionary Supplements 💪🏽- Through nutrition, supplementation, exercise, and mental health, Revolutionary Supplements provides a whole host of products aimed to revolutionizing people's relationships with food, activity, and their mental health.USE OUR CODE “BMV10” FOR 10% OFF YOUR TOTAL PURCHASE http://www.revsupps.com/discount/BMV10BMVT Black News Weekly 🗞️Music City Mixx Presents: The Ugly Christmas Sweater Mixer 🎄🎵 Hosted By: Top Flight The Brand & ABS Studios ⭐️ December 18th, 2025 📅 7:00p ⏰ - FOLLOW @ABUDADON & @TOPFLIGHTTHEBRAND ON INSTAGRAM FOR MORE INFO ℹ️

BMVT: Venting With Michael Broadnax ✌🏽

(original airing date November 30th, 2025)Good Morning Nashville ☀️ BACK-TO-BACK EPISODE DROPS THIS WEEK FROM THE FIRST AND THE ONLY BLACK FATHER AND SON PODCAST IN THE STATE OF TENNESSEE! ⭐️ We couldn’t let the month of November finish up, and not amp up the platform with not one, but ✌🏽 episodes airing on one day. We are excited to have our supporters and new listeners be a part of this week’s show. You’re in for a good show, so let’s lock in on a black man venting today! 🔒 My pops and I surely do not claim to be licensed mental health professionals. With every episode, we give honor to the therapists, counselors, those who’ve put in the book work and study behind holding their respective position. All we aim to do, is get the story, knowing that a story told will help another black man be more confident in telling theirs. With that said … we are excited to close out the month with an accredited licensed mental health professionals, marriage & family therapist Mr. Michael Broadnax ⭐️.When Michael isn’t being a devoted father of 3, or a husband to his beloved wife Ashley, he is boots on the ground behind advocating for mental health. He comes to vent on the platform about the importance of communication, talks about active listening while communicating, and even teaches our platform about “I Statements”. ✏️ Mr. Broadnax says that a lot of times, we know that a tough conversation needs to be had … we just don’t know how to navigate the structure of the dialogue itself. Boundaries, emotional intelligence, and capacity are a few things he touched on to show that these dynamics are a vital part behind finding a common ground amongst one another. It is a language that has to be adapted, but also a language that is meant for a safe space. We really get deep into the conversation from a clinical perspective, as Mr. Broadnax takes time to educate our audience on proper ways to “vent” to one another. Today’s episode is a good one! Take some time to listen to a black man vent today. “Have You Heard A Black Man Vent Today?”™️If you are in needed of a licensed mental health professional today, we highly recommend Michael Broadnax ⭐️, a counselor under Nashville Therapy Group. BMVT: Venting With Tony & Antone Christian

Good Morning Nashville ☀️ WE MADE IT TO FRIDAY! 🙌🏽Excited to once again be a part you guys new week as we step into this weekend with a lot of different things going on in the city of Nashville. Make sure to visit your local turkey drive event here in the city, and find a way to give back during this holiday season. One way we continue to give back on a week to week basis, is by providing episodes of black men sharing their mental health story on our platform. Let’s get into today’s exclusive episode. It’s been a while, but we are proud to introduce a father-and-son duo to the show on today. We’ve had a few episodes where we’ve had this type of guest duo, and it was so divine as to how we were able to get this specific father-and-son pair on our platform. Presenting to some, introducing to others, the father Tony Christian ⭐️, an army vet from New York. And the son, hometown native, artist, creative, and Baptist hospital born, Mr. Antone “AC” Christian. ⭐️ We get into today’s episode by allowing both of these brothers to vent on our platform. Our conversation with the fellas talks heavily about divine timing, Gods grace, and what is it about God that isn’t “trendy” or “cool” nowadays. AC goes on to talk about how our flesh is a main factor behind us not sacrificing what we know, for what we need. There has to be a “death to self”, he says in order to truly receive word of what God’s purpose is for you. AC also vents about the importance of black men taking the stand to vent, without shame. The wealth gained from you just being transparent and telling your story is worth far more than money could buy. Tony Christian, the father, comes from humble beginnings and speaks on the importance of love. Since when did it be come a problem today “I love you brother”, and mean it? There’s nothing new under the son, and often times as believers, we dismiss the fact that one thing is for certain … we’re human. Often times, prayer may not be the immediate need, it may be a conversation or community. And both are what we embrace here on the first and the ONLY black father and son podcast in the state of Tennessee. 💫 “Have You Heard A Black Man Vent Today?”™️NEW EPISODE IS OUT NOW ON YOUTUBE! 📺 #BMVTtvGuys … we NEED feedback. Think we can do better with our questions? Do you believe we should attack certain topics surrounding black men and mental health? Are we needing to upgrade any part of our show? We welcome to the platform our brother, Robert Archibald, better known as “Chan”. ⭐️ Chan vents on our platform about the importance of “being you”. He talks about how so many people nowadays are losing their authentic selves to societal distractions like social media. As if what you see on the screen is who you are, and we all know those narratives change. Chan takes pride in being the same person everywhere he’s went. A native of the city, he talks about growing up in a large family, being amongst loved ones in Jo Johnston, and how that framed his mentality overtime to wanting to be a positive influences within community. (original air date 10/31/25)Good Morning Nashville ☀️ Its the last day of the month! We hope you guys have had a prosperous October, as we step into the final 2 months of 2025. Man, what a year it has been. Let’s lock in on the final episode for our exclusive season being “Single Motherhood & Mental Health.” 🌺If you haven’t, take some time to check out all of our episodes that were apart of this season. BMVT wanted to take some time away from the common conversations we have with black men, and zero in on the conversation about mothers and their mental health, to better help us gain perspective as black men. Today’s final guest to appear in this unique season is none other than best selling author, mother, community leader, and faith based mental health advocate … Dr. Cynthia “CeCe” McKnight ⭐️ Dr. CeCe has had a career full of different ventures, achievements, and dynamics. With 26+ years of ministry and service, 30 years of marriage experience, and a doctorate degree … save to say, this young lady is “boots on the ground” with her work. Dr. McKnight comes to vent on our platform about the lost conversation surrounding the “invisible mother.” That mother that may have the support, may have the village surrounding her, but for some reason still feels lonely, inadequate, and indifferent. No mother should ever feel this way, and Dr. Cece talks about how faith and mental health were the prescriptions that brought her out of a dark time. You don’t want to miss this episode, take some time to sit down, lock in, and listen to a black woman vent today. “Have You Heard A Black Man Vent Today?”™️We thank you guys for taking time to check out our season being “Single Motherhood & Mental Health.” 🌺 The support you’ve shown us as we aim to support our black women has truly been felt. “Single Motherhood & Mental Health” With Topania Byars ✌🏽

Good Morning Nashville ☀️ New week, means a new episode from your favorite father and son podcast here in Nashville, Tennessee. Today’s episode is jam packed with segment breaks, commercial breaks, and of course a black queen as our guest to come and vent behind the topic being:Single Motherhood & Mental Health 💝We are passionate behind this topic because there are so many conversations that can stem from it. What we want to do this month is provide perspective for our black men from our black women of how we can be better within the home, during pregnancy, in our marriages, and more. With that said, let us introduce our second guest for this exclusive season. ⭐️ Today’s guest wears a man of hats within the community, one of them being a reappointed City Commissioner with Metro Action, but she emphasizes that her most important hat of them all is being a mother to her baby girl. We want to welcome our good friend and sister Topania Byars to the platform ✌🏽Born in Killeen, Texas … she talks with us about navigating her younger years, as her mom moved to Nashville with herself, her children, and a single bag holding all of their belongs. Topania talks about being homeless as a child for a brief period, bouncing around different schools throughout her scholastic career. But that never took away her personality, spirit, and the way she was adored by being her authentic self. We get more intimate conversation about the process of her birthing her baby girl, Audreé 🌼. Topania vents about the importance of having a village during pregnancy, and gives advice behind how most first time mothers don’t know what they should know. Being a first time parent, pregnant during COVID, was a challenge that Topania will never forget. If you fail to remember … having a baby during COVID was a stressful process for most new parents, not knowing if you could go and be with your partner in the OR due to high-risk regulations during that time. Safe to say, Topania vents entirely throughout our show today of different stories on how God brought her through her early stages of motherhood, but providing her a village that stayed consistent, loyal, and supportive throughout her journey. “Single Motherhood & Mental Health” With Yvonnda Fite-Green ✌🏽

Good Morning Nashville ☀️ Brand new month, brand new episode, let’s lock in guys on the rest of the year as we continue to push mental health on our platform. We thank you guys for tuning in each and every week to the first and the ONLY black father and son podcast in the state of Tennessee. Today’s episode debuts a BRAND NEW SEASON for the month of October, as we invite black women to our platform to discuss the topic:Single Motherhood & Mental Health 💝We are passionate behind this topic because there are so many conversations that can stem from it. What we want to do this month is provide perspective for our black men from our black women of how we can be better within the home, during pregnancy, in our marriages, and more. With that said, let us introduce our first guest for this exclusive season. ⭐️ We are excited to bring to our platform Nashville native, Ms. Yvonnda Fite-Green ✌🏽. In today’s episode, do know that you may hear a tiny voice within parts of the show … that tiny voice was Yvonnda’s beautiful baby girl, Remi 🌼. No need for a baby sitter, she was a part of the show too! On today’s episode, Yvonnda vents about a major subject within our culture that doesn’t get talked about … that being postpartum depression. Yvonnda talks about a time where she picked up a part time job, because the PPD had gotten so bad to where she just felt personal space was needed more than ever. Baby girl Remi, Yvonnda tells us that she was born inside of her sac. It has been researched and reported for that to occur within 1 in 80,000 births. Yvonnda vents with our platform about mentally where she was in that moment … her daughter being born with a veil over her face. Anything that isn’t natural within the pregnancy process, will surely cause mental stress for a woman in an already high-volatile situation. Yvonnda vents about actively still dealing with the PPD today, and how some cases can last up until the child becomes 5 years old. It’s so much that black men do not know about these things, and again, we wanted to not only invite black women for this season, but we want to mention that a live audience of women also was apart of today’s episode … to show our listening audience that were not here to make any black woman feel nervous or uncomfortable. Just like our black men, during this month of October, we want to provide a safe space for women to vent about this topic. And in order to do that, we filled up our studio with women to support our guest on today. Good morning Nashville! ☀️ Back again with another one guest, for another week of black men coming to vent on our platform about how they’ve overcome various mental health struggles. We know that if one man comes here and tells his story, it’ll give another black man more confidence to share his. With that said, let’s get into today’s episode. A major shoutout to Makayla Renee & Jaylin Guthrie, as they are the reasons behind why we met today’s guest. At their annual “Back 2 School” Bash Event, we took the time to do a small interview with this young man, but realized it wasn’t enough and knew he had more to say. BMVT: Venting With Coach Russell Acklin, Sr. ✌🏽

Good Morning Nashville ☀️ TWO EPISODES IN ONE DAY? I guess that’s how we’re feeling over here at Black Men Vent Too, and we hope that our energy in some way radiates back to you on today. If you woke up this morning, you winning. Complaining won’t do you any good anyways, right? So let’s take life for what it is, enjoy it, and all of us find more creative ways to better enhance our mental health. With that said, let’s get into today’s episode! 🔥 Man! Today’s episode is truly a good one and we are excited to have you tune in to our back-to-back episode drop for this weekend. September is Suicide Prevention Month, and as we advocate weekly for mental health in black men, we knew more was needed from us this month … more episodes, more content, more guests to continue to vent about their mental health here on BMVT. Presenting to some and introducing to others, one of the great coaches here in Nashville who has served under our MNPS district as well as coaching along side Fisk University legend Kenny Anderson … we bring to the show the father, the husband, the mentor Coach Russell Acklin, Sr. ✌🏽Coach Russ 🏀 comes to the show to vent about one immediate and thought provoking question … “how do you hug a porcupine?”Everyone in their life knows that one “porcupine” person … they’re never truly satisfied, always looking to prick at things, and can be tough to handle. We dive off into that conversation with Coach and talk about how men can sometimes be mentally drained behind dealing with the porcupines of life. BMVT: Venting With Music City Matte ✌🏽

Good Morning Nashville ☀️ NEW WEEK NEW EPISODE! We’re excited to have you guys here listening in to the Black Men Vent Too Podcast. One day, we want to be the one stop shop in Nashville for any man, regardless of their ethnical background, to know that we have resources readily available whenever there is a need for them. Whether you’re white, black, blue or purple, mental health is real. And we honor that here every week with our guests on our platform. With that said … let’s dive into today’s episode! If you’ve followed us for a while, then you know to not let our podcast name fool you. We embrace ANY man who needs our platform, but we naturally as black men stand for OUR men above anything else. We love to bring a variety of guests on the show, to emphasize how mental health affects us all … not just our culture of men. Presenting to some and introducing to others, he’s as smooth as butter and cooler than the other side of the pillow, we’re excited to bring our guy “Music City Matte” to the show! ⭐️ Matt comes to our platform and vents on the passion he has behind being a father to his two boys. Fatherhood did not start off ideally for Matt, as he talks about being in back and forth custody battles for almost 5 years of his son’s life. A native of Florida, Matt talks about his time in prison and how that 10 year setback made things more challenging for him down the line, especially when it comes to navigating through court processes. Research shows that fathers, no matter the ethicist or racial ground, have made transformative efforts in being present and active in their children’s lives. But for some reason, Matt’s story is like that of many fathers. When we as man are told to “fight for our children”, is this what the fight looks like? Is this what we as men have to endure … just to be in the lives of children we help create? We are presenting our third guest to you guys as we continue to debut our season/series titled “My Mental Matters In May”. Today’s special guest hopefully will continue to show our fans and supporters that yes, we primary advocate for black men, but that doesn’t mean that we aren’t open to having anybody on the show that has a story to tell. With that … we present to some and introduce to others our good friend and sister, Ms. Skylar Brooke! ✌🏽 Skylar comes as the third guest on this months “My Mental Matters In May” Season, and talks to us on today’s show about how mental health and art, have a direct correlation to how she best handles her mental health. Skylar was born in Spruce Pine, North Carolina, right outside of Johnson City, and graduated from UT-Knoxville. Mom & dad both play an important role in who she is, so we talk about her background growing up and her transition into Nashville. Skylar truly is a dope woman, and is currently working on a project aiming to give back to artists that have dealt with mental health issues and drug addictions by way of opening up her own home to create opportunities for artists by way of creating an at-home art gallery. She talks about how most artists often times get taken advantage of, and she wants to provide them with resources that help build a foundation to continue their creativity. Skylar enjoys making custom pieces as well, because it allows her to give her clients a one-of-one project that shows them how powerful they can be if they tap into those vulnerable muscles. Man, today’s episode is a good one! Don’t miss it! ✌🏽 “Have You Heard A Black Man Vent Today?”™️Keep up with Skylar’s social media handles to stay updated on the progress of at-home her art gallery! “My Mental Matters In May” With Eric Capehart ✌🏽

Good Morning Nashville ☀️ A new week, means a new episode from your favorite father and son podcast in the state of Tennessee. Tell a friend about us! We embrace community, service, and mental health, as we aim to change the narrative behind black men and mental health one episode at a time. Let’s get into today’s episode! 🔥 We are presenting our second guest to you guys as we continue to debut our season/series titled “My Mental Matters In May”. Today’s special guest is a man of many hats. A father, husband, life coach, licensed counselor, does some boxing, he definitely keeps his schedule busy and his mind working. We are excited to introduce to our audience Mr. Eric Capehart ⭐️ Eric comes to our platform today and vents about marriage. 14 years in with his wife thus far, and he talks with us about how marriage can be hard, but marriage can be simple. “Just like I chose to get married, I’m choosing to stay married.”Social media has really tainted the covenant meaning behind what marriage is really all about. We as a society tend to see other relationships, and want to mirror what’s on our screen, not knowing what that may come with. Eric states that a lot of men don’t really have a platform to vent about marriage. If a man wants to vent, where does he go without being judged? Today’s episode is a good one … take some time to listen to a black man vent today. ✌🏽“Have You Heard A Black Man Vent Today?”™️SIGN UP TODAY FOR OUR BOWLING TOURNAMENT! “My Mental Matters In May” with Don Loiacano ✌🏽

Good Morning Nashville ☀️ IT IS MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH! 🚨 Every month is a month that we try to push hard behind mental health, but in May? We have to make sure that we are next level with every episode, every guest, and any part of what we do for the month. May will debut our season/series titled “My Mental Matters in May.” Like last year, this season is to truly center in on what mental health means to our community by way of inviting guests that aren’t all black men. May is a month where we want to embrace all ethnicities, genders, and cultures in our own way. Expect this month to be filled with diversity, different perspectives, and an overall twist to how we do our week-to-week content. Let’s get into this weeks episode. 🔥 It is never fun to be in the middle of a mental health crisis, and not know who to call, what to do, or where to go. NAMI Davidson County is just one of a few chapters here in Tennessee, but they are an organization that has worked effortlessly to ensure when there is a mental health need, they come first to render service when it’s needed. We take some time to sit down with the Chief Program Officer of NAMI Davidson County, Mr. Don Loiacano ⭐️ Don vents about how he has been dealing with his own mental health struggles for the last 40 years, and truly comes to speak to us about his lived experiences behind managing his mental health throughout his life. We highlight NAMI as a whole, talk about the NAMIWalks Nashville event, and Don talks to our audience more about how NAMI began and what they do. 💫 Don is a proud dad, and talks about how tough it can be at times navigating a mental health crisis while still trying to be a parent. We don’t talk about how hard it is as an adult to manage your own mental health issues, then learn that your child may have a diagnoses, and now have to help them manage theirs too. Don is very vocal in our episode about his diagnosis of OCD, Depression, & Anxiety. Take some time today to listen in to Don’s story and how daily he does the best he can to not be defined by his diagnosis, but using his diagnosis and story to help the next person overcome what he has thus far. 🙏🏽“Have You Heard A Black Man Vent Today?”™️ ✌🏽IF YOU ENJOYED TODAY’S EPISODE, TAKE SOME TIME TO GIVE US A 5 ⭐️ REVIEW AT THE LINK BELOW! BMVT: Venting With Ricky Robinson ✌🏽

Good Morning Nashville ☀️ Another week means another episode from your favorite father and son podcast! Let’s get into today’s episode as we allow another black man to vent today on our platform. We’ve said this before … but we honor our guests and never allow them to feel less than, or beneath us based on their stories told on the show. Not too many platform lead with this type of intention, which is what makes us who we are as a father and son show. With that … we are excited to introduce to some, and present to others a very well known face in the media industry. This brother has been in the same rooms as Young Buck, Starlito, Quanie Cash, “Bubbadub” the comedian, even Jay-Z and more! We want to welcome our good friend and brother, Mr. “If You Alive Subscribe” himself, Ricky Robinson to the BMVT platform. ✌🏽 One thing about Ricky is that he has no problem “venting”, and speaking his mind on certain topics and things that occur in our community. In this episode, we open up a lot of dialogue surrounding his imprisonment and the lasting effects that experience had on him at a young age, parenting and how he aims to regain a relationship with his daughter, the black media presence in Nashville, and even pays homage to his grandmother who influenced Ricky in a many of ways. When asked what Ricky wanted to vent about on the show, he took that time to hold himself accountable to a mistake made on his own well-known platform, the “If You Alive Subscribe” Show. One thing about myself and my pops, we don’t “create” questions for any of our guest. Instead, we allow the energy and presence of God to put every piece of the conversation together as best as we can. And today’s episode did just that, talking with Ricky, and allowing him to both vent, and apologize to someone he felt he needed to address publicly. A lot packed into this episode, more of a reason why you should take some time to listen to a black man vent today. “Have You Heard A Black Man Vent Today?”™️IF YOU ENJOYED TODAY’S EPISODE, TAKE SOME TIME TO GIVE US A 5 ⭐️ REVIEW AT THE LINK BELOW! https://g.page/r/CRSq4ACEnM5LEBM/reviewBMVT Ad Break ℹ️ Spades ♠️ Club“Starting in May, Every 3rd Saturday of the Month”Location: Donelson Branch Library, 2714 Old Lebanon PikeTime: 1:30p-2:30pBMVT Music Shoutout 💿 2 Live Bre - Put It On God 🙏🏽 Human Butterfly, (2023)BMVT Black News Weekly 📰 Black Mental Health Village - CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS TO SUPPORT OUR UPCOMING EVENTS AND PROGRAMMING!Click the link for more info ℹ️ https://www.bmhv.org/volunteerMental Health Awareness Month 🧠 Be A Part Of Our 2nd Annual “Spare Your Mind” Doubles Bowling Tournament! Good Morning Nashville ☀️ Once again we are beyond excited to bring to you a new episode of the FIRST & ONLY black father and son podcast in the state of Tennessee. Don’t get tired of us yet, because we don’t plan on going anywhere no time soon! Let’s get into today’s episode as we allow another black man to vent today on our platform. Man, what a story do we have for you today being told by this young man. Our platform truly embraces the concept of a “NO JUDGEMENT ZONE.” Not too many media platforms can say that, but we honor our guests and never allow them to feel less than, or beneath us based on their stories told on the show. With that … we are excited to introduce to some, and present to others our brother and talented rap artist here in Nashville, Mr. Elton Maupins. ⭐️ Elton, also known by his stage name “Gvoice32”, grew up in Doge City, and his story truly speaks on how God can bring you from “poverty through perseverance.” Elton vents with us today about being diagnosed at an early age with PTSD schizophrenia, and how hard it was to be told these things at a young age … not knowing what they meant or how it would effect him later in life. He admits to having a troubled life, but tells us that often times, kids have to play the hand that is dealt to them. Elton talks about how all he knew was the streets, because that was all his environment was. Venting with us about what comes with the street life, Elton knew as he got older that if he stayed there … he wouldn’t make it out. 🙏🏽 We want to pay respects to his brother, 🕊️ may he continue to rest well. BMVT: Venting With Omari Burkley-Huggins ✌🏽

Good Morning Nashville ☀️ We decided to take a month off to access where we were, evaluate where we are, and plan ahead for where God wants us to go with this platform. This break was necessary, as it has helped us rest, rejuvenate, and be ready for the next stretch of continuous weekly episodes. So, with that being said … WELCOME BACK TO THE FIRST & ONLY BLACK FATHER AND SON PODCAST IN THE STATE OF TENNESSEE! ⭐️ Let’s get into today’s episode! We’re coming back strong with a historical episode on today. Presenting to some and introducing to others, the now YOUNGEST GUEST EVER ON BMVT, Mr. Omari Burkley-Huggins ✌🏽Today is his birthday! 🎈 and what better time to put the episode on air than the day God brought him into this world 11 years ago. Omari is a proud 5th grade student at Ruby Major Elementary School where he truly has presented himself as a leader in the hallways and amongst his peers. He comes on the show today to vent about mental health from his lens of life, and we discuss how he advocates for mental health in his own way.Omari, appointed by his guidance counselor, has the important role of being a “Junior Mental Health Counselor” at Ruby Major Elementary School. “I have the courage to help people deal with all their problems,” he says. Omari takes pride in being a shoulder to lean on for his peers at school, and has taken on a huge responsibility that not too many 11 year olds are doing in the world today. Mr. Burkley-Huggins, however, has experienced a lot of grief in his short time on earth. His beloved grandmother, Lekesia Willis 🕊️, was a huge inspiration to him. He vented with us about his feelings behind her transcendence, but highlighted how he used to always enjoy getting a Thortons gas station slushy with her after school. We get into so much more with this young man in today’s podcast. BMVT : Venting With Eric Bryson, Sr. ✌🏽

Good Morning Nashville ☀️ We are once again excited to be a part of you guys new week, as we continue to embrace Black History Month and honor those that paved the way for us. Thank you to everyone that continues to support our initiative and what we’re doing to etch ourselves in black history, by being the ONLY black father and son podcast in the state of Tennessee! ⭐️ Mental health is real, and we see why each and every day. Let’s get into today’s episode as we listen to another black man vent today about how they best deal with mental health. We are excited to bring to the show a long time and well known basketball coach in Nashville, a true native of the city, and has positively impacted easily over 1,000+ kids district wide with his influence, love, and compassion for children of all kinds. Beloved former MNPS Coach & now Athletic Director, Eric Bryson has joined the BMVT podcast! ✌🏽 Sitting down with Coach, we talk about how the dynamics of coaching has changed drastically. Coach Bryson talks about how nowadays, the kids don’t show as much true passion behind sports anymore. Everything is so “tech-led” nowadays, and has robbed our children of the experience of just general outdoor activities. Then a lot of times, the kids we see in the hallways are dealing with so much mentally … so it makes it hard to decipher the true cause or common issue. We discuss the children of today, but he also vents with us about his own children. Being a young dad at the age of 19, Coach B talks with us about how hard that was navigating parenthood, being a college student, and having to face the tough conversations of announcing to his parents “the news.” You guys will enjoy today’s episode for sure, take some time to listen to a black man vent today. ✌🏽“Have You Heard A Black Man Vent Today?”™️#BMVTBMVT Ad Break ℹ️ Sip & Paint Event 🎨🍸w/Lexi PayneScarritt Bennett Center 📍1027 18th Ave S, Nashville, TN 🕰️ 4:30p-6:30p, February 27th, 2025 📸 Instagram: southerngurlyyBMVT Commercial Break 📺 Nashville Peacemakers Presents: Clemmie G Anti-Violence Community Day @Hadley Park SPECIAL GUEST: PROJECT PAT 💿 ⭐️ 📆 April 5th, 2025 ⏰ 1:00p-7:00p📞: Angela Hinds, 615-877-0767 for more infoBMVT Music Break 💿 Derrell Thomas, Gospel Recording ArtistSong: “Thank You” 🎵 LISTEN HERE: https://music.apple.com/us/album/thank-you-lord/1579053494?i=1579053496BMVT Black News Weekly 📰 St. James MBC Installation EventDr. George T. BMVT: Venting With Calvin “Fridge” Bryant ✌🏽

Good Morning Nashville ☀️ Once again, we are excited to be a part of you guys new week! One time for the month of February …SAY IT LOUD! IM BLACK AND IM PROUD! ✊🏽HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH FROM THE ONLY BLACK FATHER AND SON PODCAST IN THE STATE OF TENNESSEE! ⭐️ Let’s get into today’s episode. 🔥 We got an EXCLUSIVE guest gracing our platform on today’s show. Some folks claim to be an “OG” in their neighborhood, but this brother surely has earned that title with his impact, influence, and efforts taken to change the law that landed him in prison. A humble giant he is, we present to some and introduce to others our brother Calvin “Fridge” Bryant. ✌🏽Once a product of the system, Calvin has been around the city and beyond “venting” about his experience, inspiring the next generations to come. We get into our conversation and Mr. Bryant vents about how important it is to have black males in Nashville step up to be there for not just their children, but any child they come in contact with. It is by design for the powers that be to keep the black man out the home, so often times a child is in need of a positive black male role model … and we have failed in that quest. But he also talks about how for all of us, right now we are all in some sort of mental battle. We’ve seen the new administration do so much, and it has left a lot of us worried and concerned. Calvin also talks about the importance of being involved in your local government. Too many people get fixated on federal agendas, and do not take into account what locally impacts their own communities. It’s a lot to unpack from our talk with “Big Fridge”, make sure to buy a copy of his book at the link in our episode description. 📖 We definitely got a good episode for you guys today, take some time to listen to a black man vent today. ✌🏽 “Have You Heard A Black Man Vent Today?”™️Give us a 5-star rating on Google today if you enjoyed today’s episode! ⭐️ Click Here: https://g.page/r/CRSq4ACEnM5LEBM/reviewBMVT Ad Break ℹ️ We Keep The Faith Presents: “Sip & Connect” 🍸 Community Networking EventCalling all entrepreneurs, dreamers, and creators! 🔥 Hosted by: Leah Lovettee 🌺 📍 Address: 309 Plus Park Blvd, Nashville, TN, 37217📅 Date: March 15th, 2025 🕰️ Time: 6:00pm-8:30pm BMVT Commercial Break 📺 “KICK IT WITH KYLA” ZUMBA CLASS 💃🏽 📍 Every Saturday 8:00am & 9:00am3918 Dickerson Pike #115Nashville, TN 37207BMVT Music Break 💿 Itz Jaleel - Blessed 🎶 Instagram: @itz.jaleel BMVT Black News Weekly 📰 Ladies Of Unique, 💜“The Ladies of Unique are proud to announce the launch of The Gina Marie Scholarship, an initiative dedicated to empowering and supporting college students in the Middle TN area.”**Scholarship winners announced May 2025 🏅 💻 Website: https://www.ladiesofunique.com/scholarship“BOTH SIDES OF THE STORY”By Calvin Bryant PURCHASE HERE: https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/both-sides-of-the-story-calvin-bryant/1144899770;jsessionid=3E7D1158626C61C7F3B15C5508A42673.prodny_store01-atgap18?ean=9798869212771:

BMVT: Venting With Carlos Partee ✌🏽

Good Morning Nashville! ☀️ We are excited as always to be a part of your new week. Last time we checked, we still stand as the ONLY black father and son podcast/platform in the state of Tennessee. ⭐️ For our new listeners coming into this episode, we want to thank you for listening in to the Black Men Vent Too Podcast. A podcast aiming to change the narrative behind black men, one episode at a time. Let’s get into today’s episode! 🔥 Without a doubt, today’s guest is a true pillar in the Nashville community. Born and raised “Out East”, and in those adolescent years was able to develop and mature from various experiences into the man that he is today. We are excited to bring co-founder of the Nashville Black Market, Carlos Partee to the show! ⭐️ As an entrepreneur, trailblazer, and husband, Carlos always has something to do. We get a chance to sit him down and mentally unpack a little bit of everything he has done so far in life and how he’s managed some of the struggles within the journey. We bring up the topic of “grinding & grieving”, and how hard it is to maintain focus when your heart hurts. Our condolences to his family as they mourn the transcending 🕊️ of his great grandmother, but we talk on that note about how hard it is sometimes to service others, when you’re the one in moments that needs it most. Not just grief, but stress in general can impact any business owner … black or white. He talks about how he had to at one point, choose between an event versus a funeral. The natural person would say “of course go to the funeral”, but as a man, we are always thinking of how we can keep food on the table. Often times a split decision like this can really be mentally detrimental because, what decision in that moment is the “right” decision? But Carlos has learned to adjust as he goes, and vents more about his life journey on the show. We cannot grow without you, and we are thankful to have your listenership on today’s episode.Let’s get into it! 🔥 Guys, we got a good episode for you on today. Our guest was not born a “black” man, and if you’ve followed us for a while … then you know, that’s okay with us. But, he is a man that has a story that needs to be told on our platform today. ‼️We want to welcome to the platform our good friend and brother, Denis Bermudez ⭐️ to the show. Spending time at Montgomery Bell Academy coming up and being a student at Vanderbilt University, Denis comes to our platform married, with a beautiful family, and has really made an amazing life for himself that came from the lessons of adversity. A native of Ecuador 🇪🇨, we enjoyed talking with Denis about the feeling of being from an immigrant family. He recalls the memories of his parents moving to the states at 6 years old and telling him, “we’re never going back.” He never knew English, so talk about mentally how tough that was for a kid to be removed from “home”, and places in a foreign community? This moment began a new life for Denis & his family. He vents about the dynamics of that major move, and also talks with us about how social media paints such a false sense of reality. It is so much easier for people to be one person behind the phone, but a different person when the phone is removed. So much to gain from this episode, so be sure to not skip one piece! BMVT: Venting With Dr. DeAngelo Richardson ✌🏽

Good Morning Nashville ☀️ THE FIRST EPISODE OF THE NEW YEAR FROM THE ONLY BLACK FATHER AND SON PODCAST IN THE STATE OF TENNESSEE! ⭐️ Guys, have you told somebody about us yet? This year make it a goal to let everyone know near and far what we’re doing here in Nashville, TN with Black Men Vent Too. ✌🏽 Our brand hosts services that cater to the betterment of mental health in OUR black men. One of those services being our award winning podcast, aiming to serve our community with good conversation, trustworthy information, and perspective behind mental health as a whole. Let’s rock out this year, and see what God has in store for the growth of BMVT. 🙏🏽 Today’s guest? Yea, strap your seatbelts on for this one. 🚘 Detroit could not have produced a better human being that has so much passion behind what he does for Christ, his family, and his children. There are different reasons behind why our guest is passionate about God, but you’ll just have to hear that for yourself here. An award winning international speaker 🌍 , certified business coach, father, husband, Dr. DeAngelo Richardson joins the BMVT platform! 🔥 We get right into the conversation with high energy praising God for who He is, and worshipping Him for what He’s done. Dr. Richardson has some things that he feels the world needs to hear from God because, quite frankly, we’re running out of time. Sitting down with Dr. Richardson, he vents with us about his movement titled “Different Reasons, Inc.”🌟 Make sure you click the link below for more detailed info behind this global initiative.Dr. Richardson pleads to our people that we have to open our eyes and see that God is setting order in the world. Mass casualties over here, snowstorms on the East coast, wildfires on the West Coast, people are dying faster and living seems like it is the lesser of the two choices sometimes for some folks. We have so many distractions that have plagued us from sound doctrine. Nobody thinks about the life, AFTER life anymore. We have become fixated to reality, and are allowing those thoughts to supersede what we “see” spiritually. Dr. Richardson makes a charge that we get back to God, as a culture, while we still have time. Within today’s conversation, we also discuss legacy & Dr. Richardson’s family, his upbringing in Detroit, and the journey behind how God led him to his wife. The beautiful thing about our platform is that we are willing to bring to the mic the old, and the young. Presenting to some and introducing to others, our good brother and friend Rapheal Hopkins & his son, Jei’Onni McCandless. ⭐️ We get into the conversation with the father-and-son duo, and Rapheal, affectionately known as “Pooh”, talks about the joys of fatherhood. We also talk to Jei’Onni, and ask him how he mentally handles the responsibilities of being a big brother to his sister, and being the man of the house when dad is not home. At his young age, he reads the Bible in the back seat of the car on the way to football games … only influenced by his father and how he has raised him to be the young man he is today.High praise for Rapheal, as he vents about the importance of presence in the lives of these kids. He prides himself on not even associating with “deadbeats”, and talks about how mentally damaging men like that are to these kids. Guys, we went out with a bang on this last episode. BMVT: Venting With LotisMusic ✌🏽

Good Morning Nashville ☀️ Santa couldn’t be the only one giving out gifts this Christmas season 🎁 So with that, BLACK MEN VENT TOO DECIDED TO GIFT OUR SUPPORTERS WITH TWO BACK-TO-BACK EPISODE DROPS! 🔥 We are excited to once again be a part of you guys week. With the year coming to an end, we are grateful for what God has done for the platform. But trust, we have so much more in store. Let’s get into today’s surprise episode with our EXCLUSIVE guest. ⭐️ An Antioch, Tennessee native, graduate of Tennessee State University, we bring to the BMVT table none other than Noah Bayless, affectionately known as “LotisMusic”. 🎵 Lotis comes and vents with us on the platform about his upbringing, and how he became to be the man he is today. We get heavily into him venting about gatekeepers, and how Nashville has an issue with watching others who may surpass one another in their respective industry. Lotis helped us realize that our job is to serve others, knowing that they could pass us on in our journey, but not allowing emotions to interfere in the growth of those experiences. He also comes to vent about how black people are our own worst enemy, and expands on that with his most recent job loss. Do you know the struggle of being an up and coming artist, while still working a 9 to 5? Lotis takes that experience, evaluated where he was right and wrong, and comes to vent about that and more today on the show. He surely is no stranger to high level basketball experiences. But he tells us about how the hoop dreams at one point in his life, looked far beyond his imagination. Presenting to some and introducing to others, our brother Mr. Tyree Martin ⭐️ Southside of Chicago is where Tyree is from, being raised in the basketball culture there he transitioned to Tennessee to follow his dream of basketball. “Black Fathers & Sons”: Venting With David Woodard & Jim Thomas Groves ✌🏽

Good Morning Nashville ☀️ Beyond excited to be bringing you guys a new episode this week, but even moreso just grateful to be alive as we round off the year of 2024. Been one crazy year, huhn? I’m sure you can say the same. But one thing that hasn’t changed, is weekly drops from the ONLY black father and son podcast in the state of Tennessee. Let’s get into today’s episode ⭐️ Man, my pops and myself are so excited to have you guys hear this one today. Paying homage to the elders is something that we should do more of. It is often that the older we get, the more the world forgets about us, and that’s the story for a lot of those in the elderly community today. 🙏🏽 Well, we want to try and change that narrative by presenting a different opportunity for one very popular Cross Plains, TN native & his grandson. As we continue to walk through our season/series titled “Black Fathers & Sons”, we bring to the platform the legend, Mr. Jim Thomas Groves & his grandson, Mr. David Woodard. ✌🏽 Mr. Jim makes history with us, surpassing TSU Legend & Professor Dr. James Haney as the OLDEST GUEST EVER ON THE BLACK MEN VENT TOO PODCAST 🏆 Mr. Jim, also known as the “Turnip Green Man”, doesn’t hesitate to grab that mic and vent about a lot of things that were on his mind. Guys, he’s been married for over 70+ years to his now 92 year old sweetheart. We ask Mr. Jim what’s the secret behind longevity in a day where folks don’t last 7 days with each other. His answer was simple … “just keep it moving.” 💯 David Woodard ⭐️ , a former guest on the show, comes back to the platform with his grandfather to talk more about the farming industry and what to look after in our food intake going into the new year. David has committed himself to vlogging his newfound hobby of farming, and educating viewers on nutritional facts that may save their lives down the line. We talk about why nowadays, an apple and certain other products, aren’t the same size as it once were in grocery stores. Have you noticed that Nashville? 👀 We get into that and a WHOLE lot more from this dynamic grandfather and grandson duo. Above all else, giving a 93-years young man an opportunity to be on a podcast, was just dope in itself. 🙏🏽 Take some time to listen to a black father and son man vent today. ✌🏽“Have You Heard A Black Man Vent Today?”™️More to come guys from this season of “Black Fathers & Sons” so make sure yal stay locked in with us this month! 🔥 Follow our guy David and keep up with the “Turnip Green Man” at the social handles below. “Black Fathers & Sons”: Venting With Brandon Sawyer & Neru Gobin ✌🏽

Good Morning Nashville ☀️ We are beyond excited to be entering the last month of the year with our listeners and supporters. If you have rocked with us all of 2024, we want to say thank you for your loyal listenership. Stay tuned, as we have more stories to be told of men overcoming their mental health in the future. December will introduce our final season/series titled “Black Fathers & Sons.” The goal of this season is to dedicate our platform to black fathers and sons as we bring these men on to discuss the positive dynamics within the relationship that are often overlooked by society. Got a great guest pair kicking off this season, let’s get into today’s episode! We are excited to bring to our platform the first guest duo for our “Black Fathers & Sons” season. Brandon Sawyers (son) is a graduate of Tennessee Tech University with a degree in Accounting. Although he couldn’t make it, we want to give a shoutout to Brandon’s older brother AJ, who also has played an influential roll in the overall development of Brandon as a young man. Representing the south side of Chicago, we bring forth Neru “Mr. Lawrence” Gobin (bonus dad) to the platform. A graduate of the University Of Illinois, and majored in Psychology, he began working at a hospital in Illinois. Time surpassed where Mr. Lawrence traveled down south to Tennessee State University where he ventured into starting his career, and while in that process, also meeting the woman that he now calls his wife. We dive into our conversation with these young men and see how mentally they have managed life individually, as well as together. One topic we brought up is how a man can often times be crippled mentally and emotionally when he doesn’t have a dollar to his name. Any black man, or man in general, surely can say that it’s no fun when there’s nothing in your pockets. But especially for black men, we are labeled, stereotyped, and stigmatized daily. Then to not have any way to support your family or yourself? Surely could put anyone in helpless state with their mental health. A lot to take away from this episode, please take some time to listen to a father & son vent today. ✌🏽“Have You Heard A Black Man Vent Today?”™️We got a lot more coming from this season of “Black Fathers & Sons” so make sure you guys stay tuned for the next pair of guests!
