& Lived

Once upon a time, I wanted to kill myself. In fact, I did kill myself, or at least a version of me. It started in 2020 when I broke up with my boyfriend. I traded my ex for a dog, changed homes, cars, and careers, and eventually quit that job to move into a van. I lost 82 pounds and most of my hair, but I transformed my life from the inside out. I Marie Kondo'd myself until all I had were the parts that brought me joy. I thanked the parts of myself that no longer needed to exist and had the courage to let them go. I killed myself and lived to tell the tale, and you can, too.

Do You Believe in Magic? (Highs & Lows of 2023)

Join me on a trip down memory lane as I recount the magical moments of 2023 as well as some of the lowest lows. (Please bear with me, I promise, there is a point buried in there somewhere). This episode covers negativity bias, the thing in your brain that makes negative thoughts stick like velcro, while acting like teflon for positive ones and how to overcome it. I DARE YOU to challenge those negative thoughts to a boxing match AND WIN armed with my two heavy hitting questions that just might earn you the Championship Belt.  Learn how to train your mind to find magic in the everyday moments and see the extraordinary in the ordinary. Magic is as real as you make it, and whoever said otherwise, just didn’t know where to look.  Until next time, keep believing, keep seeking, and keep finding the magic in your everyday adventures! — Connect with Kylie: Grab my e-book, 5 Strategies to Stay Alive Get chapter 4 for FREE Instagram & Lived Instagram Thanks for listening!  If you enjoyed this episode, be sure to follow, leave a review, and share it with a friend. The Santa Claus Conundrum

Ready to unravel the mysteries behind the Santa Claus Conundrum? I'll take you on a journey back in time, exploring how our childhood belief in Santa shaped unshakable thought patterns. Remember being told to be "good" for Santa's Nice List and reap those Christmas presents? Those ingrained loops might still steer your choices today, aiming to please authority figures like bosses, parents, or partners. It's high time to recognize your inherent goodness without needing an Elf on the Shelf to check in on you.  Just like Ebenezer Scrooge's transformative journey, it's never too late to break free from old thought patterns and evolve into a version of ourselves unrecognizable from our past. Remember, even the Grinch's heart grew three sizes... I'd love to hear your thoughts on today's topic. Feel free to share your experiences in the comments or drop me a message. Let's keep this conversation going! — Connect with Kylie: Grab my e-book, 5 Strategies to Stay Alive Get chapter 4 for FREE Instagram & Lived Instagram Thanks for listening!  If you enjoyed this episode, be sure to follow, leave a review, and share it with a friend. Codependent Kylie - No More

Hi, My name is Kylie, I am a recovering Codependent and this is the story of how I broke up with my ex boyfriend of 8 years. When my long-term relationship ended, I found myself lost, as our lives had become deeply intertwined. But hitting rock bottom gave me a unique opportunity to choose which parts of myself I wanted to reclaim. I’ll take you back to the time I spent a year in the bathtub deep diving into the shadows of my mind, and figuring out how to love the very worst parts of myself. It was a journey of reconnecting with who I truly am, who I had been showing up as, and who I WANTED TO BE MOVING FORWARD, if I was going to stay on the planet. As I discovered the power of self-love, I realized that the more I valued myself, the less I sought validation from others. And I was gently reminded that sometimes loving yourself - includes loving yourself enough to leave. — Connect with Kylie: Grab my e-book, 5 Strategies to Stay Alive Get chapter 4 for FREE Instagram & Lived Instagram — Thanks for listening! I Went Skyyyyyydiving

Skydiving was NOT on my agenda for this month. At least until my dad casually joked about “what could possibly be scarier than starting a podcast?” – and soon, I found myself jumping out of a perfectly good airplane.  In an unexpected turn, the scariest part wasn't the descent itself. Confronting fear directly brought about a significant insight about what I fear most of all: It's not the fear of death, but the fear of not truly experiencing life to its fullest extent. Tune in to learn the difference between Fear and Danger and discover the antidote to your fear in order to find the courage to do hard things and life a life worth living.  I can't help but encourage you to take that leap too, if a 90-year-old lady can do it, Why can’t you?  Connect with Kylie: Grab my e-book, 5 Strategies to Stay Alive Get chapter 4 for FREE Instagram & Lived Instagram Thanks for listening!  If you enjoyed this episode, be sure to follow, leave a review, and share it with a friend. The One About Thanksgiving & BOUNDARIES ft. My Best Friend

Thanksgiving is hands down my favorite holiday, but it didn’t used to be. Back in my people-pleaser era, I was always running around like a chicken with my head cut off, worrying about everyone else’s happiness except for my own – and I HATED it.  Tune in to learn what happens when setting a boundary GOES RIGHT and how I started loving my favorite holiday again. Oh yeah, there’s also a surprise guest appearance from my bestie, Taylor, who steps in to share the story of that time I tried to break up with her, and she wouldn't let me (thank heavens).  This is a lesson in not being afraid to have those hard conversations because the real friends stick around. Inauthentic AF: Killing Your Inner People-Pleaser

Are you really being your authentic self? Are you putting others’ needs above your own? It’s time to take off the masks and kill the people-pleaser inside of you. In this episode, I’m sharing a bit about my experience with people-pleasing and the moment I realized just how inauthentic AF I was. We learn about SETTING the emotional thermostat of the room instead of just attuning ourselves to it. I also talk about the reasoning behind this behavior and how we can start to break free from these patterns. How have you been abandoning yourself? I’d love to hear from you! The Energy Teacup: Who’s Draining You?

Trigger Warning: This episode discusses sensitive topics related to suicide and depression. You know how they say you can’t pour from an empty cup? Well, today, we’re talking about what I like to call the “energy teacup.” It’s a concept that’s all about taking stock of the energy you give and receive. At the end of the episode, I’ll leave you with a few questions to ponder that will empower you to start taking back your life. I’d love to hear your thoughts and the answers you came up with!
