The way a mother reacts to her husband, her attitude toward him, will color the children's interpretation of their father. She poisons the well against him, and turns the children against him.A mother coddling her children, treating her children like they're not capable of doing what dad tells them to do creates in them a sense that they are incapable. The problem at the center of it is that women are emotionally weak, and indulge in their every emotion. She can't stomach her husband's conduct with the children, and she can't stomach her children do anything that is hard, unless the child seems happy and excited about it. Lack of fatherhood is regularly blamed for the various psychological issues of their children, but that’s too convenient. Looking upstream of the problem, we see there’s a cause to why many fathers seem to be insufficient. Have you seen the movie Braveheart? Remember the scene when William Wallace and his men prepare for battle by taking carts loaded with barrels of oil to where the English will line up for the following day’s battle, and soaks their side with the oil? Sure enough, the next day, the English line up on the soggy side, just where William Wallace and his men planned. Wallace has his archers fire flaming arrows toward the English, and the English soldiers burst into flames. That’s kind of like what many wives do to their husbands by baiting him in to a fight. Many wives are so skilled and practiced that they can turn anything into a fight through defensiveness and deflection. For example, she’s making herself a sandwich, and you ask her if she’ll make you a sandwich too. She fires back, “YOU should be making ME a sandwich,” then launches into a tirade against you, bringing up a laundry list of supposed past offenses. You try to answer each one with logical responses, but she moves the goalposts onto another offense, and another, and another. All the resources online for struggling marrieds just tell the husbands to “love her” or get a divorce. There’s got to be something more. to “love her” is so general, and that doesn’t seem to break the cycle of dysfunction in the relationship. That’s because it assumes that you know how to “love her”, meaning you know what she needs and how to apply that in an effective way.In this episode, you’ll hear real, practical, easy to apply methods of giving your wife what she needs in the specific moments of dysfunction. Contrary to popular belief, each man was created for more than just becoming a husband and father. Many men repeat the adage that becoming a father is the highest level of manhood, that a man is not fully a man until he has children of his own and experiences how it changes him.Except that’s not the height of manhood. That’s a belief based on solipsism and feminism, for which there is significant overlap on the corresponding Venn diagram.Many men experience a higher sense of their own manhood upon becoming a father, but that is not the primary purpose for why we were created.
