For this first Sunday in lent, we will explore the significance of Leviticus, particularly the Day of Atonement, in understanding the cross. Though Leviticus seems obscure, it is crucial for grasping God's holiness and humanity's sinfulness.

This Sunday, we’ll explore how Christianity’s anti- political core brings true transformation. As Paul warns in Galatians, political divisions can derail the Gospel, but when we lay them down and let the Spirit lead, we find a hope that transcends politics and changes the world.

This week in our A Living Hope series we’ll be explore Ezekiel 37:1-14, a passage that show us that ultimately the only real hope we have for our lives is God working through His Word by his Spirit! If the Spirit isn’t at work we’ll never be more than dry bones.

This week we’ll take some time to consider the relationship of hope and our money. We’ll be looking at a fairly famous (but often misquoted) piece of scripture to get us there - 1 Timothy 6:6-10 & 17-19.

This we, explore Jeremiah’s message of hope in exile. Even as culture shifts and Christianity feels sidelined, God reminds us He has carried us here. With that assurance, we are called to seek the welfare of Chilliwack—praying for its success and finding ways to bless our city.

This week in our “A Living Hope” we talk about “Hope for Marriage”. Our text will be the classic New Testament passage on marriage, Ephesians 5:21-33.

This week we continue our sermon series called “A Living Hope” by exploring Titus 2:11-3:9, and looking at how this helps to give us hope for our work, no matter what kind of work we do!

Join us as we uncover how the Magi’s journey shows us that Christ's resurrection is hope for the whole world and how encountering others reveals even more of Jesus." Our scripture passage will be Matthew 2:1-6.

This Sunday, we celebrate the coming New Year with a sermon titled "Resting Our Way Into The New Year" in which we will look at Finding Rest, Redemption, and Renewal in a World of Exile. Our scripture passages will be Leviticus 25:1-7, Jeremiah 25: 8 - 12 and Jeremiah 29:10-14.

On Christmas Day we finish our series “Coming Home for Christmas” by looking at the Christmas story in the gospel of John (John 1:1-14). We’ll think about how the Christmas story isn’t ultimately about us coming home, but home coming to us!

Next week is our Candlelight service. There we’ll look at the parable of “The Lost Son” from Luke 15, and think about the theme of “Coming Home Again”, what that takes, and how we can all come home this Christmas.

This week we’re continuing our “Coming Home for Christmas” series by looking at Psalm 137, a Psalm of Lament from a people far away from home. We’ll together the role of lament and longing in our own lives, and how these themes are met in the Christmas story.

This Sunday, discover how Isaiah's prophecy and John 1 reveal Jesus as the eternal Word, transforming us from fleeting grass to everlasting glory. Our text will be Isaiah 40:3-8 and John 1:14 & 19-23.

This week we begin our advent series "Coming Home For Christmas" by looking at Genesis 3 where we read about Adam and Eve "Losing Home". We will discover that we all long for home but nothing will ever fully satisfy because anything we can find here is just a dim hint at the home we lost. We can look forever but we’ll never find it, and that’s because what we need is for God to come looking for us, and in Christ he’s done just that.

This week we’ll close out our sermons series “We Believe”, by looking at the phrase, “I believe in the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting” from the Apostle’s Creed. We’ll also talk about how this phrase gives us hope for the here and now. Our text will be Revelation 21:1-6.

This week we take a look at the Apostles Creed through the lens of the Lord's Prayer again, from Matthew and discuss the mysterious and powerful idea of forgiveness. Our text is Matthew 6:7-15.

This week in our We Believe series, we explore the Creed’s phrase, “I believe in the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints.” We’ll look at what that statement means, and why it’s still important today. Our text will be Ephesians 2:11-22.

We continue our “We Believe” series, looking at the very brief statement in the Apostle’s Creed, “I believe in the Holy Spirit.” Specifically we’ll look at who this third person of the Trinity is, what he does, and what that means for our lives. Our text will be John 14:15-26.

This week we will zoom in on the second, and largest section of the Apostles Creed: the section on Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

This week we’re starting a new sermon series, “I Believe”, which follows the Apostle’s Creed and is all about the basics of the Christian Faith. It’s important to get this stuff right, because if we don’t, we’re following something other than the God of the Bible. We’ll start with the most basic article of faith, “I believe in God the Father Almighty.”

This parable in Matthew 20:1-16 gets us to focus on God's generosity and grace, but in a round about way. Initially we object with all the workers who started early, because we want things to be fair. But the landowner (God) is not fair. The fact is we all like to think that we're the workers who went out early in the morning to work in the vineyard, but the reality is we're most like the one's who come late and get paid the same. When we realize how little we've done, and how much we don't deserve the reward of the Kingdom, what else can we say but thank you.

This week, our fourth marker theme is "I Am Called & Equipped ". Our Scripture will be 1 Samuel 3 and we will explore how we can join Samuel in recognizing God's voice amidst distractions and embrace His call in our lives.

This week, our third marker theme is "Having Hope" and we’ll get at that by looking at the parable of the prodigal son.

Join us as we dive deeper into the second our four identity markers as Cornerstone CRC, focussing on "Knowing" with Pastor Erik. Our text will be John 8:31-38.

We continue our “This Is Us” sermon series by looking at the first of Cornerstone’s Value, with a sermon called “I Belong”. Our text will be Isaiah 56:1-8.

We begin our new sermon series we’re calling "This Is Us", by examining Romans 1:1-17, and finding out what this has to do with our identity in Christ.
