The Medellin Derby - 90 minutes of crazy
The El Clasico Paisa sees the two colours of Medellin, red and green, face off in what is on of the world's most passionate rivalries. Curious in Latin America comes this week from the Atanasio Giradot Stadium where Independiente Medellin (league champions ) played their arch rivals Atlectico Nacional. Despite both sharing the stadium, Medellin were the home side.

Medellin - A lot more than Escobar
Many may only know of Medellin, Colombia's second largest city, through the Netflix TV series Narcos and that would be to do a great disservice to the sprawling city. There is so much to do and see and the area has a welcoming atmosphere and a bustling nightlife that keeps tourist coming. I spoke to a local to find out about the city's transformation to the most dangerous in the world to a must see backpacker destination.

How close is peace in Colombia?
260,000 people have died as a result of the conflict between the left wing guerrilla FARC group and the Colombian State in over 50 years of conflict. An estimated 6 million have been displaced. So why was a recent referendum on a peace deal between the two rejected by a margin of less than 1%? The answer is complex. I spoke to the "Camping for Peace" movement which is in the centre of Plaza de Bolivar in Bogota to try and gain some additional insight.
