Discussing Being Gwen:A life and death story
Triggers: Transgender violence, MurderThis one was rough but necessary. Do we sidetrack hard? Yes. I think that's due to how we were feeling in this episode. It isn't easy. We do not go into great detail about the murder, but I think we wanted to bring some awareness to this crime and the laws that were passed afterwards.Linked below is the video we watched about Gwen. I am also linking to Gwendolyn Smith's website, Remembering Our Dead. <3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=822926LQAbYRemembering Our DeadBlog: www.finallyoutwithfriends.comFacebook:Finally Out With Friends PageInstagram:Rye N Bea (@finally_out_with_friends) • Instagram photos and videos Hosted on Acast. Can You See The Apple?
TW: None?Today we talk a little about the interesting conditions called Aphantasia and Prosopagnsia. Which one of us has these conditions? Not Bea, whose mind is blown that people can not see in their mind's eye. We also get far off topic and talk about lawsuits, and living wages. The Grizzlies Review
TW: Suicide, Sexual Assalt, Murder, Violence, Residential Schools. Today we are reviewing a movie called the Grizzlies. It is an independent film based on a true story of a youth lacrosse team from Kugluktuk, Nunavut. ( I did my best to pronounce that, and honestly, I think I nailed it!) Our review is, I am sure not surprising to our frequent listeners, but all over the place. We talk a little about World Indigenous People Day, some of the struggles of the movie, and the residential schools that the Indigenous people were forced into. Merica eye roll
On this episode of random topics, do we perhaps talk about ‘merica doing ‘merica things? Do we perhaps talk about people being gross in their car? Or perhaps, just perhaps, we talk about how Bea’s cat is the Michelin cat? Probably all of the above if we are being real. Bea's Brain
In this episode, shockingly we once again have pure randomness, the DISORGANIZED episode features such things as self-care, Michigan basements, and Rye disagreeing with Bea for literally 10 minutes about if they know the unnamed person whos going to watch her dog while she's on vacation. So, if you finish the episode, I swear there is a winner trophy for you. xDBlog: www.finallyoutwithfriends.comFacebook:Finally Out With Friends PageInstagram:Rye N Bea (@finally_out_with_friends) • Instagram photos and videos Hosted on Acast. Self Care Is Sometimes Being Late
Triggers: World events from the past, 9/11, Covid, School ViolenceHey Friends! Today we are talking about Self Care and the importance of this awareness day. The episode is late because I need to do some self care and sometimes that's Sims 4. We give some hopefully helpful tips, and talk about the Seven Pillars of Self Care that we found on the International Self Care Global website. We also talk about some of the things our generation has faced that may have highlighted the importances of us utilizing self care.
