    #24 Back Pain (Part 2)

In episode #22 Dr. Luke and I discussed working through back pain. This is part 2, my story of the most recent flare up of my back pain. This was probably the worst in the last 10 yrs. I have been treating with conservative care, but this is due to my other profession as a spine therapist, however I am/was able to consult with other professionals in my clinic should I feel the need to take the next steps. As with any serious medical symptoms always consult with a physician to ensure proper diagnosis and to establish a POC whatever course that may be.

    #23 Sleep and Hydration

We all know we need to be hydrated and get sleep, however they are much more important than what communicated or thought off. I wanted to touch on few things to demonstrate the importance of both. Why we need to be consistent with sleep( and getting enough of it) and hydration ( more than water and why). For those who are interested in getting some good hydration supplements and want to save a little cash here is a link to the MTN Ops site to do just thatrstr.co/mtnops/20055Or use code” FLATLANDER”www.flatlanderfit.com

    #21 : Do the work

"New year, new me" Its that time of the year when many people talk about goals or resolutions only to do just that, talk about it. How many times do you end having or are in a conversation where exercise, health or diet comes up? How many times has it come up only to not even attempt trying to change it. We all know that for anything to change we need to do the work. No magic pill or supplement just plain work... no more talking...Use Code: FLATLANDER to save 20% on MTN Ops supplements www.mtnops.comwww.flatlanderfit.com

    # 15- Trusting the Process

I wanted to answer a few questions/ comments I have got on a recent post on social media. I recently posted about returning to archery/ bowhunting after being injured a few times. It was a long process, two steps forward and then one or two back. I had to constantly reassess, trial different exercises, modify some. I had short term success and failure. I don't take "it can't be done" or "No, it won't work" very well. I really stuck with and trusted the process. This got a little winded but I wanted to emphasize how important it is to stick with work/ process and find a trainer that you can have good conversation with, one that will constantly analyze movement to help you reach your goals!Save 20% on MTN Ops supplements. #14- Does it help to be in shape to hunt waterfowl?

Do you need to be in shape to hunt waterfowl? In shape/ fitness are certainly personal choices. My friend Brian Ellithorpe and I sit down to discuss the benefits of being in shape to hunt waterfowl. Some hunts are easy but many can be challenging to get to the remote areas the birds are in, with a lot of gear. We discuss situations where strength and conditioning are needed, trying to make better food choices ( a challenge for waterfowlers) Many mountain/ back country hunters train nearly all year round for one to two weeks in the mountain. Waterfowlers spend 3-5 months hunting. So, why shouldn't be in shape as well?www.flatlanderfit.comMTN Ops rstr.co/mtnops/20055Save 20% on MTN OPs supplements with code: FLATLANDER

    # 13 - Would you get healthy for your family?

When people are asked if they would die for their family, they answer yes without any hesitation. However, when then asked if they would get healthy for their family, there is hesitation... My friend Seth and I sit down and talk about why started lifting/exercising, what it has evolved to and ultimately what is our "why" now. Join us for a conversation between two friends and as stated in Proverbs 27:17 "iron sharpens Iron..." is what comes out of this conversation.www.flatlanderfit.comwww.mtnops.com#workout #strength #strengthtraining #health #mentalhealth #familyfirst #strengthtraining
