According to entrepreneur and author of the bestseller '4-Hour Work Week' Tim Ferriss, 'personal branding is about managing your name – even if you don't own a business – in a world of misinformation, disinformation and semi-permanent Google Records'. In this podcast episode, I'm walking you step by step through the world of personal branding – from its definition, benefits, real-life examples, challenges to a how-to-guide on how you can bring out the best in your own personal brand. 12. Sweetness of Doing: Benefits of Taking Breaks

Taking breaks tends to be a task that we put in second place as a luxury and as a 'nice-to-have' – one that we only allow ourselves to indulge in once we fulfilled seemingly more important and seemingly more urgent action items. But what if taking breaks is – in fact – the most important and the most urgent action item to prioritize above anything else? In this FunkenMarie podcast episode, I'll be introducing you to the concept of the 'sweetness of doing nothing', the benefits of taking breaks, a guide on how organize the (nearly) perfect break tailored to your personal needs and the risks if you don't start taking breaks more seriously moving forward – unless of course, you're a smarty-pants doing it already. In that case, more power to you! I'm curious to get to know every single one of you, lovely listeners, so I'm inviting you to share: What and who energizes you the most? How exactly do they achieve this? How do you integrate these positive elements into your breaks, e.g. in the workplace, to feel more energized afterwards? As a multicultural woman of color who works in the male-dominated tech industry, and who has Sensory Processing Sensitivity (SPS), feeling included used to be challenging for me. Hence, feeling included and helping others feel included as well, has been one of my greatest priorities and passions. In this podcast episode, I'm revealing my personal emotions, feelings and thoughts on inclusiveness and call-to-actions to make each other feel included, in both our personal and professional lives. 4. Oh Là Là: Diary of a French Girl

Welcome – or bienvenue rather – to a new FunkenMarie podcast episode. My father is French. He was born near Paris and raised in a lovely French region neighboring Germany which is called Lorraine . Today, my parents happily live together in a popular French-Celtic destination by the Atlantic Ocean named Brittany (in French: Bretagne). I, myself, lived and studied in South France, particularly in Provence, and previously lived with my parents in Lorraine. Due to this background, I partially identify as French (and partially as German and Filipino, please feel free to listen to the other episodes dedicated to these two other, beautiful cultures I was raised within). In this episode, I'm sharing my likes and dislikes about life in France and in case it would be of any help to you, my recommendation on the following: Would it be worth traveling or even moving to France? Or is the republic of croissants, macarons and (French President Emmanuel) Macron overrated? ;-) If you'd like to share some of your own French adventures with me, I'd be most excited to hear about them. In that case, I'm inviting you to contact me via the following form: https://www.goddess-of-technology.com/contact

A cultural melting pot, pride parades, carnival, media and entertainment, musicals, content creation, gaming and home to a World Heritage Site - these are the first associations which typically cross Germans’ mind when thinking of our country’s fourth most populous city: Cologne - or in German ‘Köln’ or in our regional dialect ‘Kölle’. Cologne is located in Germany’s most populous state North Rhine-Westphalia which is situated in the western part of our country, and neighbors the countries Belgium and the Netherlands. In this podcast episode of FunkenMarie, I’ll be introducing you to my homecity Cologne, my personal story with it and my recommendations as a local in case you’re planning on visiting.
