Sophie: The story of Moonface Clothing

In this episode I speak with Sophie. Sophie is the Founder of Ethical Clothing label Moonface Clothing. After doing her degree in fashion design at RMIT she graduated feeling disillusioned by the industry’s wasteful and unethical practices and knew that she did not want to participate in contributing to all the harm that was being done. After taking some time off she realised that people were not going to stop wearing clothes anytime soon and so she decided to start a brand that did things better and that could set a new standard for what ethical fashion could mean. Once she decided to start a family she outsourced production so that she could be home with her daughter while still making an income and found her passion lies not only in fashion and sustainability, but also in business and how we can do it better, working smarter, not harder, so that we can still be available and present for our lives and our children.Want to connect with Sophie? It’s not always easy. But she knows who she is, she knows what she wants for them and what she doesn’t.Motherhood is no easy task, especially when doing it from a deeply conscious space. But it’s well and truly worth it all.Want to connect with Caley? In this episode I speak with Leah.Leah is a Mother to her daughter Amara Rose, whose birth brought so much healing and a deep unravelling of all that she knew as she crossed over from maiden to mother.A planned free birth turned into a hospital birth, and with it so many lessons. A mind bending experience that will forever be a great teacher.Outside of Motherhood, Leah is a musician, front lady and songwriter of Eora based band Kyoshi. Writing, creating and performing has always been her greatest gift. Using her words and voice to express her experience of the world and touch others.Leah is also a sound healing facilitator, a huge journey in itself that has invited so much expansion in her self work through her study and practice.
