Lawrence is calm, smart and a positive presence in today’s world of turmoil and disbelief. I say that after a wonderful hour with him in which he shared an extremely reasonable and entertaining view of his very accomplished life thus far. In addition to a 50 year career as an extremely entertaining print journalist, he also worked on radio, published books, created a successful board game and is an Australia Day ambassador. Most importantly he holds solid family values and is totally appreciative of what life has brought him.

John Thorn is the penultimate musician and entertainer. Fortunate to find his passion for music at an early age he has forged an interesting and varied career far from the scientific, academic career initially planned. Married twice and in a solid current relationship, John has had a blessed life. Sara Rabin is beautiful, smart, high energy, fun and also a Rabbi’s wife. She was born and raised in America, one of ten children. Her father was a Rabbi and although it was not something she thought of for herself, she does a wonderful job of it. Far from what most people think of as a Rabbi’s wife, she and her husband Daniel have brought energy and innovation into Australian synagogues. They work as a team and truly motivate participation. They use common sense to create programs for the elderly as well as recently launching a great space where younger Jews looking to meet a partner can enjoy socializing. Sean found his passion early in life and he’s still going strong. He started going on television and film sets with his father in his early teens and is still very happily producing for the corporate world and non profits today. His career also gave him the opportunity to participate in some of Australia’s most iconic television shows, and also travel extensively and experience things and places very differently than the ‘normal’ tourist. Throughout all of this he has had a ‘normal’ and satisfying life. He has been married for over 30 years, a true testament to old fashioned values and has 2 daughters. Walter Bingham holds the Guiness Book of World Records Title for Oldest Print Journalist as well as Oldest Radio Broadcaster and he’s still going strong. He turns in a weekly one hour radio show each week, that he records and edits himself. He is also published in a number of international newspapers every week. He survived the Holocaust, was part of the Kindertransport to London and one of the very very few children to be reunited with his mother. He became a war hero honoured by both the English and the French governments. He was an ambulance driver on the battlefields and an intelligence agent in the London offices. He flew planes, jumped out of them and there is still so much more. He really has lead a full life and it is far from over.

Born in England, living in Australia, Hanna has experienced the full gamut of life. Spiritually, physically and emotionally, Hanna's life journey is easily relatable at many points and levels. Her openness and honesty, as she discusses religion, family and domestic abuse as part of her full and productive life make this an interview worth the time to listen.

Blessings come from the relationships and lives you have touched, and Julie has been truly blessed. She was born in Poland and is a relative and one of the first people I met when I came to Australia, aged 4. Her memories of growing up in Australia are so interesting, but her greatest gift is the hundreds of stories she facilitated and published into a series of books, a wonderful legacy for many future generations. Moshe Kahn, a Chabad Rabbi and Lily High On Life, are totally in sync. Born into a Chabad family of 8, he chose to continue the tradition and share how joyful life can be with many many others. He teaches, he lectures, but more importantly he lives as an example of what he believes, and his work is with youth and young adults, so how awesome is that ! Goldie Freedman grew up in Melbourne Australia. She is a Barrister and an accomplished wife and mother. Her family, like mine, come from Zelechow in Poland, and we recently discovered we are in fact related. Goldie has a strong spirit and an ingrained commitment to Zionism and Israel. She is the perfect compliment to her husband and daughter. She is an active member of the Melbourne community and proud of a life that is only half way through.

Raizel Fogel is genuinely self-actualized and fulfilled in the truest sense of the words. Warm, intelligent, and confident, she is the mother of 6 children with 46 grandchildren and already has great grandchildren. She lives within the ultra-orthodox Adass community and where others may judge her as insulated, she understands that true value and joy in life comes from relationships you foster and the environment you create. Life always has ups and downs but the sense of love and belonging she gets from her family and extended relationships, the businesses she runs, and the jobs she has experienced, make up a life still evolving with additional projects and a life lived to the full. Sarah is the epitome of a full focus on Joy, Kindness and energy. She is a positive force who has raised her children and is now following her dreams and passions from childhood. I love the way she has never regretted decisions she has made or choices she has made about priorities in her life. Being High on Life is all about loving the moment you are living in right now and the way Sarah describes vignettes of her life she is happy with the priorities she chooses and embraces the results they bring. Sergio Brodsky is in the prime of his life with a richness of experiences and success behind him and a totally open and exciting future with his eyes wide open. Hayley Southwick is totally her own woman. Intelligent, independent, takes multi tasking to new levels, while at the same time showing care, compassion and attention to detail in everything she does. Taibe Ash is a force to be reckoned with. Apparently she always has been as one of 10 children, she stands out in the world, not just her family. Under 30 and already a successful business woman, Taibe has also just completed a nursing degree. I love that she takes responsibility for her life and is tuned into what makes her really happy. The decisions she has made in her life have come from am inner guidance rather than discontent, and she is obviously passionate about what she does and who she is. The biggest thing that stood out for me, is that she takes responsibility for her own life, and makes things happen. Married earlier this year, she seems to have found a truly 'b'shert' (divinely guided) match. Although very different in many ways, you can sense a joy and connection in their growing relationship that is definitely based on mutual love and respect. Issi Dye is an entertainer, singer, performer, and in his 70s is busier than most people half his age. He performs in over 200 shows a year ! It is inspiring to hear his passion about what he does, and how and why he keeps up with not only performing around the world, but traveling and appreciating the life he has and is now living. The son of Holocaust survivors, early success as a recognised television celebrity and now a family man with 3 kids, there is a lot to be learned from this very high energy man who seems to have always been High On Life himself, finding self motivation throughout his life.

Dita Gould is a positive powerhouse and still active and filling her days with not only her own pleasures, but life-long philanthropic work and family. A child Holocaust survivor, Dita's ability to focus on what had to be done rather than worry about what might happen, helped her to survive and is still a driving force in her life today. At 87 she has the stamina and energy to keep going till she hits 120 and beyond, with enough friends and interests to make that long life constantly interesting.

David Traub is a true man of the world. His relationships, work and reach spread to all corners of the globe. He is also one of the sweetest, most real people I know. He has been instrumental in creating countless technology companies, as well as Producer credits in major film projects, as well as creating large scale music collaborations globally. He is a trusted friend to world leaders and childhood friends and has lead a very positive life regardless of circumstances. Athol Morris has been married for 45 years to the same woman. He is one of the busiest retired people I have met and has a great outlook on life. He loves the chiropractic work he did for so many years, and now goes out to the homeless community once a week and treats them, to keep his hand it. He has 3 kids and has become a grandfather. He also practices martial arts and fixes old cars. He goes on treks into the wilderness and lives life to the fullest.

Marilyn is funny and smart and has never been afraid to go after what she wanted. She plays the saxophone, sings, writes and performs. Charles Kovess is one of those people you love to be around. He draws you in no matter what the topic and he is an expert on quite a few. He has always done things with purpose. An entrepreneur from childhood, his successes drive him to share his passion with others and educate to create a better world. He started his career as a lawyer, and is now a professional speaker, author and executive coach. Not content with excelling in an industry, he has taken on leadership positions in those industries. Charles is a truly inspiring man.

Ben Morley is a passionate force to be reckoned with. Kate Engler has created a successful work and home life. She moved to Melbourne Australia when she married, has 2 grown children, one who has just given her a grandchild and lives in Israel. She volunteers as various non profits around the city, both orthodox and secular. The thing that is not obvious about Minna is that she is a double amputee both her legs needed to be amputated, but she does not let it define her or get in the way or anything and everything she does. I loved this interview and the life insights she shares that are the epitome of living High On Life.

Simon Starr is a musician, husband and father of 3. Since he started his music career has always been able to live his passion and support his lifestyle and later his family through his music. He has made bold decisions, throughout his life, both before and after being married. He trusts his feelings and instincts and has a marriage orchestrated through long past relatives on both sides.
