Lindsey  currently serves as an Animal Science Instructor and the Livestock Judging Coach at Northeastern Junior College. Her and her husband, Clay, live in Sterling, CO and are involved with his family’s 200 head cattle operation in Stoneham, CO. She is originally from Bend, Oregon where she grew up showing hogs and developing a strong passion for agriculture. Lindsey went to Linn-Benton Community College where she was on a competitive judging team and was named an All-American Junior College Livestock Judge. She then went on to judge at Colorado State University and graduated with her degree in Animal Sciences the spring of 2018.     Episode 21: Age is Just a Number

    Joining Abby on the podcast today is Tyler Schuster. Tyler’s roots run deep in agriculture growing up in Brackettville, Texas. She grew up barrel racing, roping, playing sports, and being involved in 4-H and FFA. My favorite mornings growing up were spent horseback at sunrise with a Dr Pepper in hand. Tyler graduated from Tarleton State University in May of 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Services and Development. While she was at Tarleton, she was elected Student Body President and was involved in 9 different student organizations, and helped the school transition to a Division I university. Following her time at Tarleton, she attended Texas A&M University to pursue a Masters of Public Service and Administration. After graduation in May of 2022, I made my way to Fort Worth. She currently works in beef education and focuses on working with the next generation of cattle raisers.     Episode 20: Christ at the Center

    Curtis grew up on a farm thirteen miles from Tulia, Texas, a small town located in the Texas panhandle. He attended McMurry University for one year, followed by West Texas A&M the following year. He joined the U.S. Army where he began as a 91A, then 91B, (medic & field medic), and later became a 91J and was certified in burn care. His highest award is the Meritorious Service Medal. After his service in the Army, Curtis attended West Texas A&M University and graduated with a biology degree. He attended Duke Divinity School, and has served as a pastor in Happy and Lubbock, Texas, and planted Harvest Connexion Church 13 years ago, in Amarillo, Texas. Curtis and his wife Allison have four children. He enjoys anything that involves his family. They love to camp, fish, hunt, and simply hang out with one another.     Episode 18: Hard Work and Good Jokes

    Dr. Kelly Jones is no stranger to hard work and a good joke. Dr. Jones grew up in Clayton, New Mexico and received his bachelor’s degree in animal science from New Mexico State University where he was selected as the Outstanding Student in Agriculture. He went on to Texas Tech where he got his master’s in ag education, and shortly after began teaching at Goddard High School in Roswell, NM. After 7 years teaching high school again, he made the move to Canyon to pursue his doctoral degree. He has spent several years working in industry and came on full time to WTAMU in the Fall of 2023.     Cody currently resides in Hereford Texas where he and his wife Lindsay and two dogs Gus and Lucy own and operate Chandler Insurance Agency.  He graduated from Vernon High School and was thoroughly involved with 4-H, FFA, and sports.  Cody attended Southeastern Oklahoma in Durant, OK where he played football for a couple years before transferring to WT to pursue a degree in Ag Education. When he graduated from WT in 2007 he was recruited by Farmers Insurance to become an agency owner and now owns agencies in Hereford and Amarillo.  Cody has also been involved in the community as Hereford Lions Club president, Deaf Smith County Chamber of Commerce, CASA, Hereford Economic Development, WT Ag Development, Tri State Fair and Rodeo, Spicer Gripp, Hereford Junior Livestock Show Association, and Texas Lions Governors.
