MEEK: Quite Strength
What comes to mind when you hear the word meek?Quiet? Timid? Passive? Weak? Biblical meekness is something very different. In this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore Psalm 37:11:"But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity."Meekness isn’t the absence of strength. It’s strength under control. It’s having a voice without using it as a weapon. It’s being capable of fighting back but having the wisdom to know when not to. It’s confidence without arrogance, boundaries without bitterness, and truth spoken with grace. And the context of Psalm 37 makes this even more powerful. David is talking about how we respond when other people are doing wrong. Instead of allowing anger, frustration, or the actions of others to control us, we're told to trust God, do good, be still, and wait patiently for Him.That can be difficult - especially when we already have the perfect comeback prepared! But sometimes the strongest thing we can do is refuse to let someone else's behavior determine ours. We'll also talk about an important distinction: meekness does not mean accepting mistreatment or having no boundaries. You can be meek and still be firm. You can forgive and still establish boundaries. You can walk away from something unhealthy without carrying hatred with you.Jesus demonstrated this kind of strength perfectly. He knew when to speak, when to confront, when to establish boundaries, and when to remain silent. So perhaps the question isn't simply, “Am I strong?”It's:“Who is controlling my strength?”My anger? My pride? My emotions? My need to be right?Or God?Join us as we discover why meek doesn't mean weak - and why sometimes the greatest strength is trusting God enough to know that not every battle requires your fight. UNDERSTANDING: More Than Just Knowing
What does it really mean to have understanding? In this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore Proverbs 4:7 and its powerful instruction:"Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding."There's a difference between knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. Knowledge helps us know the facts. Understanding helps us see what those facts mean. And wisdom helps us know what to do with what we've learned. That distinction can change the way we approach not only our relationship with God, but our relationships with one another. How often do we hear someone's words without really trying to understand their heart? How often are we preparing our response while they're still talking? Or make assumptions based on someone's reaction without stopping to consider what might be happening beneath the surface?Understanding doesn't mean agreeing with everything or excusing behavior that is wrong. It means being willing to listen, seek perspective, and recognize that there may be more to the story than what we can immediately see. We'll also talk about those seasons when we don't understand God - when prayers aren't answered the way we hoped, circumstances don't make sense, or we're left wondering why God has allowed a particular season.Sometimes God gives us answers.Other times, He gives us enough wisdom to trust Him without having all the answers.Maybe one of the most powerful prayers we can pray is simply:“Lord, give me understanding. Help me see what I'm missing.”Because sometimes what we need most isn't another opinion, another answer, or more information. We need deeper understanding.Read our Wednesday Weekly Word for more on the topic of UNDERSTANDING https://www.poweroftwelve.org/so/a5Q0-DtDJ?languageTag=enJoin Debra and Dena every week for our Power of Twelve, Wednesday Weekly Word, your 12-minute mid-week infusion of faith and encouragement. We meet you where you are at in your busy lives, just 12-minutes a week, listen while getting ready for the day, on your car commute to work, in the school carpool line, while working out or any time during the day.Since our beginnings, we’ve been driven by the same ideas we initially founded our Non-Profit Organization upon: Support and encouragement in the word of God in a simple way, building the lives of generations together. GLORIFIED: Beauty from the Ashes
What does it really mean for God to be glorified through our lives? In this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore the word Glorified through the beautiful promise found in Isaiah 61:3 - a passage that speaks of beauty for ashes, joy for mourning, praise instead of heaviness, and becoming trees of righteousness planted by the Lord. And then we're told why: "That He may be glorified."To glorify God doesn't mean we make God greater - He is already great. It means that through our lives, His goodness, faithfulness, power, and character become visible to others. In this episode, we talk about those seasons we never would have chosen - the disappointments, losses, mistakes, unanswered questions, and circumstances that can leave us wondering how anything beautiful could possibly come from them. But ashes don't have to be the end of the story. We'll also look at Isaiah's image of "trees of righteousness." A strong tree doesn't grow overnight. It endures wind, storms, changing seasons, and times when everything above the surface looks bare. Yet underneath, its roots are growing deeper. The same can be true of us.God may be doing some of His deepest work during the seasons when it appears that nothing is happening at all.Maybe instead of only asking, "God, why did I have to go through this?" we can begin asking, "God, how can You use this?"Because sometimes the place you thought was ruined becomes the very place where someone else sees God most clearly. If you're carrying some ashes today, this episode is a reminder that God may still be writing the story. He can bring beauty from ashes, joy from mourning, praise from heaviness—and through it all, He can be glorified.Read our Wednesday Weekly Word for more on the topic of GLORIFIED https://poweroftwelve.org/so/c7Q0SCB06?languageTag=en&cid=65ad280c-9d5e-486e-9db0-a0e3e644af08Join Debra and Dena every week for our Power of Twelve, Wednesday Weekly Word, your 12-minute mid-week infusion of faith and encouragement. PATH: One Step at a Time
You Don't Have to See the Whole RoadHave you ever wished God would just show you the entire plan?Where you're going. How you're going to get there. How long it's going to take. And maybe even give you a little warning about the difficult parts along the way?In this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we're exploring the word Path through Psalm 119:105:"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."There's something beautiful about the imagery in this verse. A lamp doesn't necessarily illuminate miles of road ahead - it gives you enough light to see where you're stepping. And sometimes that's exactly how God leads us.One step at a time. We'll talk about what it means to allow God's Word to guide our decisions, relationships, priorities, and direction - especially when the path ahead isn't clear. We'll also look at the many voices competing to guide us: culture, social media, other people's opinions, and even our own emotions. How do we know which direction to take? We return to the light of God's truth. If you're standing at a crossroads, waiting for an answer, facing an uncertain future, or wondering where God is leading you, this episode is for you.Maybe you don't need God to reveal the entire journey today. Maybe your prayer simply needs to be:"Lord, show me my next step."Because when you know the One who is leading you, you don't have to see the whole road to trust the path ahead. GIVE: A Heart of Gratitude
In this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore the word Give through the beautiful reminder found in Psalm 75:1:"We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks! For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near."Life has a way of pulling our attention toward what's missing, what's difficult, or what's next. But the psalmist invites us to pause and do something that changes everything - give thanks.Together, we'll talk about how gratitude is more than simply saying "thank you." It's a posture of the heart that recognizes God's faithfulness in every season. Whether it's the beauty of creation, the love of family and friends, answered prayers, or simply the gift of another day, every blessing points us back to the One who gives all good things. We'll also share a few laughs about how easy it is to overlook the blessings already in front of us while searching for something more. Often, the very things we've been praying for become the things we forget to appreciate. If you've been feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, or simply too busy to notice God's goodness, this episode is an invitation to slow down, lift your eyes, and remember His faithfulness.Because when we give thanks, our hearts begin to see what they've been missing all along.Gratitude doesn't change God—it changes us.Read our Wednesday Weekly Word for more on the topic of GIVE https://poweroftwelve.org/so/f3P-JRTQT?languageTag=en&cid=65ad280c-9d5e-486e-9db0-a0e3e644af08Join Debra and Dena every week for our Power of Twelve, Wednesday Weekly Word, your 12-minute mid-week infusion of faith and encouragement. CREATED: Made on Purpose
Created — Made on PurposeIn this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore the word Created through the powerful worship found in Revelation 4:11:"You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created."In a world that often tells us to create our own identity, define our own purpose, and find our own truth, Scripture points us back to the One who created us. Our value doesn't come from what we accomplish, how successful we become, or what others think of us. Our worth begins with our Creator.Together, we'll talk about what it means to be intentionally designed by God, why every life has purpose, and how discovering the One who created us helps us understand who we are. We'll even share a few laughs about trying to assemble furniture without the instructions—and how life can feel just as confusing when we ignore the One who designed us.Whether you've ever questioned your purpose, struggled with comparison, or simply wondered why you're here, this episode is a reminder that you are not random, forgotten, or overlooked. You were created with intention. You were created with purpose. And you were created to know the One who made you.Because the Creator of the universe didn't just create the stars, the oceans, and the mountains…He created you.Read our Wednesday Weekly Word for more on the topic of CREATEDJoin Debra and Dena every week for our Power of Twelve, Wednesday Weekly Word, your 12-minute mid-week infusion of faith and encouragement. VICTORIOUS - When Victory Looks Different
Victorious - When Victory Looks DifferentIn this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore the word Victorious through the powerful prophecy found in Zechariah 9:9:"Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey..."When we think of victory, we often picture strength, celebration, trophies, and obvious success. But Scripture gives us a very different picture of our victorious King. Jesus entered Jerusalem not on a powerful war horse, but humbly, riding on a donkey.Victorious and lowly. Powerful and humble. King and servant.Together, we discuss how God's victories don't always look the way we expect. Sometimes victory isn't getting exactly what we prayed for or avoiding every difficult season. Sometimes victory is finding peace in the middle of the battle, choosing forgiveness over bitterness, getting back up after disappointment, or simply remaining faithful when life is hard. The cross itself looked like defeat- but it became the place of the greatest victory of all.If you're in the middle of a battle and don't feel very victorious right now, this episode is a reminder that your current circumstances don't determine the final outcome. Jesus was already the victorious King even as He rode toward the hardest part of His earthly journey.Victory doesn't always arrive with a trophy. Sometimes it comes quietly, humbly, and completely differently than we expected. But with Jesus, the victory is already won.Read our Wednesday Weekly Word for more on the topic of VICTORIOUS https://poweroftwelve.org/so/a3Pzc9Juo?languageTag=en&cid=65ad280c-9d5e-486e-9db0-a0e3e644af08Join Debra and Dena every week for our Power of Twelve, Wednesday Weekly Word, your 12-minute mid-week infusion of faith and encouragement. HUMILITY: Strength Under Control
Humility - Strength Under ControlIn this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore the word Humility through the wisdom of Philippians 2:3:"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves."Humility is often misunderstood. It isn't thinking less of yourself or believing you have little value - it is choosing to place God first and valuing others with the same love and grace that Christ has shown us. It's a quiet strength that doesn't demand recognition but instead seeks to serve.Together, we'll discuss the difference between confidence and pride, why humility is one of the greatest marks of spiritual maturity, and how Jesus modeled the ultimate example of servant leadership. Along the way, we'll share a few laughs about those moments when life reminds us, we don't always have all the answers - and why that's actually a good thing. If you've ever struggled with pride, comparison, always needing to be right, or simply wanting to grow more into the likeness of Christ, this episode offers practical encouragement for everyday life.Because the strongest people aren't always the loudest…They're often the ones humble enough to let God receive the glory.Read our Wednesday Weekly Word for more on the topic of HUMILITY https://www.poweroftwelve.org/so/4dPz4O61C?languageTag=enJoin Debra and Dena every week for our Power of Twelve, Wednesday Weekly Word, your 12-minute mid-week infusion of faith and encouragement. MESSAGE - What are you sending?
Message - The One That Never ChangesIn this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore the word Message through the timeless truth found in 1 John 3:11:"For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another."John reminds us that God's message has never changed. From the teachings of Jesus to the early church, and still today, His call remains the same - to love one another. In a world filled with changing opinions, constant noise, and endless messages competing for our attention, God's message continues to stand firm.Together, we'll unpack what John meant by "the message you heard from the beginning," why love is the foundation of the Christian life, and how our words, attitudes, and actions communicate a message every single day. We'll even share a lighthearted reminder that while our text messages sometimes get misunderstood, God's message has always been perfectly clear.Whether you're encouraging a friend, serving your family, or simply trying to reflect Christ in your everyday life, remember this:The greatest message you'll ever send may not be written in a text or spoken in a sermon…It may be seen in the way you love others.Read our Wednesday Weekly Word for more on the topic of MESSAGE https://poweroftwelve.org/so/c4PyULYkd?languageTag=en&cid=65ad280c-9d5e-486e-9db0-a0e3e644af08Join Debra and Dena every week for our Power of Twelve, Wednesday Weekly Word, your 12-minute mid-week infusion of faith and encouragement. PREACH: The Good News
Preach - Living the Good NewsIn this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore the word Preach through the words of Jesus in Mark 16:15:"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation."When we hear the word preach, many of us picture a pastor standing behind a pulpit. But Jesus' invitation is much bigger than that. Every believer has the opportunity to share the hope of the Gospel - not only through what we say, but through the way we live.Together, we discuss how our words, actions, kindness, forgiveness, and love can become the greatest sermon we ever preach. We also share a few laughs about growing up with a mom who never missed an opportunity to turn life's everyday moments into lessons of faith and wisdom. Looking back, those conversations became some of the greatest gifts and helped shape a foundation that continues today.Whether you're encouraging a friend, raising a family, serving your community, or simply living out your faith each day, God can use your life to point others to Him.Because the Gospel isn't only something we speak...It's something we live.Read our Wednesday Weekly Word for more on the topic of PREACH https://poweroftwelve.org/so/70PxsYPDX?languageTag=en&cid=65ad280c-9d5e-486e-9db0-a0e3e644af08Join Debra and Dena every week for our Power of Twelve, Wednesday Weekly Word, your 12-minute mid-week infusion of faith and encouragement. FULFILLED: Right on Time
Fulfilled — Right on TimeIn this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore the word Fulfilled through the powerful declaration found in Luke 4:21:"Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing."For generations, God's people waited for the promises spoken through the prophets to come to pass. Then one day, Jesus stood and announced that the waiting was over—the promise had arrived.Sometimes we find ourselves waiting too. Waiting for prayers to be answered, doors to open, healing to come, or God's plan to unfold. In those moments, it's easy to wonder if God has forgotten. But Scripture reminds us that God's promises are never forgotten and His timing is never late.Join us as we discuss what it means to trust God's timing, remain faithful in seasons of waiting, and find confidence in knowing that what God promises, He fulfills.Because a delayed promise is not a forgotten promise—and when God's timing arrives, His purpose is fulfilled.Read our Wednesday Weekly Word for more on the topic of FULFILLED https://poweroftwelve.org/so/62PxIlLA8?languageTag=en&cid=65ad280c-9d5e-486e-9db0-a0e3e644af08Join Debra and Dena every week for our Power of Twelve, Wednesday Weekly Word, your 12-minute mid-week infusion of faith and encouragement. STAND: In Your Faith
Stand - In Your FaithIn this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore the word Stand through the powerful encouragement found in 1 Corinthians 16:13:"Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong."Life often brings challenges that test our faith, patience, and perseverance. During these seasons, it can be tempting to quit, retreat, or lose hope. Yet Scripture reminds us that sometimes the greatest act of courage is simply standing firm.Together we'll discuss what it means to remain rooted in faith when circumstances feel uncertain, how courage grows through adversity, and why strength is often found in staying steadfast rather than striving harder. If you're walking through a difficult season, facing unanswered questions, or simply needing encouragement to keep going, this episode is a reminder that God is faithful, present, and working even when you cannot yet see the outcome.Stand firm. COMPLETE: Trust the Process
Complete - Trusting the ProcessIn this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore the word Complete through the lens of James 1:4 (NET)"And let endurance have its perfect effect, so that you will be perfect and complete, not deficient in anything."We all want the finished product - the breakthrough, the healing, the answer, the blessing. But God is often more concerned with the process than the timeline.James reminds us that endurance isn't just something we survive; it's something God uses to shape us. The challenges we face, the waiting seasons we endure, and the obstacles we overcome are all part of His work in making us mature, whole, and complete. In this episode, we'll discuss why growth takes time, why perseverance matters, and how God often does His deepest work in the middle of life's unfinished chapters. We'll also explore the difference between being perfect and being complete, and why God's goal is not flawlessness, but wholeness. If you've ever felt stuck, unfinished, or frustrated by the pace of your journey, this episode is a reminder that God is still working. The process has a purpose, and what He starts, He is faithful to complete.Because sometimes the greatest growth happens before the finish line.Read our Wednesday Weekly Word for more on the topic of COMPLETEJoin Debra and Dena every week for our Power of Twelve, Wednesday Weekly Word, your 12-minute mid-week infusion of faith and encouragement. CONTENT: The Secret of Peace
In this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore the powerful truth behind Philippians 4:11 and what it truly means to live a life of contentment. In a world constantly telling us to chase more, compare more, and look elsewhere for fulfillment, we unpack how contentment goes far beyond material possessions. It also touches our relationships, marriages, seasons of life, and the temptation to believe the grass is greener somewhere else.Together, we discuss:the danger of comparison and wandering eyeswhy healthy relationships require watering and tendinghow Paul learned “the secret” of contentmentand why even King Solomon, who had everything, still called much of life “meaningless” apart from GodThis episode is honest, relatable, encouraging, and sprinkled with a little humor as we navigate the tension between gratitude, desire, and true fulfillment.Because sometimes peace isn’t found in finding something better. It’s found in appreciating, nurturing, and trusting what God has already placed in your hands.Read our Wednesday Weekly Word for more on the topic of CONTENTJoin Debra and Dena every week for our Power of Twelve, Wednesday Weekly Word, your 12-minute mid-week infusion of faith and encouragement. POSSIBLE: Belief Changes Everything
Possible is a word we believe in—until life asks us to trust it.In Mark 9:23, Jesus reminds us that possibility is not about perfect faith, but placed faith. Fight for the ETERNAL
In a world that constantly pulls us toward what is immediate, visible, and temporary, Scripture calls us to something greater—the eternal. In this episode, we center on 1 Timothy 6:12, where Paul urges us to fight the good fight of faith and take hold of the eternal life to which we were called. But this verse doesn’t stand alone. It’s the heartbeat of the entire chapter.Together, we explore how 1 Timothy 6 contrasts temporary gain with lasting purpose, warns us about misplaced pursuits, and invites us to live with an eternal lens—one that shapes how we handle money, contentment, faith, and generosity. This message is a reminder that faith is not passive. It is a daily, intentional fight to choose what lasts over what fades, to live anchored in eternity while walking faithfully in the present. If you’ve ever felt the tension between the world’s demands and God’s calling, this episode will help you refocus, realign, and take hold of the life that is truly life.Read our Wednesday Weekly Word for more on the topic of Eternal https://www.poweroftwelve.org/so/a1Pm5SIbX?languageTag=enJoin Debra and Dena every week for our Power of Twelve, Wednesday Weekly Word, your 12-minute mid-week infusion of faith and encouragement. If life has felt a little loud lately — schedules stressed, emotions high, and peace in short supply — you’re not alone. The kind of calm that Jesus spoke over wind and waves with just three words: “Peace, be still.”Because the storm doesn’t get the final word — He does. Come breathe, laugh, and be reminded that Heaven’s calm is still available… even on a Tuesday.Mark 4:39 "Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Peace, be still!" Mighty: Strength You Can Trust
Psalms 24:8 "Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle."When we hear the word mighty, we usually think of strength, power, and winning battles. But God’s might isn’t like ours.Jesus shows His might not just in force, but in authority. He speaks—and storms stop.He commands—and demons leave. He touches—and sickness flees. What’s incredible is that Jesus’ might doesn’t always look loud.Anyone can display power when they’re winning. Only Jesus shows true might by laying down His life… and then taking it back up again three days later. That’s not weakness. That’s undefeated strength.Read our Wednesday Weekly Word for more on the topic of Mighty https://poweroftwelve.org/so/cdPkUJbq_?languageTag=en&cid=65ad280c-9d5e-486e-9db0-a0e3e644af08Join Debra and Dena every week for our Power of Twelve, Wednesday Weekly Word, your 12-minute mid-week infusion of faith and encouragement. Majesty: Beholding the Greatness of God
Welcome back to the podcast. Today, we’re slowing down to sit with a powerful word—majesty. In 1 Chronicles 29:11, King David prays these words: “Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and on earth is Yours.”This is not a rushed prayer. It’s not a desperate cry. It’s a moment of holy recognition.David stands before God fully aware of who God is—and who he is not. He acknowledges that all greatness, all power, all glory, and all majesty belong to the Lord alone. Nothing is borrowed. Nothing is temporary. Nothing is shared.Today, we’ll explore what it truly means to live in light of God’s majesty—and how recognizing His greatness reshapes our worship, our surrender, and our daily lives.Read our Wednesday Weekly Word for more on the topic of MAJESTYJoin Debra and Dena every week for our Power of Twelve, Wednesday Weekly Word, your 12-minute mid-week infusion of faith and encouragement. The Wonder of His Workmanship - Psalm 139:14
Today’s word is WORKS—not the kind we strive to earn approval, but the beautiful work of God already at work within us.Psalm 139:14 reminds us, “I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”Before we talk about what we do, we pause to remember whose work we are. God’s works are not rushed, accidental, or unfinished—and that includes you. Today, we’ll reflect on how recognizing God’s workmanship in our lives reshapes how we live, love, and serve from a place of gratitude rather than striving.Read our Wednesday Weekly Word for more on the topic of WORKS https://www.poweroftwelve.org/so/3aPiiw1Gf?languageTag=enJoin Debra and Dena every week for our Power of Twelve, Wednesday Weekly Word, your 12-minute mid-week infusion of faith and encouragement. GOOD soil and God’s gentle growth. Luke 8:15
We’re talking about GOOD soil, GOOD hearts, and a GOOD God who grows what we surrender. This week’s episode is all about cultivating a heart God can work with. You don’t want to miss it.A GOOD heart is not perfect, not flawless, not sinless, not always strong. A GOOD heart is simply soft toward God. It’s the heart that says: “Lord, I want to grow. Make me willing.”And God loves working with a willing heart far more than a flawless one.Luke 8:15 "But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience."Read our Wednesday Weekly Word for more on the topic of GOOD https://poweroftwelve.org/so/7dPhb7PM6?languageTag=en&cid=65ad280c-9d5e-486e-9db0-a0e3e644af08Join Debra and Dena every week for our Power of Twelve, Wednesday Weekly Word, your 12-minute mid-week infusion of faith and encouragement. EXPECT, living a life of expectations as you walk in your faith. SPECIAL GUEST ALERT! Matthew 24:44
Expectation is a powerful thing. It shapes how we see the world, how we prepare for what’s ahead, and how we trust in what’s unseen. The Bible reminds us that expectation isn’t just about hoping for something good—it’s about being ready for what’s coming. In Matthew 24:44, Jesus says:“So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”This verse calls us to live in a state of holy expectation—not fear, but readiness. Expectation in the Kingdom isn’t passive; it’s active. It means living alert, prayerful, and faithful, trusting that even when we don’t know when, we can know who is coming.Join us today along with our unexpected special guest, and as you listen today, reflect on this question: What does it mean for you to expect? To expect God’s promises, Because in the waiting, in the wondering, and in the watching—our faith is refined.Read our Wednesday Weekly Word for more on the topic of EXPECTJoin Debra and Dena every week for our Power of Twelve, Wednesday Weekly Word, your 12-minute mid-week infusion of faith and encouragement. PURE - God's pure words and striving for a pure hear in our lives. Proverbs 30:5
Welcome to the Power of Twelve podcast, where we seek truth, dive into God’s Word, and walk the path of faith with clarity and conviction. In today’s episode, we’re exploring what it means for God’s Word to be PURE — untouched, unchanging, and perfectly trustworthy. We’ll also be looking inward, asking the hard but necessary question: Do we have a PURE heart before the Lord? The Bible tells us in Proverbs 30:5, "Every word of God is PURE; He is a shield to those who put their trust in him." And in Matthew 5:8, Jesus says, "Blessed are the PURE in heart, for they shall see God."So today, let’s slow down, tune in, and ask God to refine both our understanding and our hearts — because a PURE heart, grounded in the pure Word of God, leads us into deeper fellowship with Him.Read our Wednesday Weekly Word for more on the topic of PURE https://poweroftwelve.org/so/cdPeDLf5q?languageTag=enJoin Debra and Dena every week for our Power of Twelve, Wednesday Weekly Word, your 12-minute mid-week infusion of faith and encouragement. ACCEPTABLE - What does acceptance in God's kingdom mean to you? 1 Peter 2:5
In a world where everyone seeks ACCEPTANCE, what does it really mean to be ACCEPTABLE—not just to people, but to God?We work hard to be ACCEPTED at work, in relationships, online… but are we giving God what’s ACCEPTABLE to Him? The Bible uses the word ACCEPTABLE not just as approval—but as alignment. What does it look like when our hearts, worship, and lives align with His will?”In this week's episode we talk about the word ACCEPTABLE and how it pertains to our daily walk with God and our faith.1 Peter 2:5 "you also, like the living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices ACCEPTABLE to God through Jesus Christ."Read our Wednesday Weekly Word for more on the topic of ACCEPTABLE https://poweroftwelve.org/so/13Pdg1aZW?languageTag=enJoin Debra and Dena every week for our Power of Twelve, Wednesday Weekly Word, your 12-minute mid-week infusion of faith and encouragement. REFINE - God is always refining us as his people - Zechariah 13:9
Going through a REFINING phase in our lives is not always the easiest thing to endure, but the outcome is a perfect example of what God does for his people. Through this REFINING process, believers are prepared to fulfill Gods purpose and reflect his image more fully in their lives. God uses our trials and challenges to transform his people, just like gold goes through a purification process, so are we. Our spiritual REFINING involves removing those impurities from our hearts. God uses trials and challenges to purify his people's hearts.Ask yourself, are you praying away what god is wanting to use to REFINE you?In this week's episode we talk about the word REFINE and how it pertains to our daily walk with God and our faith.Zechariah 13:9 "This third I will put into the fire; I will REFINE them like silver and test them like gold.
