Prayers to the Young Girl

Send a text“Lord help me to feed my Spirit, more than my flesh” This is the prayer that I’ve been praying for years when the Holy Spirit showed me why I struggled so much with sin; lust, perversion, insecurity, anger, etc. I realized one day when I was crying; because I felt helpless and that I couldn’t escape the torment of my own mind, that it had a lot to do with what is was depositing inside me. Often times we don’t realized how much of an impact the things we immerse ourselves into, such as television, social media, and music, has an impact on the way we view ourselves and others, our daily thinking, and even our very hearts. From someone who struggled with depression and self assurance, I spent a lot of my days listening to music that spoke to my loneliness and resulted in a desperation for fleshly comfort ——which led to subjecting myself to people and situations that weren’t good for me. Be encouraged that there truly is power in our ability to be aware of the things that keep us bound from receiving truth as well as the love of God. Ask yourself, “what am I downloading into my mind & Spirit? Does it push me towards Christ? Or does drift me afar? I pray this episode blesses you as much as it did me while recording! I love you all, but God loves you best!

Oh how wonderful you are to us all! In this episode I just wanted to remind us all of the faithfulness of our Father, even when it seems like He’s not near, oh He is everywhere! With many things surrounding my life lately, I was reminded of how God has always been by my side. Not getting distracted by life, and focus on the power of God that dwells in us, is what pushes our faith to trust in our Savior beyond our fleshly ability. I cannot stress enough how important prayer is, and how it keeps us bonded to that strength and power that the Holy Spirit blesses us with everyday. It’s our life source! Stay connected! 

Send a textHey sis! Honestly, I know it’s been a while since you’ve heard my voice… I’ve just been soaking up some much needed love from our Daddy God.The times we are living in are not always kind, but as I continue on my pursuit to know and understand the Father’s love, I come to be reminded constantly that it’s persistent and full of kindness. That the one thing that will NEVER fail is His everlasting love. I just wanted to share this love with you because I know all too well how life can get; as a mom, as a daughter, a sister, a friend, and even as a child of faith; It’s not always easy but it is always possible when we lean on Christ. We can get so busy as women that we forget to pour into ourselves and I mean spiritually.. because one thing we can do almost perfectly is put on a good face/show even when we’re going crazy on the inside. But if our spirit has lost hope what really does it all matter? You are God’s daughter before anything else.. let him pour into you the way you need & deserve. I will never get tired of being used to remind myself and you that God sees you, hears you, and LOVES you! Don’t get weary sis, you’re not alone! 

Send a textThe beauty of relationship with Christ is that He sees us beyond how we see ourselves. He sees the beauty of the heart—-the human He created in His image. Psalms 139:14;“Thank you for making me so beautifully complex (wonderful and beautifully-KJV)! Your workmanship is marvelous—-how well I know it.”Sis, it took me until I got to 28 years old unfortunately to understand the fullness of that scripture & to be confident in it; to not measure myself based on man’s opinion and idea of what beauty is but recognize that I AM beauty, simply because God made me and He said I am! I was caught up in fairytale & fantasy living and when real life happened (sex, perversion, emotional & physical trauma) I started confusing what real love was meant to be and worse, I lost the lessons I learned the God and my mom of what self worth looked like. This episode is about redefining our beauty, what loving self looks like and taking that power as a woman to build ourselves in the full image of Christ. To be perfect, as He is.. not based on what’s on the outside but the spirit of God that is inside of us. That Spirit that teaches us how to love ourselves & one another.  That doesn’t confuse lust of self, items, and/or people for what love from Christ gives… “Love gives, Lust takes!”  

Send a textThis episode here may ruffle some feathers & be a tad uncomfortable, but if I’ve learned nothing else in my 29 years of life; it’s that change, growth, HEALING & success is groomed from being uncomfortable and it’s not always convenient. In this new episode I start by asking the question; “If you could go back to that little girl (you), what would you tell her? Based on your life today; What advice would you give that young you?” As a young woman I have made many mistakes by believing in the persuasion of a lustful world that presents itself like it loves you, but truthfully just wants to take from you. My life has shown me how so easily we degrade ourselves because we have honestly confused what love is, for what lust offers. LUST TAKES!! It takes away our dignity, our worth, our power, our stability & our respect for ourselves as well as for each other. As women, my prayer is that we make ourselves uncomfortable enough to change how we present ourselves to the world——like we belong to God! Let’s put away the stereotypes of what our bodies should look like or how much skin we ought to show & just to prove how attractive we are? —-well in society’s eyes anyway (which this world should NEVER be the judge). I pray we follow after the word of God and clothe ourselves with strength & dignity. That we will remember how sacred it is to be royalty. Romans 12:2 “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”‭‭Like I said, this one may be a harsh truth to see, but as our big brother Jesus Christ once said; “the truth shall set you free!”

Truly the greatest love, peace, and comfort exists only in His presence. Finding her starts with finding Christ and being intentional about your faith. In this episode I encourage you to dig past what you see on the outside; but pray, hope, & BELIEVE God for more. Our Heavenly Father promises us that He will always be there and that He will even give us the desires of our heart—-we just have to believe it! “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.” John 3:16-17

Send a text“Release that screwed up mind and be transformed with the mind of Christ!” Hey girl! This episode Im on full transparency just because it’s so many of us out here that think we’re just so screwed up, but the beauty in that is…you’re not alone! How many times have you felt as if you try and try to change the way you view things & what about trying to change the way they make you feel? Does your past ever creep up on you? What if someone happens to mention a word that triggers you to some past trauma and now you’re ready to slap and curse someone out and they don’t even know what happened; whew yeah I’ve been there more times than one and in this episode I’m here to tell you that it’s okay! That God is here to give us the strategies on overcoming those triggers and not letting our past get the best of us! Keep up with me as I share some  vulnerable moments that our Father has graced me to overcome and is still helping me through prayer every day!

In this episode I just wanted to take a moment and draw us into the love that God has for us. Going all the way back to our reason of being created to how God sacrificed his only son just for us to have a better chance at life; a new life! If we took a seat back and just allowed ourselves to be in awe of God’s unconditional love and mercy for us, we might just walk the rest of our days with strength and grace. Let’s do better so we can be better!! 

Send a textOne of the most challenging parts of healing; at least the Godly way, is having to get to the point where you realize that how your life turns out is really centered around how you respond to what is presented to you. In this episode let’s dive into the harsh reality that at some point, we can’t always be the victim. It’s okay to feel your feels but after that then what? Let’s thrive in being humble. Let’s shift how we think & allow God to show us what WE can do to be the change we want to see. I believe that true healing starts in self reflection——not blaming yourself for what has happened in the past, but challenging yourself for what we can do to overcome today & tomorrow.

I learned that it’s better to handle a problem than to know it and let it fester. In this episode I encourage my sisters to not let your baggage become your identity!
