We'll dive into the emotions surrounding change: from fear of the unknown, starting over, and imposter syndrome, to self-sabotage and the powerful pull of comfort and routine. We address the science behind why we resist change, including the role of the amygdala and dopamine system, and I'll offer thoughtful, compassionate reminders that you are capable, deserving, and powerful. You'll be reminded that resisting change can shrink our world, but choosing growth builds resilience and self-trust.Some key takeaways from today:Change is the only constant, and although it's scary, it's also full of potential. You're not alone in your fears — but those fears don't get to decide your future. There's room for you, your voice, and your vision.Embrace discomfort — it’s a sign you're growing.Join me for a vulnerable and soulful conversation that will inspire you to step boldly into change, honour your unique path, and live fully and unapologetically. Partnered to Single: Behaviour to Walk Away From and Finally Choose Yourself

Have you ever accepted less than what you know you're worthy of? Have you mistaken the bare minimum for love or princess treatment—because someone made you feel anxious, small, or unworthy of anything more. Do you find yourself omitting pieces of your relationship when talking to your friends or family, because you know they wouldn’t approve of how you’re being treated? Have you ignored clear red flags because you think you could be the one to change someone? In today's episode of Partnered to Single, we are going to be talking about 6 behaviours you should no longer accept:Repeated dishonesty;Disrespect toward others;Being hidden or treated like a secret;Inconsistency between words and actions;Discomfort around who they become with their friends; and Core values that just don’t align. By shedding light on these behaviours, we start to shift the power into our own hands and start to be intentional with who we give our energy to. We'll talk about practical steps to take in order to create boundaries for what you will and will not tolerate, and you will be reminded that the journey to self-worth isn’t about perfection - it’s about honouring your needs, protecting your peace, and choosing again and again to walk away from what no longer serves your soul - and finally choose yourself. Making Assumptions? Here's the Damage it Can Do

In today's episode, we dive into the negative side effects of making assumptions — and how they can quietly create conflict within ourselves and our personal growth, as well as how these negative side effects can sabotage communication and relationships with others. Whether it’s at work, at home, or with your friends, assuming instead of asking questions or fact checking can often lead to misunderstandings, frustration and can distort reality. We explore how normal it is for humans to assume, how easy it is to assume, and how these mental shortcuts can damage trust within yourself and others. We also talk about the potential positives with assuming to create motivation and confidence within yourself to achieve your goals. Tune in to learn why ditching those assumptions can transform the way you connect with others — and yourself.Research from today's episode:https://marciasirotamd.com/psychology-popular-culture/problem-making-assumptionshttps://www.thefouragreements.com/dont-make-assumptions/You can follow the pod on Instagram @solfullivingwithmegsYou can follow me on Instagram: @meganwysieckii

    You're Not Lost, You're Evolving

Do you feel like there are moments in your life where you feel lost and feel so uncomfortable sitting in the unknown? Do you have an idea of what your purpose is, or how you're meant to move in this world? In today's episode, we'll discuss the normalcy of feeling lost, especially in stages of your life where you're currently undergoing change. Sitting in the unknown is unfamiliar to us as humans when we naturally seek comfort, but listening to your intuition and allowing that calm, quiet voice to guide you, will allow you to expand your soul's ability to accept all that is meant for you.Check out Mel Robbin's episode called "A Process for Finding Purpose: Do THIS to Build the Life You Want" that I referenced today. Comparison is the Thief of Joy

Do you ever find yourself participating in some mental gymnastics after seeing someone's perfectly curated life online and wishing your life was just as "perfect"? I promise you are not alone in this feeling. Comparison is a very real and very normal tendency. While this tendency is human, it doesn't take away from the fact that when we do compare, it often breeds negativity and robs us of our joy. In today's episode we will dive into the negative effects of comparison in order to understand why it's a thief of joy, and then we will discuss the tips and tricks to minimize comparison and reclaiming the power you have over your life. Practicing gratitude for what you already posses, identifying the achievements you have already accomplished, and becoming aware that you too are worthy just as you are, will allow you to live in a state of happiness. Be gentle with yourself and remember the importance of watering your own garden versus looking into someone else's. You have one commitment in this life, and it's you. Focusing on you will allow everything else to flow within your world. Why Friendships are so Important

As we move and grow through this beautiful world, I am sure we understand that there are many aspects of our lives that we've had no control over. We didn't have a choice as to when we were born, who are parents are, what our genetics are, and so on, but what we have always had control over is who we surround ourselves with and who we consider our friends. In today's episode we will dive into the topic of why friendships are so important and ultimately why maintaining friendships enrich our lives for the better. Not only does having friends improve your physical and mental well being, but having friends means knowing there is always a constant support system to get you through everything you have to face in life. Friendships not only create a sense of community and belonging, but they truly are lifelines in this world, and maintaining healthy friendships are crucial for survival. Thank you to my dream come true friends for helping me create this episode today. You all inspire me in your own unique ways, and I truly wouldn't be the human I am without you. @dannyblahnco - posted one of the lovely quotes I reference in today's episode @wethinkdeeply - had some beautiful reminders that I also sharedYou can follow the podcast on Instagram @solfullivingwithmegsYou can follow me on Instagram @meganwysieckii@samuelwong, you know the drill, thank you for your musical gifts.

Partnered to Single: Things I Wish I Knew When I Started Dating

Have you ever wondered why a past relationship didn’t work out? Have you been in a relationship where you break up and still find your way back to one another? Have you wondered why that was? Did you feel you were meant to be since you were always coming back to one another? Or did you tolerate less than you deserve and were stuck in a toxic cycle because you were conditioned to believe you are unworthy? I promise you are not alone if you’ve felt that way before or have asked yourself questions like that. We often don’t realize how much our relationships in young adulthood mirror the love we were shown as children and the examples of love we had growing up. I think it’s not until you look within yourself and truly want to live authentically that you start to believe you deserve as much love as you outwardly give to others and begin to break those toxic cycles of being with people who often show you through their actions that they aren’t meant to be with you. In today’s new series: Partnered to Single, I’ll share some stories of past relationships that ended in heartbreak, but through those connections I gained so much knowledge and strength to finally choose myself, today and every day. We’ll talk about how loving your own company and becoming the person you desire is the first step in understanding and believing in your value, and then living accordingly. I want you to remember that we are all human. We are beautifully flawed and sometimes we make the same mistake over and over again until we decide to change the narrative. Trust me. I have made many mistakes in dating, and I am sure I will make many more. There is no certain “rule book” on how to love, or how to date “perfectly". There is no perfect. But there is choosing yourself and loving yourself despite your flaws. I hope you find comfort in that, and I hope by me sharing some of what I have been through, it will remind you that you are never alone. Lots of love. You can find the pod on Instagram @solfullivingwithmegsYou can find me on Instagram @meganwysieckiiYou can also follow the podcast to be notified when the next episode in this new series airs!@samuelwong, thank you for your music our lovely listeners get to hear at the end

Nobody Has it all Figured Out, and That is Okay!

Happy Monday my beautiful friends. I hope you are happy, healthy, and ready to begin another amazing week together.Today's episode is about a coffee date I had with a friend recently, where we discussed letting life lead you and to be open to the changes it presents to you. My lovely coworker inspired me to talk about this topic today because she has been so adaptive to the changes in her life, whenever they've come her way. She understood that while stress is a normal part of life, she wasn't going to allow the uncertainty of a new situation scare her into not trying it, or at least being flexible to a new idea and way of living. I hope this is a good reminder that no one has it all figured out, and we are each navigating the best way we can. I believe allowing yourself to be open to life's changes creates an even better and brighter life for you. Wishing you all a fabulous week, full of love and light. Boundaries Are Our Protectors

Happy Monday my beautiful friends. Thank you for tuning in for today's conversation all about boundaries and why they are crucial in our lives! Boundaries allow us to set healthy limits to what we will and will not accept, and they protect the wellbeing of everyone. We're going to dive into what boundaries are, why they are difficult to establish if you're new to boundaries, and the reasons why we should set them. I refer to a book I read called The Book of Boundaries: Set the Limits That Will Set You Free by Melissa Urban, and this is truly the basis of where this information for today's conversation comes from. I highly recommend you read this book should you wish to be more informed on this topic. I hope after today's moment of connection that you feel more empowered to implement more boundaries in your life, because I promise they will enhance your life.As always, please take what resonates with you, and kindly leave the rest. I am so grateful to each and every one of you and as a reminder, you are resilient and so incredible, so please keep going.
