Spirit of Truth/The Bible on Trial

Not to be overly sentimental but we are truly coming to the end of an era for Spirit of Truth Ministy in making the move from Blog Talk Radio over to Spreaker. And although Spreaker is the parent company for BTR when you have spent nearly 18 years with something that has been a part of the life of our ministry for twice a week for nearly 18 years I can't help but feeling a bit sentimental. Yet the near future is looking like it is going to be the start of something wonderful not only for Spirit of Truth Ministry, but for the world, as we turn a the page on a new chapter in the life of the US of A, and indeed the life of the world. The future is ripe with opportunity with the prospect of sanity returning to our daily lives, and in our spiritual lives. We now know for sure (if you have been listening regularly) that the Time of Trouble such as never has been, that Great Tribulation spoken of in Revelation has given way to the beginning of a time of Peace and Prosperity such as never was, since human being were in Eden. Just think of the staggering idea that we will see the coming of the King of the Kingdom of God come to earth during our lifetimes. He will bring the New Jerusalem to this earth, and the whole world will get to make their individual minds up regarding whether they want to become righteous and holy and enter that City that they can see with their own eyes, or remain unconvinced of that truth, and decide to take their chances on being "saved by Grace through faith" as they have been taught in their churches. Our time truly is short, but do not dispare because God sent the Truth to earth with His own Son through His own words that He gave to His eyewitness disciples while He was here on earth. Good will triumph over evil, truth will win over lies, Eternal Life will crush death, and all will be well with those that love God by keeping His commandments, and holding to the testimony of Jesus.

Joy to the World~ A fascinating musical tid-bit is that the Halleluia Chorus not-with-standing, the most well known piece of music that Handel wrote in his Oratorio "Messiah" was "Joy to the World, the Lord IS come!" This is a song for the Season of Christman, and uses the word "IS" instead of the more commonly used word "Shall" come that is used in the Season of Advent, looking forward to His coming. In the case of the Messiah the word "IS" actually means "Has", in that He is here right now, this very minute. This distinction is in the process of being realized in that Soon and Very Soon the King of His reconstituted Kingdom of God will be finally be openly seen on earth, as the preparation for the New Jerusalem entering the earth's atmosphere and landing upon the earth in a location where every person on earth will be able to see those that are actually inside the Kingdom (in fact) going into and out of this most beautiful of cities.  At this time Satan, the Evil One of Old, and his demons will be locked in the abyss (the spirit world), where they will be prevented from twisting the words of truth in such a way that the truth has become a lie, and the lie Truth. The people of the world will be able make a decision either for or against the Truth without being interfered with by the lies of Satan; and they will have the New Jerusalem as proof of what is true and what isn't. Instead of a Time of Trouble such as never was, there will be 1000 years of peace and prosperity in place on earth, where humanity can make decisions unfettered by believing lies as if they are truth, because the Truth will be there for all to see and hear. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit have had this plan in place since before Eden, yet it is just now being revealed at just the right time. when the world looks darkest. Joy to the World.

Getting Ready for the Big Change~ A BIG change is coming, and it's just around the bend. A big change is coming, and it's going to get you, my friend! When this Big change happens everyone will be affected in one specific way: and that is, you WILL know the Truth. What you do with that truth is up to you, but no one will be able to say "I didn't know," or "I didn't understand." Everyone will understand, from the least to the greatest. When this truth is exposed Satan will not be able to adjust this truth to fit his system of lies, because he and his cohort will be locked in the prison of the spirit world, and will not be able to confuse those that dwell on the earth with is pernicious lies. This will allow the people of the earth to either believe the truth as seen by their own eyes, or continue to believe a lie as if it is the Truth, even knowing what is in store for them. When the Great Reveal of the Seven Thunders of Revelation 10 occurs the world will be given this great and final choice. Spirit of Truth Ministry will be presenting our podcast The Bible on Trial on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 10AM PST, on: blogtalkradio.com/sot. We will use the words of Jesus from his own mouth as recorded in particular in Matthew and John, in the words of His prophets, and the Law in the Old Testament, and His end time prophecies in Daniel 2, and Revelation 10, that will show that Salvation as taught by Paul is 180 degree out of phase with what Jesus taught to His disciples, and that  the prophecies of the end time death and destruction have been replaced by prophecies in Daniel 2 and in Revelation 10 that show that we are in a different time line that began in 2012.  

It's been quite a ride recently, with the national election looming in the USA, and the rhetoric flying fast and loose. The one thing that is interesting in this is that it is becoming more clear as to what information is Truth, and what is not. The disconnect is becoming wider between the perception of reality and what actually IS reality. The point of this observation is that this situation is eerily similar to what has been going on in the Christian church since Jesus left earth for home. The Evil One has co-opted the perception of truth, and turned it into something that 'sounds' like truth, that 'feels' like truth, that operates like truth in the lives of Christians that are "born again", but is decidedly NOT truth when you compare these beliefs to the words of Jesus that He gave to His own eyewitness disiples WHILE HE WAS HERE ON EARTH. Jesus never taught what is being preached from the pulpits, Sunday (and Sabbath)-school classrooms, and evangelitic meetings as the concept that Salvation comes by declaration of love between God and man, that we are saved by faith that the blood of Jesus on the cross saves us IN our sin, that once we declare this love we are no longer subject to a punitive "Law" that only separates us from God's love, and that God knows that we as frail humans have no power to keep the Commandments, and for this reason "righteousness" is a free gift from God. Today is September 6, 2024, and those of us that know what is coming and are not worried because we have the understanding that the outcome is peace and prosperity not death and destruction, looking forward to the coming of the King of the Kingdom of God to His bond servants in a way unlooked for by the majority of the people of earth. This is the new reality found in the here-to-for unseen and unexplained prophecies in Daniel 2 and Revelation 10 (et al) that Spirit of Truth Ministry has been proclaiming since 2020. It is clear from observing the events that are present in the world that Satan and his cohorts are desperate to try to salvage their plans to complete the take over the world using death and destruction as the means of keeping their power intact. Yet as we have seen and heard through what Rick Sterling has been presenting these past four years, that the tide has turned, and the outcome has be changed from that which has been taught by the Christian Church since it's beginning, where the Great Tribulation occurs, and Satan rules on earth just before Jesus and God come in the Clouds, to Jesus coming as a thief in the night to His own bondservant, and the New Jerusalem comes to earth. At that time people of earth will witness that the people that can go into and out of this Great City are the people of the Kingdom of God, "Those that keep the Commandments of God, and hold to the testimony of Jesus." (Rev. 12:17).  The people of earth will learn the truth of God not in a time of distress, but in a time of Peace, without the undo evil influence of Satan, who will be held in chains in the spirit world, and will be unable to cause  people to believe a lie as if it is the truth.. The people of earth will finally be able to see the demonstraton of the Truth of God, and will make their decision for or against God without the influence and malice of the Evil One interfering with that decision. 

Welcome to Spirit of Truth Ministry, and our podcast The Revelation of Jesus with Rick Sterling! This podcast tests the words of Jesus that He recieved from His Father in the heavens, and gave to His own disciples while he was here on earth; and later to His prophet John in Revelation. Not all of the testimony that is included in the New Testiment is the testimony of the eyewitness disciples that spent a little over a year with the Master Jesus Christ while he was in residence here on the earth.  The two writers that are the most prominent of this group are Matthew and John, that heard what Jesus said from His mouth. Mark is included in this group because while he was not an eyewitness, it is postulated that he wrote down the words of Peter, who was an eyewitness, and Mark's testimony is confirmed (except for tha last few verses that we added later) by the testimony of John and Matthew.  Luke (the other gospel writer) never knew Jesus while he was here on earth, did not hear Jesus' testimony first hand, and claimed that he recieved his information from eyewitnesses as well, but does not give their names. Luke was a disciple of the 'apostle'  Paul, that also never knew Jesus "In the Flesh", and who claimed to have recieved his own personal gospel via divine revelation.  When you compare the writings of the eyewitnesses to the writings of Paul you will see a marked difference that is 180 degrees out of phase with what Jesus said, and was written on his behalf. The Bible contains the Truth about salvation and how a person may recieve the Kingdom of God.  But in the parable of the Wheat and the Weeds (Matt. 13: 24-30) lies are included in the Bible as well as Truth. Spirit of Truth Ministry uses .the words of Jesus as the primary source of Truth, and compares all else wth those words. Everyone has at least part of their belief system that is not actually based upon fact, but on supposition. We grow up thinking that what our parents learned from their parents must have been true, because it worked for them down through the years. But when we grow up in a more modern or more sophisticated environment we see things differently thandid  our parents, and change our belief system to fit the new dynamic. Sometimes we do this even though what our parents knew to be true was actuallly true, and we just didn't have enough facts to overcome our disbelief. The Question is, when do we have enough "facts' to make a cogent decision about liteally "anything". This is where having an "open mind" comes into play. You have heard the expression that someone's facts is another person's fantacy? The gtreat Science Fiction writer Jules Verne wrote the story 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea in 1870 CE, about a scientist/warrior that wrecked havoc against the great sea faring powers in the world with a submarine that was driven by the power of the sun; a nuclear reactor. Everyone thought that this was simply a wonderful fanciful story, when today we know that it was true. The facts had not yet caught up with reality. The same is true today, even in the world of end-time prophecy that Spirit of Truth Ministry is speaking about today, as we deal with Life Road Prophecy we now believe to be true, and not.the Death Road Prophecy that we have been taught by our churches since Jesus left earth for Heaven more than 2,000 years ago.  Is this prophetic concept truth or lies? You must suspend your disbelief for a time in order to be able to see the facts, and then you will be able to make your decision based on Fact not Fantesy. The future of our world has changed. The world is no longer on the time line where we would already gone through the 'Great Tribulation', because the time for that to happen has already come and gone. If we had been on that time line the Righteous people of earth would already be in Heaven as we speak, and had this had been the case, then the people that could have been saved by gaining entry into the Kingdom of God would not have become righteous, and would even now been asleep in death waitin for their resurrection to face the Second (eternal) Death, while the Righteous would be "in Heaven", waiting for 1000 years with God, before coming back to earth and watching God pass judgement on the wicked. God, in Their mercy, had an alternate plan for saving the people of earth, and that plan is seen in the Life Road prophecies a seen in Daniel 2 and Revelation 10 (among many others places). The recent information that Rick has presented has changed the landscape of prophetic understanding in a way that allows for the hope that the world will not need to go through the "Great Tribulation" that is expected through the current view of End Time Prophecy. The time for the fulfillment of that Great Tribulation has come, and gone; leaving in it's wake a new understanding that rather than the Death and Destruction of the current prophetic mind set, we see a time when Satan and his minions are defeated, locked in the spirit world where they can no longer tempt the people of earth. and the earth experiences a time of Peace and Prosperity. This is a new world where the New Jerusalem comes to earth, and the undiceded of the nations can look at people going in and out of the City and be able to chose the path to righteousness without the lying interference of Satan being present in the world. This understanding is a dramatic change from what the Christian world has been taught for centuries, and will require a good amount of study and thought to come to this alternate understanding. The net effect this will have on people that believe the current understanding of End Time Prophecy will be that this new understanding is itself a lie of Satan to confuse the issue of where and WHEN we are in time. This is why the God of Truth will not leave the world in confusion for long. The world is ready for a change, and that change is almost here, 'even at the door'. Those that are prepared ahead of time with this new understanding will be able to bring reassurance to their friends, family and neighbors that the world is no longer lost, but has been found by Truth, the truth that will set them free from distress and worry, and bring them to the Kingdom of God. What Do You Expect, Root Beer?~ When I was a boy I was, like most boys of my era, a touch wild. Now most of the time I was what was called (in the vernacular of the time) a "Good Boy".  My parents reared me as a Christian; I was regularly taken to Sabbath School (the Sunday School of Adventism(), then church, then a family dinner or church pot luck lunch, and the a walk with my siblings and my Dad with the dogs going "Up the Road-a" into the  wilderness (truly-there were deer, cougar and bear) behind our house in the foothills of the Verdugo Mountains. And as with any boy of the time (and indeed all times) I would get the occasional cut or scrape, as I tested my skills against reality. My father was a Physician, so when I got said cut or scrape I would run to dad (or mom, if dad was at the hospital) for emergency care. One day after playing "roll down the hill into the bushes", I experienced a fairly large gash in my scalp, that bled copiously, due to the vascular nature of the scalp. I'm certain this this event had nothing to do with my current follically challenged hair line. I ran inside to show my mother my wound that was bleeding all over my  hand and shirt. She called my dad to ask if she should bring me to the Emergency Room at the hosptial. In his normal country doctor voice he told her "NO", don't bring him to the hospital, just put an ice pack in a hand towel, and put pressure on the wound, and that he would be home after work to take care of it. That was in 3 hours. When he got home he camd me and I said, "Dad, I'm bleeding"!" He chuckled and said in his country doctor voice, "What do you expect, root beer?"  That day I learned about actions and penalties.  Soon the world will be experiencing this same thing in preparation for the Kingdom Coming to earth. We are preparing for that Coming, soon!

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows. Matt. 13:8. The future of the world has changed, and as yet, very few people know about it. On the surface it appears that "the beginning of sorrows" is in full swing, and that the great "Time of Trouble" must surely be upon us. At least that is what is believed. But tWhat IF appearances are not all that it seems? What if the prophetic time-line that would have already been in place was no longer operational, and those that were looking for one outcome were being shown another, alternative outcome, and don't yet realize it? The belief systems that were previously in place because of an archaic understanding of how end-time prophecy works is replaced by an new and totally different understanding of prophecy, based on the words of Jesus, and has already replaced the old understanding with a new reality. This would change everything.  How would you feel if you gained the understanding that there would not be a Great Tribulation, but the after a short time of painful adjustment the world would come into a time of peace and prosperity the world has not know since Eden. If you have been listening for any length of time (at all) to this program you know that what the church (ubiquitous) has taught based on the present end-time prophetic interpretations of the book of Revelation is either 3 1/2 or 7 years of horror, death and destruction, and oppression the likes of which have never been seen on earth, and is commonly named The Great Tribulation. This interpretation comes from a variety of sources that list two possible outcomes for the church on earth at the time as either running to the 'hills' and hiding, cowering in fear until the Second Coming, or an event that takes the 'faithful' to heaven, called the Rapture, that leaves the wicked people of the earth to their own devices, to suffer the pain of the Great Tribulation as punishment for doubting God, and where they finally learn the error of their ways, and everyone is saved in spite of being sinful. Because of what Rick Sterling has discovered in Daniel 2 and in Revelation 10, we now know that neither of these outcomes are what is in store for the people of the earth, because the time-line of the END has changed, and we are living in a new and different reality that has it's own set of here-to-for unknown and unrecognized prophecy that does not include a Coming in the Clouds event where the 'righteous' are 'caught up together in the clouds', 'forever to be with the Lord'. How can this be? Doesn't all prophecy have to be fulfilled in total before Jesus can come again? Apparently not! So what is the outcome of these things? That is why your are here, listening to this broadcast (podcast). You are here to learn the truth about the how and why of prophecy being changed from a Death Road plan to a Life Road plan. And even though there will be troubled times in the near future you will also find that you are not going to have to decide your own eternal fate during a time of trouble.

Spiritual Connector~ We all live busy lives in a busy, busy world. And as such, making time to think about and work on our eternal lives rarely occurs during the week. We get in the habit of saving our introspections for church on weekends, or on special religious holidays such as Easter and Christmas. At these times we will dress up and go to church to listen to the sermon and hear the music, and gain a warm fuzzy feeling that we have done our due dilligence in making God a part of our lives, even if it is just a small part; something is better than nothing. We believe  pastors or priests when they say God loves us so much that He has provided a way to salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ spent on the Cross, and all we must do to gain eternal life is "believe on Jesus Christ and you are saved." We go home from church feeling satisfied with our understanding that we will always be sinners, but that Jesus has "paid it all" for our sins, and there is nothing more we need do to demonstrate our love for God other than "Believe!" Our spiritual connector to God and salvation, according to our pastors, is Grace through Faith. Yet those of you that have been listening to our programs for any length of time now realize that this concept is like trying to life a 100 pound weight with a rubber band; the rubber band will break before you get the weight off the ground. The words of Jesus that He gave His own eyewitness disciples is the unbreakable connector between Truth, salvation, and eternal life. But the understanding of the Truth of how salvation really works takes time and patience. Simply attending a church service now and then, or even every week, will not do anything to promote the deep understanding that is needed in order to gain entry into the Kingdom of God. Set aside the time to learn His words and you will be rewarded with the knowledge that brings salvation and eternal life.  

Timing is Everything~ Throughout the history of the world, as described in the history and prophecies in the Bible, it is crystal clear that God has defined a series of events that needed to be timed perfectly in order for His plans for bringing the kingdoms of this world back into the Kingdom of God to happen. This is not to say that God has manufactured events in order to do this. It is that God had identified events and decisions that must take place in the proper order at the proper time in order for the people of the world to see clearly that what God needs is a Kingdom of God on earth to accomplish His goal of returning the world to the righteousness that was present (for a time) after the creation of the world.  Unless you have been living in total isolation you should realize that right now, today, the plans of God to accomplish this are in full swing, and the decison point of history has now been reached. The Calm Before the Storm~ A while ago I wrote one of these 'episode info' pieces titled "Are We There Yet?", and compared what those that are looking for the 'big change' in the world with a child riding in a car asking this question to his parents. The answer in terms of visible action to bring in the  Peace and Prosperity that we have been taliking about here at STM into this world would have to be 'apparently not'. The Master has certainly NOT appeared to His Kingdom, the Wars and rumors of Wars have not ceased, the Wickedness in diverse places is still rampant, and the bringing in of Everlasting Righteousness has not certainly not occurred (Dan.9:24). WHY are we not THERE yet, and  why have we not experienced a 'calm before the storm' that would give those of us that are looking for relief and rescue a hint as to where we are in time? While there is (truly) a rescue in the works that will bring Peace and Prosperity to this world torn by physical war and strife, what Jesus came to do was to show His people (the people of His righteous Kingdom) that the spiritual always comes before the physical, the prosperity of Truth will first bring the Peace of Righteousness to the Intellect (heart and mind) before it will manifest itself into the physical world. The calming of the heart and mind will happen even in the midst of the storms of life when we have discovered the Peace that comes from knowing and practicing the Truth of the words of Jesus. Doing this allows us to become righteous IN FACT, anc brings properity to the soul. When we only look at the outward signs of His coming we miss the beauty and assurance of the inward signs in our intellect that He has already come to us and changed us into righteous being, as is He.

Good News~ With all of the bad news permiating the news cycle these days it is wonderful to see not only a glimmer of hope for the future of mankind, but a magnificent and joyous opening in the financial and spiritual worlds as they combine to present a brand new time of peace and prosperity that has already started to make its presence felt, not just sub-rosa where you had to look hard to see it if you knew where to look, but to the wider world where it will soon become visible to everyone, whether they like it or not. We are in the process of seeing changes from the monetary systems of the Western Central Banks and their oppressive policies of using fiat currency to control the world's finances, to an open system where money is backed by hard and stable metals and commodities (gold, silver, petrolium, etc.), which gives the world currencies parity with one another. Ths is happening right now. Many countries have already changed their currencies to a 'gold backed' status, and these currencies have gained tremendous value, including countries in the Middle-East and in Africa. We are seeing a large country risk a military operation in order to fight the 'Deep State' players in a small country that has been used for years by this deep state to launder money and manufacture biological weapons and vaccines to use to limit and control the population of the the world. This is coming to an end. In these things and many others we see the dark side seeming to win over the Light, but this is just about to end. Having the patience to hang on just a little longer is very difficult when all you see it evil winning. But the time is soon, and now here when the world will change for the better, and this is seen in the prophecies of Daniel 2 and Revelation 10, and you will hear about these thing ONLY here on the Spirit of Truth Radio programs.  

I Screwed Up~ At the hardware store where I work part time, my  area of responsibility is the room where we keep over 30,000 different fasteners, nuts, bolts and screws. An because of this I have been named the biggest 'screw up' in the store, and rightly so. Apparently this is also true here at Spirit of Truth Radio on BTR, because yesterday I did not remember one very important thing as I was preparing the studio for our program, and our show ended after 15 minutes, instead of 60 minutes. I quite literally screwed up. I appologize to Rick and our listeners that were looking forward to another stimulating study, for causing this problem by my not knowing something I should have known. I want you to learn from my error, because there is an important lesson to be learned in my failure. Yesterday I wanted to do a test show in order to check my board and computer settings in a live environment, without having to put our audience through this bording process. About an hour before our start time I did a 'Go Live Now' show in order to try to figure out why we were having some drop out issues. I had Rick call in, and I got the issue sorted, but what I either forgot, or most likely neglected to read 15 years ago when we started our podcast is that our broadcast plan clearly says in the user notes that we are able to do only ONE session per day, for up to 2 hours at a time. There are no second sessions available on any of the plans sponsored by BTR. Therefore, when i opened our studio for our regular show time we were limited to the left over time that I did not use when I did the 'test' show. OOPS! This situation caused a problem because I DID NOT KNOW something critical to my understanding, and we lost our show for the day. Do we really KNOW God's plan for our salvation, or do we not know what we don't know, and miss out of eternal life?     

How much truth is enough? I want you to do an exersize with me that will show you everything you need to know about The Truth and Salvation! We will start by getting a blank sheet of printer paper and drawing a continuous line around the inside margin of the paper, as close to the edge as possible; for our purposes this line and the edge of the paper are the same thing. This blank sheet of paper is a two dimensional image of the entire universe, in all of the dimensions that exist, and all the knowledge that exists, that has existed, and will ever exist. In other words, this line is God, everything He is, and everything He knows.  Now take a sharpened pencil and anywhere on that page draw the smallest circle possible. That circle represents the sum total of all of human knowledge of all ages past, present, and future. Question: How much of that knowledge is outside of what God knows? Take another piece of paper and draw a circle on it. That circle now represents the previous circle that is the sum total of all human knowledge. Draw a circle inside of that circle that will be your idea of how much of a percentage of human knowledge you know. Make it as large or small as necesary to show how much knowledge you have with respect to the sum total of human knowledge. (In may be difficult to draw a circle that small.) Question: how much of all that you know is related to your understanding of the Plan of Salvation, and where did you aquire that knowledge? Does it even matter? Jesus came to earth at the request of His Father. There is nothing that the Father knows that Jesus does not. Picture Jesus inside that tiny circle that represents the sum of human knowledge, having come to earth to "Testify to the truth" about salvation (John 18:37).  Do you believe that someone other than Jesus know everything about how salvation works, and is a better source for truth than Jesus? 

Right or Left~ Ecc 10:2  A wise man's heart directs him toward the right, but the foolish man's heart directs him toward the left. Pro 14:12  There is a way which seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. Every day, in every aspect of life, there are choices, and what you choose as a method for making those decisions will affect not only the outcome of the day, but the outcome of your life.  For many people the choice is based upon how they feel at the moment, decisions based on emotion, and what feels right. This allows a person to make a decision one day, and make the opposite decision the next day, and not see any inconsistency in either choice.  For others, decisions are based upon establishing a principle based upon a method that is outside of themselves, a check-list (as it were), and the choices that are made gain consistency from one day to the next, a series of If-Thens, that provide decisions that lead to a consistent result that does not change from day to day. God has provided a set of Words/Commandments that allows a person that follows them to achieve consistency in decision making based upon the sure knowledge of the truth, and takes the guess work out of the result. A person that abides IN these Words (Law, Prophets, Words of Jesus) has nothing to fear in making decisions based on those principles, because they are Truth. The cardinal dirction of these words is Right, and leads a person to the Kingdom of God, and eternal life.  

Mothers Day~ Sunday is Mothers Day in the U.S.A. I imagine that it is also celebrated in other countries, but I don't know for sure. This is an appropriate celebration day, because celebrating mothers is always appropriate no matter what day of the week.  This day is a reminder to all those people that consider themselves to be 'woke' that it is indeed only women that can give birth to their children. Men have an big part of this process, both before and after, but they are NOT the physical entities that actually go through and endure the process of carrying/gestating a zygote to term, and physically expelling the child from inside their bodies into the outside world. This can only be done by a being that has the correct chromasomal identity and physical attributes to be able to accomplish this remarkable achievement. A man that wishes to be able to do this, dressing and acting as if he can do this, changing his personal pronoun and forcining others to acknowledge this change, and even has surgery to 'look' like he is female in form is still a 'man' in the genetic sense, and can never participate in the actual 'fact' of childbirth, no matter how hard he trues. Men are not women, and women are not men, no matter what a 'woke' society says. This is also true in the spiritual realm We see this described in detail in Revelation 12, with the "Woman clothed in the sun, with a crown of twelve stars on her head".  This 'woman' is the being that gave birth to her first born son, the father of whom is God the Father, Almighty! Two separate and distinct beings, that are God.  When her son was born, He changed from the form of an Archangel (Michael) to the form of a human baby, and at that moment became the Son of God. None of this could be accomplished without a spiritual entity that had the form and function of a wonam. Happy Holy Spirit day!

Fact-Checkers~ If you have been on Face Book at any time in the past year of so you have seen a phenomena that has taken that platform by storm - the fact-checker. These people are hired by Face Book to rebute the comments of people that are so obviously uninformed about reality that they need 'guidance' as to what is real and what is fantasy. Anything that disagrees with the political, social or scientific perspective of the 'editors' of Face Book get 'corrected' (re: censored) by their staff of 'experts', so that their reader will be put back on the correct tract to being properly informed. These 'fact-checkers' are doing the same things that desperate high school students do when they have a writing assignment due the next day and haven't started the project; they pick a topic, and invent 'facts' that support their own personal ideas as to the truth of the subject, then they go to a 'credible' source such as Wikipedia and find an article by some unknown writer that supports their belief, and cite that article as proof. These students don't have time to fully research the assigned topic, so they invent the proof the support the theory. True research takes time and effort, none of which these fact-checkers have time to do properly.  A great man once said, "Facts don't care about your emotions!" How you feel about a subject has no bearing on the truth of the matter. Yet as we have seen the idea that 'facts don't lie' is itself a lie. Of course facts can lie, as long as you pick only those 'facts' that support your position. The Truth of God and how They work in this world is not based on emotional content, it is based upon the Words that God sent to earth with His own Son, and gave to humanity through His servants the prophets, and His own eyewitness disciples. This IS Truth! 

God told the prophet Jeremiah that He would make a covenant with the Israelites when they were restored to the land of Israel after the captivity. Jeremiah 31:34 (JB) There will be no further need for neighbor to teach neighbor, or brother to say to brother, 'learn to know Yahweh!' No, they will all know me, the least no less than the greatest... The Son of God speaking to the religeous leaders of the Jews said: "You do not know Me, nor do you know my Father; if you did know Me, you would know My Father as well" John 8:19 (JD) To the woman at the well The Son of Man said; You worship what you do not know... But a time will come-in fact it is here already-when true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth: that is the kind of worshipper the Father wants. God is spirit, and those who worship must worship in spirit and truth. John 4:21-24 (JD) Philip said, 'Lord, let us see the Father and then we shall be satisfied. 'Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and you still do not know Me?'  To know about the Father, is not the same as "knowing" the Father. To know the Father we must know come to know His Son. The only way this can be, is to learn the truth. To learn the truth is the way to the Father and the Son. The Spirit of Truth will teach you, but you must be willing to learn. The only way this will happen is by setting aside everything you have learned that is not 100% consistant with the testimony of God's Son.

Stupid~ We have all been stupid; it is endemic to the human condition. One of my favorite quotes from Robert A. Heinlein describes in precise language the condition of 'stupid': "There is no accounting for the power of human stupidity." And lest you believe this not to be true just look at the direction of the USA under the previous Administration and where we are now going under the new one. Everything has changed, and not for the better. Many of those that voted for the current 'President' are now regretting that choice, and trying to figure out what went wrong between what they were promised, and what has been delivered. Stupidity is a universal human condition that cannot be cured using logic and resson, because those two processes are impossible for a person to recognise as valid, in the face of the fear and emotion that control their decision making. Being stupid is not a sin, otherwise children would never be able to live long enought to grow up to become adults. The job of a parent to to protect a child from their own stupidity long enough for them to learn the difference. Some people never grow up. The paradiigms they live with and have learned from their upbringing have caused many people to "believe a lie as if it is the truth". They don't choose to see reality, but choose to live in a waking dream world where all is sweetness and light, as long as they 'believe'. And when the origin of their belief is proven to them to be a lie they still choose to believe that lie because their 'faith' is strong, and God would never allow them to believe something that is not true. This wishful thinking can kill you.  "This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. John 3:19. Stupidity is not a sin. Staying stupid is!  

Be Not Afraid~ One of my favorite pieces of doggerel (comic verse composed in irregular rhythm) this: "When in panic when in doubt, run in circles scream and shout!" This speaks specifically to what we are seeing in the news about the 'run' on toilet paper and other survival good that are flying off the shelves in grocery stores. Yesterday things were so bad where I live that I couldn't get into the parking lot at our local Stater's, and cars were lined up on the street. When is it appropriate to be afraid? We are almost always afraid of something about which we know little or nothing, something that catches us by surprise, and not in a nice way, such as a surprise party. Today, and for the forseeable future, we see this in the COVID-19 outbreak making it's way across the world. People are scared out of their minds by just the thought of getting this disease, primarily because or the horrible and self-serving attitute of the main stream media, that wants to promote their own agenda in trying to discredit a sitting President, and also sell advertising.  We can also see this same type of fear all through the Bible, when people come in contact with people or events that they have had no previous experience with. But God does not want us to have fear, He wants us to have peace.  So when it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and *said to them, "Peace be with you."  So Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you." And when He had said this, He breathed on them and *said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit".  John 20:19, 21, 22. "I will fear no evil, for You are with me." Ps. 23:4.  

Comeback~ Making a comeback is hard to do. There you are, going along swimingly, family is wonderful, work is good, and you are feeling good and looking sharp. Then out of the blue you are blindsided by an event or a personal situation that simply derails everything. Suddenly you don't know which way is up. The pain of loss, the uncertainty of disease, the burden of an unlooked for financial catastrophe puts everythng in your life on hold.  All of us have experience something of this in our lives. And after the initial shock wears off we must decide what to DO about it. These situations demand action and accountability; we must take charge and overcome - or die! This death is most often not the literal kind. It is the 'dying' inside of giving up, or giving in to circumstance that sends our lives into a potientially fatal tailspin. These situations require a comeback, sometimes of epic proportions. We all have some understanding of what it takes to win over. Yet when faced with similar situations in our spiritual lives we have been told by our Pastors, teachers or even parents that all God wants from us is to "Give everything over to God, and let God deal with it." We have been assured that "His grace is sufficient" to solve all of our spiritual problems, and when we "Let Go and Let God" we will have found the answer to all of our difficulties. Unfortunately, doing this will not solve the problems in our physical lives, and neither will it solve our difficulties with our spiritual lives.  Jesus teaches us to make a 'comeback', by coming back to His Words and His Teachings that He gave to His own eyewitness disciples. WE must accomplish righteounes the was that Jesus taught by "Practicing the truth so we can come to the light" (John 3:21).  WE are accountible for our own salvation, and we must COME BACK to Him to do it.  

Graduation~ Yesterday my son, Zach, defended his Ph.D. dissertaion, was passed by his committee, and has now been graduated into his Ph.D. in music composition at UCLA. He is now able to use the title Dr. Zachery Neufeld in his professional life. This is truly a watershed moment in his life, and will inform everything he does from here on in his career in both writing and performing music.  This accomplishment did not come easily, as you might well imagine. He finished his academics a little over 2 years ago, and has been in dissertation mode ever since. The striggle (in his own words) was to decide whether the effort to write his final dissertation was going to be worth the effort and heart ache that would be necessary to to accomplish the task. Many grad students at this level (in all disciplines) simply give up, because life gets in the way, and it is VERY difficult to justify the end result with the inconvenience and expense of doing the nearly impossilbe. Getting a Ph.D (or any doctoral level degree) is purposely made almost impossible to accomplish, in order separate out those that have the commitment and drive to succeed from those that simply 'wish' and 'hope' for success. This is also true for those that 'say' they want eternal life, but don't have the determination and drive to DO what is necessary to achieve it. Most 'Christians' want eternal life, but have come to believe that it is their RIGHT by the free gift of grace provided by Jesus death on the cross, and as long as they believe by faith they will be granted their graduate degree without the hard work of DOING the truth.  "For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it" Matt. 7:14.  "But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God." John 3:21.  

Missing in Action~ Why would God take the time to prepare an army of 'the Faithful' only to take them off the battlefield just before battle is engaged? This situation sounds unlikely, if not impossible, but this is what many Christians believe will happen at the end of time via the 'Secret Rapture' that will supposedly take the 'Faithful' out of harms way into the heavens before they go through the horrific events of the 'end of time'. The reason not to spend time in refuting this misconception is for one reason only, and that is the fact that the word of TRUTH actually matters in understanding salvation and the events of the end of time. If all you needed was 'faith' to gain eternal life, then learning and practicing Truth would not matter. Why go through the process of sanctification and all that entails if what we do has no bearing on where we end up? If the operation of salvation was literally based on the idea that all you had to do to be saved was to believe you were saved by faith through grace thef an army of the righteous going 'missing in action' before the final events would be a non-issue; it simply wouldn't matter to the outcome of who is saved and who is lost. On it's face it is ludicrous to believe that God would send His only Son to die on the cross to save people that have, by their actions, expressed NO interest in being obedient to the Commandments of the King of the Kingdom of God. Yet this is what ALL Christians believe IS true, because they have been instructed by a false apostle to believe that going 'missing in action' is an acceptable alternative in the fight to save the Kingdom of the Heavens from the "hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth '. (Rev. 3:10). If you are missing in action you will also be missing from eternity.

Thanksgiving~ We are coming to my favorite holiday of the year, Thanksgiving. Family, good food, wonderful conversations and interactions with loved ones, and remembering good times and Thanksgivings past. When I think about it, there is a kind of emotional sappiness about Thanksgiving which I love. But the most important thing about the Thanksgiving holiday here in America for me is that there are NO gifts and presents required for admission. All that is required is that you get together with friends and family, and enjoy each others company.  That is not to say that I don't like Christmas, I do. But for a musician Christmas is a LOT of work to prepare for the concerts and church music commitments that require hours of rehearsal, and sometimes travel. I DO LOVE IT. The thing I don't like about the Christmas season is that it starts so early these days; the store where I work part time already has all of our Christmas merchandise on display for sale way before Thanksgiving, and this is just wrong. All this is well and good, but what we do forget to be Thankful for this time of year, and should be thankful every day of the year is that Jesus took time out of his busy schedule running the universe to come to this earth and bring the TRUTH from God about salvation to a truth starved world that had been co-pted by lies. These lies are so insideous that people have become thankful for those very lies, believing that what they have been taught about salvation is true.  Yes, we should be thankful for the 'good news' of salvation, but if you believe what the church has taught about how salvation works you are thanking the God of the Universe for those lies, and this will end up killing you. We must LEARN the Truth in order to be thankful for it. Beware the deception and you will be able to be truly thankful for Salvation of God through the words and teachings of Jesus! Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Illegal vs. Unlawful! Misconception and misrepresentation are two identities that are so prevalent in the world today as to be ubiquitous! We see both of these everyday in the world of politics, in the battle between the Left and the Right for the 'soul' of the electorate, not only in the USA but throughout the world. One side may misrepresent the truth, while the other side accuses the other of that very misrepresentation. Misconception is the result of not understanding the difference between an act being illegal, and an idea or concept being unlawful. Not to put too fine a point on it but we are seeng this in Washington with one side accusing the other side of illegal acts without 'facts in evedence' to support the accusation, and then stating that doing this is legal.  So what is the difference between 'legal' and 'lawful'?  When Jesus was here on earth the Pharisees and Saducees accused Jesus of being a sinner. Their definition of sin was based upon the 'Law of Moses' that THEY had intepreted, and had codified in the Talmud; that is, they decided by fiat (Satute) what keeping the law was supposed to be, and if you didn't keep it their way you were a sinner. They had conflated their understanding of the Law as being the only way to legally keep the Law. Jesus came to earth to show them and the world that the Law of God was above the interpretation of mankind, and that Law simply 'WAS'! Jesus showed that the Law of God was the 10 Commandments, the Covenant of the Kingdom, and was in and of itself immutable  "Common Law". Law that is legislated (produced) by mankind is 'legal'. The Law that simply "IS" is Lawful!  Jesus told Moses at the burning bush, "I AM", showing that it is HIS words that are the gold standard of truth. Obedience to the LAW of God brings salvation. 

POD~ Have you ever paid a bill? If you are an adult, and actually live (mostly) in reality then you have certainly paid a bill. In the past bills came in the mail. You would open the bill from you utility, credit card, mortgage, or gasoline company and at the top of the bill is a notice that says 'Due By Date'. If you don't pay the bill by that date your are in 'arrears', and your bill is subject to a penalty. In the case of a mortgage or utility if you don't pay after a specific amount of time (30, 60, 90 days) then you become subject to disconnect or foreclosure. That 'due by' notice is also known by the term Pay On Demand. This means that you have used goods or services ahead of the payment for same, and the entity that supplied the goods or services now, as in immediately, wants their money. When you go to a 'brick and mortar' store this POD happens when you go to the cashier and enter a transaction in which you present what you have chosen from their stock and present a 'bill' (currency) in exchange for that item. When the transaction is completed to the satisfaction of both parties you can take the item with you out the door. If the transaction is not completed, as with a declined credit card, you must leave the item on the counter and go your way. If you decide to take the item anyway (as happens on a regular basis where I work) then you become a thief, and are subject to legal action. Salvation works the same way. You have been sent a Pay On Demand notice by the God of Creation that says that you must pay for the sin of breaking of the Laws of God, and that the only acceptable payment is your eternal death. To live, you can have this penatly paid by the King of the Kingdom of Heaven IF you become a member of that Kingdom by "keeping the commandments of God, and holding to the words of Jesus" (Rev. 12:17).     

Wedding day~ Tomorrow afternoon my son and his bride will be married. It is an auspicious day, and one that we will enjoy to the full, and remember for eternity. The metaphor of the 'marriage' is all through the Bible, and especially in the parable/prophecies of Jesus in Matthew, John, and Revelation. The description therein touch my heart because as a father that has already prepared my daughter for her marriage to her wonderful husband, it is my great pleasure to have prepared my son for his marriage to the love of his life, and to be able to see the wedding come to pass. God is in the process right now of preparing His attendents so that they can prepare the attendents of the Bride, so the Bride can be fully prepared in her pure white linen wedding dress to meet her bride. This is going to be a moment that none of us that witness this event will ever forget, throughout eternity. To participate in thest things we must be fully prepared in righteousness to fultill the roles that Jesus has established for us from the foundation of the world. Don't miss it-learn the TRUTH!

TEST

The Hubris of Stubborness~  Have you ever experienced looking at your gas guage in your car and saying to yourself, "I'll get gas on the way home"? And when you get in the car to go home you are so fixated on getting away from work, getting home and relaxing that you forget the promise you made to yourself to get gas; and you run out a half-mile from your driveway. Or you have to make a trip to the grocery, and your wife says that she needs a few items, and you think to yourself, "I'll remember it, I don't need to write it down"? And when you get to the store you promptly forget one of those items because you were to stubborn to take a few seconds to make a list. We have all experience this. It is not the result of malicious intent. It is simply that we believe that we are better than we really are at keeping track of all those things that invade our ongoing thoughts. When we believe that we know all that we need to know about anything, we remove our ability to learn anything new from the equation of our lives. The hubris of stubborness is a chronic problem of identity; we believe that what we believe is correct, and believe we don't need to know anything else to accomplish a task. 'Because you say, "I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing," and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked," Rev. 3:17. As much as we would like to believe it, we (all of us) are in some things still at the first stage of learning; We don't know what we don't know. And this is a very dangerous place to be, because this 'not knowing what we don't know' can rear up and bite us more quickly than a rattlesnake in the brush.  Little children don't have this problem. Become as a little child, and learn Truth  

He Is Risen, Indeed? It is interesting to me what a comma and a question mark can to to an expression that is used at and reserved for this weekend each year. Christians go to church on either Sunday or Saturday (Sabbath) on Easter weekend and greet each other with the expression "He is Risen; He is risen indeed!" The consentration of thought and emotion in this saying is palpable in comparison to Christian holy days such as Christmas or Lent. The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is the most poginent event in Christendom, that completes Paul's gospel of Death and Resurrection as the 'saving grace' that brings eternal life. No matter how lovely the music and sincere and heart felt the sermon the question must be asked and answered, "Is this true?" Did Jesus come to earth specifically to 'Die for our sins?" Is the grace that is manifest in the resurrection of the body as exemplified by the resurrection of Jesus body all that is needed to achieve eternal life? How can we believe that Jesus said these things to Paul since He  "was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead, according to the Spirit of holiness, Jesus Christ our Lord," (Rom.1:4), which means that when Jesus was on earth He WAS NOT the Son of God UNTIL He was resurrected. This does not sound right, does it? Jesus primary purpose for coming to earth (according to His own words) was not to die for our sins.  Jesus answered, "You say correctly that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice." (John 18:37. It is the WORDS of Jesus that makes us RIGHTEOUS. Then and only then will the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross as the Son of God matter in our salvation.  Indeed, Jesus has Risen! And so will we if we believe HIS words!

Religious Fascism! Have you ever attended a church that had a dress code, or played one kind of music to the exclusion of all other types? Have you ever had religious person tell you with certainty that the prophet of their church is right, and you better take heed and do what she/he says or you are going to hell? When you ask a person what their 'religious belief' is based upon do they ever cite Bible texts to you that seem to prove their point, but are taken out of context? When someone insists that you believe as do they or you are not going to be saved, this is a form of Fascism, which states that God is going to punish you with eternal death if you don't believe what their church states as truth. When this happens most of us chalk this up as a reaction to religious fervor and just let it go. But this is a symptom of the world in which we now live.  An example of this is the following Facebook post from a friend: Political Correctness is Fascism pretending to be Manners! So taking this to its logial religous conclusion, we can say that: Religious Correctness is Fascism pretending to be Truth! ALL religion is a man made construct that takes personal belief to the extreme of demanding adherense from everyone. In order to belong to any church a person must accept what that church believes to be true about salvation, and if you don't follow the dogma you are excommunicated without prejudice. If THIS what Jesus came to earth to accomplish? Hardly! Jesus told Pilate that He came to "Testify to the Truth", and this did not include starting a religion which has been named 'Christianity' by its founder, the 'aposlte' Paul. Truth is not what we believe, it is what we KNOW!

The only way to come to a complete understanding of truth is to agree that there actually is an understanding of truth that is complete. Another critical factor in understanding truth is to acknowledge that the origin of truth is outside of you, and that truth needs to be inside of you to have meaning and bring purpose in life. You must admit that Truth is not a feeling or an emotion, but it is an activity. Jesus said it best: ""But he who practices (accomplishes) the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God." John 3:21.
