HAVE MARRIED PEOPLE LIED ABOUT MARRIAGE?

Have Married People Lied About Marriage? In this Episode of our Podcast we try to Make Sense of the Rising Divorce Rates in our Society. We reflect on a number of questions surrounding this dilemma;• Have married people been honest about what marriage actually requires? • Is marriage harder than we were told—or are we less prepared than previous generations? • How is marriage commonly presented to single people—especially in church and social spaces? • Do we over-emphasize romance and under-emphasize responsibility? • What important truths about marriage are rarely spoken about publicly? • Is silence about hardship a form of dishonesty—or an attempt to protect the institution? • Why do many married people only share the “highlight reel” of marriage? • Is there pressure on married couples to appear successful even when they are struggling? • How does social media contribute to unrealistic expectations of marriage? • Are we afraid that honesty about difficulty might discourage others from marrying? • What if telling the truth about marriage is the very thing that saves it? • Are young people entering marriage emotionally and mentally unprepared? • How could the shock of marital difficulty affect commitment and perseverance? • Do unmet expectations play a role in early marital breakdown? • Is premarital counseling enough in today’s context? • Should we normalize ongoing marriage mentorship instead of crisis intervention? • If young people knew how hard marriage could be, would they still choose it?Have Married People Lied About Marriage? SEND BACK TO SENDER: BIBLICAL WARFARE OR SYNCRETISM?

What exactly do people mean when they say “Send back to Sender” in prayer? In this Episode of the Tru Tangazo Podcast, we bring some Theological Lugezigezi on a couple of Questions surrounding this idea of "sending back to sender".What has informed such language and practice disguised as prayer — Scripture, or syncretism? How do the Psalms of lament and imprecation fit into this conversation—are they prescriptive or descriptive? What are you sending back? To whom? To which address? How do we distinguish real prayer from spiritual gymnastics that resemble sorcery? What does our prayer language reveal about our faith, hearts, and understanding of God’s character? What are the spiritual and emotional consequences of normalising “send back to sender” prayers in church? How might these prayers affect new believers or those coming from traditional spiritual backgrounds? How can we pray more biblically and more reasonably?Hashtags#prayer #faith #biblicaltruth #religion #syncretism Please LIKE, COMMENT, SHARE, AND YEESSSSSS ..... THE ROLE OF FEAR OF DEAD IN OUR FAITH AND SALVATION JOURNEY.

In this conversation, we wrestle with difficult but necessary questions about how fear is used in Christian teaching and ministry. While fear of God is a biblical reality, the gospel ultimately leads us into freedom, truth, and a deeper understanding of God’s holiness and love.We explore the tension between fear and love, the danger of replacing the Word of God with emotional or dramatic experiences, and the difference between morality and true holiness. Are we sometimes creating dependence on ministries instead of pointing people to the liberating power of the gospel?Through these reflections, we ask whether the fear we promote is leading people into reverence for a holy God or simply keeping them afraid. Some Questions explored in this video:• Are we sometimes using drama or emotional experiences as a substitute for the Word of God?• How do we balance fearing God and loving Him? Is fear alone enough?• What happens when we confuse morality with holiness?• How does understanding God as love change the way we think about fear?• Can fear be used as a tool to keep people dependent on ministries rather than on Christ?• What is the difference between unhealthy fear and the right kind of fear that honors God’s holiness?• How does reverencing God as holy turn Him into our sanctuary rather than our terror?• If the gospel is truly the power of God that brings freedom, why do some teachings seem to keep people dependent? This discussion invites believers to examine whether the message they are hearing—and sharing—truly reflects the freedom, holiness, and love found in the gospel of Jesus Christ.#fear #faithoverfear #salvation #salvationinjesus #death

ARE WE TREATING LGBTQ FRIENDS RIGHT? [ Q&A series EP. 08]

Are we truly treating our LGBTQ friends the way Scripture calls us to?If they are human beings created in the image of God, is the command to love them optional—or unconditional? In this episode, we ask hard but necessary questions:👉 Does loving our LGBTQ friends compromise our faith?👉 Can we love people deeply while still holding to biblical truth?👉 Are we consistent in how we call out sin, or do we excuse the ones that are culturally acceptable?Jesus calls us to love—but what does that love actually look like?We explore the story of Jonah, a prophet sent to minister to people he did not want to love. What can Nineveh teach us about obedience, mercy, and God’s heart for all people?Jesus’ words in Matthew 5:44 challenge us further: “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”If that is the standard, who do we exclude—and why?Can we point fingers at LGBTQ individuals while ignoring corruption, adultery, pride, and hypocrisy in our own lives? If Scripture is clear that none of these inherit the Kingdom of God, are we judging selectively? This conversation does not deny the existence of sin.At the end of the day, the question remains:Are we focused on defending our comfort, or on doing what Scripture actually requires of us?Hashtags:#FaithAndTruth #BiblicalLove #HardConversations #ChristianLiving #LoveWithoutCompromise#GraceAndTruth #Matthew544 #JonahAndNineveh #HeartCheck #ScriptureFirst#ChristianQuestions #LovingLikeJesus

IS THERE SUCH A THING AS CORRUPTION?

In this video, we ask a difficult but necessary question: is corruption real, or have we learned to live comfortably with it?We explore how corruption often begins—not just in systems, but in hearts—when we choose not to confront issues that demand accountability. From there, we take a deep dive into the origin of false teaching, beginning with the creation story and the role of the serpent as the first source of distortion and falsehood. We also examine uncomfortable realities in religious spaces, where corruption is sometimes excused:Is giving or tithing by the corrupt enough to overlook injustice?Have generosity and spiritual language become shields for wrongdoing? What if the Apostle Paul were living in Uganda today—would his concerns be any different? When we avoid conflict, are we also avoiding truth?Have we reduced truth to “my truth” instead of God’s truth? If Jesus walked into our churches today and saw markets where worship should be, how would He respond? Is corruption something “out there,” or something we’ve normalized? How do false teachings shape the way we view God and ourselves? Are we willing to let truth disrupt our lifestyles? What does biblical truth demand of us today? This conversation looks at the power of truth. Truth forces us to examine our lifestyles, confront our comfort, and respond with action. And because truth demands change, we sometimes avoid it—choosing comfort over obedience. We ask:We reflect on Jesus cleansing the temple and ask a sobering question:Finally, we are challenged to return to the basics—to be deeply rooted in the Word of God. Because without Scripture as our ultimate authority, truth becomes optional and obedience becomes negotiable. If the Bible is merely a suggestion, do we treat its truths the same way?And how do we measure truth if not against God’s Word?Questions to Reflect On:#biblicaltruth #falseteaching #churchandpolitics #biblestudy #sounddoctrine #jesusandme #christianyoutube #scripture #faithinpractice

Is it okay to beat up a non-believer for speaking wrongly about God? [ Q&A series EP. 07]

In this video, we explore this difficult question through the example of Jesus Himself. We looked at the different ways Jesus responded to sinful people—including those in the temple—and how His response was always rooted in perfect love.We discussed the idea of complete love, a love that is patient and long-suffering. We then explore different questions.1. Is God’s patience toward our sin a sign of weakness—or of love? (2 Peter 3:9)2. When Jesus was insulted, why didn’t He retaliate?3. Why did God give the apostles the Word instead of swords?4. Can anger redeem someone—or is redemption only God’s work?We reflect on these questions to understand:When someone speaks wrongly about God, should our reaction be force—or faithfulness? Can we defend truth the way Jesus did—without violence, but with conviction?Hashtags#bibleteaching #christianliving #jesusexample #biblicallove #Discipleship #christianfaith #apologetics #lovelikechrist #gospeltruth Please LIKE, COMMENT, SHARE, AND YEESSSSSS ..... Why Did Solomon Have So Many Wives? [ Q&A series EP. 06]

In this video, we dig into one of the most puzzling biblical questions: Why did King Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived, have so many wives and concubines? We explore the important difference between descriptive and prescriptive parts of the Bible—what the Bible describes in a story versus what God actually prescribes for His people.Using Genesis 2, we look at God’s original design when He said, “A man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife.” One man. One wife. One union. We then contrast this with Solomon’s life and examine how his choice to join himself to many women directly contradicted God’s intention. We also discuss the consequences of Solomon’s decisions:1. How his marriages led him into idolatry2. How this ultimately caused the division of the kingdom3. And how it set a pattern that influenced generations of unfaithful kings after himFinally, we draw a parallel to today—how polygamy and unfaithfulness still damage families, leaving emotional, spiritual, and relational wounds that can last for generations. If you’ve ever wondered what the Bible really teaches about marriage, wisdom, and the dangers of drifting from God’s design, this video will give you a grounded, biblical perspective.

ON HONORING THE PROPHET - Why? or Why Not?

In this video, as part of our "Theological Lugezigezi" Segment, we discuss what it really means to honor prophets — from the Bible to today’s church. We look at how David and other kings honored prophets, and question whether modern “honor” has become mixed with materialism and traditional religious practices. We explore:1. What the Bible says a prophet is.2. Whether honor is transactional, and should come with blessings or gifts.3. How leaders today should point people back to God, rather than themselves to be honored. We also reflect on Jesus’ example of servant leadership — though He was God, He humbled Himself to serve (Philippians 2:5–8). True honor is not about titles or money, but about recognizing those who serve faithfully, including lay leaders and volunteers.📖 Key Scriptures: 1 Timothy 3:1–7, Philippians 2:5–8Please join in the conversation and share your thoughts so we can edify one another. WHICH BAPTISM IS THE BEST? [ Q&A series Ep 05 ]

In this video, we explore these powerful questions and more — looking at what’s not just “better,” but what’s truly biblical when it comes to baptism.1. Why was Jesus baptised if He was already perfect? 🤔2. What does it really mean to “fulfil all righteousness”?3. Does getting baptised make someone better — or is it something deeper?4. Is baptism just a symbol, or does it represent something spiritual like death and resurrection?5. What did the people of old do for baptism, and how does that compare to what we do today?6. Is it ever right to be re-baptised once you truly understand your faith?7. And what does it mean to be baptised not just with water, but with the Spirit and fire? 🔥🙏 Join the conversation, reflect on your own faith journey, and discover what baptism really means in your walk with God. #baptism #jesusbaptism #biblestudy #faithquestions #holyspirit #christianlife #religion #christianity #faithquotes #truthatallcostsPlease LIKE, SHARE, AND SUBSCRIBE to continue receiving Notifications of our latest Episodes. True vs. False Prophets | Knowing Them by Their Fruit [ Q&A series Ep 04 ]

In this video, we explore the nature of prophecy and what Scripture teaches us about discerning true messengers of God. We discuss:✨ Why every prophecy must align with God’s Word.✨ How genuine prophets point to Christ—not themselves.✨ The importance of edifying the church and glorifying God, not man.✨ What it means to “know them by their fruit” (Matthew 7:15–20).False prophets may appear convincing, but God has given us clear ways to test the spirits and recognize what is true. Why do BAD Things happen to GOOD People?

Why do bad things happen to good people? 🤔 The Bible shows us that life isn’t about “good people get good things and bad people get bad things.”Welcome back to another Edition of our Tru Tangazo Podcast. In this video, we look at Joseph, who was faithful but still imprisoned, and Job, who was upright yet suffered greatly. Their stories remind us: no one is truly good—only God is good (Romans 3:10).Jesus said God “sends rain on the just and the unjust” (Matthew 5:45). So instead of rejoicing when others suffer, we’re called to pray they find Jesus and His saving grace.📖 Scriptures: Genesis 37–50, Job 1–2, Romans 3:10, Matthew 5:45Please LIKE, SHARE, AND SUBSCRIBE to continue receiving Notifications of our latest Episodes. Welcome to another Edition of our Tru Tangazo Podcast. In this Episode we wrestle through the Problem of Syncretism in the Church.Have we Animized Christianity? Or attempting to Christianise Animism?Christians can consider themselves to be every possible; from tongue-speaking, fire-spitting, demon-chasing, dream interpreters, future-tellers, healers, from above and from below, sheep … but not Syncretic! What exactly is this Monster called SYNCRETISM?Is it such a relevant topic for the church today, particularly in Africa? What common examples of spiritualism and superstition that exhibit Syncretism (a blend of worship of the God of the Bible and our ancestors) do we have in the church in both our context and Africa as a whole? What role have churches and church leaders played in either helping to clarify or even worsen the confusion? What steps can we take towards confronting and addressing syncretism in our church life and worship? You can get involved in the conversation by sharing your thoughts in the Comments section, and asking your Personal Questions on the Topic of Fatherhood and Parenting . Why did Jesus choose ONLY MEN as his disciples and not even one Woman among them?

Welcome to another Edition of Q&A on our Tru Tangazo Podcast. In this Episode we continue with our brief responses to Tough Questions of Life and Faith that we gathered from some of the recent Schools Outreaches. Have you ever wondered why there is no female/women directly named among Jesus' Twelve disciples? Possibly even among the 72! Why is it so? Is the Bible being sexist, when female followers of Jesus aren't named explicitly alongside their male colleagues? It is also said that Jesus fed 5000 men, not counting women and children. Why?In this Episode, Raymond, our Team Leader, shares some incredible insights on this tough question, that you will probably identify with. Father Wounds & Wounded Fathers - a Reflection on Luke 15_11-32.

Welcome to another Edition of our Tru Tangazo Podcast. In this Episode we bring you a Special Father’s Day Conversation in which our Team Leader hosts Mr. Ivan Otim (Team Leader at The Dad Base) and together they discuss “Healing for Father Wounds and Wounded Fathers.” They reflect through some of Jesus’ provocative thoughts in Luke 15 (especially 11-32).🙌🏾We acknowledge that Fathers grow up with wounds, and take them into their fatherhood journey, and end up wounding their children. And the cycle continues. To end it, believe there has to be intentionality in looking backwards at our fathers’ wounds that they suffered as sons, acknowledge the wounds they’ve caused (some because of their own scars), then prevent further wounds by fostering a healing environment. Are you aware of your father’s wounds? Or you only know the ones he caused you?#Operation-Healing-For-Fathers#Fathers’-Wounds-Matter!#Making-Father’s-Day-Real-Again🙌🏾💪🏾You can get involved in the conversation by sharing your thoughts in the Comments section, and asking your Personal Questions on the Topic of Fatherhood and Parenting .
