Episode 116: What It Looks Like to Actually Walk This Out
For Holy Week and a bit beyond, I brainstormed a few ways to discuss pre and post Resurrection. We've discussed expectations shaken. Truth revealed. Faith tested. Truth received and today life lived. But at some point, this has to move beyond something we hear, and become something we live. Over the past several weeks we've talked about "When God Doesn't Do What You Expected" on episode 112, "When Faith Looks Real…But Isn't" on episode 113, "What the Resurrection Actually Reveals" on episode 114, "Why Some People Don't Change After the Resurrection" on episode 115, and today for episode 116 we're talking about what it actually looks like to walk all of this out in everyday life, not perfectly, but consistently. This is where everything comes together in a way that's real, practical, and rooted in truth. Let us begin. Episode 115: Why Some People Don't Change After the Resurrection
This week we're discussing "Why Some People Don't Change After the Ressurection" on The Seeds of Transformation Podcast with Dr. Allma Johnson. This question will answer why its possible to hear the truth…and still remain unchanged? In this episode, we're having an honest conversation about the difference between hearing, knowing, and truly being transformed. Scripture shows us that not everyone responds the same way, and understanding that can bring both clarity and direction. Let us begin. Episode 114: What the Resurrection Actually Reveals
Hey there and welcome! The resurrection isn't just something we remember, it's what reveals what is true. In episode 114, we're walking through what the resurrection really means and why it matters in a deeper way than we often think. This isn't just about a moment in history, it's about what was proven, what was fulfilled, and what becomes possible because of it. It's the topic today on The Seeds of Transformation Podcast with Dr. Allma Johnson. Let us begin. Episode 113: When Faith Looks Real…But Isn't
Welcome to episode 113 of The Seeds of Transformation Podcast. I'm your host Dr. Allma Johnson. As we know, not everything that looks real…is real. In this episode, we're taking a closer look at faith, what it looks like on the surface versus what's actually rooted in truth. Sometimes the hardest things to recognize aren't obviously wrong, but subtly off. This conversation will help you slow down, look deeper, and begin to understand what real, lasting faith actually produces. Let us begin. Welcome to The Seeds of Transformation Podcast with Dr. Allma Johnson. Question? What do you do when God doesn't move the way you thought he would? In this episode, we're talking about those moments when things don't unfold the way you expected, and how that can leave you questioning, processing, and trying to understand what God is actually doing. Episode 111: Obedience When No One Sees - Colossians 3:23–24; Matthew 6:1; 1 Samuel 16:7 NIV
Welcome to episode 111 of The Seeds of Transformation Podcast. I'm Dr. Allma Johnson, your host. Today we're talking about something quiet — but deeply revealing: who we are when no one is watching? Much of our world rewards visibility. But Scripture consistently directs our attention to faithfulness in the unseen. The kind of obedience that isn't performed. The integrity that doesn't require applause. This episode is about motive, about hidden faithfulness, and about serving Christ even when there is no audience. Without further adu, let us begin. Episode 110: When Feelings and Truth Collide - Jeremiah 17:9; Psalm 119:160; John 17:17 NIV
Welcome to episode 110 of The Seeds of Transformation Podcast. I'm your host Dr. Allma Johnson. Today we're stepping into a quiet but critical tension in the life of every believer: What happens when what I feel does not match what God has said? Feelings are powerful. They are real. They influence our decisions, our reactions, even our theology. But Scripture teaches us that while emotions are part of being human, they are not meant to be our authority. This episode is about learning how to honor emotion without being ruled by it — and how to let truth anchor us when feelings shift. Let us begin. Episode 109: Walking Away From Gossip Like a Believer - Proverbs 16:28; Ephesians 4:29 NIV
Hey there and welcome to The Seeds of Transformation Podcast. I'm your host, Dr. Allma Johnson. Today, for episode 109, we're addressing something that rarely feels dramatic — but yet deeply shapes Christian witness: conversation. Not public controversy. Not open conflict. But the quiet exchange of words when someone is not present. Scripture is not silent about speech. It teaches us that maturity in Christ is revealed in how we talk — especially when it would be easy to participate, speculate, or share. This episode is about learning to step back, to guard our mouths, and to choose words that reflect transformation. Let us begin. Episode 108: Breaking Strongholds of the Mind - 2 Corinthians 10:3–5 NIV
Today on The Seeds of Transformation Podcast with Dr. Allma Jonson, we are approaching a passage that is often quoted — but not always carefully understood, 2 Corinthians 10. In this text, Paul speaks about warfare, strongholds, and taking thoughts captive. But he is not describing dramatic spiritual theatrics. He is addressing something far more precise: the battle over truth. Before we apply this to our personal thought life, we must understand what Paul meant in context — and then allow Scripture to examine us honestly. For further understaning, read What does it mean to take every thought captive (2 Corinthians 10:5) from GotQuestions.org. This conversation is about alignment. Alignment between what we think… and what God has revealed, what God has spoken. Let us begin. Episode 107: The Soil of the Heart - Luke 8:11-15 NIV
Welcome to The Seeds of Transformation Podcast. I'm your host, Dr. Allma. Today's podcast is not about surface change. It is not about trends, reactions, or emotional highs. It is about deep, lasting transformation — the kind that begins beneath what people see. Before breakthrough, before restoration, before spiritual warfare, something more foundational must be addressed: the condition of the heart. Jesus teaches a parable; a simple story used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson, as told by Jesus in the Gospels in Luke 8:1-15 NIV that the Word of God is like a seed. The difference in outcome is never the seed — it is always the soil. So today, we are not examining culture. We are not examining other people. We are examining ourselves. What kind of soil are we? Let us begin. Episode 106: Does God Get Tired of Forgiving Me?
Have you ever prayed the same prayer again… and felt embarrassed while saying it? Have you ever confessed the same sin and thought, "Lord…it's me again?" Maybe you didn't say it out loud, but somewhere deep inside you wondered, Are You tired of me? Are You weary of hearing this again? Am I exhausting Your mercy? If we're honest, most believers wrestle with that question at some point. Because we love the Lord. We don't want to sin. And yet we find ourselves fighting the same battles, sometimes quietly, sometimes repeatedly. Today we're not going to answer that question with sentiment. We're not going to soften it. And we're not going to exaggerate it either. We're going to open Scripture. We're going to look at who the Lord actually is. And we're going to ask, biblically and honestly Does the Lord get tired of forgiving the one who comes back to Him? If you've ever felt ashamed. If you've ever felt weary in your struggle. If you've ever wondered whether you've tested His patience too far. Stay with me. Let's walk through this together. Episode 105: Learning to Receive: Why God's Love Feels Harder Than We Admit
Hey there and welcome to episode #105 of The Seeds of Transformation Podcast with Dr. Allma Johnson. I want to start today with something simple, but honest. Have you ever had someone give you a compliment, and instead of receiving it, you immediately thought of everything you could've done better? Yeah. Me too. And somewhere along the way, I started wondering, Do we do the same thing with God? Not correcting Him. Not questioning His character. But quietly struggling to receive what He says is already true. Scripture tells us plainly: "God is love." Not a slogan. Not a feeling. Not a personality trait. God is love. So if that's true — and it is — why is accepting God's love sometimes harder than believing it? Why do we hesitate? Why do we qualify it? Why do we feel like we need to do more, be more, fix more… before we can rest in it? Today, we're going to walk this out carefully — not emotionally, not casually — but in biblical truth, sound doctrine, and absolute love. We'll talk about: What God's love actually is What it is not Why grace doesn't cancel repentance And why receiving God's love doesn't leave us unchanged — it transforms us So take a breath. Lay performance aside. And let's open the Word together. Because this conversation isn't about lowering truth, it's about finally trusting the love that truth reveals. Let's begin. Episode 104: Come to Me: Christ, Rest, and the End of Striving
Welcome to The Seeds of Transformation Podcast with Dr. Allma Johnson Episode #104: Come to Me is for the weary. Not the lazy. Not the disengaged. But the sincere believer who loves God, wants to be faithful, and yet feels exhausted in soul. We live in a culture that calls this burnout, or "quiet quitting." But Scripture speaks more clearly. It exposes not just tired bodies, but heavy yokes, misplaced striving, and lives lived apart from rest in Christ. Before we go any further, we need to be clear and faithful to God's Word. The Sabbath command, given as the seventh day, was part of the Old Covenant with Israel. It was real, it was holy, and it pointed forward to something greater. In the New Testament, that "something greater" is not a day, it is a Person. Jesus Christ fulfilled the Law. He is Lord of the Sabbath. And according to Scripture, true rest is now entered daily by faith through Him, not by calendar observance, but by trusting His finished work. Today, we will open the Bible and let God speak for Himself. No trends. No psychology. No opinions. Only Scripture. Only truth. If you are tired, burdened, or quietly wondering how long you can keep going, this episode is an invitation. Jesus still says, "Come to Me…and you will find rest for your souls." Let's do this y'all. Episode 102: "Take Me Home" and HomeBound by Writer, Speaker and Song Writer Titiana Paige
Hey there and welcome to episode 102 of The Seeds of Transformation Podcast with Dr. Allma Johnson. Y'all, there are songs you listen to… and then there are songs that listen to you. "Take Me Home" by Titania Paige is one of those songs for me. From the very first listen, it didn't just move through my ears—it went straight to my spirit. It reminded me that no matter how far we wander, how tired we get, or how heavy life feels, home is still possible. Not the polished version of us. Not the figured-it-all-out version. Just us, honest, surrendered, and willing. And what you're hearing in the background right now, that's all her. That's "Take Me Home." Let it sit with you for a moment. There's a lyric that absolutely captured my heart: "Drive honesty and let Your healing work begin." Because that's where healing actually starts, doesn't it? Not in pretending. Not in performing. But in honesty. In letting God search us, sit with us, and gently lead us back to the place where we belong. This song gave me a greater appreciation for the truth that coming home to God isn't about shame, it's about safety. It's about being welcomed, restored, and loved fully. So get ready, y'all, because today we're joined by the woman behind the words and the worship. She is a Writer, Speaker, and Songwriter, and her voice carries both truth and tenderness. Episode 101: Can We Balance Our Faith? Or Is Faith Meant to Tip the Scales?
I want to name something quietly sitting in the room. We talk a lot about balance, especially when it comes to faith. Balance sounds wise. Safe. Reasonable. But sometimes what we call balance is really just distance we've learned to defend. This episode isn't about answers you can rush through. It's about slowing down long enough to ask what faith is actually asking of us. If you've been here for conversations like Cycles: Wounds That Repeat, Are You Becoming What Hurt You? (Episode 80) or Covenant and Contract – The Unbreakable Promise of God, then you already know (Episode 92)—this one builds on that same foundation. Listen with an open heart. Not to fix anything. Just to notice what rises when faith isn't managed, but surrendered. Episode 100: Finding Our God Given Features, but how?
Welcome to The Seeds of Transformation Podcast with Dr. Allma Johnson! Recently, I noticed something small that ended up revealing something much bigger. I returned to something I've had for years and discovered features that were always there, but I hadn't fully noticed or used them. And it made me wonder what might be true about our own lives. In this episode, we're talking about Finding Our Features, the God-given abilities, instincts, and strengths already built into us, and what happens when we slow down enough to recognize and honor what God has already done. Episode 99: Faithfulness In The Ordinary
We're just a few days away from a new year, and a lot of voices are already telling us what needs to change. New habits. New goals. New vision. But Scripture doesn't put the weight on novelty, it puts the weight on faithfulness. Today for episode #99, we're talking about obedience in the ordinary. What it means to remain rooted when nothing feels new, when God's work feels quiet, and when faithfulness itself becomes an act of courage. This is Faithfulness in the Ordinary. There's a lot about this season that's meant to feel joyful, warm, meaningful and full of light. And yet, for so many people, there's another layer beneath the surface. Quiet pressure. It's not about shame or numbers or getting everything right. It's about peace. It's about telling the truth without pretending. And it's about remembering that our worth, our faith, and our joy are not measured by what we can spend or provide. So wherever you're listening from, take a breath. Episode 97: Why We Call God Father
Today on episode 97, we're talking about a word many of us say often, but don't always know how to feel about. Father. For some, it's comforting. For others, it's complicated. And for many, it carries more weight than we realize. Why does the Bible call God Father? Is that connected to our earthly fathers, or completely different? And why is it sometimes easier to trust God as Creator or Savior than to speak to Him as Father? This isn't a theological lecture. It's a conversation. One rooted in Scripture, honesty, and the very real places where faith and life intersect. If calling God "Father" has ever felt hard, confusing, or even painful, this episode is for you. Episode 96: Making Time for the Present
Time is moving fast, faster than any of us want to admit. And if we're honest, we're speeding through the very moments we once prayed for. But Jesus never rushed. He slowed down. He noticed people. He lived present, because the moment itself was holy. Maybe the reason life feels empty, even when it's full, is because we're gripping the gift but missing the Giver. So today, pause. Breathe. Be here. The greatest gift isn't the blessing in your hands, it's Jesus Christ standing with you in this moment. This what Episode 96 is about today, being present, and "Making Time for the Present." Episode 95: love Is the Currency When Unconditional Love Is Unknown
Welcome to episode 95 of The Seeds of Transformation Podcast with Dr. Allma Johnson! I'm so glad you're here with me today. I want you to take a breath, right where you are. Because today, we're going into a deep place. A real place. For some of us, a painful place. But I promise you, it's also going to be a healing place. Today we're talking about something God has been dealing with me about, something that affects every relationship we touch, something that affects how we pray, how we think, how we see ourselves, how we interpret God, how we show up in the world. The topic is this: "Love is the currency when unconditional love is unknown." When we don't know unconditional love, real love, God's love, we end up paying for affection, paying for attention, paying for affirmation, paying for belonging. Not with money, but with pieces of ourselves. With our peace. Our identity. Our bodies. Our boundaries. Our gifts. Our silence. Our self-worth. And we don't even realize we're doing it. Episode 94: Emotional Neglect: The Silent Abuse No One Talks About in a Loud World
Today's message, episode 94, is one we don't talk about enough, because it's not dramatic, it's not loud, it's not obvious, and it's not always visible. Today we're talking about emotional neglect, the abuse that doesn't yell, doesn't hit, doesn't threaten, but damages the soul more deeply than we realize. We're talking about the pain of being: surrounded by people but still unseen in a room full of voices but never heard in relationships where presence is there but connection is absent showing up for everyone while no one shows up for you This is so common that many Christians don't even know they've been living with emotional neglect for years. But God sees it.God cares. And today, the Lord is still restoring things that emotional neglect tried to steal. Episode 93: The Age of Gaslighting: God Is Not the Author of Confusion
Today's episode is one the Holy Spirit has been pressing on our land for quite sometime. We're in a time where confusion is loud, truth is blurry, and emotional manipulation is everywhere, from relationships to workplaces, from culture to social media, even inside some churches. But the Word of God cuts through all of that. "For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace." (1 Corinthians 14:33 NKJV) If confusion is showing up in your life, God didn't write that chapter. Someone else did. And today, we're going to expose it, lovingly, truthfully, biblically, so you can reclaim your clarity, your peace, and the truth God gave you. Welcome to episode 90 of The Seeds of Transformation Podcast with Dr. Allma Johnson, where we step into a story that is as raw as it is redemptive. My guest, Rochelle, has walked through a valley many could never imagine, a life-shattering accusation against her husband, the weight of whispers, the storm of shattered trust, and the long shadows of judgment. Yet, through it all, she discovered something unshakable: the grace of God that meets us in our most fragile places Her book, The Journey of Grace, is not just a memoir, it's a testament to what hope looks like when it trembles, what love means when it's tested, and what faith feels like when it's the only thing left to hold even after an imprisoned husband for the same crime twice. Today, we'll walk with Rochelle through the storms, through the house built on rumors, through fragile hope, and into the kind of grace that reshapes a life from the inside out. Episode 89: What Mean These Stones? - Bridging Generations in God's Covenant
A few weeks ago, I visited the Museum of the Bible and stood in awe before a 14-foot showcase of stones layered from Benjamin to Reuben. It instantly brought me to Joshua 4, when God commanded Israel to take twelve stones from the Jordan River as a memorial of His mighty hand. The picture I'll be sharing shows the stones in this order: Benjamin, Joseph (Ephraim), Issachar, Asher, Gad, Naphtali, Dan, Judah, Levi, Simeon, and Reuben. In episode 89 of The Seeds of Transformation Podcast with Dr. Allma Johnson, we'll walk through each stone in succession, uncovering the meaning of the tribes, their lineage, and why the Lord commanded these stones as a memorial. Together, we'll see how this connects the generations then and now, bridging the gap with true biblical doctrine and faith that endures. Episode 87: The God Who Is Not The God We Make
Welcome to episode 87 of The Seeds of Transformation Podcast with Dr. Allma Johnson. Today we step into a conversation that shakes the foundations of how many people think about God. Too often, we try to shape God into an image that fits our comfort, our expectations, or even our culture. But the true and living God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, is not the God we make. He is who He says He is. In episode 87, we'll explore what it means to know the God who reveals Himself in truth, not the God of our imagination, and why this distinction matters more now than ever. Bonus Episode: Government Shutdowns - Then and Now
****Historical Context (Not Biblical)**** The idea of "four emperors" after Nero is not stated in Scripture. Historically, following Nero's death in 68 CE, Rome entered what is known as the "Year of the Four Emperors," when Galba, Otho, Vitellius, and Vespasian each briefly held power. The Bible uses the term "kings" in prophecy (such as in Daniel and Revelation), but it does not specifically mention Nero or these emperors by name. Any connection between them is interpretation, not direct biblical prophecy. Hey there and welcome to The Seeds of Transformation Podcast with Dr. Allma Johnson bonus episode! Quick question for you: when you hear the words government shutdown, what do you think of? Probably today's news, right? Leaders can't agree, bills don't pass, and everything feels stuck. But did you know the Bible is full of shutdowns too? Egypt collapsing under the plagues. Babylon falling in a single night. Israel in the days of the Judges when, as Scripture says, everyone did what was right in their own eyes. And here's the big question: which one of those shutdowns looks most like what we're going through today? Stick with me, because in this episode we're going to walk through history, Scripture, and prophecy, and I'll show you why every human government may shut down, but God's Kingdom never does. Episode 82: What Does the Bible Say About Israel and the End Times?
Welcome to episode 82 of The Seeds of Transformation Podcast with Dr. Allma Johnson. I'm Dr. Allma, and I'm so glad you've joined me. Recently, many people have asked: What is happening in the world? How does it connect to the Bible? What about Israel? And what about us? So today, we're discussing these topics with the main question? What Does the Bible Say About Israel and the End Times? So, the Bible tells us that Israel is central to God's plan, but the whole world is included. Every nation, generation, and individual is part of God's story. The same Word that speaks about Israel's restoration and future also speaks about the nations, global events, and, most importantly, salvation through Jesus Christ. This podcast is designed to help you understand: Israel's past, present, and future role Modern events in light of biblical prophecy Detailed verse-by-verse explanations of Revelation 6–19 (seals, trumpets, bowls) Daniel's prophecy, including the "week" and the abomination of desolation Israel's restoration, global conflict, and the Antichrist Christ's return and kingdom How prophecy applies to our lives today How anyone can be saved through Jesus Christ We will read scripture directly from the ESV Bible, and I will explain it carefully, in simple terms, so there is no confusion or ambiguity. Episode 80: Cycles: Wounds That Repeat, Are You Becoming What Hurt You?
Welcome to the Seeds of Transformation Podcast with Dr. Allma Johnson. Today we're diving into something deep, real, and raw: the story of David, and the cycle that almost swallowed him whole. This is not just a story tucked away in the Old Testament. No, this is about you and me. About what happens when wounds go unhealed, when pain gets stuffed down instead of poured out before the Lord. It's about what happens when what hurt us becomes the thing we hurt others with. So pull up a seat, family, because we're going all the way in. Let's talk about this today on episode 80. Episode 78: God Commanded Time and Chance - Ecclesiastes 9:10-12 (NKJV)
About a month ago, I had the honor of speaking at an organization filled with up-and-coming movers and shakers, leaders in the making. I spoke to them about something many overlook: Chance. But as I prepared, the Lord opened up the word in a way I didn't expect. He led me straight to Ecclesiastes 9:11, and really, verses 10 through 12, where it says, "Time and chance happeneth to them all." So, what is time and chance , and why does it happen to them all? Well, it's not random. It's God-given. The Hebrew word Paga reveals that these aren't coincidences , they're God-orchestrated collisions, intentional intersections of purpose and timing. Today, I want to share what the Lord revealed in that moment and how it applies to your journey right now. Let's talk about it today on episode 78. Episode 77, whew y'all, it's one of those sacred ones. Today, I want to talk to you, because this conversation is intimate, it's personal, and it's foundational for every believer. We're diving into the question: "What's in your oil? "We often hear about anointing oil. We see it in church. It's used during healing services, baby dedications, weddings, and ordinations. But do we really understand why? What does the Bible say about the oil? Why does God use it? And what does it mean when we say we need to keep our lamps full? Episode 70: When the Fire Fell - "This Is That" Joel 2:28-29 (KJV) - Pentecost Week Two
In week two of our Pentecost Series, we're stepping into Acts Chapter 2, the glorious event that everything changed. Tongues of fire. A rushing mighty wind. Power. Purpose. Pentecost. This episode unpacks what happened when the Holy Ghost fell upon them, and why the Upper Room wasn't the destination, but the launchpad. When the Fire Fell - "This Is That" on the Seeds of Transformation Podcast with Dr. Allma Johnson....because this event didn't end in Acts. Holy Spirit is still HERE! Apostle Paul and Tongues: 1 Corinthians 14:33 (KJV) "For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints." In 1 Corinthians 14:33, Paul gives a firm apostolic correction to the Corinthian church's misuse of spiritual gifts, declaring that "God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints." The Greek word for "confusion" (akatastasia) points to disorder, chaos, and instability, which is exactly what was happening as people were speaking in tongues and prophesying out of turn, creating spiritual commotion instead of edification. Paul reminds them in verse 33 that true prophetic utterances do not override human will or decency, and true prophetic utterance is subject to order, judgment, and interpretation. God's Spirit always brings peace (eirēnē), not just calm but God-given harmony, structure, and holiness. This standard of reverent order isn't optional or cultural, it applies to all churches of the saints. If confusion reigns, the flesh or a counterfeit is at work, not the Holy Ghost. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there will be clarity, discipline, and sanctified power, not spiritual theatrics.
