Originally born in South Korea and now based in San Francisco, the self titled 'Disco enthusiast' 3kelves sprung to fame after winning Disclosure's remix competition and has since racked up an extensive catalogue of originals, remixes and edits on labels such as Lisztomania, Sundries and Toucan Sounds. Nipped and tucked funk and potent Disco kits are his tools and over the years he's become a past-master at soundtracking those loose, unbridled dance floor moments that is also the True Romance comfort zone. Here, he teams up with vocalist Hannah Glass who breathes some beautifully fresh air into the record. Her bright, zestful voice rubbing shoulders with his tumbling bass lines and plump, punchy drums. The resultant vibe drills right down to the beating heart of Disco - sassy, high impact, deliciously fun. Not to be missed!'

'Next up on Tensnake's True Romance is a collaborative single from label favourites Tonend and Argentinian producer COLAU. Between them, they have amassed bright and sunny catalogues of House and Disco that have touched labels such as Lisztomania, Tropical Disco, Love & Loops and WAREBLUES. 'Ropeburn' is a cool, collected cut that kicks off with a ripe, rounded kick set booming under springy percussion as a red carpet is rolled for a deliciously groovy guitar lick and a propulsive, percolating bass line. String stabs jut and sonics swoon toward a breakdown that bursts into a sound that's equal parts kinetic and cosy; a gentle drop of ecstasy rich with rosey chords, golden portamento synths and beautifully charming tones...one for dancers and lovers alike!'

'Next up on True Romance is a single from 2 West Coast artists: Cabriolet Recordings and Higher Spirit affiliate Dynamique and the nifty remixer Sandy Groove. Between LA and Las Vegas - the duo combine forces and deliver a dance floor scorcher bearing all the hallmarks of a True Romance classic. 'Can't Let You Go' is a giddy stick of dynamite forged from a neatly trimmed soul sample which is propelled into orbit by thick-set drums and plenty of swooning filters. The kick steers the ship with the melody ducking as it lands making the whole record throb with a heady intensity that'll have bass bins bursting at the seams. Combine this with a limber bass line, cascading rises and ecstatic drops and you've got a DJs dream - destined to be a dance floor favourite.'

'Rome based Kocleo makes a welcome return to the label, adding to a shimmering back catalogue with 'Chasing Ashes' - a poised 2-tracker that features the elegant vocals of Claire. The title track kicks things off with a colourful braid of tropical percussion that generates a magnetic pull as it bubbles and blobs along. The track is deftly balanced, thick in all the right places with a feint hint of the deliciously bizarre. It sets tone and tension without trying too hard as it percolates slowly towards a wide open breakdown, giving Claire's mellifluous vocal space to glow, creating a warm and gooey centre in the middle of an exceptionally charming late warm up DJ tool. 'Hard To Pretend' follows up releases for Robsoul, Too Many Rules and Downtown Underground and mines right down to the core of the True Romance sound as it marries together amorous chimes, bittersweet vocals and giddy, ecstatic piano chords. In true Corco style, the production feels unchained and expressive and the result is entirely magnetic. Propelled with characterful lo-fi drums that provide added warmth, depth and power, the track gleefully gathers momentum while synth sweeps and flourishes add a deliciously sun-drenched seasoning to a track with summer anthem written all over it.'

'Milan producer Steal Tapes makes a welcome return to True Romance, following up records for Disco Fever and MINE IS YOURS and adding further facets to a continually diversifying sound. 'Blues' is a cut of raw, reduced House Music stripped right back to its most potent ingredients. Ripe and well rounded drums bump straight out of the gates, platforming a snake hips bass line and choked organ stabs that form a Brawther-esque groove that'll grip the floor from the get go. A soul soaked vocal glides into the mix and immediately elevates the mood, confidently notching it up to match the energy of jubilant, open-air dance floors while a gnarled, sunken acid line maintains the track's grit and punch. This is classic sounding House that perfectly balances function and fun'.

2024 saw German producer Tom Breu pay homage to the White Island with his re-working of a Chris Rhea's Balearic classic 'On The Beach'. Breu's club-ready version breathed a fresh, balmy air into the original whilst also allowing its identity to remain intact; his subtle vocals adding a respectful twist to the iconic melody. Now, much to Breu's delight - True Romance welcome in venerated legend Rodriguez Jr. for his own reimagining of this classic; a challenge that the F-Communications, Crosstown Rebels and Poker Flat affiliate tackles with aplomb. His take is as serene and crystalline as the Med as it gently unfolds behind kinetic stabs and rich, stirring piano chords. The drums are precise but delicate, providing a steady ballast while the energy gradually courses onwards and upwards. Eventually the track's hook blooms, at which point synth lines and vocals weave together in a beautiful tapestry - one that in Breu's words 'captures the essence of iconic beach destinations like Ibiza, Mykonos or Tulum - perfect for hot summer nights and warm winter escapes'.
