The Deliciousness of Revelation & the Energy You Carry | DIVO-Ted Talks

Sometimes the shift doesn’t happen because life changes first.Sometimes life changes because you finally stop feeding the heaviness that’s been shaping your days. What if manifestation is less about controlling reality… and more about becoming available to it?Quote from the Episode:“You are way more powerful than you’re giving yourself credit for.”DESCRIPTION:There are moments when you suddenly realize the version of yourself you’ve been living inside no longer fits the energy you want to carry forward. Not because you’re broken. Not because you failed. But because your attention has been feeding patterns that no longer feel alive. In this episode, Nicholas reflects on shifting out of heaviness, redirecting energy, manifestation, alignment, Ayurveda, and the deeply human relationship between attention and reality. Through metaphor, humor, nervous system awareness, and lived experience, he explores what happens when we begin leveraging our energy differently — not forcing life, but moving in relationship with it more consciously. This conversation also dives into manifestation beyond clichés and magical thinking. Nicholas explores the possibility that thoughts, emotions, alignment, and embodied wellbeing shape what we attract, recognize, and become available for. Through stories, analogies, and spiritual reflection, this talk invites listeners to reconnect with their creative power while holding life with a softer grip.If you’ve been feeling stuck, energetically heavy, creatively dormant, or disconnected from possibility, this episode offers a reminder that the energy you carry may be quietly shaping more than you realize.A Map of Wisdom:Here are some of the places we go together in this talk:✦ Redirecting energy instead of fighting yourself✦ Ayurveda, kapha energy, and emotional heaviness✦ Why revelation sometimes matters more than perfection✦ Manifestation as alignment rather than control✦ The relationship between attention, intention, and reality✦ Learning to leverage your energy like movement and flow✦ Holding desires lightly so life can meet you naturallyMARKERS ON THE PATH:(00:15) — Feeling brighter, lighter, and more energized(02:10) — Leveraging energy differently to create change(04:22) — The “deliciousness” of revelation and discovery(06:05) — Knowing yourself, your habits, and your reflexes(07:40) — How thoughts, feelings, and alignment shape reality(10:15) — Manifestation beyond skepticism and magical thinking(13:08) — The humor and unpredictability of the universe(15:20) — Magnetizing experiences through energetic alignment(17:00) — Why wellbeing affects what can come into your lifeSOMETHING TO SIT WITH:What energy have you been practicing so consistently that it has quietly started becoming your reality?Take one minute today to notice where your attention naturally goes when your mind is unoccupied.A RESTORATIVE STEP:Without judgment, ask yourself:“Is this attention feeding the life I actually want to grow?”Then gently redirect your focus toward one feeling, thought, or possibility that feels more alive.Stay Connected:🌐 DIVOWellness.com📬 Subscribe to Newsletter📍 DIVO Wellness — Greensboro, NC— 🧡 DIVO Wellness — Movement is the Way

The Season of Reawakening & the Boundaries That Set Us Free | DIVO-Ted Talks

Sometimes the exhaustion you feel is not failure.Sometimes it’s simply winter still living in your body while spring is asking you to begin again. There’s a difference between forcing yourself forward… and slowly reawakening into clarity.Quote from the Episode:“There’s nothing wrong with you. And there’s nothing wrong with being exactly where you’re at.”DESCRIPTION:There are seasons in life where everything feels dormant. Quiet. Slower than we want it to be. And yet beneath that stillness, something is preparing itself to return. In this reflective Easter Sunday conversation, Nicholas explores the energy of spring, resurrection, boundaries, accountability, and the deeply human process of emerging from emotional and energetic winter. Through yoga philosophy, seasonal awareness, Ayurveda, and lived experience, this episode becomes less about productivity and more about remembering how to move honestly with life instead of against it.This talk also explores the relationship between boundaries and freedom — not as walls against other people, but as clear agreements that help relationships breathe. Nicholas reflects on nervous system awareness, seasonal cycles, self-knowledge, restorative energy, and why clarity begins when we finally slow down enough to notice where we actually are.If you’ve been feeling emotionally tired, uncertain, overstretched, or caught between rest and renewal, this episode offers a grounded reminder: you are not broken for moving seasonally.A Map of Wisdom:Here are some of the places we go together in this talk:✦ The emotional energy of spring and resurrection✦ Why boundaries are about relationships, not punishment✦ The nervous system wisdom hidden inside seasonal living✦ Winter as a time of inwardness, restoration, and hibernation✦ Reawakening slowly instead of forcing momentum✦ Ayurveda, kapha energy, and transforming heaviness into movement✦ The freedom that comes from knowing where you actually areMARKERS ON THE PATH:(00:00) — Easter energy, renewal, and showing up authentically(03:12) — Spring as resurrection beyond religion(05:20) — Finding wisdom across spiritual traditions(07:48) — Why holidays soften people and create connection(09:15) — Boundaries, accountability, and shared agreements(13:02) — Emerging from winter and reestablishing your energy(16:40) — Ayurveda, kapha, and moving from heaviness into motion(19:10) — Yoga as a practice of clarity and honest self-awareness(22:05) — Responding consciously instead of reacting automaticallySOMETHING TO SIT WITH:Where in your life are you trying to force summer energy… when your body, mind, or spirit may still be asking for spring?Take two quiet minutes today without music, scrolling, or conversation.A RESTORATIVE STEP:Simply sit and ask yourself:“What season am I honestly in right now?”Notice what your body says before your mind answers.Stay Connected:🌐 DIVOWellness.com📬 Subscribe to Newsletter📍 DIVO Wellness — Greensboro, NC— 🧡 DIVO Wellness — Movement is the Way

Manifestation Starts With Where Your Attention Goes | DIVO- Ted Talks

When you keep staring at what you do not want, life can start to feel like it keeps handing you more of the same.⸻Quote from the Episode“We are absolutely in charge of our destiny. What we are not in charge of is the details of our destiny.”⸻DescriptionAttention is powerful. Sometimes too powerful for our own comfort. I caught myself focusing on things I did not want, then wondering why those same feelings kept showing up again and again. And the honest answer was simple. My focus was feeding the experience. The more familiar we become with attention, intention, and energy, the more we can work with life instead of fighting every bounce along the way. Like Plinko, there are other people, places, timing, and forces involved. The drop matters, but so do all the pegs that shape the landing.⸻A Map of WisdomHere are some of the places we go together in this talk:✦ Why focus is the hidden engine of manifestation✦ The Plinko principle of placing your order✦ Feelings over details, every time✦ How energy of attention, intention, and retention compound✦ Where people sink in the mud, and how to step out✦ Why your greatest good is bound up with everyone else's⸻Markers on the Path(00:00) - Season Three, Energy, and Showing Up Clear(01:27) - Spring, Kapha, Pollen, and Feeling Heavy(03:15) - Attention, Intention, and What Keeps Expanding(04:26) - Feeling Into What You Actually Want to Create(08:22) - Placing the Order Without Controlling the Details⸻Something to Sit WithWhere has your attention been feeding a feeling you do not actually want to keep living in?⸻A Restorative Step:Take sixty seconds right now to sit still, breathe, and really feel into one energy or essence you want more of like ease or freedom.__________Stay Connected:🌐 DIVOWellness.com📬 Subscribe to Newsletter📍 DIVO Wellness — Greensboro, NC— 🧡 DIVO Wellness — Movement is the Way

Find the Thing That Makes You Feel Alive | DIVO- Ted Talks

You are working so hard to pay the bills that you've forgotten what actually fuels you.⸻Quote from the Episode“Find the thing that comes naturally to you and makes you a better person for doing it.”⸻DescriptionWe are creator beings. That is what I keep coming back to in this one. We are meant to take what's around us and make something with it. Solutions, art, enlightenment, new spaces. Creation. And yet most of us are spending our life force working for somebody else, then trying to use what's left to build the thing we actually came here to build. That's a lot. That's also the reality. So this episode is really an invitation. Find your thing. Maybe it's not a podcast. Maybe it's art, or fixing things, or raising a kid who is going to change the world. Maybe you are the linchpin and you don't even know it. Find the outlet that fills you instead of just numbs you. Lessen the load where you can. And let yourself become more than you were before you started.⸻A Map of WisdomHere are some of the places we go together in this talk:✦ Creator Beings Trading Life Force✦ The Outlet That Doesn't Feel Like Work✦ Recharging Your Heart and Mind✦ Knowing Yourself Through Creation✦ The Force Within You⸻Markers on the Path(00:42) - Welcome to Season Three(02:21) - Why I Do This Even Without Listeners(03:19) - Messages in a Bottle(04:42) - Trading Life Force for a Paycheck(05:54) - Maybe You Are the Linchpin(06:59) - May the Force Be With You(09:25) - Finding What Actually Recharges You⸻Something to Sit WithWhat is the thing you would still do, even if no one ever saw it, paid you for it, or noticed?⸻A Restorative Step:Take sixty seconds right now to sit quietly and notice what activity or conversation makes time disappear and leaves you feeling more expanded and alive than when you started.__________Stay Connected:🌐 DIVOWellness.com📬 Subscribe to Newsletter📍 DIVO Wellness — Greensboro, NC— 🧡 DIVO Wellness — Movement is the Way

Your Life Force Is the Elixir Within You | DIVO- Ted Talks

Your real power comes from being connected to who you truly are, not from chasing the next goal, perfect pose, win, or outside achievement.⸻Quote from the Episode“May the force be with you. May your ability to connect via your unique expression of consciousness to life force, to the energy that breathe you into this existence so that you can recognize your purpose…”⸻DescriptionThere is a force moving through life, but I don’t experience it as something outside of us. I experience it as something we line up with. Some days feel magical, like everything is conspiring for your good. Other days feel like one hard thing after another, and once your mind gets caught in that spin, it can start pulling more of the same toward you.May the 4th felt like the perfect doorway into this last episode of season two. One full year of consistently recording brought me back to this question. What is the force from a yogic perspective? For me, it comes back to movement, self knowledge, desire, and the energy that fuels us when we are connected to what we truly want.⸻A Map of WisdomHere are some of the places we go together in this talk:✦ The Force You’re Already Part Of✦ When the Spin Starts Taking Over✦ Lining Up With What You Truly Desire✦ Getting to Know Yourself Through Movement✦ Burning Away What Blocks Your Greatest Self✦ Remembering Who You Really Are⸻Markers on the Path(00:00) - May the Force Be With You(02:10) - Why Movement Reveals the Force(04:34) - Connecting to Your Deepest Desire(06:42) - The Elixir Already Inside You(09:06) - Shedding What Holds You Back⸻Something to Sit WithWhat would today feel like if you trusted the force is already with you because you're connected to what you truly desire?⸻A Restorative Step:Take sixty seconds right now, sit still, place a hand on your heart, and quietly ask yourself what you truly desire in this moment.__________Stay Connected:🌐 DIVOWellness.com📬 Subscribe to Newsletter📍 DIVO Wellness — Greensboro, NC— 🧡 DIVO Wellness — Movement is the Way

Unexpected Ways Life Delivers Desires | DIVO- Ted Talks

Sometimes the exact thing you have been asking for arrives wrapped up in what feels like a total disaster.⸻Quote from the Episode“Life may not always deliver our greatest desires in the way that is most comfortable or the way we would have chosen, but it is always going to deliver it in the path of least resistance for you.”⸻DescriptionLife has a funny way of moving us. We set intentions. We imagine how something should happen. We write it down, picture it clearly, maybe even believe we are ready for it. Then life comes in sideways and forces the very change we kept putting off.Setting intentions can actually be demoralizing if you get super specific, because your reticular activating system gets so locked onto one detail that you miss the other amazing things right in front of you. The universe is going to take you via the path of least resistance to your greatest desires. The key is curating your state of being - using tools like yoga and Ayurveda to remedy those negative feelings quickly, so you can become a magnet for your highest and best.⸻A Map of WisdomHere are some of the places we go together in this talk:✦ Life's challenges often lead to unexpected opportunities.✦ Acceptance is crucial in navigating difficult situations.✦ Setting intentions is powerful, but flexibility allows for greater possibilities.✦ A positive mindset helps attract more positive experiences.⸻Markers on the Path(00:00) - Season Three, Momentum, and What Comes Next(02:22) - When Life Forces the Thing You Avoided(04:40) - The Problem With Getting Too Specific(06:42) - Desire, Resistance, and the State You Practice⸻Something to Sit WithWhat if the very thing that feels like a setback right now is actually life clearing the path of least resistance to your greatest desire?⸻A Restorative Step:Take a couple minutes today to notice if you are locked onto one very specific outcome, and practice breathing out those rigid details to make room for whatever way life wants to deliver your desire.__________Stay Connected:🌐 DIVOWellness.com📬 Subscribe to Newsletter📍 DIVO Wellness — Greensboro, NC— 🧡 DIVO Wellness — Movement is the Way

What Meaning Are You Giving Your Life? | DIVO- Ted Talks

Sometimes the story you keep living inside is the very thing making your life feel smaller than it actually is.⸻Quote from the Episode“You are the meaning maker.”⸻DescriptionMeaning is a powerful thing because most of us don’t realize how much of it we are making all day long. We inherit meanings. We absorb them from culture, family, society, age, gender, success, failure, money, beauty, usefulness. Then one day we look around and think life itself is the thing holding us in place, when really we may be relating to life through a story we never stopped to question.A conversation with a client in Dublin opened this whole thing up for me. She was talking about being a woman of a certain age, and yet in the photos I saw, she looked radiant. Illuminated. Powerful. And there she was, telling me all the reasons she could not be what she already looked like she was becoming. Then I realized I do this too. We all do, in some way.Yoga and Ayurveda remind us that we are not passive inside the meaning of things. Ahamkara, the I am maker, is always assigning, naming, identifying, deciding. The chair can be something to sit in, or it can be something to stand on so you can change a light bulb. The object did not change. The meaning did. That is where our power starts to come back.⸻A Map of WisdomHere are some of the places we go together in this talk:✦ The Story You Keep Repeating✦ Arguing Against Your Own Radiance✦ You Are the Meaning Maker✦ Ahamkara and the I Am Maker✦ The Villain Can Become the Hero✦ When Life Feels Meaningless⸻Markers on the Path(00:00) - The Conversation That Opened the Door(02:16) - When We Argue Against Our Own Radiance(03:01) - You Are the Meaning Maker(07:03) - Life, Art, Theater, and Interpretation(09:28) - Ahamkara and the I Am Maker⸻Something to Sit WithWhat meaning have I been giving my life that might be asking to be questioned, softened, or remade?⸻A Restorative Step:Take a couple of mins and notice one label you’ve been carrying. Harness Your Gift, Don't Try To Control It | DIVO- Ted Talks

If working with your own gift feels like a fight, you might be confusing control with collaboration.⸻Quote from the Episode“Be authentic and know what the difference between control and collaboration is.”⸻DescriptionThere is a difference between forcing your gifts and learning how to work with them. Sometimes a skill, ability, or part of ourselves comes back into our life, and the real practice is knowing whether we are trying to control it, avoid it, or collaborate with it.This talk moves through authenticity, perfectionism, high standards, yoga, Ayurveda, and the right amount of effort. When we learn how to meet what is coming through us with awareness instead of force, the practice itself can become part of the healing.⸻A Map of WisdomHere are some of the places we go together in this talk:✦ Control Versus True Partnership✦ Control vs. Collaboration✦ Your Gift Wants To Be Shared✦ Yoga And Ayurveda At The Heart Of It✦ The Right Dose Is the Medicine⸻Markers on the Path(00:00) - Why Harnessing Got a Bad Name(01:27) - The Harness Is How You Communicate(03:48) - The Gift Is Meant To Be Shared(05:00) - High Standards Are Not Perfectionism(06:11) - Find Your Right Amount⸻Something to Sit WithWhere in your life are you trying to control a gift that's actually asking you to collaborate with it?⸻A Restorative Step:Take 60 seconds. Do What Feels Natural and Let Life Make Sense Later | DIVO Ted- Talks

Sometimes you don't need to force the answer, you need to return to what feels honest and take the next breath.⸻Quote from the Episode“Do the things that make sense to you, do the things that feel natural to you.”⸻DescriptionI’ve been thinking about what happens when we stop forcing ourselves to work in ways that were never really ours. For me, speaking feels natural. Writing can be there too, but the clearest things often come through when I’m talking, tuned into the moment, and letting the energy move without overworking it.That does not mean it is easy. It still takes care, honesty, and attention. But when we lean into what feels genuine, and let other people bring their gifts to the places where we are not as strong, everybody wins a little more. Then life keeps moving. Stress shows up. Timing gets strange. Meaning arrives later. So we breathe, chop wood, carry water, and do the task in front of us.⸻A Map of WisdomHere are some of the places we go together in this talk:✦ Leaning Into What Feels Natural✦ Stress That Sparks Creativity✦ Building Wins in Community✦ Chop Wood and Carry Water✦ Be Here Now With What's in Front of You⸻Markers on the Path(00:00) Leaning Into What You're Good At(01:48) Why Recording Feels More Natural(03:51) How Stress Pushes You to Create(05:52) What Forces Like the Hurricane Mean(08:37) You Are Here and You Are Alive⸻Something to Sit WithWhere are you making life harder by trying to work against what actually feels natural to you?⸻A Restorative Step:Choose one small task in front of you and do it slowly. Accepting That Things Are Always In Flux | DIVO- Ted Talks

When everything feels uncertain, the mind starts filling in details that may not even be true.⸻Quote from the Episode“Life is hard, but it is possible to be well and be free.”⸻DescriptionWhat kept coming up for me was how quickly we attach to a version of reality and start suffering over the details. We want something to mean what we hoped it meant. We want life to move in a certain direction. But things change. People change. Circumstances change. And sometimes peace comes from accepting what is true now, even when your gut is still telling you something deeper is there.People want a perfect method that guarantees the exact outcome they want, right on time. I do not think life works that way. Sometimes what you can imagine is real enough to feel, but that doesn't make it your present reality. So the work becomes sorting through what is possible, what is probable, what is true now, and how to stay honest with yourself in the middle of all of it.⸻A Map of WisdomHere are some of the places we go together in this talk:✦ Friction as Teacher✦ The Flux of People and Situations✦ Beyond Perfect Manifestation✦ Gut Instincts Meet Reality✦ Serenity in What You Cannot Change⸻Markers on the Path(00:00) The Friction I'm Feeling With My Environment(02:09) Attraction Rejection and the Space Between People(04:23) Why Perfect Manifesting Misses the Point(06:46) When You Read a Situation Wrong(08:58) Trusting Your Gut While Accepting What Is⸻Something to Sit WithWhere in your life are you suffering more from attachment to the details than from what is actually true right now?⸻A Restorative Step:Take 60 seconds and ask yourself, “What do I actually know is true right now, and what am I filling in from fear, desire, or uncertainty?” Then take one slow breath and let the facts stand on their own.__________Stay Connected:🌐 DIVOWellness.com📬 Subscribe to Newsletter📍 DIVO Wellness — Greensboro, NC— 🧡 DIVO Wellness — Movement is the Way

Grounded Reflections After "Project Hail Mary" | DIVO- Ted Talks

Trying to force certainty out of life will wear you out.⸻Quote from the Episode“Sometimes you just don't know what you don't know until you do, and then you act differently.”⸻DescriptionI found myself sitting with how hard relationships can be, how disorienting feelings can be, and how quickly the mind wants to turn sensation into story. Sometimes something feels deeply real in the body, but that still does not mean I get to decide what it is, what it should become, or what it means in this moment. That tension is part of being here. Part of being human. This one is really about learning how to stand inside uncertainty without collapsing into it. Feeling what is real. Letting life be challenging. Letting emotions move. And remembering that forcing an outcome is not the same thing as honoring what is true.⸻A Map of WisdomHere are some of the places we go together in this talk:✦ When life feels smaller than your soul knows it is✦ How feelings can be real without making the story true✦ Why relationships stir up attachment, hope, and projection✦ The human need for order when life feels disorienting✦ Standing in uncertainty without trying to force the ending⸻Markers on the Path(00:00) When Life Starts Feeling Too Small(02:22) Yoga, Complexity, and the Subtle World(04:29) Finding Your Feet on Uncertain Ground(07:22) When Feelings Meet Projection and Hope(09:43) Emotions, Attachment, and the Roots of Disease⸻Something to Sit WithWhat feeling is present for you right now and what story is your mind trying to build around it?⸻A Restorative Step:Take sixty seconds right now. You Heal Yourself: The Truth About Self-Healing | DIVO- Ted Talks

It can feel so powerless when you think only doctors or experts can fix what's going on in your body.⸻Quote from the Episode"The body heals itself. You heal yourself. Healers don't do it for you. They just take away the impediments that are preventing the body from doing itself."⸻DescriptionSometimes we forget that healing is not something handed to us from the outside. We can receive support, guidance, treatment, even surgery. But after all of that, the real healing still has to happen within us. The body remembers. The wisdom of nature remembers. And when we remove what is getting in the way, that wisdom can start doing what it already knows how to do.The whole point is to get back into harmony so your own intuition can take over again. You already know to drink water. You already know which foods pull you down when you are feeling a certain way. Sometimes you cannot hear it because there is too much noise. My hope is that this one gives you enough confidence to start listening again, and to work with a professional when you need to, without handing your power over to them.⸻A Map of WisdomHere are some of the places we go together in this talk:✦ When Homeostasis Starts Protecting the Disease✦ The Innate Intuition You Already Have✦ The Real Healer Is Within You✦ Your Body's Natural Detection System✦ Working With Healers the Right Way⸻Markers on the Path(00:00) The Book That Started This Whole Thing(01:30) The Six Stages and Where the Turn Back Points Live(02:27) When Your Body Starts Defending the Disease(03:30) How Cancer Learns to Hide(05:00) Why the Healer Only Removes the Impediments(06:01) Taking Charge Without Taking Drastic Measures⸻Something to Sit WithYou heal yourself. When Life Disturbs Your Peace, Come Back to Yourself | DIVO- Ted Talks

You felt the flood of emotion and then judged yourself for not being above it, and that judgment might be the real thing keeping you stuck.⸻Quote from the Episode"You are not what happens to you. You are who you know yourself to be."⸻DescriptionI've been sitting with this idea of disturbance lately. Disturbance in the sense of your inner flame being moved by outside forces. Wind comes through, the oxygen shifts, the flame flickers. That doesn't make it less of a flame. It's still burning. And I think most of us forget that when we're in the middle of it. We think the flickering is the failure. It's not.I landed on this image that just felt right. Rumble strips. You know the ones on the highway that shake you awake when you drift? They're there to redirect your attention. Maybe the hard moments in our lives are doing the same thing. Shaking us enough to notice where we've drifted so we can recalibrate and come back to what we actually want and need. That's awareness. That's the beginning of something real.⸻A Map of WisdomHere are some of the places we go together in this talk:✦ Feeling it does not mean I failed✦ I can be shaken and still be myself✦ Disturbance can bring me back✦ I am more than what happened to me✦ What I can do now still matters⸻Markers on the Path(00:00) The Morning After the Emotional Flood(01:15) Why Judging Yourself for Feeling Is Faulty Logic(03:00) Your Inner Light and What Disturbs It(04:15) Rumble Strips and the Gift of Redirection(05:54) The Puzzle Piece You Were Always Meant to Work On⸻Something to Sit WithWhat if the next disturbance you feel is actually a rumble strip meant to help you see what you truly need right now?⸻A Restorative Step:Next time you notice yourself getting disturbed pause for sixty seconds breathe and ask what this moment is redirecting your attention toward.__________Stay Connected:🌐 DIVOWellness.com📬 Subscribe to Newsletter📍 DIVO Wellness — Greensboro, NC— 🧡 DIVO Wellness — Movement is the Way

Distraction, Focus, and Finding the Middle | DIVO- Ted Talks

If every little thing pulls you out of yourself, the real struggle may not be distraction, but forgetting how to return.⸻Quote from the Episode“Purpose isn’t to be perfect. The purpose is to be conditioned for the fluctuations of life.”⸻DescriptionLife is full of distractions, and I don't think the goal is to avoid them completely. The real practice is learning how to come back. In this talk, I reflect on how even small interruptions can pull us out of the moment, and how practices like hot yoga can teach us to notice that and return with more awareness.Stress, adaptation, and wisdom are all part of this conversation. The purpose is not perfection, but becoming more steady through the natural fluctuations of life. Self care is often simpler than we make it, and yoga and Ayurveda can remind us how to stay present, grounded, and more connected to ourselves.⸻A Map of WisdomHere are some of the places we go together in this talk:✦ The gift hidden in distractions✦ Practicing with challenge builds resilience✦ Tapas and burning away what holds you back✦ Self care in its quiet everyday forms✦ Harmony between focus and distraction⸻Markers on the Path(00:00) When Something Small Breaks Your Focus(01:03) What Hot Yoga Taught Me About Attention(02:14) Why Hard Moments Can Refine You(03:00) Self Care Is Often More Ordinary Than We Think(05:52) Adaptation, Wisdom, and the Fluctuations of Life(06:46) Maybe You Are Not Broken, Maybe You Just Got Distracted⸻Something to Sit WithWhat if your next distraction is exactly what you need to practice coming back into the moment?⸻A Restorative Step:For the next 60 seconds, notice one thing that is pulling at your attention, take one slow breath, and gently bring your awareness back to where your body is right now.__________Stay Connected:🌐 DIVOWellness.com📬 Subscribe to Newsletter📍 DIVO Wellness — Greensboro, NC— 🧡 DIVO Wellness — Movement is the Way

How to Stay Centered in the Political Divide | DIVO- Ted Talks

Feeling completely caught in the political divide and like nothing makes sense anymore?⸻Quote from the Episode"It's not your job to make other people see. It is your job to be you. That's it. I am. I am that I am. Period."⸻DescriptionWhen I sat with a client conversation about the political divide, what really stood out to me was how often both sides are feeling the same things, even when the details are different. That’s part of what makes this moment feel so tense, so reactive, and so hard to sort through. What I keep coming back to is, when the world gets louder, the practice is to return to center. Yoga, meditation, prayer, and anything that brings you back to yourself can remind you that you are not the fluctuation. You are the awareness behind it. And sometimes that is the only place real clarity begins.⸻A Map of WisdomHere are some of the places we go together in this talk:✦ Why morality is not as universally agreed upon as people think✦ What political polarization reveals about shared emotional patterns✦ How a two party system keeps amplifying the swing✦ Why practices like yoga and meditation create perspective✦ What it means to remember that your essence is already well and free⸻Markers on the Path(00:00) When proximity shapes perception(02:18) Why morality is not actually universal(04:58) The same arguments wearing different clothes(07:00) You are not the fluctuation(09:30) Your job is to be you(10:35) What remains when the details fall away⸻Something to Sit WithIf you stripped away the noise, the labels, and the arguments, who would you still be?⸻A Restorative Step:Find sixty seconds today where you close your eyes and say to yourself, slowly: I am not these things. When You Feel Hurt by What Loved Ones Say | DIVO- Ted Talks

If you cannot shake what someone said, it may be because some part of you is still deciding what is true.⸻Quote from the Episode"The only opinion that has ever mattered about who you are is yours."⸻DescriptionA lot of conflict doesn't end when it ends. It keeps going in your head. In your body. In the stories you tell yourself afterward. And when the people involved are family or people you care about, their words can carry a kind of weight that is hard to shake. That is where this talk begins. With the question of what to do when something feels unresolved, when you are still carrying the past, and when the instinct is either to fix it, control it, or cut somebody off. I talk through why that is not always the real answer, and why it matters to ask what their words are actually touching in you. From there, it comes back to boundaries, self awareness, and truth. Just being honest about what you know, what you can hold, and what no one else has the right to define. That is where more freedom starts.⸻A Map of WisdomHere are some of the places we go together in this talk:✦ Why unresolved conflict keeps echoing inside you✦ How expectations turn into suffering✦ Why loved ones' opinions can hit harder than strangers'✦ The difference between a boundary and an attempt to control✦ What freedom looks like when you stop letting other stories define you⸻Markers on the Path(00:00) When conflict from the past is still running your life(02:23) The hidden ways control tries to keep you safe(03:32) Why somebody else's words only stick if you accept them(05:46) What it means to reflect honestly instead of react(08:08) Boundaries that protect your peace without punishing anyone(10:09) Remembering that being well and being free is already yours⸻Something to Sit WithWhere in my life am I still giving someone else the power to tell me who I am?⸻A Restorative Step:Close your eyes for 60 seconds. Think of the last thing someone said that really got under your skin. Now ask yourself, honestly: is what they said true? If the answer is no, let yourself feel the relief of that. Boundaries Are Not a Tug of War | DIVO- Ted Talks

You're carrying other people's chaos in your body and wondering why you can't find steady ground.⸻Quote from the Episode"Boundaries aren't meant to be a tug of war. They're meant to be the place that I'm willing to walk up to and then we can see each other from that boundary."⸻DescriptionSome days the world feels so loud and so contradictory that it gets hard to tell what is actually happening and what your nervous system is doing with it. I sat with that here. The pressure of trying to live your life while everything around you feels tense, divided, and emotionally loaded. That kind of stress does not just stay in your thoughts. It lands in your body, your mood, and your spirit too. What I kept coming back to is perception. If I do not clean the windows of perception, then every interaction gets filtered through old beliefs, fear, exhaustion, and familiarity. Then I start reacting to the story I am telling myself instead of what is actually true. I talk about anger, emotional manipulation, homeostasis, and why boundaries are not supposed to become a wall or a power struggle.⸻A Map of WisdomHere are some of the places we go together in this talk:✦ Why stress from the world does not stay in the world✦ How beliefs shape the feelings that hit the body✦ What it means to clean the windows of perception✦ Why boundaries are about conserving energy, not control✦ How quiet and solitude bring you back to your own set point✦ The difference between authentic feeling and outsourced emotion⸻Markers on the Path(00:00) - When the world feels heavy(02:03) - The story does not line up(03:12) - Anger poisons the one holding it(05:06) - Clean the windows of perception(06:29) - Boundaries are not a tug of war(08:49) - Quiet is how you find your set point⸻Something to Sit WithWhere in my life am I asking other people or outside circumstances to decide how I feel?⸻A Restorative Step:Take sixty seconds and sit still without fixing anything. Stop Trying to End Stress and Start Learning From It | DIVO- Ted Talks

You keep trying to eliminate stress from your life, and it keeps showing up anyway, because it was never the thing working against you.⸻Quote from the Episode“Be well and be free. But just remember that you’re already that.”⸻DescriptionLife has this way of fluctuating doesn't it. One minute things feel steady and the next you're in the trough wondering how to get your feet back under you. I felt that truth come through strong this morning after teaching a class to just one student. We talked about how stress isn't something to end it's what pushes us to adapt and build real wisdom over time if we let it.I keep seeing it in my own ups and downs lately. The work isn't about making everything easier or stopping the waves. It's about showing up getting quiet and reminding myself I'm in the world but not of it. Yoga and Ayurveda help with that because they're not just shapes or stretches they're the essence of how we move through life with more steadiness.⸻A Map of WisdomHere are some of the places we go together in this talk:✦ Stress creates adaptation, and adaptation becomes wisdom✦ Weakness grows when we spend our lives trying to remove all challenge✦ Yoga is more than shapes, stretching, or a fitness rebrand✦ Fluctuations are part of life, but they do not define who you are✦ Freedom begins when you remember what is underneath the waves⸻Markers on the Path(00:00) When Showing Up for One Person Changes Everything(02:23) Stress Builds Adaptation and Adaptation Builds Wisdom(04:41) Why I Will Never Again Diminish What Yoga Actually Is(06:41) The Fluctuations of Life and the Freedom Already Inside You(09:04) Getting Your Sea Legs So the Storms Don't Break You⸻Something to Sit WithWhat if the stress you're trying to escape is the exact thing building the wisdom you've been asking for?⸻A Restorative Step:Take one minute today and sit still. April Fools Is Every Day When We Prank Ourselves | DIVO- Ted Talks

What if the biggest April Fools prank is the one we keep playing on ourselves every single day?⸻Quote from the Episode“We don't need April Fool's Day to pay attention to the things in our lives that we have fooled ourselves about.”⸻DescriptionI was thinking about April Fools this morning and it struck me how much we don’t actually need a special day for pranks. We do a pretty good job of fooling ourselves already. We buy into stories, cling to old frameworks, and live in alternate realities without even realizing it.It feels absurd sometimes when I catch myself doing it, and I see it in the world around us too. Yoga and Ayurveda aren’t about pretending everything is peaceful and perfect. They’re about gently bringing us back to what is real, back to discernment, back to the power source so we can actually shine instead of staying stuck in illusion.⸻A Map of WisdomHere are some of the places we go together in this talk:✦ The prank of self deception✦ Maya, stories, and emotional entanglement✦ Trust, discernment, and the need for practice✦ Prepared without living on guard✦ Staying connected to your real power source✦ Knowing what is for you, and what is not for you⸻Markers on the Path(00:00) The real prank behind April Fool's Day(01:51) Living in illusion without knowing it(03:00) Why feelings do not disappear on command(05:22) The ways we fool ourselves every day(07:17) Connection, purpose, and discernment⸻Something to Sit WithWhere in your life are you still pranking yourself with a story that no longer feels true?⸻A Restorative Step:Take sixty seconds today to sit quietly and ask yourself one simple question: “What story am I still believing that might not be the full truth?” Just notice what comes up, no judgment.__________Stay Connected:🌐 DIVOWellness.com📬 Subscribe to Newsletter📍 DIVO Wellness — Greensboro, NC— 🧡 DIVO Wellness — Movement is the Way

Stop Rigid Thinking and Feel More Alive Again | DIVO- Ted Talks

When your thinking gets too rigid, your whole life starts to lose its breath.⸻Quote from the Episode“In Ayurveda, the root of all disease is attachment.”⸻DescriptionSometimes we get so attached to the way we’ve been thinking, the way we’ve been identifying, the way we’ve been carrying ourselves, that we start to harden around it. That attachment becomes belief, belief becomes experience, and before long we are moving through life inside a shell that once protected us but no longer fits. That is where this talk came from. I was sitting with a client, reflecting on how rigid thought can turn into rigidity in the body, and how both of those can keep us from functioning the way we were meant to. I found myself coming back to yoga, Ayurveda, prana, consciousness, and this deeper truth that we are not just one thing. We are mind, body, spirit, and something at the center of all of it that is still getting to know itself.⸻A Map of WisdomHere are some of the places we go together in this talk:✦ The attachment that becomes disease✦ When rigid thought turns into rigid body✦ Why growth means shedding old structures✦ The deeper relationship between mind, body, spirit, and consciousness✦ Yoga as a way to remember where you fit in something greater⸻Markers on the Path(00:00) Attachment, Belief, and the Root of Disease(03:07) When We Put a Choke Hold on Life(04:42) Clearing the Weight of the Manifest World(06:21) What the Exoskeleton Teaches About Growth08:34 You Are Part of Something Greater⸻Something to Sit WithWhat old framework or belief are you still carrying that might actually be holding you back from growing?⸻A Restorative Step:Take sixty seconds right now to notice one place in your body that feels tight or rigid. Integration is What Actually Changes Your Life | DIVO- Ted Talks

We often crave the comfort of easy answers and cute little lists, but our actual lives demand the messy, beautiful work of real integration.⸻Quote from the Episode"Just because it's easy and it's the preferred method doesn't mean it's the best for you."⸻DescriptionI left class thinking about how much the mind loves simple things. Lists. Quick answers. Cute little frameworks we can grab onto and feel good about. And I get it. I like that stuff too. But there’s a difference between catching an idea and letting it actually take root in your life. That’s where this one came from. I started with something almost ridiculous, the way people say they do not like the taste of water, and somehow that opened the whole thing up. Your body does not care what is easiest to package or sell. It needs what it needs. Same with your growth. Same with your healing. Knowledge has to be planted, tended, lived, and shaped over time. What Do You Truly Desire? Using Yoga & Ayurveda to Get Clear on Your Why | DIVO- Ted Talks

A lot of us are spinning in circles, not because we lack motivation, but because we've never actually set the sail toward what we want.⸻Quote from the Episode"Your heart will tell you what makes your soul sing."⸻DescriptionWhy do so many of us feel unmotivated, stuck, or like we're constantly working but getting nowhere? Motivation without direction just leaves you drained. I walk through how to get clear on what you actually want, why that clarity changes everything, and how practices like yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda help you tune in so your energy goes toward the life you're trying to build, not just the life you think you're supposed to have. Most of us are taught to work hard, stay busy, and push through. But somewhere along the way, we stop asking what we're actually working toward. We tell ourselves we have to do certain things, that we have no choice, that this is just how life works. And then we wonder why we're exhausted. Why motivation feels impossible. Why everything feels like it's pulling us in a different direction. The real problem isn't that you lack drive. It's that you're trying to move forward without knowing where you're going. You're waiting for the wind instead of setting your sail.⸻A Map of WisdomHere are some of the places we go together in this talk:✦ Why your WHY matters more than forcing discipline✦ How intention gives direction to your energy✦ Why people stay stuck in patterns that leave them exhausted✦ How yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda bring clarity to desire✦ The difference between needing something and truly wanting it⸻Markers on the Path(00:00) Repeating lessons and physical barriers.(02:22) The sailing analogy for intention.(04:11) Setting the GPS and checking your fuel.(06:11) Using movement to find true clarity.(08:35) Stop spinning in circles.⸻Something to Sit WithWhat do you truly desire right now, and why does it matter enough to move you?⸻A Restorative Step:Take five quiet minutes today, sit or lie down, and simply ask yourself “What do I truly desire?” Write the first thing that comes and notice how your body feels when you read it back.__________Stay Connected:🌐 https://divowellness.com📬 DIVOted Newsletter: https://divowellness.com/newsletter-signup/📍 DIVO Wellness — Greensboro, NC— 🧡 DIVO Wellness — Movement is the Way

Why You Feel Off for No Clear Reason | DIVO- Ted Talks

Some days feel heavy before anything even happens, and the suffering starts when we rush to explain that heaviness with the wrong story.⸻Quote from the Episode“I didn’t read it and then feel something. I felt something and then I confirmed it.”⸻DescriptionWe have this relentless need to find a reason for everything we feel. When a wave of listlessness or deep loneliness hits, our immediate instinct is to scan our surroundings and pin the blame on a circumstance, a relationship, or a failure. I found myself caught in this exact trap recently when I woke up inexplicably early, feeling completely unresourced and disconnected from everything. My mind desperately wanted to identify the cause, clinging to specific narratives to justify the heavy energy I was carrying. But creating those stories only feeds a vicious cycle of suffering. Sometimes, the turbulence we feel is not a reflection of our life choices falling apart, but rather the unseen weather patterns - the celestial shifts - moving through us. When we mistake these energetic seasons for personal failures, we end up thrashing around like bulls in a china shop. True sovereignty comes when we stop trying to rationalize the discomfort and simply observe it, allowing the internal storm to pass and return to equilibrium.⸻A Map of WisdomHere are some of the places we go together in this talk:(00:00) When a Day Feels Wrong Before It Begins(02:20) Observation Before Explanation(04:41) The Stories We Build Around a Feeling(07:07) Let It Pass Like Weather(10:37) What Your Chart Might Reveal About Your Life⸻Markers on the Path00:00 - When a Day Feels Wrong Before It Begins02:20 - Observation Before Explanation04:41 - The Stories We Build Around a Feeling07:07 - Let It Pass Like Weather10:37 - What Your Chart Might Reveal About Your Life⸻Something to Sit WithWhen you feel off, do you actually feel the experience first, or do you immediately start turning it into a story about your life?⸻A Restorative Step:The next time a sudden mood shift or feeling of isolation hits you, take sixty seconds to simply observe the physical sensation in your body before your mind has a chance to write a story about who or what is to blame.__________Stay Connected:🌐 DIVOWellness.com📬 Subscribe to Newsletter📍 DIVO Wellness — Greensboro, NC— 🧡 DIVO Wellness — Movement is the Way

Functional Beliefs: Finding Freedom in Daily Choices | DIVO- Ted Talks

It is incredibly easy to walk through our days asleep at the wheel, but true liberation begins the moment we realize we are both the architect of our suffering and the sole creator of our freedom.⸻Quote from the Episode“And so we have this conflict going on within us where we are both our savior and our villain at the same time.”⸻DescriptionWe spend so much of our time completely out of sync with our own lives. It's like showing up to a moment we have been waiting for, only to realize we are still dragging around the baggage of yesterday. I was thinking about this today when the camera caught me completely off guard before I was ready. It's funny how life does that. It mirrors that exact feeling of being caught with our pants down, stuck between the life we are trying to build and the old obligations we haven't quite let go of.We walk through our lives lacking conscious attention, generating results we do not actually want, and then we get upset at those outcomes as if we were not the root cause in the first place. It is a harsh mirror to look into. We are simultaneously our own savior and our own worst villain. We cannot be both at the exact same moment, yet both live within us, taking turns at the wheel. If we can just recognize that we perceive everything through our own beliefs, we can start to tune ourselves to the frequency of the life we actually desire.⸻A Map of WisdomHere are some of the places we go together in this talk:✦ The Creator's Dilemma: How we look for solutions to painful experiences that we secretly caused ourselves.✦ Stepping Into the Unknown: Why we must accept that we are not yet the person capable of our future success, and how to bridge that gap.✦ The Observer Effect: Understanding that we are the perceiver, the perceived, and the experience all at once.✦ Dropping the Weight: Why taking your life too seriously only creates more gravity and drag on your spirit.⸻Markers on the Path(00:00) Caught off guard by our own lives.(01:35 ) The trap of unconscious creation.(02:33 ) Becoming the deliberate creator.(04:59 ) Free balling and functional beliefs.(06:42 ) Tools for enlightenment over suffering.(09:01 ) Choosing liberation over serious gravity.⸻Something to Sit With Are you currently playing the villain in your own story by holding onto a belief that only serves to keep you stuck?⸻A Restorative Step:The next time you feel frustrated by an outcome, take sixty seconds to pause, breathe, and ask yourself what unconscious choice you made that helped create this moment.__________Stay Connected:🌐 DIVOWellness.com📬 Subscribe to Newsletter📍 DIVO Wellness — Greensboro, NC— 🧡 DIVO Wellness — Movement is the Way

The Illusion of Control: Choosing Your Own Story | DIVO- Ted Talks

It's easy to get caught in the mundane routine of life, but reclaiming the magic starts with realizing you are the one behind the wheel.⸻Quote from the Episode“That is our control in life. Our control in life is that we can choose.”⸻DescriptionI was thinking recently about a friend of mine who took a birthday trip to the beach, only to be met with a massive blizzard. For him, it was absolute heaven and pure joy. It made me realize how easily we let the heavy obligations of the day diminish that kind of magic. We get so trapped in the daily rhythm that the extraordinary moments just slip away. It is not a path I want for myself. And really, it all comes back to this strange paradox where we have control and absolutely no control at the exact same time. The external events just happen, but our internal filters dictate whether we experience the magic or the mess. We get stuck in these tight feedback loops where a thought leads to a feeling, which dictates our actions. Suddenly we are either manifesting our greatest good or our deepest suffering.⸻A Map of WisdomHere are some of the places we go together in this talk:✦ The Paradox of Power : We explore how we simultaneously possess no control over our circumstances and total control over our choices.✦ The Architecture of Belief : Our personal filters create a steadfast feedback loop that leads either to our greatest good or profound suffering.✦ The Human Reaction : Even those filled with deep wisdom struggle with daily life and react with preconceived notions.✦ The Comfort of the Familiar : We so often choose to remain in pain simply because it is what we already know.✦ The Smorgasbord of Reality : Shifting from rigid binary thinking allows life to become a vast array of available choices.⸻Markers on the Path(00:00) Finding Joy in the Unexpected Blizzard(02:04) The Paradox of Having Control and No Control(04:14) Taking the Wheel and the Reality of Free Will(06:30) Creating Drama to Feel Alive(08:28) Breaking Free from Familiar Suffering⸻Something to Sit WithAre you holding onto a familiar struggle right now simply because stepping into a new way of living feels too unpredictable?⸻A Restorative Step:Take 60 seconds today to pause when you feel reactive, close your eyes, and clearly identify one small, conscious choice you can make to alter your immediate feedback loop.__________Stay Connected:🌐 DIVOWellness.com📬 Subscribe to Newsletter📍 DIVO Wellness — Greensboro, NC— 🧡 DIVO Wellness — Movement is the Way

Paying Attention Is the Trick to Being Well and Free | DIVO- Ted Talks

I want to talk about what control really means, and why attention is the thing that changes everything.⸻Quote from the Episode“The only times that you are not in control of your car or your vehicle is when you're not paying attention.”⸻A lot of people say they cannot control what happens, only how they react. I understand why that idea lands, but I wanted to look at it more honestly. There are parts of life that are bigger than us, yes, but there are also real choices happening all the time in where we place our attention, what direction we set, and whether we stay present enough to move through what is happening. What I keep coming back to is this. Attention is a form of participation. When you are in the moment, you are more available to instinct, clarity, and wise action. You may not control every storm, but you can still choose your next step. That is where steadiness begins, and that is where freedom starts to feel real.⸻In This Episode, I explore:• Why feeling powerless and powerful can both be true at the same time• How attention shapes your sense of control• What driving a car can teach us about presence• Why intention still matters, even when life feels uncertain• How staying in the moment changes the way you move through stress• What yoga has to do with focus, direction, and freedom⸻Highlights• 🚗 You stay in control when you stay attentive• 👀 Attention keeps you connected to the moment• 🌧️ Life brings storms, but presence changes how you move through them• 🧭 Intention gives direction, even when outcomes are not guaranteed• 🧘 Focus is not just mental discipline, it is part of being well⸻Reflection PromptWhere in my life have I drifted into reactivity because I stopped paying attention?⸻Practice PromptToday, choose one ordinary activity, driving, walking, cooking, or stretching, and do it with full attention for five minutes. Synchronicity and Signs: How Nature Speaks Through You | DIVO- Ted Talks

I want to help you understand that synchronicity is not random, and that your connection to life is deeper than you may realize.⸻Quote from the Episode"Synchronicities are validation of the connection of the human being in nature and the nature being in human."⸻In this episode, I reflect on the human tendency to search for meaning through signs, symbols, and patterns. Whether that shows up through nature, observation, astrology, oracle cards, or something else entirely, the deeper question is not what system you use, but whether it helps you see life more clearly and relate to it more honestly.I also explore the idea that synchronicity is not some rare magical event, but a reminder that we are part of nature, not outside of it. When you begin to trust that connection, you may notice that life is always speaking. The work is to become present enough, humble enough, and aware enough to listen.⸻In This Episode, I explore:• How synchronicity reflects our connection to nature• The role of observation in Ayurveda and everyday awareness• What it means to recognize yourself as part of life, not separate from it• Why self awareness matters before expression, conflict, or decision making⸻Highlights🌳 You are nature, and nature is you; there is no separation.✨ Synchronicity serves as a validation of your connection to the world.💎 We are all facets of the same diamond, illuminated by the same light.🔆 Light reveals what is already there⸻Reflection PromptWhat signs, symbols, or patterns have been showing up in your life lately, and what might they be reflecting back to you about where you are right now?⸻Practice PromptToday, choose one moment to pause and notice something in nature or your surroundings that catches your attention. Rope or Snake: How Awareness Changes Everything You See | DIVO- Ted Talks

Sometimes the biggest drain on our peace comes from fighting threats we have not actually taken the time to see clearly.⸻Quote from the Episode“How clear are you on whether you are looking at a rope or a snake, a true threat or just an imagined one?”⸻In this episode, I talk about what happens when we react to projection, assumption, and fear instead of reality. I walk through the difference between a real threat and an imagined one, and why awareness matters so much if you want to move through life with more clarity, steadiness, and honesty. In this episode, I look at how easy it is to get swept into stories that feel real but are not actually grounded in what is happening. A lot of people are not responding to the person in front of them. They are responding to an old wound, a projection, a memory, or an idea they have built in their own mind. That can happen online, in relationships, in business, and in the way we talk to ourselves.⸻In This Episode, I explore:• How projection shapes the way we react to people and situations• Why imagined threats can steal time, energy, and goodwill• The rope and snake teaching from yoga and Ayurveda• How to tell when you are reacting from fear instead of clarity• Why self awareness matters before expression, conflict, or decision making• How I work through uncertainty without pretending I know everything• What it means to respond authentically instead of from dogma⸻Highlights🧠 Sometimes we are arguing with a story, not a person🔦 Awareness brings light to what fear distorts🐍 A rope can feel like a snake when the mind is clouded⚖️ Clear seeing changes the quality of your decisions🌿 You do not need perfect certainty to practice deeper discernment⸻Reflection PromptWhere in your life might you be reacting to a projection, assumption, or old story instead of what is actually in front of you?⸻Practice PromptToday, pause before one strong reaction and ask yourself, “What am I actually seeing right now?” Then sit with the answer for one full breath before you respond.__________Stay Connected:🌐 DIVOWellness.com📬 Subscribe to Newsletter📍 DIVO Wellness — Greensboro, NC— 🧡 DIVO Wellness — Movement is the Way

What True Humility Means and What It Doesn't | DIVO- Ted Talks

I wanted to talk about humility in a way that feels honest, because real humility does not ask you to hide your gifts, it asks you to hold them without needing to be above anyone else.⸻Quote from the Episode"Humility is understanding that you are no more human than any other human on this planet."⸻DescriptionI recorded this one with only a feeling and a direction. What came through was a conversation about humility, intuition, and the pressure so many people carry to be special, superior, or somehow more worthy than the next person. I wanted to name the difference between honoring your gifts and turning those gifts into a reason to rank yourself above others.Ayurveda is clear about how attachment in all its forms leads to disease. That includes attachment to being superior and attachment to performing inferiority. Real humility lives somewhere else entirely. It's a quiet, grounded knowing: I like what I'm good at, I'm honest about it, and I can see what you're good at with the same honesty. When we can hold both of those things at once, something opens up. We stop needing to fight for the most special spot in the room. And that's actually when we do our best work in the world.⸻Show NotesIn This Episode, I explore:• What true humility is and why it has nothing to do with making yourself small• The Ayurvedic connection between attachment and dis-ease• Why so many people confuse faux humility with the real thing• What it looks like to genuinely honor your gifts while honoring others'• Cultural humility and why we tend to judge what we simply haven't lived⸻Highlights🌿 Humility does not require you to downplay what you do well.🔥 Your gifts matter, but they do not make you more valuable than someone else.🧠 Comparison distorts reality and pulls you away from truth.🤝 Real respect means recognizing worth in yourself and in others.🌍 The moment you remember our shared humanity, your perspective changes. ⸻Reflection PromptWhere in your life are you either overstating or understating your gifts? Peak performance is not magic. It is practiced focus, even when the day is not cooperating.⸻Quote from the Episode"What if your life is just a long game of the Olympics — and you are going for the gold medal of being you?"⸻DescriptionIn this episode, I look at what it actually means to reach peak performance. Using the Olympics as a backdrop, I talk about the grit required to stay focused when things go sideways. I share a personal story about a disastrous marathon start that taught me why we have to practice for the bad days, not just the easy ones, and how Yoga, Meditation, and Ayurveda help us build the buffer we need to stay steady.I see a lot of people working hard, but training only when things feel good. Then a hard day shows up and the whole plan collapses. Stress rises, the mind scatters, and suddenly it feels like you lost your edge. When Expectations Create Stress and Resentment | DIVO- Ted Talks

Expectations can turn into resentment fast, especially when you stop noticing what you are doing on autopilot.⸻Quote from the Episode“Expectations are premeditated resentments in so many different ways.”⸻DescriptionThere is a reason expectations feel so natural. The more familiar something becomes, the more automatic our relationship with it gets. We stop noticing. We start assuming. And somewhere in that process, we build up a picture of how things are supposed to go, how we are supposed to show up, how far along we should be by now. When reality doesn't match the picture, the resentment doesn't always go outward. A lot of the time, it turns inward. That is the part worth paying attention to.This episode is really about permission. Permission to be where you are, to do what matters to you, and to keep moving even when the path doesn't look like you thought it would. Yoga, Ayurveda, meditation, the whole restorative practice, all of it asks us to come back to the present. To notice what has become invisible. Not because the future doesn't matter, but because presence is the only place where anything real actually happens. You don't have to have it all figured out. You just have to keep going toward what is yours.⸻Show NotesIn This Episode, I explore:• Why expectations form so easily through habit and familiarity• How expectations become resentment, self judgment, and tension with others• What presence looks like when life becomes routine• The role of commitment, especially when things do not go as planned⸻Highlights🔥 Expectations often create resentment before anything even happens.🧠 Familiarity turns choices into autopilot, unless you stay aware.🧘 Presence gives you options when your mind wants to predict and control.💪 Commitment is built in the moments that feel like setbacks.🌿 Your life gets lighter when you let it be your expression, not your performance.⸻Reflection PromptWhere do you feel resentment building because you are attached to a specific outcome?⸻Practice PromptToday, pick one area where you feel behind or off track. Write down what you thought it was supposed to look like by now. Then write down one thing that is actually true about where you are. Sit with the distance between those two things without trying to close it immediately. Just notice it. That noticing is the beginning of presence, and presence is where restorative work starts.__________Stay Connected:🌐 DIVOWellness.com📬 Subscribe to Newsletter📍 DIVO Wellness — Greensboro, NC— 🧡 DIVO Wellness — Movement is the Way

Restore Your Energy When You Feel Sluggish DIVO- Ted Talks

You are already an expert on your own life and body, even if you haven't yet acknowledged the wisdom you've gained through your lived experience.⸻Quote from the Episode"You are an expert on you already. You just sometimes do not acknowledge it as much as you should."⸻DescriptionWe often move through our days unconsciously, ignoring the subtle clues our bodies and environments are giving us. Whether it’s the heavy, "muddy" feeling of a rainy morning or the frantic energy of being overextended, we tend to force ourselves forward rather than listening to what we actually need. This "pushing against the mud" only leads to depletion and disconnection from our natural state of being.By leaning into the principles of Ayurveda, we can begin to see the cause and effect of our daily choices. I explore how understanding the doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—allows us to stop fighting against our nature and start working with it. When we learn to sense the "currents" of life before the wave hits, we can prepare ourselves to show up at the level we desire without sacrificing our well-being.⸻Show NotesIn This Episode, I explore:• Why the most valuable body knowledge you have comes from lived experience, not a fitness tracker• How Ayurveda helps us understand the unique qualities of each season, each day, and each body type• The difference between pushing through your energy and learning to work with it• What it looks and feels like to move from unconscious living to intentional, embodied awareness• How looking backward at cause and effect builds the skill of looking forward with more clarity⸻Highlights💧 The "Muddy" Morning: Understanding why some days feel heavier than others and how to respond without force.🧣 Everyday Ayurveda: Why you don’t need a degree to practice the "science of life" in your own home.📊 Beyond the Fitbit: Learning to intimately recognize your body's signals without relying on external devices.🌊 Sensing the Wave: How to develop subtler senses to feel the shifts in energy and emotion around you.🌲 Seasonal Shifts: Why your energy changes from the heat of summer to the stillness of winter.⸻Reflection PromptWhen you feel "slow and sluggish," is your first instinct to force yourself to move faster, or do you take a moment to collect yourself first?⸻Practice PromptAre you pushing through your day like you're trying to move mud? I dive into why we often ignore the "clues" our bodies give us and how the simple wisdom of Ayurveda can help us regain our footing. A Simple Way to Stop Taking Things So Personally | DIVO- Ted Talks

We often think we are reacting to the world as it is, but more often, we are reacting to the meaning we’ve assigned to it based on stories we didn't even know we were still carrying.⸻Quote from the Episode"You make meaning in your life... what you do with that is your choice, and how you show up within that framework."⸻DescriptionA lot of us were taught to push emotions aside until we have time for them. Then they stack up, get concentrated, and show up as tension, reactivity, and sometimes even illness. We think we are dealing with the surface problem, but underneath it is often excess emotion and imbalance that never got a clean release. Here is the shift. The same situation can land in two people completely differently, because meaning is not just what happened. Meaning is what you are filtering it through, and those filters were often built early. When I notice myself taking something as an attack, I can pause and ask what belief is doing the sorting, and whether I want to keep living from that place.⸻Show NotesIn This Episode, I explore:• The connection between suppressed emotions and physical "dis-ease" in the body.• How Ayurveda explains the connection between emotional patterns and physical experience• The role of formative years in shaping how we interpret and react to the world• Why other people's reactions are always valid, even when they are different from your own• How to get curious about a reaction instead of taking it personally⸻Highlights🧠 Your mind is always interpreting. That interpretation is not automatically truth🫀 Stored emotion can look like stress, tension, and reactivity in the body🔍 When something feels like an attack, ask what belief is running the filter🧘‍♂️ You can honor your experience without letting it steer your life🔑 The meaning you choose shapes the life you live⸻Reflection PromptThink of a recent moment when something small stirred up a bigger reaction than you expected. Without judging the reaction, ask yourself: what did I make that moment mean? And is that meaning actually true, or is it an old story?⸻Practice PromptIdentify one "innocuous" thing that usually bothers you—an email, a specific phrase, or a traffic delay. For today, consciously decide to assign it a neutral meaning, observing it simply as a fact rather than a reflection of your worth or safety.__________Stay Connected:🌐 DIVOWellness.com📬 Subscribe to the DIVOted Newsletter📍 DIVO Wellness — Greensboro, NC— 🧡 DIVO Wellness — Movement is the Way

Out of Sync with Nature and What It Is Costing Your Body | DIVO- Ted Talks

Lately I have been thinking about why so many people feel off, even when they are doing all the right things, and it keeps coming back to one idea. We are living out of sync with nature.⸻Quote from the Episode"There's so much disease because we're trying to live outside of nature and its influences and its qualities."⸻DescriptionIn this episode, I talk about the quiet ways modern life pulls us away from natural rhythms, from daylight and seasons to the broader cycles that shape mood, energy, and recovery. We look at why this disconnect can build stress in the body over time, and I share a simple challenge to help you tune back in and make your self care more effective. We plan our lives around calendars, responsibilities, and expectations, but the body runs on rhythm. Light, temperature, and season influence sleep, appetite, focus, and motivation. When we treat every week like it should feel identical, we often end up pushing harder at the exact times the body is asking for restoration. What it means to come back into sync? It starts with paying attention. Notice how weather affects your mood, how winter changes your stamina, and what your nervous system needs as the days shift. When your choices match the season you are in, your energy steadies, your recovery improves, and your wellness practice starts to feel more natural.⸻Show NotesIn This Episode, I explore:• Why modern schedules can override the body’s natural timing• What it costs to ignore seasonal and environmental changes• Why Ayurveda places such a strong emphasis on rhythm and nature• How meditation helps you reconnect to what your body is telling you• A simple way to start adjusting your self care without overthinking it⸻Highlights🌕 The 13th Moon: Why the calendar we use is mathematically "crazy" and out of sync.🌿 You are part of nature, and your body responds to it every day🍌 The Banana Problem: Why eating out of season and out of region keeps us disconnected.🧘 Plugging Back In: How the meditative science of yoga restores what you can't measure.🌦️ Sensory Awareness: Learning to listen to how the weather influences your heart and well-being.⸻Reflection PromptIn what areas of your life are you trying to force a "summer" level of productivity while your body is clearly in a "winter" state of exhaustion?⸻Practice PromptPick three days this week and write down three things each morning: the weather outside, one word for your energy, one word for how your body feels. Mind, Body, and Spirit: The Three Forces of Life | DIVO- Ted Talks

There are three forces working in your life right now, whether you know it or not, and learning to work with them instead of against them might be the most important thing you ever do for your wellbeing.⸻Quote from the Episode"Whatever your attention is on is what you'll become. If you put your attention on your wellness, that is what you will become."⸻DescriptionI have been sitting with a question. What is it that actually holds things together, in the body, in the mind, and in the spirit. I started to notice that gravity feels like the force of the physical world, and love feels like the force that draws us heart to heart. Then it clicked that attention is the mental force that gathers our life into patterns, because what we focus on grows, and what we rehearse becomes familiar. So I offer you a triangle to contemplate. Spirit at the top, mind on one side, body on the other. Ayurveda connects mind and body. Yoga connects mind and spirit. Tantra connects body and spirit. When you pair that with gravity, attention, and love, you get a practical way to navigate wellness. You can train your body by working with gravity. You can train your mind by directing attention. You can strengthen spirit by receiving and giving love, especially when life gets challenging.⸻Show NotesIn This Episode, I explore:• The three key forces of life: gravity, attention, and love.• How the "Triangle of Life" connects the body, mind, and spirit.• The relationship between Ayurveda and the connection of mind and body.• Why the law of attraction is really about the direction of your attention• ● I explore yoga as a way of focusing the mind toward spiritual mastery.⸻Highlights🌀 Gravity, attention, and love are not metaphors. They are the actual forces governing your physical, mental, and spiritual life.🧠 Whatever you put your attention on, you become. Earl Nightingale said it. Ancient wisdom says it. The nervous system proves it.💛 You can only grieve as deeply as you loved. Loss is not evidence of weakness. It is evidence of how much was there.🔺 The triangle of life, spirit at the top, mind and body at the base, is a map for understanding yourself more completely.🌿 Yoga, Ayurveda, and tantra are not separate practices. They are the connective tissue between the three pillars of who you are.⸻Reflection PromptWhich of the three forces—gravity, attention, or love—feels the most out of balance in your life right now, and what is one small way you could "leverage" it today?⸻Practice PromptToday, pick one physical movement (like sitting down or walking) and one mental task. As you do them, consciously acknowledge the force at work: feel the pull of gravity on your muscles during the movement, and notice where your attention is anchored during the task. Simply observe how these forces feel in your body.__________Stay Connected:🌐 DIVOWellness.com📬 Subscribe to My Newsletter📍 DIVO Wellness — Greensboro, NC— 🧡 DIVO Wellness — Movement is the Way

Overwhelmed by Your Own Stories? Here Is How to Let Them Go | DIVO- Ted Talks

The arguments I have been having are not with other people. They are with myself. And today I want to talk about what it actually costs us to stay attached to stories that were never ours to carry.⸻Quote from the Episode"The only thing that doesn't cause disease is being attached to the essence of who you are."⸻DescriptionIn this episode I get honest about the mental loops I have been caught in. The imaginary arguments, the energetic ties to outcomes, the way I keep framing things in ways that create more suffering than they need to. I have noticed I can take one moment and turn it into an entire storyline. I can replay a conversation, build an argument in my head, and stay tied to it for hours. Meanwhile, nothing is happening in real time, but my body does not know the difference. My nervous system responds like the fight is still happening. The yogic tradition has a name for this. Attachment. Not just to things or people, but to ideas, stories, and the particular ways we have learned to frame experience. You can still feel things deeply. But when your peace depends on outcomes, on being right, on making someone feel what they made you feel, that is where suffering takes root. Gravity holds the body. Attention holds the mind. And love holds the spirit. That is where we begin.⸻Show NotesIn This Episode, I explore:• How we create unnecessary stress by winning imaginary arguments in our heads.• How words only have power when you keep holding them.• The real difference between letting go and giving up• What Eleanor Roosevelt's observation about consent and emotional impact still teaches us• The idea that the body, mind, and spirit are each held together by a different force• How sharp emotional edges can cut us and the people around us, and what it looks like to soften them⸻Highlights🧠 The Trap of Mental Rehearsal: Why we fight battles in our minds that we’ve already won or lost in reality.🧘‍♂️ Real freedom starts when you loosen your grip on the story.🌹 Resilience vs. Judgment: Understanding how we can "fall in shit and come up smelling like a rose" by staying adaptable.✂️ When you soften your sharp edges, you stop cutting yourself and everyone around you.❤️ Heart-Centered Stories: Shifting our understanding of life from a mental exercise to a spiritual experience.⸻Reflection PromptWhere in your life are you holding onto a story about a person, a situation, or yourself that is costing you more than it is giving you? And what would it feel like to stay rooted in who you are without needing that story to be resolved first?⸻Practice PromptToday, when you catch yourself replaying a conflict or rehearsing what you wish you had said, pause. Place one hand on your chest. Take three slow breaths and ask yourself: is this story living in my mind or in my heart? Let the answer guide you. Recenter Yourself. A Simple Wellness Reminder | DIVO- Ted Talks

In this episode, I want to offer a simple reminder. You can recenter yourself, even when life feels heavy.⸻Quote from the Episode“To be well and be free is not anything but recognizing that you already are.”⸻DescriptionThere are seasons when life feels like a constant exchange. Your energy for currency, your time for obligations, your attention for survival. Even when nothing is “wrong,” it can still feel like something is always being asked of you. That pressure can quietly pull you away from your center, and before you know it, you feel overwhelmed, scattered, or disconnected from what you actually need. From a yoga and Ayurveda lens, wellness is less about perfect circumstances and more about your relationship with self. When you return to the center of your world, you start making cleaner choices. You remember that some of the most restorative pleasures are simple and free. A walk, a breath, a quiet moment inward. From that steadiness, the details of your life begin to organize around what is real, what is sustainable, and what helps you feel like you again.⸻Show NotesIn This Episode, I explore:• Why adapting to the world can feel exhausting, even when you are doing “everything right”• What Rasa means, and why it matters when you feel disconnected• The difference between chasing relief and building wellness• Why rich or poor does not automatically equal well or unwell• What “right relationship with self” looks like in real life• Simple pleasures that restore you without costing you anything• Using yoga, movement, rhythm, and routine to return to center⸻Highlights🌿 Your wellness is shaped by your relationship with yourself, not just your circumstances.🧘‍♂️ Rasa is your essence. The part of you that was curious and alive from the beginning.🔥 Movement, routine, and rhythm help you reestablish steadiness when life feels chaotic.🌬️ Some of the most powerful forms of restoration are simple and free.🏡 When you come back to center, life stops feeling like it is running you.⸻Reflection PromptWhere have I been ignoring my own internal clues about what I need today?⸻Practice PromptSet a five minute timer today. Moving Beyond Holistic: Finding Our Natural Rhythm | DIVO- Te

We often try to box our experiences into neat compartments, but true healing comes from understanding the natural, cyclical rhythms of life.⸻Quote from the Episode"Grief, in my opinion, is a spiritual strengthening. It is a resistance training in and of itself."⸻DescriptionI’ve been thinking a lot about how we glorify Eastern ideals in the West while the East often looks toward Western lifestyles, creating a constant, cyclical exchange. We have a tendency to want to "biohack" or "spirituality hack" our way out of discomfort, compartmentalizing our healing into boxes with pretty bows rather than seeing the interconnectedness of our suffering and our growth.Instead of striving to be "holistic" as a reaction to a broken system, I encourage us to look toward Sanatana Dharma—the eternal way—where balance is simply the natural state of the universe. When we align ourselves with these natural rhythms, we can view life's inherent resistance as a force that carries us forward more efficiently, rather than something that tears us down.⸻Show NotesIn This Episode, I explore:The cyclical relationship between Eastern wisdom and Western methodology. The concept of Sanatana Dharma as "the eternal way" of living. Why the label "holistic" is often a byproduct of a treatment-oriented culture.Reframing grief and suffering as spiritual resistance training.Moving from being a passive recipient of life to an active participant in its flow.⸻Highlights🌀 The Whirlpool Effect: Understanding existence as a series of expanding and contracting eddies.☯️ Yin and Yang: Recognizing that every state contains a piece of its opposite.💪 Spiritual Strength: How emotional "burn" eventually leads to adaptation and resilience.🌊 Natural Rhythms: Moving with the wind of life rather than getting "wind burnt" by resisting it.⸻Reflection PromptIn what areas of your life are you currently feeling "resistance," and how might that resistance be building a specific kind of strength?⸻Practice PromptToday, when you feel a moment of contraction—a difficult thought or a physical tension—simply pause and acknowledge it as part of a natural cycle, like a breath, without trying to "fix" or "hack" it immediately.__________Stay Connected:🌐 DIVOWellness.com📬 Subscribe to My Newsletter📍 DIVO Wellness — Greensboro, NC— 🧡 DIVO Wellness — Movement is the Way

Where Attention Goes, Energy Flows & Why It Matters | DIVO- Ted Talks

Where your attention goes, your energy follows, and that simple truth quietly shapes how you experience your life every single day.⸻Quote from the Episode“Where attention goes, energy flows, and what you fill with your attention is what grows in your life.”⸻DescriptionLife has a rhythm, an ebb and flow, and yet so much of our suffering comes from resisting where we are and wishing things were different. When we try to be somewhere else mentally, we drain ourselves of energy and clarity. I share how even small, tedious moments can become exhausting when we fight them instead of meeting them with presence. From an Ayurvedic and yogic perspective, attention is not neutral. It is creative. When we learn to stay with the present moment, our energy becomes available to us again. This is not about forcing positivity or bypassing feelings. It is about reclaiming your life force by choosing where you place your awareness and learning to resource yourself from the inside out.⸻Show NotesIn This Episode, I explore:• Why resisting the present moment quietly drains your energy• How attention acts like a spotlight that energizes whatever it touches• The difference between external distraction and internal nourishment• Why presence can slow life down and restore clarity• How small daily choices shape long term wellbeing⸻Highlights• 🧠 Attention is not passive. It actively shapes your experience• 🔥 Energy follows focus, whether consciously or unconsciously• 🌱 Being present gives you access to more internal resources• ❄️ Acceptance does not mean liking the situation, it means starting where you are• 🧘 Presence is a skill that gets easier with practice⸻Reflection PromptWhere is your attention going most often right now, and is it actually nourishing you?⸻Practice PromptToday, choose one ordinary task and do it with full presence. When Holding Too Tight Creates the Very Thing You Fear

Sometimes the hardest lesson is realizing that the more tightly we hold, the less space we leave for life to actually work.⸻Quote from the Episode“How many times have you squeezed things so tight that they couldn’t be anything else?”⸻DescriptionI’ve spent much of my life believing that staying ahead meant holding on tighter. Controlling outcomes. Anticipating problems. Preparing for every possible disruption. What I’m realizing now is how often that impulse creates the very tension and limitation I’m trying to avoid. This episode is about recognizing when effort turns into constriction. When clarity gets replaced by fear. And how practices like yoga and Ayurveda help clear the residue that distorts perception so we can respond instead of react. Life moves. Community moves. Systems move. And when we allow space, things often resolve with far more ease than we expect.⸻Show NotesIn This Episode, I explore:• How control can quietly turn into self sabotage• Why communication often dissolves problems faster than resistance• The cost of forcing outcomes before they are ready• How perception gets distorted under stress and fear• What yoga and Ayurveda teach us about clarity and flow⸻Highlights• 🌊 Life moves through flow, not force• 🧠 Tight control clouds perception• 🤝 Honest communication creates unexpected resolution• 🪟 Clearing internal residue restores clarity• 🔓 Space allows growth to happen⸻Reflection PromptWhere in your life are you holding so tightly that there is no room for anything new to emerge?⸻Practice PromptToday, notice one situation where you feel the urge to control the outcome. Worry Does Not Make You More Prepared | DIVO- Ted Talks

Preparation does not come from worry, it comes from being fully present with what is right in front of you.⸻Quote from the Episode“Worrying will not make you more prepared, but being present will.”⸻DescriptionLife has a way of pulling us into future scenarios that have not happened yet. Weather, responsibility, business, family, and uncertainty can quietly turn our attention away from the present moment. When that happens, we often confuse worry with preparation, believing that thinking harder or stressing more will somehow protect us.In this conversation, I explore what it actually means to be ready. Preparation is not about obsessing over every possible outcome. It is about being here now, responding to what is real, and trusting that clarity comes from awareness. When we are present, we move with life instead of bracing against it.⸻Show NotesIn This Episode, I explore:• The difference between worry and true preparation• How anticipation pulls us out of the present moment• Why presence creates readiness• What yoga teaches us about responding instead of reacting• Listening to subtle signals instead of forcing certainty⸻Highlights🧘‍♂️ Worry is not the same as responsibility❄️ Preparation happens in the present, not the future🌿 Awareness clears mental clutter🎾 Presence sharpens response, just like in movement🕯️ Readiness is a state of being, not overthinking⸻Reflection PromptWhere in your life are you mistaking worry for preparation?⸻Practice PromptToday, notice one situation where your mind jumps ahead. Nothing Has Power Over You Until You Hand It Over | DIVO- Ted Talks

We give power away in subtle ways every day, usually without noticing the moment it happens.⸻Quote from the Episode“Nothing has power over us except that which we give power over us.”⸻DescriptionWe often believe that situations, people, or circumstances have power over us, especially when life feels unpredictable or overwhelming. In this episode, I unpack how that belief forms and how it quietly shapes our actions, emotions, and sense of freedom. I talk about how realism rooted in past experience can limit possibility, and how fixation and labeling keep us stuck in cycles that feel impossible to break.I also explore how yoga and Ayurveda approach healing through awareness rather than force. By developing a consistent practice, we learn to recognize patterns, notice shifts, and respond instead of react. Power is not about control. It is about clarity, steadiness, and remembering that change is always possible when we stop surrendering ourselves to what no longer serves us.⸻Show NotesIn This Episode, Nicholas Explores• How power is given away without conscious choice• Why attachment to past experiences limits possibility• The role of labeling and fixation in suffering• How awareness interrupts mental and emotional cycles• What yoga and Ayurveda teach about reclaiming sovereignty• Why consistent practice creates steadiness in uncertain times⸻Highlights• 🧠 Power is not taken from us. It is surrendered.• 🌱 Awareness is the foundation of healing and choice.• 🔄 Obsession strengthens the very thing we want to escape.• 🧘‍♂️ Consistent practice creates a reliable internal reference point.• 🌊 Steadiness allows life to move without knocking us off course.⸻Reflection PromptWhere in your life might you be giving power to something simply because you have not questioned it yet?⸻Practice PromptToday, notice one situation that normally pulls you into reaction. Imagination, Belief, and the Reality You Live In | DIVO- Ted Talks

In this episode, I reflect on imagination, belief, and how the thoughts we carry quietly shape the world we experience.⸻Quote from the Episode“If something couldn’t be a reality, it wouldn’t even be able to be thought of.”⸻DescriptionWe live in a manifestational reality, whether we are aware of it or not. What we were shown early in life becomes the software that runs on the hardware of the human mind, shaping how we interpret events, respond to stress, and imagine what is possible for us. Many of us limit ourselves not because opportunity is absent, but because belief quietly tells us what can and cannot happen. In this episode, I offer a grounded reminder that imagination is not something we outgrow. It is a birthright. When the mind is clear and not gripped by fear or fixation, seeds can be planted and allowed to take root naturally. Through awareness, meditation, and embodied practice, we create the conditions for imagination to become lived experience rather than wishful thinking.⸻Show NotesIn This Episode, Nicholas Explores• Why imagination is not separate from reality• How early beliefs shape perception and behavior• The role of attention in manifestation• Why letting go is often more powerful than control• How clarity of mind supports meaningful change⸻Highlights• 🎶 Imagination is a human capacity, not a fantasy• 🌱 Belief acts as the soil that determines what can grow• 🧠 Thoughts planted without awareness still take root• 🧘‍♂️ Clarity of mind creates space for possibility• 🔄 Letting go allows life to organize itself⸻Reflection PromptWhere in your life are you dismissing imagination as unrealistic, and what might change if you treated it as information instead?⸻Practice PromptToday, notice one recurring thought you carry without questioning it. The Myth of Laziness and the Truth About Motivation | DIVO- Ted Talks

This episode is a reminder that what you did was enough, who you are is enough, and the story you tell yourself about being lazy is usually missing the truth. If you’ve ever judged yourself for slowing down or not doing enough, this episode is an invitation to see motivation differently.⸻Quote from the Episode“If you could have done better, you would have done better.”⸻DescriptionThere are seasons in life that feel heavy, confusing, or emotionally charged, and during those times we tend to judge ourselves for slowing down, resting, or not meeting the expectations we think we should. I talk about how this time of year amplifies that pressure, and how quickly we label ourselves as lazy, unmotivated, or failing when in reality we are often doing the best we can with the capacity we have. From a yogic and Ayurvedic lens, I explore why no one is truly lazy, and how motivation is not a moral issue but a relational one. When we stop degrading our past efforts and start meeting ourselves honestly in the present moment, something shifts. Growth becomes possible again, not through force, but through understanding and gentle engagement with life as it is.⸻Show NotesIn This Episode, Nicholas Explores• Why labeling yourself as lazy is usually inaccurate and harmful• How capacity changes based on season, stress, and circumstance• The difference between resting and giving up• Why motivation comes from engagement, not self judgment• How compassion creates movement where pressure cannot⸻Highlights• 🌱 You did the best you could with who you were at the time• 🔄 Motivation grows through participation, not perfection• 🧠 Rest is not failure, it is information• 🧘‍♂️ Growth begins when self judgment ends• 🌿 Enoughness creates space for real change⸻Reflection PromptWhere in your life are you judging yourself for not doing more, instead of honoring what you were capable of in that moment?⸻Practice PromptToday, notice one moment where you feel the urge to criticize yourself. When Your Mind is Everywhere and You Feel Depleted | DIVO- Ted Talks

Today we explore how living away from the present moment slowly depletes our energy, clarity, and sense of wholeness.⸻Quote from the Episode“Suffering is guaranteed if you’re anywhere but now.”⸻DescriptionWhen our attention is constantly pulled into the future or the past, we begin living at a distance from ourselves. That distance creates strain. Like holding weight at full arm extension, the farther our mind moves away from the body, the heavier everything feels. Over time, that strain shows up as exhaustion, overwhelm, disconnection, and a sense that life is slipping past us.In this episode, I explore how presence acts like an energetic escrow account. When we stay here, aware and engaged, we build reserves. When we scatter ourselves, we start borrowing against our own well being. This isn’t about perfection or forcing mindfulness. It’s about noticing where your energy goes, reclaiming it gently, and learning how to live closer to yourself again.⸻Show NotesIn This Episode, Nicholas Explores• Why divided attention drains the nervous system• How “living ahead” creates unnecessary suffering• The concept of mental and energetic lever length• Why presence is restorative, not passive• How depletion builds slowly and repayment is inevitable• What it means to live closer to yourself⸻Highlights• 🧠 A divided mind creates a divided body and spirit• 🧘‍♂️ The farther your attention moves from the body, the heavier life feels• ⏳ Living in the future spends energy you do not yet have• 🌱 Presence builds reserves instead of debt• 🔄 Restoration happens when resources are brought back home⸻Reflection PromptWhere in your life are you living ahead of yourself, and what might change if you came back to now?⸻Practice PromptToday, choose one simple task and do it fully. Why Attachment to Outcomes Creates Suffering | DIVO- Ted Talks

Attachment to outcomes often draws us out of the present moment and creates more suffering than we realize.⸻Quote from the Episode“If you are in appreciation, you cannot be lacking.”⸻DescriptionSo much of our stress comes from believing that life has to unfold a certain way in order for us to feel okay. We create internal checklists, earn our joy through effort, or delay peace until conditions are met. These beliefs are often formed early, reinforced through culture, media, and experience, and rarely questioned. When outcomes become right or wrong, success or failure, we suffer before anything has even happened. In this episode, I share why presence is not something we force ourselves into, but something we return to by letting go of what pulls us away. Through mindfulness, embodied practice, and honest self observation, we can reconnect to the present moment where appreciation replaces lack. Healing happens not through performance, but through participation in what is actually here.⸻Show NotesIn This Episode, Nicholas Explores• How attachment to outcomes creates unnecessary suffering• Why permission slips delay joy and fulfillment• The difference between idealism, realism, and actualism• How mindfulness brings us back to the present moment• Why appreciation dissolves the feeling of lack• Letting go of performance and trusting embodied practice⸻Highlights• 🧠 Beliefs formed early often run our adult lives unconsciously• 🎬 Media and storytelling shape unrealistic expectations• 🧘 Presence cannot coexist with lack• 🌿 Healing happens through subtraction, not accumulation• 🔄 Mindfulness looks different for each person⸻Reflection PromptWhere in your life are you waiting for conditions to be perfect before allowing yourself peace or appreciation?⸻Practice PromptToday, notice one moment where you are focused on an outcome instead of the experience itself. Pause, breathe, and gently return your attention to what is happening right now.__________Stay Connected:🌐 https://divowellness.com📬 DIVOted Newsletter: https://divowellness.com/newsletter-signup/📍 DIVO Wellness — Greensboro, NC— 🧡 DIVO Wellness — Movement is the Way

Let Go of Expectations and Find the Feeling You’re After | DIVO- Ted Talks

I’ve been reflecting on how often we miss meaningful moments by clinging to expectations instead of allowing ourselves to feel what’s actually happening.⸻Quote from the Episode“We’re never really chasing the details. We’re chasing the feeling.”⸻DescriptionSo many of us carry quiet expectations about how moments should look, especially birthdays, holidays, relationships, and life milestones. When reality does not match the story in our head, disappointment sets in. In this episode, I reflect on my own experience navigating expectations around my birthday and how easily we give our peace away when we attach our happiness to specific outcomes.Through the lens of yoga and Ayurveda, I talk about presence as a practice of freedom. When we focus on the feeling rather than the form, we open ourselves to possibility, connection, and peace. This episode is an invitation to loosen control, meet the moment as it is, and allow life to show up in ways that may be different, but no less meaningful.⸻Show NotesIn This Episode, Nicholas Explores• Why expectations often create unnecessary suffering• The difference between seeking details and seeking feeling• How yoga and Ayurveda guide us toward presence• Letting go of rigid outcomes without giving up desire• Finding peace and fulfillment in what is actually happening⸻Highlights• 🎂 Celebrations don’t fail. Expectations do.• 🧘 Presence creates clarity without effort.• 🌱 The feeling matters more than the form.• 🔄 Flexibility opens the door to connection.• ✨ Peace comes from meeting the moment as it is.⸻Reflection PromptWhere in your life are you holding onto an expectation that is preventing you from fully experiencing what’s already here?⸻Practice PromptToday, pause during one meaningful moment and ask yourself, “What feeling am I really looking for right now?” Let that guide your response instead of the details.__________Stay Connected:🌐 https://divowellness.com📬 DIVOted Newsletter: https://divowellness.com/newsletter-signup/📍 DIVO Wellness — Greensboro, NC— 🧡 DIVO Wellness — Movement is the Way

When You Feel Out of Place & How to Stay the Course | DIVO- Ted Talks

Sometimes the hardest part of being human is feeling like you do not quite belong, and learning how to stay the course anyway.⸻Quote from the Episode“The more I am identified with the camouflage, the more distorted I become about who and what I truly am.”⸻DescriptionThere are moments when life feels unfamiliar, even when everything around you looks normal. I talk about what it is like to feel human but not fully at home in the world, how oversharing, misunderstanding, and survival patterns can shape identity, and why many of us feel distorted by the roles we are trying to live inside of.I also explore how yoga, Ayurveda, and awareness help clarify the signal beneath the noise. Staying the course does not mean pushing harder or climbing higher. It means honoring where you are in the process, caring for the part that is yours to tend, and learning how to live well inside the reality you are in.⸻Show NotesIn This Episode, Nicholas Explores• What it means to feel out of place while still living a human life• Identity, ego, and distortion through survival• The idea of camouflage and local reality• Why clarity matters more than understanding everything• Staying the course without forcing outcomes⸻Highlights• 🌌 Feeling human does not always mean feeling at home• 🧠 Ego is part of survival, not something to eliminate• 🧘‍♂️ Yoga and Ayurveda help clear distortion, not escape reality• 🔍 Your job is your part, not the whole• 🌱 Staying the course requires honesty, not force⸻Reflection PromptWhere in your life are you trying to understand the whole instead of caring for the part that is actually yours?⸻Practice PromptToday, pause once and ask yourself, what is truly my responsibility right now, and gently release the rest.__________Stay Connected:🌐 https://divowellness.com📬 DIVOted Newsletter: https://divowellness.com/newsletter-signup/📍 DIVO Wellness — Greensboro, NC— 🧡 DIVO Wellness — Movement is the Way

Staying Grounded During Stress & Uncertainty | DIVO- Ted Talks

Sometimes life slows us down not to stop us, but to help us see more clearly.⸻Quote from the Episode"Feeling low is not the problem. Staying there is where things begin to go awry."⸻DescriptionLately, I have been sitting with some heavier experiences, both personal and professional, that have required me to pause and look honestly at what is working and what is quietly draining me. When things pile up, it becomes easy to keep pushing forward out of habit or idealism, rather than discernment. In this episode, I share how life often creates course correction when we avoid making necessary changes ourselves. Through the lens of yoga and Ayurveda, I explore how consistency does not prevent difficulty, but it creates stability, clears perception, and allows us to move forward with less resistance and more truth.⸻Show NotesIn This Episode, Nicholas Explores• How difficult experiences bring clarity rather than punishment• The difference between ideals and what is sustainable right now• Why discernment requires data, reflection, and honesty• How consistency creates stability during uncertainty• The role of yoga and Ayurveda in clearing perception⸻Highlights• 🌱 Feeling down is human. Staying stuck is optional.• 🧭 Life often redirects us before we are ready to choose change ourselves.• 🔍 Clarity comes from honest evaluation, not pressure.• 🧘 Consistent practice creates stability, not avoidance.• 🪶 Letting go is sometimes the most supportive action.⸻Reflection PromptWhat are you holding onto because of who you hoped it would become, rather than how it is actually supporting you right now?⸻Practice PromptToday, notice one commitment, expense, or habit that feels quietly draining. Pause, breathe, and simply acknowledge it without judgment. Let awareness come before action.__________Stay Connected:🌐 https://divowellness.com📬 DIVOted Newsletter: https://divowellness.com/newsletter-signup/📍 DIVO Wellness — Greensboro, NC— 🧡 DIVO Wellness — Movement is the Way

Many Paths, One Truth: Yoga, Discernment & Staying Grounded in a Divided World | DIVO- Ted Talks

A DIVOted Talk on perception, AI, spiritual bypassing, embodiment & honoring your place in the whole⸻Quote from the Episode:“There is one truth — but there are many paths to it, and many lived experiences of it.”⸻Description:In this thoughtful and timely episode of DIVOted Talks, Nicholas Wade Kimps explores truth, perception, and discernment in an era of AI, misinformation, and deep societal division. As technology rapidly reshapes how reality is presented and consumed, Nicholas returns to yoga and Ayurveda as grounding frameworks for navigating complexity without losing clarity or self-trust.He reflects on how spiritual bypassing can disconnect us from embodiment, why uniqueness is not a flaw but a function of the whole, and how chasing unity too soon can cause us to abandon the wisdom of our current position. Using the metaphor of a pyramid, Nicholas invites listeners to honor where they stand, transmute what they carry, and contribute authentically rather than striving to escape human complexity altogether.⸻Show Notes:In this episode, Nicholas explores:• The paradox of fast-moving time and seasonal slowing• Navigating feedback without confusing it for identity• AI, perception, and the fragility of shared reality• Why discernment matters more than certainty• The difference between unity and bypassing• How individuality serves the greater whole• Transmutation vs. spiritual escape• Embodiment as a prerequisite for integration• Finding common ground by naming agreement before conflict⸻Highlights:• 🔺 Truth is singular — experience is not.• 🧠 Discernment anchors wisdom in uncertain times.• 🧘‍♂️ Spiritual growth requires embodiment, not escape.• 🔥 Transmuted pain becomes purpose, not burden.• 🌍 Unity emerges through participation, not abandonment.⸻Reflection Prompt:Where might you be bypassing your current position in life instead of fully inhabiting it — and what wisdom is waiting there?⸻Practice Prompt:Today, notice where you are trying to transcend instead of engage. Choose one moment to stay present with what’s real and grounded instead.⸻Stay Connected:🌐 https://divowellness.com📬 DIVOted Newsletter: https://divowellness.com/newsletter-signup/📍 DIVO Wellness — Greensboro, NC— 🧡 DIVO Wellness — Movement is the Way
