MYSTERY GIRL was written in 2010. It came about during an odd time in my life. I had started on the Parkinson's Drugs, one of which was MIrapex. Mirapex is a horrible drug causing hallucinations. I had met, on line, what I thought was a beautiful woman 32, years of age, who lived in Texas, and was a pilot for a small airline. We had everything in common. We texted for hours, played games on line and I was deeply in love. I had not heard of the term cat fishing at the time, but I sure learned in a hurry what it was. We never met, never spoke on the phone, i never saw a real picture of her. This went on for a good six months. Every odd thing that happened had a weird but plausible explanation. But I was only seeing what I wanted to see. In the end , as far as I know, it could easily have been a 70 year old man. Adds a whole new meaning to the term Love is blind. I was so frustrated at not being able to meet her in person, I wrote this song.

This song comes in near the end of Act 1. The Boy is now 40 and getting a divorce from Emily. His mom, dad, best friend, Reficul, and Pastor are all trying to give him advice as to what to do with his life now. He gets fed up with it and walks out, followed by Reficul, who now has the boy right where he wants him. The rest of the advice givers stay put and are somewhat lost in their own pomposity. Good luck getting the tune out of your head. Featuring Cheyenne Brown as the Mom, Jim Astle as the Pastor, Dad and Reficul. Duane Thomas as the Boy and Best friend.

This is an original recording taken off a reel to reel tape 43 years ago. It was recorded live, one take, no overdubs.

This is a very special song for me. I had a huge crush on one of my grade school teachers. It has been more then 50 years since I have seen her, and through the power of Facebook I have been reacquainted with her. It is a great tribute to teachers and the incredible job they do, teaching millions of children, and putting up with all the governmental red tape. Almost every teacher I have ever known just wanted to teach, not do hours upon hours of paperwork. We need to let them teach!

This is just a small sample of a musical work in progress, involving a new children's book a friend of mine is publishing. This is a song I wrote for my very good friend from High School, Ron Aguilera. He died about 2 years ago, and this song came to me very fast. I have been slow in getting it recorded because it is hard to get through without crying and I have been very busy trying to finish and market my musical Leaves. He was a great friend and was there at Calvary Chapel when it was just a tent, the night I got saved. The bridge is pretty much taken from what he wrote in my yearbook, some 45 years ago. "Duane, We have been through a lot. A laugh, A cry, A song, A joyful noise. I wish you good things. Don't remember me, but remember the One who is my friend, My Lord." His love in my life will never be forgotten.

I'll always remember this night as if it were yesterday. Nothing like an enthusiastic live audience!

Here is a little longer portion of EEYON Probe episode 1. 1st segment. EEYON is pronounced EE -ON. and is a Sci- fi space drama. This first episode revolves around a deep space incident that happened on April 10, 2021, in which the ISA's (International Space Agency)Manned deep space shuttle ECSTACY was fired on and destroyed. There has been no communication since and all aboard are presumed to have perished including the highly developed FLUTES, Andoid like units made up of electronically engaged Fluid made of Liquid Titanium.

The finished back track of the Leaves finale. Assembling the vocals one at a time is going to take several months, so I wanted you to hear a bit of what the finale has in store.

My latest song. I just finished writing this one the other day. It's a sad one.

This is kind of an extreme change from my normal stuff. It's a study in all digitized music. It reminds me a little of Ross in Friends when he gets his 'sound' on the digital keyboard. Another change in this piece is that along with it be all electric sounds, I wrote the words and "melody", such as it is after the music was put down. I've never done it that way before.

This is the theme song to EEYON, my internet radio show that I'm writing and producing. The show is based on an a fictional International Space Association, ISA, formed on earth in 2021. FLUTE's are the "glue" that holds the show together. They are C3PO like androids that work somewhat like the Borg. If one is killed or becomes incapacitated, all knowledge is immediately transferred to the next closest unit. A FLUTE is Fluid, or liquid Titanium Engaged.

This is from a home recording made in 2002 with my old Roland drum machine, Ovation acoustic electric and my voice. This a single take, no dub, or splices. It is from my first CD called WAK, a collection of original songs. This is a very angry song, but the beat could be good for working out. Enjoy

THE LIFE THAT IS YOU was recorded at home with just me and the 6 string guitar back in 2000. The recording isn't all that great but it is one of those soulful songs, and one of positivity. Some people you meet change your life in huge ways, this is for one of those people. When I am in concert, this is usually the second or third one I perform. Here's to the songs, here's to the good times, here's to the life that is you.
