As she attests in her testimony song, Chance of A Lifetime, her earlier years were filled with turmoil and uncertainty. However, once she found Jesus, everything began to change! She is now very happily married to the love of her life with three wonderful children. The lyrics and music on her album represent a wonderful seven year journey of intimacy with the Lord, starting with the Holy Spirit’s commission to do a “Worship CD” in 2006 and culminating in the release of “It Is YOU!” in 2013. That same year, the Lord commissioned the writing of the book which Cheryl has named " Looking Forward to Eternity with a Smile On My Face. In it, Cheryl chronicles some of her personal struggles in following the Lord while fighting to overcome reactionary attitudes and behaviors from the past. In the book Cheryl shares a small glimpse of some of her past, but she highlights the goodness of GOD – His tender mercy and loving guidance through it all! The book will be released later this month, and Cheryl’s testimony is that, because of His constant care and loving kindness, His precious personal presence in her life, she is smiling a big smile as she looks forward to spending eternity in even closer intimacy with the true lover of her soul, Jesus Christ! Cheryl is hoping that the book will encourage readers to diligently pursue an enduring, intimate relationship with Jesus.
