Listening to Intuition & Interrupting Old Patterns: The Enemy Within
In this episode of Guiding Frequency, we explore the quiet power of intuition and the patterns within our own minds that sometimes work against us. They may feel like the enemy within. The day began with reflection on a dream and meditation, noticing themes that continued to appear throughout the day. When it came time to choose a poem for this episode, something unexpected happened; the same poem that was shared two episodes ago appeared again. Even though my original plan was to read each poem only once, intuition had other ideas. Instead of pushing past that nudge, I chose to follow it and see what might unfold.Together we reflect on how the mind can fall into familiar loops of self-criticism and doubt, and how gently interrupting those patterns can open space for something new: a deeper sense of love, trust, and devotion toward ourselves. Receiving Goodness: Gentle Horizons
What happens when we finally come out of something difficult and step into something good?In this episode, I explore the often-overlooked challenge of receiving goodness. We know how to survive hard seasons. We know how to endure, push, analyze, and brace ourselves. But when ease, joy, and stability begin to appear, they can feel unfamiliar even uncomfortable. Why is it sometimes harder to receive blessings than to endure struggle? I share reflections inspired by my poem Gentle Horizons from my book The Frequency of Life and speak about the sacred transition from adolescence into adulthood. What I call the “6th house.” That space where resentment, responsibility, and intellect meet and where we begin stepping into the adult role of caring for our own inner child. Creating Kumbaya Within Me
Kumbaya is something that I have rejected most of my life. I mean everything may look that way, but inside I have been a bucket of sarcasm, snarky and angry. This has created a fight within me that I have not let down my fears enough to examine, until now. This episode I start with a small origin story and talk about where I am right now.
