And we need this assurance that we have the forgiveness of our sins. And so the Holy Spirit who is the Lord and Giver of Life makes Christ who has separated from us, by virtue of His ascension, present with us by uniting us with Christ. And so that through that union, we derive life from Christ. Why, because where there is the forgiveness of sins, there is life and salvation. Please text us your thoughts on this episode. We love hearing from you. Gospel Blessings!!Best of 2020s - This is a re-airing of one of our favorite series called Two Keys to Spiritual Growth.Podcast Highlight: "In my experience, church after church that I was a part of I found that many of these innovative liturgies that evangelical churches were feeding me were empty calories that left me hungry.  And so worship increasingly for me became like a diet of cotton candy.  It might taste good at the moment, but later on after eating so much of it, I began to feel sick and malnourished in unsatisfied and craving something more. And so by the grace of God, I began to learn how Christian worship has historically been arranged around Word and Sacrament." -- John FonvilleJohn Fonville’s new book is called Hope and Holiness: How the Gospel Enables and Empowers Sexual Purity.  It comes out this Fall and was based on the current series. BEST OF 2020's - The Four Gardens

Please text us your thoughts on this episode. We love hearing from you. Gospel Blessings!!Originally aired on March 10, 2024, The Four Gardens is one of most beloved messages from John.  It's full of encouragement for spiritual growth.  We hope this message blesses you again as you listen. Also!  Our Re-Formation Conference is just around the corner.  Please take a moment to check out our website!  If it works out, we'd love to meet you there!  Let us know you heard about it on the podcast!www.conference.paramountchurch.com***Who doesn't love a well cared for garden right?  Gardens are incredibly therapeutic. They are incredibly therapeutic.  As we look to scripture, we see there is a theme of at least 4 fascinating garden scenes.  John has studied these 4 places of beauty, and has pulled out the Gospel good news from each of them.  For instance, we have the iconic Garden of Eden that was meant to be a place of sweet fellowship with God, and in the New Testament, we have to the Garden of Gethsamane where Jesus pleaded with his Father. There’s so much to these significant places of cultivation and growth.  Resources:Hope and Holiness: How the Gospel Enables and Empowers Sexual Purityhttps://www.moodypublishers.com/hope-and-holiness?fbclid=IwAR2rE5lUjJWQtmgi0xbQRL9cyt5KlRHunSBL8xBOCCJj3ckfRvzu9lSTZWUAbout JohnJohn Fonville is Pastor of Paramount Church in Jacksonville, Florida. Please text us your thoughts on this episode. We love hearing from you. According to John Fonville, when a Child of God is being crippled by shame and guilt is not life, it’s hell on earth. Christians sometimes say they dread the day when Christ returns because of their past failures.  The series we are currently in explores why Children of God do not have worry about that day.  In contrast, the followers of Satan on that day, will have much to face.  The Children of God and the Children of the Devil, Part 1Resources:Hope and Holiness: How the Gospel Enables and Empowers Sexual Purityhttps://www.moodypublishers.com/hope-and-holiness?fbclid=IwAR2rE5lUjJWQtmgi0xbQRL9cyt5KlRHunSBL8xBOCCJj3ckfRvzu9lSTZWUAbout JohnJohn Fonville is Pastor of Paramount Church in Jacksonville, Florida. Dear God, Lead Me Not into Temptation ...

Please text us your thoughts on this episode. We love hearing from you. Gospel Blessings!!The next phrase in the Lord's Prayer is one that kind of flies by half the time, but it should make us pause and consider.  It goes, “lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from Evil.”  Some translations say, deliver or save us from the Evil one.  This topic is going to take us two messages to get through, and we have a little bit of background to set the stage on how this part of the prayer is also related to the Lord’s Supper.  So, Let’s go ahead and listen in to Part 1 of Righteous Prayer Focuses on the Deliverance of the Father. The Spirit Gives Life: How the 5 Solas Move from History to Our Hearts

Please text us your thoughts on this episode. We love hearing from you. Gospel Blessings!!Welcome back to Him We Proclaim. Today’s message is a powerful continuation in our series on how the five solas of the Reformation aren’t just historical ideas — they are living truths that take root in the hearts of believers. In today’s message, Pastor John Fonville poses a vital question: How do the solas move from the dusty pages of the 16th century into the beating heart of our everyday lives? The answer: The Holy Spirit — the Lord, the Giver of Life. You'll hear how the Spirit doesn’t merely point us to Christ, He creates faith by speaking through the Scriptures — through the gospel — and by illuminating our minds and hearts. As Romans 10 says, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”So stay with us as we explore how the Holy Spirit makes the solas not only understandable, but effective and transformative — bringing us from death to life through the Word of God.* Wittenberg Center for Reformation Studies* Paramount Church on YouTube* Audiobook - Hope and Holiness* Him We Proclaim Daily on 91.7FM, The Truth 9:00A.M Eastern Time. Please text us your thoughts on this episode. We love hearing from you. Gospel Blessings!!Welcome back to Him We Proclaim. Today we continue our special Re-Formation Conference series with a powerful message that gets to the very heart of the gospel: Through Faith Alone.Scripture tells us that faith comes by hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. That’s why gatherings like this matter—because as we hear the truth faithfully proclaimed, the Spirit builds up our faith in Christ. Today we’re joined by Dr. R. Scott Clark—pastor, professor, and host of The Heidelcast podcast—who brings rich historical insight and deep gospel clarity to this core Reformation doctrine. In this episode, Dr. Clark reminds us that our righteousness before God is not based on anything we’ve done, but is fully received by faith alone in the finished work of Christ. It’s not our strength, not our resolve—but simple, saving trust in Jesus that brings us peace with God.Let’s listen now and be encouraged—because this kind of faith doesn’t come from within us ... it comes by hearing the word of Christ.* Wittenberg Center for Reformation Studies* Paramount Church on YouTube* Audiobook - Hope and Holiness* Him We Proclaim Daily on 91.7FM, The Truth 9:00A.M Eastern Time. Please text us your thoughts on this episode. We love hearing from you. Gospel Blessings!!Welcome back to Him We Proclaim.  Today we continue this journey through the 5 Solas from the Re‑Formation Conference in Jacksonville earlier this year. In this episode, we hear from special guest Jonathan Linebaugh, professor at Beeson Divinity School and one of today’s leading Reformation scholars. With clarity and pastoral insight, Linebaugh unpacks the second of the Solas, Sola Gratia, “By Grace Alone.”In a world of relentless pressure to perform, this message is a breath of fresh gospel air.  You’ll hear how salvation is entirely the work of God’s free and sovereign grace—not something we can earn, maintain, or boast about.  If you’re longing for assurance and rest, this is a message to anchor your soul.  * Wittenberg Center for Reformation Studies* Paramount Church on YouTube* Audiobook - Hope and Holiness* Him We Proclaim Daily on 91.7FM, The Truth 9:00A.M Eastern Time. Gospel Blessings!!Today we have a special series and some special guests coming up on the podcast as we bring you highlights from the Re‑Formation Conference 2025 that was held at Paramount Church in Jacksonville, Florida. The theme was : Rediscovering and Proclaiming the 5 Solas Today.  In this first message, we hear from the Reverand Canon Dr. Ashley Null.  Dr. Null is an internationally respected Anglican theologian and was recently elected and consecrated as the second bishop of the Diocese of North Africa in the Province of Alexandria.  He’s known for his groundbreaking work on the theology of Thomas Cranmer, particularly Cranmer’s understanding of Scripture and repentance. His famous quote captures the heart of Reformation anthropology: “What the heart loves, the will chooses, and the mind justifies.” In his message on “By Scripture Alone,” Null shows us how Scripture stands as our ultimate authority—not tradition, not emotion, not popular opinion. This message is a powerful call to return to God’s Word as the source of faith, freedom, and formation. * Audiobook - Hope and Holiness* Him We Proclaim Daily on 91.7FM, The Truth 9:00A.M Eastern Time.
