Ep.157 Children Are a Gift: Stewarding Motherhood God’s Way

In this episode of our 2026 Stewardship Series, we’re talking about one of the greatest gifts — and responsibilities — God entrusts to us: our children.Scripture reminds us that children are a gift from the Lord, a heritage, an inheritance placed into our care. We are not their owners — we are their stewards. And stewardship means careful, responsible, intentional management of what belongs to God.In a culture where the value of children has shifted and motherhood can feel overwhelming, inconvenient, or even burdensome, we return to biblical truth: children are not liabilities — they are legacy. In this episode, we discuss:What stewardship really means in motherhoodWhy children are a blessing and inheritance from GodThe cultural narratives surrounding children today6 practical ways to faithfully steward your children — from modeling God’s principles and teaching life skills, to allowing failure, nurturing their gifts, covering them in prayer, and caring for yourself as their mother. This conversation is not about perfection. It’s about faithfulness. It’s about asking: How am I handling what God has already placed in my hands? If you desire to raise your children with intention, wisdom, and generational impact, this episode is for you.Resources Mentioned in the Show:100 STEWARDSHIP SCRIPTURES: https://share.google/s6xk1Us9zi7bGJ9Zn Psalm 127:3 Article: https://www.gotquestions.org/children-blessing.html What Does the Bible say about abortion? Ep.156 How to Faithfully Steward Your Time

In this episode, we continue our series centered on our 2026 word of the year: Stewardship. We explore what it truly means to steward what God has entrusted to us—and why stewardship matters deeply to God.Focusing specifically on time, we reflect on its eternal value, the biblical responsibility we have to manage it well, and what Scripture says about faithfulness in the “small things.” Through honest reflection, biblical truth, and practical guidance, we confront distractions disguised as rest, unclear priorities, and mental overload that keep us from stewarding our time with intention. This episode invites you to ask a sobering but necessary question: When you stand before the judgment seat, what will God say you did with your time—and how will you account for it?If you’re ready to stop drifting through your days and start living with purpose, peace, and obedience, this episode is for you.Resources Mentioned in the Show:100 STEWARDSHIP SCRIPTURES: https://share.google/s6xk1Us9zi7bGJ9Zn She is Uncompromising by Tatum: https://amzn.to/4ijdIdq The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry: https://amzn.to/482HIVN Jerry Flowers “Time Series”: https://bit.ly/4tayTE8 Resources to Help You on Your JourneyFREE 30-Day Bible Reading Plan for Beginners: https://marvelous-leader-8943.kit.com/1d791b2508 Mom Keys to Mental Peace: 12 Tips to Become a Healthy Mom and Raise Healthy Children by Tari Butler: https://amzn.to/3irvQrj Life Application Study Bible: https://amzn.to/48ojqp7 Lets Connect:Subscribe to MKTMP Podcast: https://bit.ly/4drG9Cz Subscribe to MKTMP YouTube Channel: https://bit.ly/3HBqe86 Subscribe to MKTMP Email List: https://bit.ly/40eOsNA Prayer of SalvationIf you’re ready to invite Jesus into your heart and begin a new life in Him, please pray this prayer with me:"Dear God, I come to You in the name of Jesus. Ep.155 How to Faithfully Steward Your Relationship with God

In this episode, we’re talking about the most important area of stewardship in our lives as Christian moms — our relationship with God. Before we can steward our families, our time, our health, or our finances, we have to learn how to faithfully steward the one relationship that anchors everything else. We’ll walk through three reasons many moms struggle to steward their relationship with God well — seeing it as optional instead of foundational, carrying guilt and pressure around “quiet time,” and trying to do it all in our own strength. Then we’ll explore three practical ways to nurture your walk with God through presence over performance, simple sustainable rhythms, and learning to ask the Holy Spirit for help. This episode is for the mom who loves God but feels busy, distracted, inconsistent, or spiritually tired. You’ll be reminded that stewardship isn’t about perfection — it’s about willingness, dependence, and faithfulness in the season you’re in.Let’s learn to steward what matters most — our relationship with God.Resources Mentioned in the Show:100 STEWARDSHIP SCRIPTURES: https://share.google/s6xk1Us9zi7bGJ9Zn The Power of a Praying Parent Book: https://amzn.to/49Rg1T4The Power of a Praying Wife Book: https://amzn.to/4jJQXRu The Bible App for “Verse of the Day”: https://bit.ly/3NHq3gN Fervent Book: https://bit.ly/3Ux6fupWorship Playlist: https://bit.ly/4a4kT6r Pinterest Prayers: https://bit.ly/4qRCRQ6Resources to Help You on Your JourneyFREE 30-Day Bible Reading Plan for Beginners: https://marvelous-leader-8943.kit.com/1d791b2508 Mom Keys to Mental Peace: 12 Tips to Become a Healthy Mom and Raise Healthy Children by Tari Butler: https://amzn.to/3irvQrj Life Application Study Bible: https://amzn.to/48ojqp7 Lets Connect:Subscribe to MKTMP Podcast: https://bit.ly/4drG9Cz Subscribe to MKTMP YouTube Channel: https://bit.ly/3HBqe86 Subscribe to MKTMP Email List: https://bit.ly/40eOsNA Prayer of SalvationIf you’re ready to invite Jesus into your heart and begin a new life in Him, please pray this prayer with me:"Dear God, I come to You in the name of Jesus. Most Listened to Episode of 2025: Why I Stopped Smoking Weed

As we close out the year, I wanted to reshare the most listened-to episode of the season—an episode I originally recorded in 2023 titled Why I Stopped Smoking Weed. This conversation dives into how our habits impact both our mental and physical health and how the enemy can subtly deceive us into normalizing unhealthy patterns that slowly pull us away from God’s best. I share my personal testimony with smoking weed, what led me to stop, and how God met me right where I was, reminding us what it truly means to “come as you are” to Him. We also explore what the Bible has to say about sobriety and self-control, and I offer encouragement and motivation for anyone who is on a journey toward freedom and staying sober. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for listening, supporting, and growing with me this year. I am so grateful for each of you and I’m looking forward to the new year and all the new episodes, conversations, and growth we’ll share together.Resources Mentioned in Show:Mom Keys to Mental Peace: 12 Tips to Become a Healthy Mom and Raise Healthy Children: https://amzn.to/3irvQrj What the Bible has to say about recreational marijuana use: https://bit.ly/3pVsPUx  What is “pharmakeia” in the Bible: https://bit.ly/43I2bw6 The Activity of Demonic Spirits by Stephanie Ike: https://bit.ly/3Kd6ZT6 Resources to Help You on Your JourneyFREE 30-Day Bible Reading Plan for Beginners: https://marvelous-leader-8943.kit.com/1d791b2508 Mom Keys to Mental Peace: 12 Tips to Become a Healthy Mom and Raise Healthy Children by Tari Butler: https://amzn.to/3irvQrj Life Application Study Bible: https://amzn.to/48ojqp7 Lets Connect:Subscribe to MKTMP Podcast: https://bit.ly/4drG9Cz Subscribe to MKTMP YouTube Channel: https://bit.ly/3HBqe86 Subscribe to MKTMP Email List: https://bit.ly/40eOsNA Prayer of SalvationIf you’re ready to invite Jesus into your heart and begin a new life in Him, please pray this prayer with me:"Dear God, I come to You in the name of Jesus. Ep.154 Life Lessons from 2025: Small Beginnings, Obedience, and the Pace of Grace

As 2025 comes to a close, I’m reflecting on five life lessons God taught me this year — lessons about health, obedience, rest, and the power of small, intentional moments. In this episode, I open up about my ongoing health and fitness struggles, emotional eating, and how God has been confronting deeper heart issues rather than surface habits. We talk about why what worked in one season may not work in the next, and how God often calls us to a slower, more intentional way of living.I also share why “something is better than nothing,” how an all-or-nothing mindset keeps us stuck, and why small beginnings matter deeply to God (Zechariah 4:10). From micro-money habits to family Bible studies, this episode is a reminder that consistency over time produces fruit — even when progress feels slow. Finally, we talk about obedience, waiting on God’s timing, and why we don’t always need a “new word” from God — sometimes we just need to finish what He already told us to do.If you’ve felt discouraged, tempted to rush your process, or frustrated by slow growth, this episode will encourage you to live at the pace of grace and trust God with the timeline.Resources Mentioned in the Show:Micro Money Habits: IG:@thebrokblackgirlResources to Help You on Your JourneyFREE 30-Day Bible Reading Plan for Beginners: https://marvelous-leader-8943.kit.com/1d791b2508 Mom Keys to Mental Peace: 12 Tips to Become a Healthy Mom and Raise Healthy Children by Tari Butler: https://amzn.to/3irvQrj Life Application Study Bible: https://amzn.to/48ojqp7 Lets Connect:Subscribe to MKTMP Podcast: https://bit.ly/4drG9Cz Subscribe to MKTMP YouTube Channel: https://bit.ly/3HBqe86 Subscribe to MKTMP Email List: https://bit.ly/40eOsNA Prayer of SalvationIf you’re ready to invite Jesus into your heart and begin a new life in Him, please pray this prayer with me:"Dear God, I come to You in the name of Jesus. Ep.153 Faith Over Forgetfulness: Building a Life That Remembers God Well

In this episode, we’re talking about something most of us struggle with but rarely admit: forgetting the goodness of God. As we approach the end of the year and step into a season of reflection and gratitude, the Holy Spirit reminded me how easily we can slip into worry, fear, and doubt simply because we forget what God has already done.We walk through the stories of Jesus feeding the 5,000 and the 4,000, and how—even after witnessing multiple miracles—the disciples still asked, “Where will we get enough?” Their response mirrors ours more than we like to admit. One challenge arises, and suddenly we panic, overlook God’s track record, and start problem-solving in our own strength. In today’s episode, I share how God has been correcting me in this area, especially during a recent season of uncertainty. I also give you five practical ways to build a lifestyle of remembering God’s faithfulness so that gratitude becomes daily—not seasonal—and your faith grows stronger with every memory. If you’ve been wrestling with worry, anxiety, or doubt, this episode will gently remind you that God has never failed you…and He’s not starting now.📝 Homework:Create a “God Has Been Faithful” list: Write down at least 10 moments from this year where God came through for you (big or small).Start a gratitude rhythm: Pick a time each day to write 3 things you’re grateful for. Keep them in your Notes app, a journal, or a sticky note jar.Share a testimony: Tell at least one person about something God has done for you — this strengthens your memory and their faith.Resources Mentioned in the Show:“How to Tell the Truth” book by Preston Perry: https://amzn.to/3zJC3YvResources to Help You on Your JourneyFREE 30-Day Bible Reading Plan for Beginners: https://marvelous-leader-8943.kit.com/1d791b2508 Mom Keys to Mental Peace: 12 Tips to Become a Healthy Mom and Raise Healthy Children by Tari Butler: https://amzn.to/3irvQrj Life Application Study Bible: https://amzn.to/48ojqp7 Lets Connect:Subscribe to MKTMP Podcast: https://bit.ly/4drG9Cz Subscribe to MKTMP YouTube Channel: https://bit.ly/3HBqe86 Subscribe to MKTMP Email List: https://bit.ly/40eOsNA Prayer of SalvationIf you’re ready to invite Jesus into your heart and begin a new life in Him, please pray this prayer with me:"Dear God, I come to You in the name of Jesus. Ep.152 How to Tell When God is Testing You vs. When the Enemy is Tempting You

In this episode, I’m opening up about how God has been dealing with me in a very personal area — my relationship with food. What started as a simple conviction about sweets turned into a deeper lesson about temptation versus testing. We’ll look at three powerful Bible stories — Eve in the garden, Abraham on the mountain, and Jesus in the wilderness — to learn how to recognize when God is testing us and when the enemy is tempting us. You’ll discover that while temptation tries to pull us away from obedience, testing pushes us closer to God.This episode will help you reflect on your own struggles, identify what keeps pulling at your flesh, and learn how to respond in faith instead of frustration.📝 Homework:Identify your triggers. Write down what situations, emotions, or environments lead you to give in to your temptation. (e.g., stress, boredom, comfort, celebration)Label it honestly.Ask yourself: “Is this a temptation to disobey, or a test to strengthen my faith?”Set one boundary this week. Create one simple step of obedience — like limiting sweets, scrolling, or gossip — and commit to honoring that boundary.Pray before you act. Each time you feel pulled toward the temptation, pause and pray: “Lord, help me choose obedience over indulgence.”Resources Mentioned in the Show:Temptation Article: https://answersingenesis.org/adam-and-eve/learning-from-temptation-of-eve/?srsltid=AfmBOorSpEbHWLEf7lhWIRc_T3e6nx5Q8fj6-KefltYWrFnL0b-X7iBI Resources to Help You on Your JourneyFREE 30-Day Bible Reading Plan for Beginners: https://marvelous-leader-8943.kit.com/1d791b2508 Mom Keys to Mental Peace: 12 Tips to Become a Healthy Mom and Raise Healthy Children by Tari Butler: https://amzn.to/3irvQrj Life Application Study Bible: https://amzn.to/48ojqp7 Lets Connect:Subscribe to MKTMP Podcast: https://bit.ly/4drG9Cz Subscribe to MKTMP YouTube Channel: https://bit.ly/3HBqe86 Subscribe to MKTMP Email List: https://bit.ly/40eOsNA Prayer of SalvationIf you’re ready to invite Jesus into your heart and begin a new life in Him, please pray this prayer with me:"Dear God, I come to You in the name of Jesus. Ep.151 I Wanted to Give Up Podcasting

In this episode, I open up about a season of discouragement, comparison, and questioning my purpose as a podcaster. I share what it’s really been like behind the mic — from wrestling with analytics and consistency to learning how to obey God even when it doesn’t make sense. If you’ve ever wanted to quit something God called you to, this episode will remind you that your faithfulness still matters, even when you can’t see the fruit yet.Resources Mentioned in the Show:You are Not Behind: Building a Life You Love Without Having Everything You Want: https://www.amazon.com/You-Are-Not-Behind-Everything/dp/0736988238 Resources to Help You on Your JourneyFREE 30-Day Bible Reading Plan for Beginners: https://marvelous-leader-8943.kit.com/1d791b2508 Mom Keys to Mental Peace: 12 Tips to Become a Healthy Mom and Raise Healthy Children by Tari Butler: https://amzn.to/3irvQrj Life Application Study Bible: https://amzn.to/48ojqp7 Lets Connect:Subscribe to MKTMP Podcast: https://bit.ly/4drG9Cz Subscribe to MKTMP YouTube Channel: https://bit.ly/3HBqe86 Subscribe to MKTMP Email List: https://bit.ly/40eOsNA Prayer of SalvationIf you’re ready to invite Jesus into your heart and begin a new life in Him, please pray this prayer with me:"Dear God, I come to You in the name of Jesus. Ep.150 Does Following Jesus Mean a Boring Life?

In this episode, I’m tackling the stereotype that Christianity is boring. For years, strict church traditions and legalism made it seem like following Jesus meant no fun, no freedom, and no joy. But that couldn’t be further from the truth! We’ll look at the history behind this stereotype, what the Bible really says about joy and abundant life, and how to shift our definition of “fun” to align with God’s best for us. By the end, you’ll see that Christianity isn’t dull—it’s alive, Spirit-filled, and full of purpose.Resources Mentioned in the Show:Christian R&B Playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/37i9dQZF1E4CNiYjHZag7T?si=hiplDzCCSF-CgMgUYwNWPQ Christian girl travel with (Amani Wortham) https://youtu.be/TCZfLBE8SVk?si=8YGyFpZPyhZRkyTl 📝 Homework:Try Something New: This week, do one “fun” activity that honors God (like a Christian concert, small group hangout, creative hobby, or outdoor adventure). Ep.149 Sis, He's Not Your God: 5 Signs You're Idolizing Men

In this episode, I’m sharing a message the Lord placed heavily on my heart about the quiet epidemic of women idolizing men and romance. From “boy-crazy” childhood messages in media, to personal stories from my own life, we’ll uncover the signs that you may be putting a man in God’s place and the practical steps to break free from that cycle. We’ll talk about:5 signs you might be idolizing men or romance5 ways to stop centering men in your lifeWhat Jesus meant when He offered “Living Water” to the Samaritan woman in John 4How to root your worth and identity in Christ aloneThis isn’t a message of judgment—it’s a message of freedom. God wants to fill the spaces you’ve been trying to satisfy with men and give you the peace, clarity, and wholeness only He can provide.📝 Homework:1. Journal Reflection: Write down 3 ways you may have placed men (or marriage) in God’s rightful place in your heart. Be honest, even if it’s uncomfortable.2. Scripture Anchor: Meditate on Ephesians 2:10 (you are God’s masterpiece) and John 4:13–14 (Jesus as the Living Water). Write down what these verses mean for your identity.3. Practical Step: Take a 7-day break from any content that triggers romantic idolization (rom-coms, love songs, celebrity couples on IG). Replace that time with prayer, worship, or something that nurtures your personal gifts.Resources Mentioned in the Show:With the Perry’s Podcast: Christian Dating is Hard: https://youtu.be/ac-TrYUD8R4?si=RSIewhKOGLQYNTBdDecentering Men: How to Build a Life that Doesn’t Revolve Around Romance| To My Sisters Podcast: https://youtu.be/RqmlezRLvRA?si=UOKZNoy9cyJkmyf_ Resources to Help You on Your JourneyFREE 30-Day Bible Reading Plan for Beginners: https://marvelous-leader-8943.kit.com/1d791b2508 Mom Keys to Mental Peace: 12 Tips to Become a Healthy Mom and Raise Healthy Children by Tari Butler: https://amzn.to/3irvQrj Life Application Study Bible: https://amzn.to/48ojqp7 Lets Connect:-Subscribe to MKTMP Podcast: https://bit.ly/4drG9Cz -Subscribe to MKTMP YouTube Channel: https://bit.ly/3HBqe86 -Subscribe to MKTMP Email List: https://bit.ly/40eOsNA Prayer of SalvationIf you’re ready to invite Jesus into your heart and begin a new life in Him, please pray this prayer with me:"Dear God, I come to You in the name of Jesus. Ep.147 Forgiving the Unforgivable: Lessons from the Netflix Movie "Unknown Number"

In this episode, I’m sharing some insights God gave me while watching the Netflix documentary Unknown Number: The High School Catfish. If you’ve seen it, you know it’s about two teens who were harassed by nonstop text messages—only for it to be revealed that the person behind it all was someone shockingly close to them. Watching how people reacted to the mom online—so quick to judge, tear down, and call her every name in the book—made me pause. It reminded me that as believers, we have to check ourselves. Yes, what she did was wrong. But there’s no sin too big for God’s forgiveness, and He expects us to extend that same forgiveness to others—even when we feel like they don’t deserve it.I share a personal story of how I had to forgive a family member who hurt me with their words, and how the Holy Spirit convicted me when I wanted to hold onto an apology before I would talk to them again. I also tie in the story of Jonah, who didn’t want Nineveh to receive mercy because, in his eyes, they weren’t worthy. But the truth is—none of us are worthy. Yet God still forgives. The heart of this episode is simple: forgiveness isn’t about who deserves it. It’s about being obedient to God and remembering how much He’s forgiven us.Resources Mentioned in the Show:Netflix Movie: Unknown Number: The High School CatfishThe Book of JonahResources to Help You on Your JourneyFREE 30-Day Bible Reading Plan for Beginners: https://marvelous-leader-8943.kit.com/1d791b2508 Mom Keys to Mental Peace: 12 Tips to Become a Healthy Mom and Raise Healthy Children by Tari Butler: https://amzn.to/3irvQrj Life Application Study Bible: https://amzn.to/48ojqp7 Let's ConnectSubscribe to MKTMP Podcast: https://bit.ly/4drG9Cz Subscribe to MKTMP YouTube Channel: https://bit.ly/3HBqe86 Subscribe to MKTMP Email List: https://bit.ly/40eOsNA Prayer of SalvationIf you’re ready to invite Jesus into your heart and begin a new life in Him, please pray this prayer with me:"Dear God, I come to You in the name of Jesus. In this episode, we unpack Romans 6 to explore what sanctification really means. We'll talk about how God's grace isn't a pass to keep sinning, how to recognize the difference between your old nature and your new identity in Christ, and how to lean on the Holy Spirit for true transformation—not behavior modification. Ep.144 Interrupt the Pattern: Breaking Generational Cycles

In this episode, we’re talking about the hidden patterns that often pass through generations—cycles of silence, trauma, and sin that shape families without anyone realizing it. These patterns may have been normalized or buried, but God is calling you to recognize them and interrupt them. We’ll explore how generational cycles take root, why they persist, and what Scripture says about breaking free from them. You’ll be challenged to reflect, pray, and step into your role as a generational curse breaker. It may not have started with you—but with God, it can stop with you. This is your invitation to start a new legacy.📝 Homework:1. Identify the Pattern: Write down 1–3 recurring patterns you've noticed in your family (use the list from the episode as a guide).2. Trace the Roots: Try to identify the origin or possible trigger of the pattern. Who else in your family has struggled with this? Where might it have started?3. Scripture Reflection: Read Romans 12:2, Exodus 20:5-6, and James 1:5. Journal your thoughts on how these scriptures give you permission, wisdom, and power to disrupt harmful patterns.4. Ep.134 The Elephant in the Room: Why Millennial Parents Don't Allow Sleepovers Anymore

In this deeply honest and emotional episode, I unpack the real reason many millennial parents are saying “no” to sleepovers. Ep.133 "Being" Over "Doing": When God Calls You to Be Still

In this episode, I share how God has been challenging me to slow down, be still, and embrace the power of simply being. As women and mothers, we often carry an invisible weight—the pressure to “do it all.” From maintaining our homes, excelling at work, caring for others, staying fit, and being spiritual leaders in our homes, it’s easy to lose ourselves in the hustle. But God is calling us back to His original design: intimacy, connection, and abiding. We explore what it means to remain connected to the vine (John 15:4-5), why stillness is a command, not a suggestion (Psalm 46:10), and how cultural pressures, comparison, and burnout contribute to our resistance to rest. If you’ve ever felt guilty for slowing down or questioned your worth outside of your work, this episode is for you.Resources Mentioned in the Show:Kylia Jackson: 24 Hours of Silence: https://youtu.be/Uph3tYI71f0?si=EQt2_daxpcJQua0u📝 Homework: Choose one intentional way to practice being this week:Take a 10-minute silent walk without music or a podcast.Have one car ride in complete silence to tune in to God's voice.Spend 5–10 minutes in stillness before you start your day—no journaling, no praying aloud—just be with God.Write down the things you feel pressured to do and ask: “Did God ask me to do this, or am I striving out of guilt or comparison?”Lets Connect:Subscribe to MKTMP Podcast: https://bit.ly/4drG9Cz Subscribe to MKTMP YouTube Channel: https://bit.ly/3HBqe86 Subscribe to MKTMP Email List: https://bit.ly/40eOsNA Prayer of SalvationIf you’re ready to invite Jesus into your heart and begin a new life in Him, please pray this prayer with me:"Dear God, I come to You in the name of Jesus. This episode is an honest reflection on the enemy’s attempt to end two lives, the unwavering love I’ve experienced from family and friends, and the beautiful path to healing and forgiveness I’ve walked ever since. My story is a reminder of Romans 8:28—how God works all things together for good, even when we can't yet see it.Reflect: Think of a time you felt broken and defeated.
