    Treasure Hunting, part 1

Kathy Spaulding. ‘Tis the season to shop – at least, that's what the world would tell us. Many people spend countless hours looking for the best deals to give the most wanted gifts. Have you considered what you truly treasure? What lengths are you willing to go to to acquire it? During this series we’ll explore how the world influences us to treasure things, and what Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:19-24: "Lay [our] treasures in heaven for that is where [our] heart will be."

How to Steer Your Sex Drive

Bill Menser. Single. Married. Straight. Gay. Queer. Trans. Cis. Our cultural moment puts so much emphasis on gender and sexual expression that it makes one wonder: what does it mean to be human? Who am I? Who has the authority to answer that question? The Bible teaches that we are uniquely made in the image of God and that only He has the authority to impart identity. Christians: “You are not your own; you were bought at a price” (1 Cor. 6:20). Jesus suffered and died to offer you eternal meaning. Purpose. God-given, soul-satisfying identity in Christ alone.

    River Sunday | November 3rd, 2024

This special service is dedicated to praising God, listening to His voice, and responding as the Holy Spirit moves. As a church body we value getting even stronger at corporately hosting God's presence and being challenged by the call to participate in what he's doing. Come with expectation and readiness to share what the Holy Spirit has put in you.

    Guest Speaker Pastor Dennis Sager

Dennis and Kaku lead a church in Izu, Japan where only 1 in 1,000 people are Christians. New Day has supported their ministry for 30 years and look forward to their annual visits and updates. It's such an honor for us to be a part of what they are doing on the other side of the world.

    Part 2

Pastor Marilee: The word allegiance means to give your loyalty, support, and commitment - to give a cause or country higher value than yourself. By such loyalty, many patriots have fought and died to protect their countrymen. But only one man died to protect us all from the effects of sin and death. Jesus committed himself to the cause of redeeming humanity. The only proper response is to commit our lives to him in return. In this series, we will consider how to pledge allegiance to Jesus as King. We will consider what it looks like to value his kingdom above all else, especially in light of the pressure to align ourselves with political causes and candidates. “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ” (Philippians 3:20).

    Koinonia Part 2

Bill & Marilee Menser. This Greek word describes how God intends his people to fellowship, participate, partner, and contribute in the Kingdom. We are called to fellowship with one another through our connection to Father, Son, and Spirit. With the communion bread and cup, we participate in the body and blood of Christ. By giving our time, energy, and finances we partner with ministers of the Gospel. And empowered by the Holy Spirit, we all have much to contribute in word and deed. What a rich Kingdom word: Koinonia!

    Heart Matters, Part 4

Pastor Bill. Your heart matters! The Bible says that everything you do flows from your heart (Prov. 4:23). It’s the emotional root system of a human. A tree with good roots produces good fruit; a tree with bad roots produces bad fruit. And the mouth speaks what the heart is full of (Matt. 12:33-34). In this series, we will investigate issues of the heart, explore how God can heal us at the deepest level, and experience greater freedom in Jesus!

    Christian Living

Pastor Marilee & Kathy Spaulding. We all have questions! – especially when so much confusion swirls around us in this world. Everywhere we turn, loud voices champion their views on life, on relationships, and even their opinions about God. In this series, we’ll turn to Scripture to unpack important issues we face in our society. We can ground our thinking in God’s Word, act accordingly as Jesus' followers, and prepare ourselves to respond to these issues in the conversations we have with others.

He is Risen - Easter Sunday

In this 4-part series, we will walk the road to resurrection with Jesus. On the road through Jericho, anticipation builds as Jesus gives sight to the blind and salvation to a tax collector. The road into Jerusalem explodes in celebration as crowds shout: “Hosanna!” Suffering marks the road leading to his crucifixion. And finally, he rises victorious and equips his disciples before taking the road of resurrection to the right hand of the Father in heaven.

A message from Pastors Bill & Marilee Menser

  38. 875

    Fullness in Christ

Pastor Bill. In 2024, the Lord is calling us as a church family to put down roots. We seek to anchor ourselves to the truth of God’s Word, personally to Him by the Holy Spirit, and relationally to one another as we pursue the unique callings of this body: New Day Community Church. In Colossians 2:6-10, the apostle Paul writes encouragement for believers to be rooted, built up, and established in Christ. Some roots will be new, and some will form as a re-establishment of roots affected by trying times or drought. Join us in putting down ever-growing roots into Jesus.

    New Year's Eve Service

Pastors Bill & Marilee Menser. As 2023 comes to an end, we look back full of thankfulness for what God has done this year. This service will be a time of celebrating all the ways we have grown in 2023. We will also look forward to what God has in store for the coming year. Pastors Bill and Marilee will share direction for our church in 2024 and invite you to seek God for areas of focus for the new year. “But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water…” Jeremiah 17:7

    Christmas Eve Service

    Malachi Part 3

Kathy Spaulding. Malachi touches on many themes that have been built, layer upon layer, over thousands of years in the Old Testament. This little book activates deep, rich Biblical motifs like covenant faithfulness, blessing, and messianic hope while calling God’s people back to him. Malachi also tees up expectations for a messenger to prepare the way for the Messiah. God’s people waited 400 years with that hope in mind, but we get the benefit of turning a single page in our Bible to read how Jesus fulfilled every promise. He gave his life to establish a new covenant, a new kingdom, and a new creation.
