Are UFOs Demonic? What the Bible Actually Says!

The US government is preparing to release classified files on unidentified craft and materials of alleged non-human origin — and before a single file has dropped, pastors are reportedly being warned to prepare their congregations. In this podcast, I want to cut through the noise and ask the question that actually matters: what does Scripture teach Christians to do when something arrives that looks like truth, carries the weight of authority, and is designed to pull people away from Jesus? We look at the biblical category of deception, what the tradition has always said about non-human intelligence, and why the method of manifestation has never changed the test. Not conspiracy. Not panic. Just biblical clarity for an unsettled moment. This is a public episode. The People Are Speaking. Is The Church Of England Listening?

Something is happening across the Church of England — and it is not coming from the institution.Since this series began, something has been stirring. Not just on this channel. Not just through the work of Save the Parish. But in the comments sections, in PCC meetings, and now in the letters pages of the national press.Last week the Daily Telegraph published four letters about the state of the Church of England. Four people, from four different counties, writing independently, saying what three videos in this series have been building toward. And two of those letters come from people in my own deanery — two miles from this parish. In this video I read all four letters and respond to each one honestly. I also address the question that keeps coming up in the comments: if one vicar one church is the answer, where are the vicars going to come from? And I want to tell you something about what is happening here, in Chalfont St Giles, that I think matters for this conversation. The people are speaking. Is the Church of England listening? 21 Churches. 2 Priests. 167 Objections. This Is Happening Now!

The Church of England is proposing to put 21 churches under 2 priests in one deanery in Cornwall. 167 people have formally objected. A hearing is being held this month to decide whether it goes ahead anyway. This is not a hypothetical. This is Kerrier deanery in the Diocese of Truro. And the diocese's own documents are making the case against this model better than any critic could. This is the third video in a series. If you haven't seen videos one and two, I've linked them below.Videos in this series:Video 1 — The Church Knows What Works... So Why Is Your Vicar Disappearing?Video 2 — When The Shepherds Go... Is Your Church Still Teaching The Gospel? The hearing:13 May 2026, Maritime Museum, FalmouthIf your deanery is facing something similar:Your right to object is a statutory right under the Mission and Pastoral Measure 2011 — not a courtesy. Objections are called representations and are submitted to the Church Commissioners' Mission, Pastoral and Church Property Committee. Anyone may object, not just directly affected parties. Objections must be considered. If the Commissioners proceed despite objections they must give written reasons to every objector. There is a further right of appeal to the Privy Council on questions of law.The most practical plain-English guide to the process is the Save the Parish how-to-object page:savetheparish.com/how-to-objectAll current Church Commissioners consultation cases are listed here:churchofengland.org/resources/parish-reorganisation-and-closed-church-buildings/mission-pastoral-church-propertySource used in this video:Church Times — Church Commissioners to hold hearing on proposal for 21-church benefice in Truro diocese (1 May 2026) - https://www.churchtimes.co.uk/articles/2026/1-may/news/uk/church-commissioners-to-hold-hearing-on-proposal-for-21-church-benefice-in-truro-diocese This is a public episode. Which King Charles Do You Actually Believe?

King Charles stood before the United States Congress and called the Christian faith his firm anchor and daily inspiration. He invoked Easter. He spoke of hope and prayer. But this is the same man whose Christmas messages have consistently placed Christianity alongside all the great faiths as one voice in a shared moral chorus. Both speeches were scripted. Both were approved. Both went out in his name.So which one is real and what does the difference reveal, not just about the King, but about all of us?In this podcast, I look carefully at what Charles said in Congress, set it alongside his Christmas 2024 and 2025 messages, unpack the Isaiah passage he quoted and what he left out, and ask what faithful Christian witness actually requires from a monarch, and from us. When The Shepherds Go… Is Your Church Still Teaching The Gospel

Something fills the space when shepherds go.And the question we’re now facing in the Church of England is whether what replaces them is still the gospel… or something else.In this podcast, I respond to the conversation many of you have been raising since the last one. The structural crisis is real. But underneath it sits a deeper issue: theological drift, thinning orthodox voices, and a generation of leaders still waiting when they may be needed most. This isn’t about outrage. It’s about clarity. What does faithfulness look like when the institution is drifting? And who is going to hold the line? This is a public episode. The Church Knows What Works... So Why Is Your Vicar Disappearing?

The Church of England knows what grows churches. They commissioned the research. They published the findings. They ran a pilot — and the pilot collapsed. So why are they doing it again? In this podcast, I walk through the 2014 Church Growth Research Programme, the Wigan pilot project, the Chote audit of £176 million of Strategic Development Funding, and the pension correction now driving clergy cuts across the country — from Leicester to Truro to Kingston. This is not commentary. This is the Church's own evidence, against itself. The Church of England Crisis... What Faithful Christians Need To Do Right Now

The Church of England is not lost. But it is contested. And what happens in the next few months will determine whether the window for biblical faithfulness stays open or closes for a generation. In this podcast, I walk through what actually happened with the Living in Love and Faith project, why the vote to end it was more complicated than the headlines suggested, and what the upcoming General Synod elections mean for ordinary Christians in ordinary parishes. The Church Is Spending £100 Million And It Isn't On You!

The Church Commissioners have committed £100 million to Project Spire, a reparations fund for historic links to the slave trade. But the history it rests on is being challenged by serious scholars. The legal basis is uncertain. And 81% of Anglicans say this is not what they want their Church to spend money on.Meanwhile parishes are closing. Vicarages sit empty. Clergy are burning out.In this video I walk through what Project Spire actually is, what the evidence does and doesn’t show, and what faithful Christians can do when the institution they love loses sight of the people it was built to serve. Trump Posted Himself as Jesus - We Need to Talk About That!

This image should make every Christian pause.Donald Trump posted an AI image of himself as Jesus Christ — healing the sick, clothed in light, surrounded by national power — and in the same moment publicly attacked the Pope. That combination matters more than people realise. In this podcast, I walk through what actually happened, the response from his own supporters, and why this isn’t just another online moment you scroll past. There’s a deeper pattern here — and if we miss it, we risk losing clarity about who Jesus is and who He is not. This isn’t about left or right. Why This March Against Christian Nationalism Will Push More People Towards It!

More than a thousand people marched through central London as part of the Together Alliance, under the banner of opposing Christian nationalism. But I want to argue that this march will not weaken Christian nationalism — it will push more people towards it.In this video I want to be honest about both sides. I am not a Christian nationalist, and I have spoken about that before on this channel. But I also think the response represented by this march misunderstands the problem, misreads the people it is trying to reach, and repeats the same mistake the Church keeps making — condemning the fruit while watering the root.We need a Church that holds grace and truth together. Not a Church that is captured by the left. Not a Church that is captured by the right. But a Church faithful enough to challenge everyone — including itself. This is a public episode. Is Britain Under Judgement?

People keep saying Britain needs to return to God, or that the nation is under judgement. It sounds biblical, but are we using the Bible rightly? In this podcast, I ask whether Britain can be spoken about like Israel, and why that matters. We look at what made Israel unique, what changes in the New Testament, and why the Church, not the nation, now sits at the centre of God’s purposes.Scripture is clear that nations are accountable to God, but Britain is not in the same covenant place as Israel. If we get that wrong, we will misplace our hope. This calls us back to something deeper: not panic about the nation, but faithfulness in the Church. Not fear, but confidence that Christ is on the throne and building His people. If you’re unsure how to think biblically about what’s happening in the culture, this is for you.Join the Faithful Remnant on Substack for all exclusive content. King Charles Said Nothing About Easter — And Everyone Heard It!

Buckingham Palace confirmed this week that King Charles III will not be issuing an Easter message this year. The internet erupted — and almost immediately, the conversation turned to Islam. In this video, Rev Dan unpacks what actually happened, why the reaction on social media is doing more harm than good, and why the silence around Easter may have done more for the Christian faith than any message ever could have.As Supreme Governor of the Church of England, the King has a responsibility that goes beyond scheduling. The Church Is Losing Its People… And It Shows!

The Church of England is not just facing decline, it is facing disconnection. In this podcast, we step back from the headlines about church bells, VAT changes, and church schools to ask a deeper question: what is really going wrong? Because when you look closely, these are not isolated issues. They point to something more serious — a growing distance between the Church and the ordinary people it is called to serve. The Real Reason Vicars Are Burning Out!

Thousands of Church of England clergy may be struggling with depression and burnout, but the deeper issue is not simply exhaustion. Something more fundamental may be shifting beneath the surface. In this video, I explore what is really happening in pastoral ministry today, why the pressure on clergy feels different, and what it reveals about the direction of the Church. This is not just about tired leaders. It is about what happens when we begin to lose sight of what a pastor is actually for.We look at the growing weight of administration, expectations, and responsibility, and how that can slowly reshape ministry from shepherding people to managing systems. And we bring Scripture to bear on this moment, asking what faithful ministry should look like when everything feels stretched. This is a call to clarity, not panic. The Gen Z Revival That Wasn’t — And What Faithfulness Looks Like Now!

The report that claimed Gen Z was returning to church has now been withdrawn. After months of headlines suggesting a “quiet revival,” the Bible Society’s report The Quiet Revival has been pulled following concerns about data reliability and survey methodology. What many believed was a clear sign of renewal can no longer be confidently supported. So what do we do with that?In this podcast, I walk through what actually happened, why the story spread so quickly, and what this moment reveals about where we place our hope as Christians. Because this is not just about statistics. It is about how easily we can attach our confidence to visible momentum rather than to the steady work of God. This is a public episode. This Isn’t Just Law - It’s a Moral Shift!

What happened in the House of Lords may sound like a careful legal change, but it reveals something much deeper about how our culture now speaks about life, compassion, and responsibility. In this video, I walk through what was proposed, what it means, and why this moment carries real moral and spiritual weight for Christians today.Drawing on Scripture, we explore how the value of life is not something we assign, but something given by God, and why clarity matters just as much as compassion in a time of growing confusion. Prince William’s “Quiet Faith” Raises a Bigger Question About Britain

Prince William has spoken about his “quiet faith” and his sense of duty to the Church of England ahead of a major moment at Canterbury Cathedral. But this raises a deeper question that goes far beyond one person. In this podcast, we look at what has actually been said, what it reveals about the way faith is increasingly understood in modern Britain, and why the distinction between respecting Christianity and following Christ really matters. This is not about judging someone’s heart. It is about asking whether faith can remain meaningful if it becomes private, undefined, and disconnected from worship, confession, and discipleship. This is a public episode. Britain Is Leaving Christianity

In recent weeks several surprising stories have appeared in the news. Bible sales in Britain are rising. Major podcasts are discussing the historical case for Jesus. Secular commentators are beginning to ask whether the Bible might offer something our culture has lost.At the same time, surveys show that Britain continues to drift away from its Christian identity. Church attendance has declined, moral confidence has weakened, and many people feel that the country has lost a shared sense of right and wrong. So what is really happening? This is a public episode. Are Good People Going to Hell?

A short clip from the podcast Diary of a CEO recently sparked a huge debate online. CANTERBURY SIDELINED - The Abuja Affirmation Explained

In this podcast, I look at the Abuja Affirmation, the statement released at the 2026 GAFCON gathering in Abuja, Nigeria, where Anglican bishops and leaders from across the Global South met to discuss the future of the Anglican Communion. The statement announces the development of a Global Anglican Communion structure centred on the Jerusalem Declaration, and calls for a reordering of the Communion after what its authors describe as the failure of the traditional Instruments of Communion to uphold biblical doctrine and discipline. What does this actually mean for Anglicans around the world? A New Anglican Communion?

Is the centre of gravity in the Anglican world beginning to shift? At the recent GAFCON gathering in Abuja, leaders announced the formation of a Global Anglican Council, a new structure intended to strengthen cooperation between provinces committed to historic Anglican teaching. For some, this is simply organisational reform. For others, it represents a deeper question about authority, unity, and the future of the Anglican Communion. In this podcast, I look at what was actually announced in Abuja, why GAFCON leaders believe change is necessary, and how this moment relates to wider conversations across the Communion about doctrine, discipline, and leadership. We will also explore the broader context. At the same time as GAFCON has been meeting, the Anglican Consultative Council has been considering the Nairobi–Cairo proposals, which explore reforms to the Communion’s structures and the role of Canterbury. Two different responses to the same crisis are unfolding at the same time. For ordinary Anglicans sitting in the pews, the question is not about institutional politics but about something much more important:Will the global Anglican church remain rooted in the authority of Scripture and the historic faith once delivered to the saints? What the Epstein Files Reveal About Power?

The renewed attention around the Epstein files has forced many people to confront a deeply uncomfortable reality. The allegations are serious, the suffering behind them is real, and the questions they raise about power, influence, and accountability are not easy to answer. In this podcast I step back from the noise and speculation to think carefully about what scandals like this reveal about the nature of power itself. Scripture has never been naïve about the human heart. From Genesis to the New Testament the Bible repeatedly warns that influence without accountability can distort judgment, conceal wrongdoing, and gradually reshape how people see themselves and others. But the Christian response cannot be outrage alone. The Kingdom of Christ presents a radically different vision of authority. Where worldly power seeks insulation and protection, Christ reveals authority through truth, humility, and sacrificial leadership. As Christians we must resist both cynicism and spectacle. Instead we are called to pursue accountability, protect the vulnerable, examine our own communities honestly, and remember that every earthly system will ultimately answer to the risen King. This By Election Is Testing the Church!

As the Gorton & Denton by-election reshapes the political landscape, Christians must ask a deeper question. What is this moment revealing about where our hope truly rests? In this podcast, I explore why believers must engage in politics without becoming captive to it, how quickly political loyalties can shift, and why the Church’s steadiness matters more than electoral momentum. This is not about endorsing parties or baptising manifestos. It is about forming Kingdom-shaped disciples in an age of volatility. We look at what Scripture teaches about trust, citizenship, and judgment beginning with the household of God, and why the long road to 2029 is not just a political season but a discipleship season. General Synod’s LLF Vote What Was Decided — And What Wasn’t!

Last week General Synod voted to conclude the Living in Love and Faith process. Headlines quickly declared that the Church of England had “abandoned” same-sex blessing plans. But what was actually decided? And what does the vote really mean for the future direction of the Church? In this podcast, I walk carefully through the motion, the amendments, and the vote by Houses. We look at what passed, what failed, why the bishops voted as they did, and how different media outlets framed the outcome. More importantly, we ask the deeper question beneath the sexuality debate: what does this moment reveal about authority, Scripture, unity, and the coherence of the Church? This was not a final theological settlement. Who Decides What Gets Preached in Church?

This week, reports emerged that clergy in the Diocese of London are being encouraged to address anti-racism in sermons as part of a wider racial-justice initiative. While Christians are called to love our neighbour and oppose racism, this raises a deeper question: what must always remain at the centre of Christian preaching? In this podcast, I look at the facts behind the story, reflect on the biblical foundations for justice and unity, and consider why the apostles insisted that the ministry of the Word must remain central to the life of the Church. We also think about what this means for local parishes, faithful preaching, and the future of the Church of England. This is a public episode. New Archbishop - What We Did and Didn't Hear!

In the days leading up to the confirmation of the new Archbishop of Canterbury, a series of interviews set out her priorities and vision for the Church of England.Much was said about unity, care, listening, safeguarding, and healing. And much of it was said sincerely. But moments like this also teach us by what is left unsaid. In this podcast, I reflect carefully on the language used in those interviews before the confirmation, the themes that were emphasised, and the quiet absence many faithful Christians felt. This is not about motives, personalities, or outrage. It is about what the Church names at moments of direction-setting, and why the gospel of Jesus Christ cannot simply be assumed.I explore what biblical hope actually is, why proclamation matters alongside pastoral care, and how faithful local churches continue their work even when the national Church feels distant. When a Church Process Ends Without a Theological Answer!

In this podcast, I look carefully at what the House of Bishops is saying as the Living in Love and Faith process comes to a close, what is being concluded, and what is being deferred into future Synods, working groups, and legislation.I explore why a process can end without theological resolution, how that ambiguity travels beyond Synod into parish life, worship, formation, and family conversations, and how faithful Christians can understand the season the Church of England is now entering.I also reflect on what faithfulness looks like in a time of extended discernment and invite clergy and laity to consider standing for General Synod as an act of service and stewardship for the faith entrusted to us. The Abortion Crisis Nobody's Talking About

In 2023, nearly one third of pregnancies in the UK ended in abortion. That single fact should give us pause. In this podcast, I look carefully at the latest abortion figures and ask what they reveal, not just about policy or economics, but about how we now understand life, responsibility, and compassion. This is not a culture-war rant, and it is not aimed at condemning women. It is a pastoral and biblical reflection on a moment that should sober the Church and call us back to faithfulness.I explore the generational cost of abortion, the pressures many women face, the Church’s historic teaching on the sanctity of life, and the need for a response marked by truth, mercy, and real support. What happens when someone calmly names Jesus in public, and the room shifts? In this video, I reflect on a recent BBC News interview in which 18-year-old rapper DC3 named Jesus Christ as his greatest hero, and the reaction that followed. Not to stir outrage, assign motives, or fuel culture-war narratives, but to ask a deeper question: why are we still surprised when the name of Jesus makes people uncomfortable?Jesus warned his followers that this would happen. This podcast is for those who feel clear about what is happening in the Church, but also tired by it. It is a call to attend to the right things: prayer, Scripture, and the responsibilities God has actually given us, in ordinary parishes and ordinary weeks. The future of the Church will not be decided only in meetings and statements. This is not a rant and not a reaction. It is a pastoral reflection for believers who want to remain rooted in Christ when the ground around them feels uncertain. We explore Scripture’s long story of exile and faithfulness, the temptation toward cynicism or withdrawal, and what quiet obedience looks like when clarity feels thin. Why Gen Z Is Turning Back to God

Why are more young people saying they believe in God, at a time when church decline feels so familiar?Recent YouGov data reported by Sky News suggests that Gen Z are more likely than other adult age groups to say they believe in God. In this podcast, I slow the story down and look beneath the headlines to ask what this actually means, what it does not mean, and why this moment may be emerging now. This is not a revival story in the easy sense, and it is not a culture-war talking point. Instead, we explore how cultural instability, exhaustion with secular promises, and a hunger for meaning may be creating new openness among younger generations, and what responsibility that places on the Church. How do you stay faithful to Jesus without drifting into cynicism or bitterness? In this podcast, I talk honestly about what happens when a church begins to soften its conviction… when Scripture is treated as optional… when repentance becomes rare… and when Jesus is spoken of more as an example than as Lord. We’ll look at why cynicism can feel like the safer response, and then we’ll walk through a biblical way of staying faithful, tender, prayerful, and anchored in Christ in the middle of it.This is especially for those of us who want to live as a faithful remnant — not angry, not tribal, not superior — just ordinary Christians trying to hold fast to Jesus with soft hearts and clear convictions. What the Church Has Forgotten About Marriage

Church of England weddings have fallen to their lowest level since the 1830s. But the real story isn’t the numbers — it’s how the Church is responding to them. When a senior bishop reassures couples that they don’t need to be churchgoers, baptised, or living as disciples to have a church wedding, it raises a deeper question: have we forgotten what Christian marriage is actually for?Marriage in Scripture is a covenant before God — holy, weighty, and shaped by discipleship. When the Church lowers the bar to stay “welcoming,” it risks losing the very distinctiveness Christ calls us to. This is a public episode. Is Another Anglican Exodus Coming?

Are we really on the brink of another great Anglican exodus? Headlines and comment threads are buzzing with talk of clergy “fleeing to Rome”… but the story is more complex, calmer, and far more important for anyone trying to live faithfully right now.In this video I look at what actually created the big conversion waves of the past (1992–97 and 2010–12), why today’s pressures behave differently, and how to stay steady whether you remain Anglican or slowly discern Rome. This isn’t about winning tribal arguments. It’s about truth, conscience, and faithfulness to Jesus Christ in a foggy season for the Church. This is a public episode. The £100m Question Facing the Church of England

There is a one hundred million pound question facing the Church of England. Should this money be committed to an investment fund connected to slavery-related repair, or should it remain focused on parish life and gospel ministry today? In this video I walk through what the Church Commissioners are proposing, why there has been a fresh wave of concern from MPs and peers as Sarah Mullally becomes Archbishop of Canterbury, and how we think about all of this biblically as Christians who care about both justice and the life of the local church. We look honestly at the Church’s mixed history. Some wealth was entangled with the great evil of the transatlantic slave trade, and honesty and lament matter. But we also remember the abolitionist legacy within Anglicanism, and the faithful parish ministry that continues today across our nation in communities that are often stretched and struggling. My aim is not to stir outrage, but to think carefully about repentance, stewardship, justice, and the gospel. What does it mean to handle the Master’s money for the Master’s purposes? And how do we respond wisely as the Faithful Remnant, without denial and without ideology? This is a public episode. The King’s Christmas Message and the Clarity Christians Still Need

There has been a noticeable change in the King’s Christmas message this year. As the Supreme Governor of the Church of England, his words shape how millions of people imagine what Christianity actually is. So how should faithful Christians hear it? And how do we respond without outrage, without cynicism, and without losing sight of Jesus? In this video I look carefully at what the King said, why the language matters for the gospel, and how we hold together two things at once: genuine thankfulness whenever Christ is named truthfully, and a longing for clearer witness to the uniqueness of Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. This is not about judging the King’s heart. It is about public witness and theological clarity. Scripture reminds us that salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). So we think carefully, we speak truthfully, and we keep our hope centred on Christ, the true King whose Kingdom cannot be shaken. If you are one of those believers trying to stay anchored in Scripture and steady in both truth and love in confusing times, you are not alone. There is a growing faithful remnant across the nation seeking to follow Jesus with clarity and compassion. I pray this reflection helps you do that with grace, courage, and hope.We also finish, as Christians always have, by praying for our King. This is a public episode. The Hope of Christmas When Everything Feels Fragile

Christmas can feel joyful and yet strangely heavy at the same time. The lights are bright, the carols are familiar, but for many faithful Christians this year there is also a quiet sense of fragility, in the Church, in the culture, and sometimes in our own hearts. In this reflection, Rev Dan explores why Christmas still matters most precisely when things feel uncertain, returning to the heart of the Christian story: the Incarnation. Drawing on John 1 and the promise that God has come near in Jesus Christ, this video offers calm, biblically grounded hope for those trying to remain faithful in a season of confusion. This is not a reaction video or a rant, but a steady Christmas message for weary believers who are not walking away, not trying to take control, but simply seeking to stand firm and trust Christ where they are.If this kind of thoughtful, Christ-centred reflection is helpful to you, consider subscribing and walking with us into the new year. You’re not alone, and faithfulness still matters.Join the Faithful Remnant on Substack for all exclusive content - Remember, we belong to another Kingdom, so let’s live in, not of. Archbishop of Canterbury: Why Safeguarding Questions Still Matter Before Installation

Before the next Archbishop of Canterbury is installed, serious safeguarding questions remain unresolved. In this video, I carefully walk through what Channel 4 News has reported about safeguarding concerns linked to the Diocese of London, the tragic death of Father Alan Griffin, and why these issues have resurfaced in the lead-up to the installation of the next Archbishop. I set out what is known, what is disputed, and what Bishop Sarah Mullally herself has said on the record, before reflecting on why safeguarding is not only an institutional issue, but a deeply spiritual and pastoral one for the Church of England. This is not a call for panic, punishment, or online verdicts. It is a call to finish the work before moving on, to choose transparency over momentum, and to walk in the light even when that light slows us down. Why the Bishops’ Delay Matters More Than the Decision

The House of Bishops were expected to decide this week on next steps in the Living in Love and Faith process. Instead, they pressed pause. In this podcast, I explain what the bishops actually decided, why they found it so difficult to move forward, and what this delay tells us about the deeper strain within the Church of England as we approach General Synod in February. This is not simply about one issue or one vote, but about leadership, clarity, and whether the Church can still speak plainly in a moment of profound disagreement.Along the way, I explore why public worship matters, why process and governance now sit at the centre of the debate, and why this pause feels different from others the Church has made in the past. The Bishops’ Vote That Tests the Church’s Faithfulness

This week the Church of England’s bishops meet to vote on the next steps in the Living in Love and Faith process. While this vote is often framed as symbolic or procedural, it raises serious questions about doctrine, worship, authority, and the future direction of the Church. In this podcast, I examine what the bishops are actually being asked to decide, the open letter sent to them by Inclusive Church, and the growing pressure surrounding the Prayers of Love and Faith. Drawing on Church Times reporting and the Church of England’s own Faith and Order and legal papers, I trace how theology, liturgy, discipline, and law are now being held together, and where the tensions lie.Public worship is never neutral. What the Church prays and performs shapes what the Church teaches and believes. That is why the distinction between pastoral care and doctrinal change matters, and why clarity is not the enemy of compassion. This podcast is for those who want to think carefully, pray faithfully, and remain rooted in Christ in a time of real pressure and confusion. When Christmas Becomes a Battleground

Christmas is meant to centre us on Christ.Yet this year, it’s being pulled into public battles, headlines, rallies, and counter-campaigns.In this podcast, I step back from the noise and look carefully at what’s actually happening: why some people associated with Unite The Kingdom are turning up in church, how the UTK Christmas rally in London is being framed, why the Diocese of Leeds has launched a poster campaign in response, and how all of this is quietly affecting ordinary local parishes trying to preach the gospel faithfully this Advent. This is not a political podcast. It’s a pastoral one.Rather than caricaturing crowds or baptising fear as faith, I ask what a genuinely Christian response looks like when Christ is claimed by different causes, when slogans start to replace discipleship, and when the Church’s public witness risks being shaped more by headlines than by the incarnation.Along the way, we’ll talk about discernment, doctrine, parish life, cultural Christianity, and why Christmas ultimately belongs not to any movement, campaign, or nation, but to Jesus Christ alone.📖 “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (John 1:5)If you’re trying to follow Jesus faithfully in confusing times, you’re very welcome here.Sources referenced in this podcast:• BBC News – Why Tommy Robinson supporters are turning to Christianityhttps://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cy4p42kydx9o• The Telegraph – Churches use pro-migrant posters to challenge Tommy Robinsonhttps://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/12/08/churches-pro-migrant-posters-challenge-tommy-robinson/• The Guardian – Church of England campaign challenging “Put Christ back into Christmas” messagehttps://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/dec/07/church-of-england-campaign-challenging-tommy-robinson-put-christ-back-into-christmas-message• UTK Christmas Event Website – Putting the Christ Back Into Christmashttps://www.urbanscoop.news/utk-christmas/ This is a public episode. Kirk Cameron, Hell, and the Warnings of Jesus

When Kirk Cameron questioned the nature of hell, it reignited a debate the Church has quietly avoided. In this video, Rev Dan opens the Bible and asks a deeper question. If hell is only being switched off, then what exactly was Jesus warning us about? This is a public episode. Why Are These Crowds Suddenly Coming to Church?

A new crowd is appearing in Church of England pews, and the question everyone is asking is simple: why now? In this video, Rev Dan takes you beneath the headlines of the BBC report on Tommy Robinson supporters turning to Christianity, brings context from the Unite The Kingdom Christmas rally, examines the public reaction in the Telegraph comments, and explores what is truly happening beneath the surface. This isn’t a podcast about politics. It’s a pastoral and biblical look at a wider cultural moment — why some people are coming to church from fear or cultural concern rather than faith, how the media are framing it, and what a faithful Christian response should be. We talk about identity, belonging, discipleship, and the danger of fusing nation and gospel. We open Scripture, we put the story back in context, and we ask what it means for the church to welcome people with clarity, compassion, and courage. Why the Kate Bottley Article Touched a Nerve in the Church

A Telegraph profile of Rev Kate Bottley — and the Spectator’s response — reveal a much deeper crisis inside the Church of England. In this video, Rev Dan digs beneath the headlines to examine why so many Christians feel the Church has lost its centre, and what Scripture calls us to recover in this moment.
