Becoming Someone New: The Art of Conscious Identity Change

In today’s heartfelt solo episode, I invite you to reflect on the stories you’ve been living by—the ones that shape how you see yourself, what you believe you’re capable of, and ultimately, the results you create in your life. We dig into the idea that your story isn’t really about who you truly are, but rather who you’ve been up until now. These stories are often inherited from family, society, culture, and life experiences, rather than consciously chosen by you. I explore how these deep-seated narratives, though largely unconscious, can serve us—or sabotage us—especially when we find ourselves wanting something different or feeling out of sync with our own lives. I share insights into why midlife, and the “autumn season” of our lives, is the perfect time to pause, let go, and intentionally choose who you want to become next. Just like trees gracefully releasing their leaves, we can release identities and beliefs that no longer serve us, knowing they make space for new growth. I guide you through ways you can recognize these stories by noticing the words you use, the actions you take, and the beliefs you hold about what’s possible for you. We talk about the emotional weight these stories can carry, and how they create comfort zones, limitations, and so-called “expectation ceilings” that keep us playing smaller than we truly desire. This episode also covers a practical three-step process for rewriting your narrative: acceptance (acknowledging you’re not broken, just using outdated strategies), practice (becoming who you want to be through repeated action), and awareness (catching old patterns and choosing new, kinder ones in the moment). If you feel called, I encourage you to write down one story holding you back, examine its truth, and reframe it as, “I’m now someone who’s learning to…”—embracing your growth with grace and compassion. If this conversation resonated with you, please share it with a friend or leave a review on iTunes—your support helps the message reach even more remarkable women navigating transformation. Doing It Differently: Ambition That Honors Your True Self

In this gentle and honest solo episode, I'm exploring what it really means when old versions of ambition stop fitting and something deeper starts calling. I open up about the quiet unraveling many women experience when the non-stop chase, hustle, and performance-based success lose their appeal. We sit with the truth that perhaps our ambition hasn’t disappeared—it’s simply evolved. Let’s rethink what “more” means, and recognize the difference between losing motivation and simply getting real about what no longer serves us. This conversation is an invitation to notice if what’s pulling you now is a desire for space, slowness, and self-reconnection, rather than just keeping up and proving yourself. We touch on how powerful it can be to let go of measuring our worth by productivity, and how you haven’t gotten lazy, you’ve just gotten honest. I offer a reframe for ambition: it’s not about giving up, but about growing up and making space for a life anchored in your own truth. This episode is all about coming home to yourself, choosing presence over performance, and realizing that wanting something different (and gentler) doesn’t mean wanting less. Different doesn’t mean smaller—it means it’s finally yours. If you’re feeling the pull to stop abandoning yourself for achievement, if you want to reclaim ambition on your own terms, this tender episode is for you. And if you know a woman who needs to hear this, please share it—let’s keep supporting each other as we walk this path of simplicity, honesty, and transformation together. I'd LOVE for you to leave me a review for the podcast.. AND... I believe this is a conversation that more women need to hear to so please do share it on your socials and with your friends. Thank you

This micro episode is full of mic drops - like  how to move from guilt and frustration into ownership, how to recognise when your capacity has changed, and how to rewrite promises that align with who you’re becoming. What you’ll learn: Why breaking promises is often a sign of growth, not failure How to identify when old standards no longer fit Somatic and mindset tools to rebuild integrity with yourself If you ❤️ this episode, you know what to do.. please subscribe and share.  And come join the conversation over on Insta.

Busy Life, Big Joy: Simple Ways to Feel Good Today

During this cosy micro episode, I dive into why so many of us have been conditioned to believe that joy is something we have to earn—a reward for completing the never-ending to-do list, or something we only allow ourselves to feel once everything (and everyone) else is taken care of. I open up about my own journey, from building my self-worth through endless productivity, to finally realising that joy isn’t a finish line to cross or a prize waiting at the end of achievement. Instead, joy is a resource we can tap into, right now, in the thick of it all. We explore how generational patterns and the examples set by our mothers have shaped the way we care for ourselves (or don’t), often relegating joy to the bottom of the pile and leaving so many women feeling depleted and unsure of what truly lights them up. I share why waiting for perfect conditions means that “someday” for joy never actually arrives. Together, we discuss the importance of curiosity, giving ourselves permission to pause, and rediscovering the tiny, daily pleasures that bring us alive. Whether you know exactly what you want or you’re only clear on what you don’t want right now, this episode is your invitation to create new stories around joy, to schedule it and savour it before everything is “done.” Plus, I share practical ways to tune into what feels good in your body, and encourage you to make space for joy—no justification needed. If you’re craving a reminder that joy is the point of life, not an afterthought, this gentle episode is for you. Let’s normalise choosing joy, right here, right now. Please do subscribe to the podcast so you don't miss any of the gold.. and why not come follow me on Instagram and keep the conversation going?

Rewild Your Routine: Easy Ways to Follow Nature (and Yourself)

During this soulful solo episode of Seeking Simplicity, I invite you to reflect on the power of living in tune with your own natural cycles and the deeper rhythms of nature. Together, we explore the idea that we are not designed to be in constant “go mode”—that embracing our seasons (both internal and external) is an act of self-honouring, not failure. I open up about a recent personal loss and share how grief has brought me back to the wisdom of letting myself soften, slow down, and lean into the transformative magic that comes with accepting each season as it arrives. Whether you’re in a season of growth, rest, change, or harvest, recognising where you are allows you to give yourself permission to move at your own pace. We talk about the archetypes of the feminine journey—the Maiden, the Mother, the Maga (my current season, and why my new offering is called Magna Nificence), and the Crone. I discuss how the so-called “midlife” (a term I don’t love!) or perimenopausal period is actually a time of deep neurological rewiring, personal independence, and wisdom-gathering, rather than something simply to be medicalised or managed. If you’re noticing a shift in what interests you, how much you can give, or how you want to show up, you’re not alone—your season is changing, and that’s beautiful. There’s a powerful freedom in recognising when you no longer have the capacity (or the desire) for certain things, and in embracing the truth-telling energy that these hormonal transitions bring. I encourage you to get curious about your own patterns: How do you feel through the seasons of the year? How do your energy and mood shift with your menstrual or moon cycle? I share my own experience with tracking these rhythms, and offer practical encouragement for creating a schedule that honours your unique energy—whether you’re thriving in summer sun or needing more rest as the darker months draw in. We touch on the difference between self-sabotage and self-knowledge, and the importance of elite recovery as the counterpart to elite performance. Living cyclically and seasonally is an act of self-respect, and it’s how we build sustainable, meaningful lives (and model this for those we love). Today, my wish for you is that you name your current season, listen to what it asks of you, and give yourself permission to live in sync with its wisdom. If you’re drawn to explore this journey more deeply, the priority waitlist for my new offering, Magna Nificence, is now open—details in the show notes. If this conversation resonates, please leave a review on Apple and share the episode. The more we honour our cycles, the more we invite others to breathe deeper and live more simply, too.

Closing The Loops That Drain Your Energy

Do you ever feel mentally cluttered—like part of your brain is always running in the background, nagging you about what’s unfinished? Those are open loops: incomplete thoughts, undone tasks, or unresolved emotions that keep pulling at your attention. In this episode, I explain the MindBody impact of those open loops, why they make it hard to focus, and how to close them so you can feel clearer, calmer, and more present. What you’ll learn: Why your brain clings to unfinished business The hidden toll open loops take on your energy and clarity Practical steps to start closing loops today

Cause and Effect: The Game-Changer You’re Probably Overlooking

What if you could anchor your entire life around three guiding principles that change how you think, feel, and choose—every single day? In this episode, I share the transformative impact of Cause & Effect, Perception is Projection, and Every Word, Thought & Deed. These aren’t just great sounding concepts—they’re daily practices that create radical self-leadership and long-term change and transformation (if you use them of course) BTW - if you've not listened to last week's podcast, I'd REALLY recommend you do so before you listen to this one. I simply had to share these with you, after being reintroduced to them during my experience at an embodied NLP training. I want you to see, feel and knowhow these principles ground you beyond the “event high” of workshops or courses, so your transformation lasts in real life. Get ready to see yourself, your relationships, and your choices in a whole new light. What you’ll learn: Why living “at cause” shifts you out of blame and into power How Perception is Projection can completely transform relationships The secret to aligning your words, thoughts, and actions with the life you want How to hold yourself to a new standard of self-leadership If you'd like more of these conversations, come join my FB group and remember to go watch those videos that I referred to in the podcast. Why fighting reality only makes life harder

It's easy to feel like you're "fighting life". Especially when you are in hard times. But when we fight, we resist and "what resist, persists" right? PLUS.. when we are putting the focus outside of ourselves, we're now not in the power to change anything. I get it. In this episode I share part of my own journey of moving from resistance and wishing things were different, to embracing acceptance—without resignation or approval of what simply is. I ask you to see how arguing with reality keeps us stuck in cycles of frustration, resentment, and suffering, and how liberating it can be to make peace with the moment, even when it’s hard or seems unfair. Learning to stop resisting and start co-creating with your circumstances changes everything. And to help you get to that place, I'm exploring some of the myths that hold us back (like “accepting means giving up” or “if I fight harder, maybe I’ll change it”) and how clinging to these beliefs drains your energy, strains relationships, and blocks transformation. I share with you some simple, powerful questions to catch yourself in the act of resisting: “What is real right now? What is the naked truth beneath the stories and emotions? What’s my next best step?” And my intention is that, together, we untangle the difference between acceptance and approval, and talk honestly about how difficult—but necessary—it is to choose the harder path if we want a life that’s truly multicolored, not just another shade of the same old routine. This is a call to reclaim your energy, to stop suffering twice, to move forward with more clarity and power. I hope this episode inspires you to pause, reflect, and choose—with compassion for yourself—the next right thing. And don’t forget: next week, I’ll share three life-changing principles to help you put all of this into practice. If this episode resonated with you, please subscribe, share, or leave a review—it means the world to me, and it helps our wild, wise, ever-evolving community reach even more women ready to stop fighting reality and start living a life full of color. Not all progress is loud

On today’s episode I invite you to journey with me into the realm of invisible work—the quiet, often unseen inner shifts that shape the most profound change in our lives. I explore why not all progress is loud, and how the subtle transformations we make behind the scenes are, in fact, some of the most powerful. I share from my own practice as a certified High Performance coach, blending Somatics, NLP, and mindset work, and how the greatest resistance I see in my clients isn’t always about taking big action, but in valuing the invisible work that doesn’t come with a to-do list or applause. Together, we untangle the societal myth that only visible, external achievements count, and we unpack why so many of us feel like we’re not “doing enough” unless we’re exhausted and busy. I touch on the danger of measuring our worth through output and accomplishments, and instead, begin to honour those inner shifts—the moments you chose to pause instead of react, upheld a boundary, or replaced an old thought pattern with something new. I share stories from my personal training days to illustrate how real, sustainable change always starts from within, and why becoming someone new is so much more powerful than ticking off achievements. Throughout this episode, I encourage you to acknowledge and celebrate even the smallest acts of invisible work—to let one inner shift a day be enough, and to trust that these quiet changes are weaving a whole new tapestry for your future. We also talk about ways to stay connected to your inner wisdom and intuition, and how to find space to simply be. If you resonate with this, I’d love for you to pause, celebrate one invisible shift you’ve made this week, and share your experience or leave a review. These are the ripples that create waves of change for all of us. I would be so grateful if you'd leave me a review for the podcast and drop it a share. Thank you

Why the words you use REALLY matter

The words you use are SO much more than language, they create spells. Spells that determine what your life looks and feels like. In this short and potent episode, I ask you to see what happens when you become more conscious of the impact and effect of your language - especially when it comes to the words we use with ourselves. And it begins with this question. Is it sacrifice or investment? You see, the words we use don't just decide the action we take, but how we FEEL and WHO we are when we take that action. The identity we inhabit, and our ability to stick with the things that truly matter. I reflect on how the “sacrifice” mindset can paint us as martyrs or victims—draining our energy, motivation and self-trust—while an “investment” frame establishes us as empowered creators, intentionally choosing where to place our time, energy, and attention. I take yo another layer deeper when I show you the ripple effect of language: how it shapes our emotional and energetic state, fortifies (or undermines) our long-term motivation, and transforms mundane daily decisions into acts of self-devotion and trust. Instead of seeing you routines, to-do's or and  boundaries as something that costs you, I ask you to see those daily choices as investments that pay you compound interest in every area of your life. This is a heartfelt reminder that lasting transformation doesn’t demand struggle or grand gestures, but begins with the simplest, most powerful shift: the words you choose every single day. If this episode sparked something for you, I'd be so grateful if you’d subscribe, leave a short review, and share this conversation with a friend or on social media. How to Secretly Rest Your Nervous System

In today's episode, I open up about my own journey with nervous system dysregulation—how it showed up as a constant, underlying sense of unsafety in my body, confusion, emotional overwhelm, and feeling utterly lost.  I share how I thought that it was a symptom of grief and the associated PTSD and how shocked I was to learn that perimenopause, which I had initially dismissed as “just hormones”—is actually a powerful neurological experience and can cause nervous symptom dysregulation.  After a life-changing somatic training in Barcelona, I learned how our bodies hold on to unprocessed emotions, trauma, and memories, often locking them into our physical selves. But I also know that not all of us have the space or desire to drop everything and do a full-blown somatic practice when things feel hard—especially when we want to regulate ourselves quietly, without drawing attention. So in this episode, I share five beautifully simple and discreet tools that you can use anytime, anywhere, to help soothe your nervous system:   Hold your own hand. Whether you’re lying in bed or sitting in a meeting, simply cupping your own hands together with gentle pressure can create an instant sense of safety, comfort, and self-support.   4-8 Breathing. Breathe in for four counts, out for eight. Lengthening your exhale helps activate your parasympathetic nervous system and brings your body back to calm—no one even needs to notice you’re doing it.   Body Scan. Bring quiet awareness to different parts of your body, noticing and releasing tension from your head to your toes (or vice versa). This subtle check-in can make an immediate difference in how grounded and relaxed you feel.   Anchor Object. Whether it’s a stone, a piece of jewelry, or a small desk trinket, keep something meaningful nearby or in your pocket. Touching or even just looking at your anchor object can pull you out of overwhelm and return you to the present moment, quickly and privately.   Relax your vagina. Yes, really! Our jaw and pelvic floor are intimately connected. Next time you need to relax, try consciously relaxing your pelvic floor or your jaw (or both)—it can shift your energy and even help you find your voice again, especially if repression or overwhelm have kept you quiet for too long.   Throughout this conversation, I reflect on how these tender, tiny practices can not only carry us through rough patches but reconnect us to our bodies, our truth, and a new confidence in expressing ourselves—especially in times of transition. Self Judgement Truth Bombs

In this honest episode, I invite you to explore the often-painful topic of self judgment—the kind that seeps into our skin, weighs us down, and keeps us locked out of our own innate wisdom. I share from my own journey—years spent in deep self criticism, the endless comparison, and how I finally stepped off that exhausting podium. Together, we look at self judgment through a gentler lens. Why do we measure ourselves by standards we never consciously chose? What if those harsh internal voices aren’t even truly ours? I walk you through how cultural narratives, family dynamics, and social media have gifted us unwanted measuring sticks—ones we’re absolutely allowed to put down. I talk about the powerful ways our brains latch onto these beliefs, constantly seeking evidence to confirm what we fear is true. I explain the insidious blame-shame-judgment cycle, how it keeps us stuck, and why it feels so hard to move forward when we’re trapped in it. But most importantly, I share a new path that doesn’t require leaping from self hatred to self love or drowning in toxic positivity—a path rooted in acceptance. This is a gentle invitation to lay down what you no longer need to carry. Acceptance is the simple, radical act that allows us to become the curators of our own lives—building a bridge from judgment to empowered responsibility. I offer practical questions and reflections to help you choose acceptance over self punishment and begin to craft a new narrative, one grounded in wisdom, self-trust, and freedom. If you’re ready to step into the role of captain in your own life—letting go of that critical chorus and embracing a life built on your values, your desires, and your truth—then this episode is for you. Thank you for being here, for allowing space for transformation, and for seeking simplicity with me. Reduce Mind Drama With Five Transformative What Ifs

“Head Drama”—that relentless chatter in our minds that’s often negative, judgmental, and unhelpful. Today I'd like to share with you a powerful, yet simple approach to breaking the cycle of self-doubt, rumination, and second-guessing—one that doesn’t require you to be perfect, or to believe in yourself 100% before you start taking action. I'm going to show you how you are not your thoughts, and how our brains love to serve up thousands of repetitive (and usually negative) ideas every day. Together, we tap into compassion for ourselves and unpack why we so often cling to the thoughts that weigh us down. I introduce the idea that you get to decide which thoughts take up space in your head and how changing that dynamic can transform the reality you experience. This podcast is based on five “what if” questions you can use to disrupt negative self-talk and invite more simplicity, ease, and self-trust into your life: What if you don’t need immediate buy-in? What if you don’t have to believe fully before you start? We talk about letting actions lead belief, and why waiting for confidence can actually keep you stuck. What if it’s always going to be some kind of hard? Discomfort is a given—so what if you chose the hard that actually moves you forward? What if it’s up to you to find the balance? We chat about breaking free from black-and-white thinking, and how true balance is a rhythm you create—not a fixed destination. What if you just decided? Indecision drains us, so what might shift if you made one clear choice without waiting for perfect clarity or a risk-free path? What if your mission was merely to build self-belief by doing something? Self-belief is built through action, not waiting—so what if you celebrated progress instead of perfection, and let small wins accumulate into real transformation? I also open up about my experiences, struggles, and what I’ve learned from coaching incredible women inside my community. If you’re feeling stuck in cycles of quitting and starting again, doubting if you can ever change, or longing for more ease and presence in your life—these “what if” questions might be the gentle (but powerful) nudge you need right now. You’ll hear about our ongoing 21-day sprint challenges inside the Seeking Simplicity Facebook group—a supportive space to build consistency, experiment with new habits, and rediscover your capacity for growth and self-compassion. Holding Space: How to Help Others Through Difficult Seasons

During this heartfelt solo episode, I explore the tender and universal experience of supporting others through life’s hardest seasons – be it illness, grief, heartbreak, or big life transitions. I open up about my own journey walking beside loved ones, from witnessing my mum care for my dad, to the ripple effects it’s had on me, my friendships, and my own sense of how to “show up” for the people I care about. I reflect on those moments when we feel lost in knowing how to help, wondering if what we’re doing is enough, and navigating the truth that, while we can’t take away someone’s pain, we can help them hold it. I share stories of grief, the complexity of being both a supporter and needing support ourselves, and some of the difficult conversations that come with walking this path—whether it’s giving space, checking in gently, or speaking truth where responsibility is needed. We also talk about the importance of not trying to do this perfectly, of letting go of the idea that we need to be the strong one, the wise oracle, or the “perfect” friend/daughter/partner. I extend an invitation to acknowledge the deep unconditional love that leads us to care, and the vital need to turn that compassion inward as well. There’s room here for messiness—for presence over perfection, for asking those you’re supporting what they actually need (and letting them guide that day by day), and for validating your own emotions as you walk alongside. I share how the smallest gestures can matter most—like a text just to say you’re there—and that your presence, even in quiet ways, is enough. If you’re someone holding space for a loved one through a difficult season, or if you’re feeling the aftershocks of having done so, this conversation is an invitation to exhale, to feel less alone, and to allow a little gentleness and lightness in, even in the hardest of times. Remember: there’s no rulebook for this, but we don’t have to do it alone. If this episode spoke to you, please share it with someone who might need to hear these words. And if you need a community that gets it, you’re always welcome to join us in the Seeking Simplicity community—where we’re all just walking each other home. With love, Louise.

How to Have Hard Conversations With Your Children

Poor communication can destroy relationships and when those relationships are in your home, it can feel like you're trapped.  I'm sharing this episode with you today because the relationship with my eldest daughter completely broke in 2021.  She was also a highly sensitive child but as she got older, her temper became volatile and my husband and I found it harder and harder to communicate with her. Suspected ADHD and smoking weed exacerbated the situation and we were at our wits end.  In this episode today, I share in full transparency what happened and how I totally didn't handle it well at all. 7 Softening Practices for Greater Strength & Self Connection

I loved recording this episode, because it was such an important reminder to myself that there is so much strength in softening. The quote that inspired this conversation: “Remember, you are creator of your life, not a manager of your circumstance. Prime yourself. Decide what to focus on.” This message landed so profoundly for me, but I reflect on how, just eighteen months ago, it would have felt impossible to embrace. I walk you through the tender journey from managing my circumstances amidst grief, dysregulation, PTSD, and perimenopause, to discovering the incredible strength that comes from softening. I explore the transformative power of surrender and the seven ways we can intentionally soften in order to become stronger in all areas of our lives. Together, we look at how softening self-judgment can strengthen self-belief, and why letting go of rigid definitions opens up new possibilities. I invite you to notice the stories you carry about yourself, consider the regrets that might be weighing you down, and challenge the ways you approach change—because softening these patterns strengthens your creativity, wisdom, and consistency. I share deeply personal moments of regret, self-judgment, and the somatic release that changed everything for me. We talk about what it means to soften your past to empower your present and future, and the incredible shifts that come when we reconnect gently with our bodies. Throughout the episode, I encourage you to make this inquiry your own: what would it look like to soften, just a little, in each of these areas of life? This conversation is an invitation to create space for self-love, surrender, and true transformation as you navigate whatever season you’re in. Brew your favorite cup and join me in seeking simplicity, softness, and soulful strength. As always, I invite you to join the free Facebook community and personal development book club and if you would kindly leave the podcast a review I would be SO grateful. Thank you

Escaping Ordinary - Ayla's Castle Adventure & Simply Living

This really is a truly enchanting conversation with Ayla, who joins us all the way from her real-life French chateau to share what happens when you dare to dream big and live simply (and sometimes that means living in a literal castle!). Together, we explore the heart of seeking simplicity—doing what you love, letting go of societal expectations, and courageously following your own unique path. We talk about the journey that took Ayla from her native Holland to a castle overlooking a breathtaking French valley, the pivotal moments that sparked this bold move, and the importance of curiosity and intention when it comes to creating a life on your terms. Ayla opens up about her experience with burnout, transitioning from corporate life to entrepreneurship, and the shifts she made to prioritize happiness and meaning for herself and her family. We dive into the ripple effect that following your joy has—not only in your own health and relationships, but on your children and everyone around you. Ayla shares how she’s built her business to help other women reclaim their time and design lives and businesses that truly light them up, whether that means more time with family or scaling their passion. There’s so much inspiration here: from letting go of Holland’s “just act normal” expectations, to teaching your kids that anything is possible (including wearing a princess dress to school), to taking the practical steps to streamline your own business and find more spaciousness for what matters most. We also unpack how to turn inward, trust yourself, and bravely choose joy—even when it feels a little daring. Pour yourself a cozy cup and join us for laughter, permission slips, castle tales, and real-life magic. This conversation is for everyone ready to step outside of the box, make their own rules, and create ripples of happiness in the world—one simple, joyful step at a time. Heartbeat Moments: Making Change Simple and Possible

In this honest and reflective solo episode, I invite you into my personal process of simplifying transformation. This conversation is a little self-indulgent—it’s me sharing the thoughts that have been circulating in my mind about why change, transformation, and goal setting so often feel so complicated. I get real about years spent beating myself up for not being “enough” or not achieving enough, and the stories we all tell ourselves about where we “should” be by now. I walk you through some of the pivotal, heartbeat moments in my life—the ones where I knew, on a deep level, that things had to change. From hopping on my first-ever plane to Australia at 19, to leaving my marriage and becoming a single parent, to quitting jobs and closing businesses, I unpack the catalysts behind those big choices. You’ll hear about how curiosity, pain, and sometimes a drive to prove myself spurred me into action, but how, underneath it all, there was always this belief that something else is possible, even if I couldn’t yet see what that was. We dig into what keeps us stuck in patterns: the mental loops of telling ourselves we’re not good enough, searching for the “one right way” that doesn’t exist, and falling into overwhelm or burnout. I share a simple three-step framework that shifted everything for me, moving the focus from what to do, to who we are being: From mental noise to embodied clarity—how to switch off the relentless inner chatter and land in your own power and clarity. From self-doubt to self-trust—why transformation isn’t about the latest strategy, but building strong self-trust and emotional resilience. From overwhelm to ownership—learning to pause, take a breath, and own your next step, your boundaries, and your state, rather than spiraling into overwhelm. We also talk about the tricky idea of “alignment”—how sometimes what’s comfortable isn’t truly aligned, and how the right choices are sometimes the hardest in the moment. If you’re in a place of transition, growth, or just feeling a little bit stuck, this episode invites you to rethink what simplicity in transformation can look like. Let’s celebrate the possibility that exists in choosing yourself and trusting those heartbeat moments! I’d love to hear which shift resonated with you most—come join the conversation in our Seeking Simplicity Facebook group, DM me, or share your own reflections on social. Stop Making The Decision That's Keeping You 'Hungry'

In this soulful solo episode, I dive deep into the nature of decision-making and the ways in which our choices can keep us feeling stuck, unsatisfied, or—quite literally—hungry for more. Inspired by a new deck of oracle cards (here's the Amazon link for them - please note this is my affiliate link), I reflect on the emotional roots of change: how so often, it’s uncomfortable emotions—feeling disconnected, afraid, or trapped—that motivate us to desire transformation in our lives. Sharing my own personal experience, I explore why it can be so hard to make lasting change, even when we’re desperate for it. I attempt to unravel the dance between emotion and thought: how our emotions trigger the desire for change, but it’s our thoughts—those old stories, fears, and beliefs—that hold us back from acting. I share my own vulnerable moments, from leaving my marriage to healing a painful relationship with my body, and what it really takes to move forward when we don’t know how. You’ll hear the beautiful message from “The Feast of Plenty” oracle card, which reminds us that sometimes, we need to simply choose—and to avoid repeating decisions that never satisfy us. We get into the real reasons it’s so hard to choose: fear of discomfort, our craving for certainty, those deep-seated patterns and limiting beliefs about who we are and what’s possible. I talk through practical, compassionate ways to start small and shift your experience: giving yourself permission to be exactly where you are; leaning more on curiosity than certainty; celebrating who you’re becoming through the process, not just the outcome; and embracing the power of making better choices more often—even if they’re simple and small at first. If you’re in a season of transition, longing for change, or feeling the weight of indecision, my hope is that this conversation gives you the permission, compassion, and gentle nudge you need to make the one next right choice for you. As always, the doors to the Seeking Simplicity Facebook community are open if you want to continue the conversation, find support, or simply be in circle with other wise and wild women walking this path of transformation. And remember, if you're enjoying this podcast, PLEASE take 1 minute to write me a review - it means the world to me. Thank you  With love and gratitude for where you are and where you’re going.

The 5 S's of Personal Transformation

Today I am so excited to share a framework with you that I created for my ladies inside The Personal Transformation Programme.  After over a decade of working with women to create change, achieve their goals and live the life they want - one thing I know is that they think it's way more complicated than it really is.  The truth is - the strategy is simple. But the execution is HARD. And it's not because you're not enough or you can't manage it - it's because no-one has ever taught you how to manage your brain and your emotions when you want to do new, difficult and life changing things.  Hence the creation of this Framework to give you somewhere to start.  I would love for you to come join more conversations like this inside my free facebook group Seeking Simplicity - and hopefully you'll come join the free book club calls on a Wednesday at 7pm UK time.  And PLEASE will you give me 1 minute of your time to give me a review on Apple? I'd be SO grateful. Thank you

Habits aren't the problem. Identity is

Most advice on personal growth tells us to focus on changing bad habits. But have you ever felt like no matter how hard you try, those old patterns just keep popping up? This week, I'm sharing my perspective - why it's not your habits that keep you stuck—it's your deep-rooted identity. And I hope, that I can encourage you to  gently shift that identity (with lots of self-compassion!) to create real, lasting change. ✨ 5 Keys You’ll Learn in This Episode: Why relying on willpower alone is exhausting—and why it often doesn’t work in the long run. How identities are formed early in life and why they get reinforced without us even noticing. The hidden comfort in your current identity (even when it leads to results you don’t want). A simple exercise to experience a different version of yourself—right now! The importance of self-compassion and starting small when shifting your identity and creating new results. I'm going to show you how you can “try on” a new identity like an outfit—just close your eyes, speak a new belief to yourself, and notice how even your posture starts to shift. Did you know that just imagining a new, more empowered version of yourself can actually change how you feel in the moment? Give it a try after you listen! This episode is full of gentle reminders to be kind to yourself, give yourself grace, and trust the process—no matter where you are on your own transformation journey. Remember, it’s about starting small and growing consistency, not going hard or going home. 🌼 I'd love for you to join us inside the Seeking Simplicity Book Club We’re starting You Are a Badass by Jen Sincero next week. 3 Things I Wish I Knew Before I Hit 50

Welcome to another episode of the Seeking Simplicity podcast. Today, I'm opening up a conversation around the 3 Things I Wish I'd Learned Before I Hit 50. I dive deep into the power of embracing the present, learning in layers, and tapping into the wisdom of our bodies. It's so easier to hanker after different outcomes, think we should be somewhere other than where we are, but isn't there more benefit to explore how staying present can be transformational. I discuss how our brains often create a vision of what could have been, without acknowledging the complexities and external factors influencing our lives. Our lives are a complex series of  sliding door moments, reminding us that our power lies in the present. I offer my belief thatchange doesn't happen in isolation. It’s not a single strategy or person that brings transformation, but rather the layers of learning that unfold over time and that by allowing ourselves to have different experiences and tapping into our body's wisdom, change can truly resonate and transform us on a deeper level. Finally I  highlight the importance of moving beyond relying solely on our brains. Embracing our body's innate knowledge can prevent us from getting trapped in fear and outdated conditioning. By acknowledging and addressing the ways our brains sabotage us, we can open ourselves to a richer, more holistic experience of life. Finding Simplicity in The Entrepreneurial Hardships

In this enlightening episode of the Seeking Simplicity Podcast, I had the privilege of sitting down with Ken, a fellow entrepreneur who beautifully embodies the essence of vulnerability and courage. We embark on a deep conversation about how seeking simplicity is not about avoiding hardship, but about redefining our path on our terms. . Even though Ken and I have been in the same business group for a long time, I reached out to him after he shared a moving and vulnerable post there. We hopped on a call and I asked Ken to come and share his learnings because I think we can all learn something from them. I believe he captures the essence of simplicity not as an absence of hardship, but can actually include hardship when you choose to live life on your own terms. We explore themes vulnerability, courage, and the art of embracing uncertainty. Sharing his  experiences as an entrepreneur, the courage it took to step away from a conventional 9-to-5, and the personal transformation he has undergone.  We dive into the compelling experience of 'collapsing timelines,' touching on what it means to shift energetically into new identities and embrace the future versions of ourselves. Ken articulates the sensations of transition and the importance of letting go to fully arrive at our new destinations. For those on the entrepreneurial journey, Ken's story is a testament to the power of authenticity. His openness serves as an invitation for you to trust in the process, honor your unique path, and keep moving forward, even through uncertainty. I really believe that this conversation captures the  spirit of doing things our own way, finding freedom, and expressing oneself creatively, all while navigating the beautiful complexities of life.  Join us for this heart-opening conversation that inspires you to step into your power, regulate your nervous system amidst risks, and truly seek simplicity in alignment with your authentic self. When Information Becomes Harmful, Not Helpful

Welcome to another episode of the Seeking Simplicity podcast. Today I open up a conversation about where information becomes harmful, not helpful and how do we know when to say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. How can we step back, trust that we know and do enough, and reconsider our consumption of information. I delve into how the endless stream of knowledge available at our fingertips can be both a blessing and a burden as I offer the perspective that it has the potential  to amplify feelings of inadequacy and overwhelm and explore how to filter and contextualize it to fit our unique lives. Here's some key points: ✅ Navigate through the challenges of feeling insufficient and perpetually needing to grow or achieve more. ✅Reflect on how societal pressures and expert advice can make us feel like we're never doing enough. ✅Discover the hidden simplicity in life's "Blue Zones" and how these lessons can apply to our modern, tech-focused lives. ✅Uncover the importance of discerning the source and context of the information we consume. ✅Discuss the need to evaluate our intentions behind the consumption of books, podcasts, and digital media. ✅Emphasise the power of tuning into our own unique life needs, reducing decision fatigue, and reclaiming simplicity. Understanding Emotional Simplicity: Acceptance, Resilience, and Transformation

Welcome to 3rd and final episode in this special podcast series on Emotional Simplicity. At the end of the day, life is an emotional rollercoaster and I want to share with you how I believe we can find simplicity amidst it all. . I invite you to think about the fact that fear is less about the "thing" and more about the emotions we don't want to feel and there we can find ourselves in seasons where we are ready to CHOOSE to feel the emotional discomfort in order to create the change we want in our life. We chat about resilience and courage—those things that kick in when life's throwing stuff our way—and how being aware of our emotions can help us navigate tricky times. I share my very personal story about dealing with some heavy emotions after losing her dad, how it affected my whole system and how I worked through it. It just goes to show, that now matter how prepared you think you are, or how much you think you know - sometimes life can still knock you sideways. I finish up by talking about knowing when you're ready to tackle more emotional challenges and how important it is to accept all the feels, even the uncomfortable ones. Building that inner strength and giving ourselves grace, acknowledging we don't have to have it all figured out. Life's a journey, right? It's all about finding that sweet spot where we can handle emotional discomfort and make decisions that might be scary but are totally worth it. We're reminded that life's not black and white—it's a spectrum, and we're somewhere in-between. So, join me as we navigate this emotional landscape, learning to embrace discomfort, trust our gut, and take the plunge into new experiences. We're here for it all—every messy, beautiful bit of the journey. So, let's find that emotional simplicity together and keep it real. Remember, you can purchase the book, Your Body Is Your Brain here. I invite you to consider your emotions like a colourful palette—letting yourself feel them all can bring so much depth and richness to life. I'll share personal experiences, like dealing with grief and the powerful emotions that come with it, to highlight that it's okay to feel everything without judgment. And we'll chat about how showing yourself some love and compassion can make it easier to navigate those tricky emotions. Embodied Emotions: The Foundation of Emotional Simplicity in Three Steps

Welcome to the first episode in a 3 part series where I'm diving into the concept of emotional simplicity and how it can totally change the way you handle emotions day-to-day. In this first episode, I'm focusing on emotions as embodied experiences, with the intention of offering a perspective shift that encourages greater self-compassion and grace. Sharing the coaching framework called "The Model" by Brooke Castillo and excerpts from the incredible book, Your Body Is Your Brain by Amanda Blake,  I aim to explain how our thoughts and feelings intertwine with our bodily experiences and why this can make it impossible to just "change our mind", "choose a different thought" or "be more positive". From the day you are born, you are creating a model through your "felt sense" and I seek to show you how these deep-seated patterns that shape your emotional world along with how you can explore the wisdom of your body and pave the way for self-love and acceptance. I kick things off sharing my definition of emotional simplicity and how combining coaching with somatic practices can give you a real sense of calm, peace and presence. It's a good reminder that a lot of our emotional patterns started way back when we were kids and how important it is to cut ourselves some slack. As you listen, think about what emotional simplicity means to you and how you can tune into your body's wisdom to be more compassionate towards yourself. This episode is just the start as we’ll be tackling emotional acceptance and self-compassion next. So kick back and join me what I hope is an  enlightening chat and if you enjoy it I'd love for you to subscribe to the podcast, share it with your friends, and catch us in the next episode! Sobriety and Simplicity - An Empowering Transformation

In this enlightening episode with Magda, we delve into her transformative journey of quitting alcohol and the profound impact it has had on her life. Magda candidly shares how her life once orbited around alcohol, influencing her activities, decisions, and social interactions. She shares with us some of the influential moments that led her to make the definitive choice in November 2020 to live an alcohol-free life and the empowering identity shift that followed. Magda opens up about the stark contrast between living with moderation vs. making a 100% commitment to not drinking, emphasising how this decision alleviated the constant mental bargaining associated with alcohol.  She reflects on the cultural perceptions of drinking and how societal shifts are gradually paving the way for a more accepting space for alcohol-free living. I absolutely loved learning about her journey and the incredible benefits she has experienced, such as improved health, sleep, and a newfound awareness of her own body. Magda's story isn't just an example of how she used Seeking Simplicity in her life, it's also a testament to the power of self-awareness, kindness, and the courage to embrace change. . From Paralysis to Purpose - Jamie's Empowering Story

I met Jamie when I attended his Wim Hoff Workshop and I was in awe of his story. I feel very blessed that he agreed to come share it with me. In this transformative conversation with Jamie, we dive into the awe-inspiring journey of resilience and determination. At just 22, he faced an unimaginable life-changing challenge when he was diagnosed with a paralysing autoimmune condition. Doctors offered no known cure, just a stack of medications for pain management. But Jamie had other plans. During our conversation he shares how he refused to accept his diagnosis as a lifelong sentence and instead focused on creating his own healing journey.  We explore his journey through holistic health practices, including breath work and cold exposure, and how setting small actionable goals led to his recovery and transformation. Of course, there were plenty emotional and physical trials he faced, and Jamie shares the mindset he adopted so that he could listen to his body and focus on his health and go on to not just heal, but to find his purpose and start his own business.  His story is one of embracing possibilities and demonstrating the power of making bold, intentional decisions. Throughout this episode, we are reminded of the importance of making incremental progress and being open to changes as life unfolds. Jamie's journey stands as a testament to what's possible when you choose to write your own story. Join us in this episode as we connect, embrace simplicity, and witness the power of the human spirit.  So grab your brew and get ready to be totally inspired.  Jamie's business has evolved since we recorded this first conversation and you can now find him at Scenic Sauna on Instagram and Facebook. Honour Your Changing Availability

Do you keep doing something because it used to work even though it no longer feels right or doesn't serve you? Perhaps you're feeling drained by something that used to energize you or maybe you feel resistance to a routine or a commitment that you used to enjoy? Or perhaps you're longing for something new, but you feel guilty about letting go of something else? Today's conversation is all about knowing your availability. I'm diving in to understanding the shifts in our emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual availability as we navigate the seasons and cycles of life. It's about recognising when things that once energised us now leave us feeling drained, things that we found joy in no longer giving us the same reward. Just like adjusting the bass and treble on a stereo - our mental, physical, emotional and spiritual availability and bandwidth are in constant motion. Once again, I'll invite you to connect with your Somatic wisdom to help you understand your energy and to make choices from a place of self compassion and trust, whilst letting go of external pressures and societal norms.  If you enjoyed this episode, I ask you to please subscribe to the podcast and please do share so that these conversations can reach more women. Finding Safety in Uncertainty - Befriending Liminal Spaces

In this enlightening episode, we explore the intricate nature of liminal spaces and their transformative potential. Liminal spaces are those in-between moments of life, where we leave something behind without having yet stepped into what's next, often accompanied by an identity shift or transformation. I share with you how I've been in a liminal space with my business after my father died and how everything opened up when I trusted the space and stopped trying to rush out of it. By their very nature, these spaces come with discomfort and uncertainty yet, within these spaces lies the potential for powerful personal growth and discovery. When we reframe liminal spaces as places of possibility and expansion, we can align with attract options, answers and clarity instead of forcing things with our brain. Creating safety in this uncertainty is a key component of navigating liminal spaces and this can be as simple as practices like breath work, movement, and mantras such as "I don't have to know right now. We also touch upon the ideas of trust and transformation, reminding ourselves that liminal spaces are not waiting rooms, but zones for potential magic. By embracing these spaces, we can create pathways for new discoveries and opportunities to emerge. Join this conversation to uncover how making friends with the unknown can lead to magical transformation in your journey. For more discussions and community support, join the Seeking Simplicity Facebook group and our free book club I hope you'll find inspiration and empowerment in this episode as you navigate your own liminal spaces.

Why Do We Struggle to Slow Down

We say we want rest. We say we need space. But when the moment comes to actually take it—when the opportunity presents itself to slow down, to pause, to breathe—we resist. We tell ourselves we’ll do it later. That there’s too much to do. That stopping now will only make it harder to catch up later. Because deep down, we’ve been conditioned to believe that rest is only earned. That stillness is wasted time. That productivity is where our value lies. But what if that was never true? What if the very thing you’re avoiding—slowing down, reconnecting with yourself—is actually the key to the peace and clarity you’ve been chasing all along? Because here’s what I know: pushing through isn’t the same as moving forward. And busyness doesn’t always mean progress. Sometimes, stopping is the wisest, most life-giving thing you can do. In this episode of The Seeking Simplicity Podcast, I'm talking about why we find it so hard, maybe even fear, slowing down.  From familial and societal conditioning to the fear of getting left behind or of being mediocre, I speak to many women who, like me, have struggled with taking time out.  However, having been in a long season that gave me no choice but to stop - I'd like to take this opportunity to offer you a perspective shift about what slowing down, resting and stopping can really be and create for you.  If you'd like to engage in more conversations like this, come join my free Facebook and Book Club Community at Seeking Simplicity where we meet every Wednesday for real time and real life conversations.
