Regarding passive evangelism, he explains how personal conduct, church presence, and even martyrdom silently witness to faith. He addresses challenges specific to Orthodox evangelism, cautioning against diluting traditions to attract outsiders. Instead, Fr. Matthias advocates maintaining Orthodox practices while building bridges to help newcomers understand and engage with the faith. Repent for God's Sake

There are certain things that even though we know are beneficial for us, that we don't do for ourselves. But if it is for the sake of someone we love, we are much more motivated, especially if it's someone that we love more than we love ourselves. While confession is "free" for us, it was not at all free for Christ. Perhaps, if we work on our repentance not just to "get into heaven" or to break an "controlling habit." and instead, we follow Christ’s example in John 17:19 "For their sakes I sanctify myself.", We would be much more proactive and motivated and successful in repenting and sanctifying ourselves, since we would be doing it for His sake, so as not to add more pain to Him on the Cross. Let us ask God to pour His healing oil (Kyrie-Ellison) over our wounds to rid us of our old selves.

Matthias emphasizes how Matthew traces Christ’s royal lineage through King Solomon for a Jewish audience, while Luke traces it back to Adam for the Gentiles. The study connects these genealogies to the fulfillment of Messianic prophecies and introduces the theological meaning behind names and covenants. This session sheds light on biblical context, prophecy fulfillment, and the foundations of Christ’s identity.

    Living Proof

We must be the living proof of the resurrection to those around us. To do this, we must set our minds on things above as the new raised man in us will give witness to the Lord.

  47. 454

    Healed

Sometimes we come to Christ to be healed, but instead begin to rationalise how we must be healed. What processes are involved and how we should be treated. Instead we ought to come to Him with no agenda or preconceived notions in our mind. Only then shall we like the woman at the well, be saved and drink of the Living Water.

  48. 453

    Faith & Doubt

Faith and doubt go hand in hand. It is through doubt that if we are willing, God can reveal Himself more to us. The goal is to grow closer to Him through this unbelief, rather than to pull away from Him.
