Stadium BS: The Bosses of the Bronx Review, Donald Fehr’s Perspective on Baseball Labor, and MLB Lockout Concerns

On today’s episode of Stadium BS, I break down the newly released book The Bosses of the Bronx by Mike Vaccaro — a deep dive into the Steinbrenner family legacy and the inner workings of the New York Yankees under George, Hank, and Hal Steinbrenner. The book uncovers fascinating stories and facts about the Bronx dynasty that many baseball fans may not know.I also discuss an article sent to me by Evan Weiner covering former MLBPA executive director Donald Fehr and his experiences during baseball’s labor battles of the 1980s. The conversation raises important parallels to today’s growing concerns surrounding another potential MLB lockout and the future relationship between owners and players. If you love baseball history, sports business, labor negotiations, and the behind-the-scenes politics of Major League Baseball, this is an episode you won’t want to miss. Two exclusive videos are now available on BOTH YouTube and Facebook!🚨 STADIUM BS EXCLUSIVES 🚨Two exclusive videos are now available on BOTH YouTube and Facebook!🔥 The Las Vegas Black Fire Episode 🔥Could this be the future identity of the Athletics in Las Vegas? Stadium BS- ⚾ What happened to Tinker Field? Feat. Marc the Ballpark Hunter

Stadium BS- ⚾ What happened to Tinker Field? Feat. Marc the Ballpark HunterIn this episode, we dive deep into the history of one of Florida’s most iconic forgotten ballparks — Tinker Field. From its early beginnings in 1914 to becoming a legendary spring training home for teams like the Washington Senators/Minnesota Twins, Brooklyn Dodgers, and Cincinnati Reds, Tinker Field was more than just a baseball stadium — it was a piece of American sports and civil rights history. This historic field welcomed baseball legends including Babe Ruth, Jackie Robinson, Hank Aaron, Rod Carew, Harmon Killebrew, and even Michael Jordan during his baseball journey. It also became the site of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s only public speech in Orlando in 1964, making Tinker Field culturally significant far beyond baseball. But after more than 100 years of memories, the grandstands were demolished in 2015 during the redevelopment of the Citrus Bowl, now known as Camping World Stadium. Today, only the field footprint and the Tinker Field History Plaza remain as reminders of what once stood there. So in 2026… is there still hope for Tinker Field? Could Orlando ever truly preserve its baseball history, or has the city already moved on? We explore the memories, the meaning, and the future of this historic site.#TinkerField #BaseballHistory #Orlando #MLB #MinnesotaTwins #BrooklynDodgers #StadiumBS #Baseball #HistoricBallparks #CampingWorldStadium #CivilRightsHistory📌 Full story references available at castellonms.comProud South African 🇿🇦 and Ambassador for the African Baseball Project 🇿🇦🇨🇲🇳🇬🇿🇲🇺🇬Support the Africa Baseball Project:https://gofund.me/a78024363👕 Visit Castellon Motivational Standard for all Stadium BS content, merch, video references, and official social media links!👉 castellonms.com

🎙️ Stadium BS – Highway Robbery! In this episode of Stadium BS, I dive deep into one of the biggest issues facing sports fans today — pricing. From inside the stadium to watching from your couch at home, the cost of being a fan is rising fast. Tickets, parking, concessions, streaming subscriptions, exclusive packages — it all adds up. The question is: are we being priced out of the game we love?I break down how teams and leagues are shifting toward a premium-driven model, where the in-person experience is becoming more luxury-focused and less accessible to the everyday fan. Is this the future of sports? Are we heading toward an era where attending games becomes a high-end experience rather than a community tradition? We’ll talk about:The rising cost of live sporting eventsDynamic ticket pricing and premium seating trendsThe impact of streaming services on at-home fansHow fan experience is evolving — and who it’s really forThis episode challenges the direction the industry is heading and asks whether sports are becoming entertainment for the few rather than the many.🌐 Visit my official site for merch, podcast updates, and exclusive content:https://www.castellonms.com🤝 Sponsors for This Episode🛒 Molly Bz – Unforgettable artisan-crafted cookies made with passion and flavor that hits different.💰 Get 10% OFF with Promo Code: STADIUMBS👉 https://mollybz.com/discount/STADIUMBSIf you care about the future of the fan experience, this is an episode you don’t want to miss.

Stadium BS - Episode 8 - Tucson Electric Park (now Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium), The Forgotten Spring Training Facility

In this episode, we head to Tucson, Arizona, the former spring training home of the Chicago White Sox (1998–2008) and Arizona Diamondbacks (1998–2010). Tucson Electric Park opened in 1998 with a capacity of 11,500 but was abandoned after just a decade. The stadium is remembered for two unusual moments: Randy Johnson accidentally killing a bird mid-pitch, and the infamous “bee game” that forced play to stop. The White Sox later paid $5 million to leave their lease and move to Glendale, while the Rockies and Diamondbacks soon followed, leaving Pima County with heavy debt from the Kino Sports Complex. Now, nearly 20 years later, the question is: what is Tucson Electric Park used for today?⚾ #stadium #business #sports #baseball👉 Everything in one spot — merch, resources, and socials: https://www.castellonms.com/
