TEA AND ZEN - THREADS

Threads is a contemplative audio offering from Meditation Sans Frontières, a sanctuary devoted to presence, remembrance, and the quiet radiance of being. These transmissions arise from lived experience — from grief that has softened into wisdom, from love that refuses to diminish, and from the sacred interior technologies of stillness and relational presence.Nigel [email protected]

    Sacred Lullaby For Eternal Peace

A sacred lullaby for the weary heart. A gentle offering of stillness, remembrance, and the peace that waits beneath all sorrow. For those standing at the threshold of sleep, grief, silence, or surrender— may these words carry you softly back into the arms of the eternal. Love Notes XXXI

What sound was that? I turn away, into the shaking room. What was that sound that came in on the dark? What is this maze of light it leaves us in? What is this stance we take, To turn away and then turn back? What did we hear? It was the breath we took when we first met. Listen. It is here.” ― Harold Pinter Nigel Lott teaandzen.org In the quiet between heartbeats a whisper calls you home, you are not broken you are becoming. The Return Beneath Anger

Anger is rarely the deepest layer. Beneath it is often fear. Beneath the fear, grief. And beneath the grief, the feeling that we have become separate from love itself. But perhaps we are never truly separate. Healing is not becoming something new. It is the gentle return to what has never left. When Silence Speaks

I tried to put my heart into words for the one I loved— and watched the connection fade, conflict as I spoke. It was then I began to understand: some truths cannot survive language, love can only be shared within the realms of silence. The Morning Poem

There are two kinds of intelligence: One acquired,as a child in school memorizes facts and concepts from books and from what the teacher says, collecting information from the traditional sciencesas well as from the new sciences. With such intelligence you rise in the world. You get ranked ahead or behind othersin regard to your competence in retaininginformation. You stroll with this intelligencein and out of fields of knowledge, getting always moremarks on your preserving tablets. There is another kind of tablet, one already completed and preserved inside you.A spring overflowing its springbox. A freshness in the center of the chest. This other intelligence does not turn yellow or stagnate. It’s fluid, and it doesn’t move from outside to inside through the conduits of plumbing-learning. This second knowing is a fountainhead from within you, moving out. Rumi In the quiet between heartbeats a whisper calls you home, you are not broken you are becoming. THE MORNING POEM

I seem to have loved you in numberless forms, numberless times…In life after life, in age after age, forever. My spellbound heart has made and remade the necklace of songs,That you take as a gift, wear round your neck in your many forms,In life after life, in age after age, forever.Whenever I hear old chronicles of love, its age-old pain,Its ancient tale of being apart or together. As I stare on and on into the past, in the end you emerge,Clad in the light of a pole-star piercing the darkness of time:You become an image of what is remembered forever. You and I have floated here on the stream that brings from the fount. At the heart of time, love of one for another. We have played alongside millions of lovers, shared in the sameShy sweetness of meeting, the same distressful tears of farewell-Old love but in shapes that renew and renew forever.Today it is heaped at your feet, it has found its end in youThe love of all man’s days both past and forever:Universal joy, universal sorrow, universal life. The memories of all loves merging with this one love of ours –And the songs of every poet past and forever. It never left. You only believed it did. This belief—that all LOVE has been lost, in becoming human—is the root cause of all human suffering. Look no further than your own sacred heart, for there in the quiet chambers of your being, you will find what you call heaven. And there, too, you will find your God.You will find LOVE, ever-present, ever-unfolding.May you awaken to this truth now." SOUL SPARK

Imagine just for this moment if you truly knew the depth of your potential, your worth, and the incredible power within you. Many of us live confined by doubt, limited by fear, and shaped by the expectations of others. We become versions of ourselves that fit within these constraints, forgetting the vastness of who we really are. If you knew who you truly are—a being capable of immense love, creativity, and resilience—your life would look different. You wouldn’t settle for less than you deserve, nor would you let fear guide your choices. You would approach challenges with confidence, knowing that you have within you everything needed to overcome them. So often, we look outside ourselves for validation or permission to be great. But the truth is, all that power lies within. If you could see yourself without the veil of insecurity, you’d be astonished at the strength, beauty, and brilliance that’s been there all along. Understanding your true self isn’t just about realizing your talents and abilities; it’s about recognizing the value and significance of your presence in the world. You’re more than your struggles and circumstances. You’re a unique expression of life, with a purpose that no one else can fulfill. Oh, if you only knew who you really are—you’d start living boldly, dreaming fearlessly, and embracing the limitless possibilities waiting for you, for there is no birth, no death, there is only this moment we call NOW, an endless continuum of infinite LOVE and LIGHT. "When you truly realize that you have everything you need, and always have-deep within, then you will want for nothing more." Nigel Lott There is a hunger in every human heart, which nothing can satisfy or appease— a hunger for something more true than ordinary human beings wit of, a hunger for the real, a hunger for the sublime. It is the nostalgia of the soul, of the spirit-soul of man. The source of this longing is the home-sickness brought about by the soul-memory of our spiritual abode, whence we came and towards which we are now on our return journey. Men unconsciously, intuitively, unknown to the brain-mind, see the vision sublime on the mountaintops of the mystic East; and oh! this yearning homesickness for the indescrib-able, for the immortal, for the deathless, for that which brings unutterable peace and the path to a love which is frontierless in its reaches! Every human heart feels this, and it is the saving power in men, the thing which gives them hope and aspiration, which raises their souls with the recognition of the glory that once was theirs. Light for the mind, love for the heart, understanding for the intellect: all three must be satisfied in every man before he has real peace. There is a path, a sublime pathway of wisdom and illumination which begins, for each human being, in any one incarnation on this earth in the present life, and thereafter leads inward, for it is the pathway of con- sciousness and spiritual realization leading ever inward, more inward, still more inward, toward the mystic East, which is the heart of the universe, and it is the core of you — the rising sun of spiritually divine consciousness within you. LOVE Love is God, God is Love. That's what I believe. Love is the foundational, essential creative force that underpins all existence, permeating every form and formlessness, omnipresent and infinite in nature. That's the essence of God. I remember as a small child being taught to pray to God. I can't quite recall if it was at the end of my bed, the side of my bed, or somewhere in between. But even as a very young child, not as a cognitive memory, but as a deep awareness, I was taught that God resided in heaven, a place a million trillion miles away at the end of the known universe and only there. It's quite astonishing, isn't it? The greatest misconception of all is that heaven is only in some distant realm, when in fact, it's right here on earth. And not just here on earth, but within us... heaven, where all creation dwells. As I wrote a little while ago, we are both the drop in the ocean and the ocean entire. We are all of it. Love. That God is love. I have experienced that love. I have known God. May all love encompass you and me. May all love encompass us. May we experience that love for ourselves. A love beyond measure. at the heart of all humankind, at the heart of all forms of LIFE... GOD. CONTEMPLATION ON STARDUST

Being that our atoms in our body were created at the start of our universe during the Big Bang. So if you look at it this way, then you’re about 13.7 billion years old. But your body also has heavier elements like copper and zinc. These atoms were created in the dying stage of an exploding star called a supernova. These elements were flung into space as dust and gas (stardust). Eventually, they coalesced to become part of a new forming solar system and our planet Earth. Because you are made from matter from the Earth, you are made of stardust from old supernovas. So turns out, your body is made up of bits and pieces of star and cosmic dust. E.H. Your essence however is an energy called love, extending far beyond any matter or form, existing everywhere simultaneously in equal measure. Compared to this core reality all form and matter are but illusion. THE EVENING CONTEMPLATION

It costs me nothing to feel that I am; it is no burden to me. And yet if the mental, physical, chemical, and other innumerable facts concerning all branches of knowledge which have united in me could be broken up, they would prove endless. It is some untold mystery of unity in me, that has the simplicity of the infinite and reduces the immense mass of multitude to a single point. This One in me knows the universe of the many. But, in whatever it knows, it knows the One in different aspects. It knows this room only because this room is One to it, in spite of the seeming contradiction of the endless facts contained in the single fact of the room. Its knowledge of a tree is the knowledge of a unity, which appears in the aspect of a tree. This One in me is creative. Its creations are a pastime, through which it gives expression[vi] to an ideal of unity in its endless show of variety. Such are its pictures, poems, and music, in which it finds joy only because they reveal the perfect forms of an inherent unity. This One in me not only seeks unity in knowledge for its understanding and creates images of unity for its delight; it also seeks union in love for its fulfillment. It seeks itself in others. This is a fact, which would be absurd had there been no great medium of truth to give it reality. In love, we find a joy that is ultimate because it is the ultimate truth. Therefore it is said in the Upanishads that the advaitam is anantam,—"the One is Infinite"; that the advaitam is anandam,—"the One is Love." The environmental crisis is inseparable from the spiritual crisis that exists within the soul of most modern men and women and, is in fact an objectivization of this primarily inward crisis. Seyyad Hossein Nasr Time is running out on our ability to manage successfully our impact on this our home, Mother Earth, its environment, bio-diversity, resource and life-support systems on which life as we know it depends. The response and action that is now required of us must be firmly rooted in our deepest moral and spiritual principles. The Evening Contemplation

The patterns, dynamics, and laws that govern us in our lives, that interweave between our thinking mind and the heart’s wisdom… apply as much collectively as they do individually. When we talk about individual consciousness it is part of a whole that is embedded within humanity….of which, we are but a tiny part. To accept and understand that each of us has a profound effect on the energy of our world and in the universe as a whole, in its polarity between light and dark and, how much of each becomes manifest in any given moment. We are responsible for how much light is in our world, or how much darkness is. It is the purview of each of us then to find the truth within the realms of our own heart and to discover the one love that binds us together there, yet in doing so sets us all free and, to share with each other our stories of the light found there, beyond the darkness. To help each other through our own work on ourselves, on our alignment with the will of the universe, this great mystery shrouded always in love, and to share this outward with humility and grace to all sentient beings everywhere.  Nigel Lott. teaandzen.org Have you held a hand today…. got a hug, in giving and sharing the energy of love? if not will you do so now for all our sakes? ABOUT THIS SHOW

Threads is a contemplative audio offering from Meditation Sans Frontières, a sanctuary devoted to presence, remembrance, and the quiet radiance of being.
