Day 121—Covenant and Radiance: Exodus 34:10-35

Moses came down the mountain not knowing his face was shining. Forty days in God's presence, and the glow was unconscious—the residue of where he had been, not a performance of what he wanted to be. You don't have to manufacture the radiance. You only have to go back. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-121covenant-and-radiance. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

Day 120—Name and Nature: Exodus 34:1-9

After Israel built the golden calf and Moses smashed the tablets, God told Moses to cut new stone and come back up the mountain. Then God descended in a cloud, stood with him, and said His own name out loud—not just "Yahweh" but everything Yahweh means: merciful, gracious, slow to anger, abundant in faithfulness, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin. Moses didn't analyze it. He hurried to the ground and prayed. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-120name-and-nature. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  3. 115

Day 119—Presence and Glory: Exodus 33:1-23

God offered Moses everything: angel escort, military victory, land flowing with milk and honey. Everything except His own presence. Moses said no. If Your presence doesn't go with us, don't take us up from here. He refused the Promised Land without God. The destination without the Presence was no destination at all. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-119presence-and-glory. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  4. 114

    Day 118—The Descent: Exodus 32:15-35

Moses comes down the mountain carrying the law of God written by the finger of God—and hears the camp before he can see it. The sound tells him everything. He breaks the tablets. He destroys the calf. He confronts Aaron, who says the calf just came out of the fire. And then, the next morning, Moses goes back up. Not because the rubble is cleared. Because the sin is still between Israel and God, and he is the only one willing to stand there. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-118the-descent. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  5. 113

    Day 117—The Mountain: Exodus 32:7-14

God says "your people, whom you brought out of Egypt." Moses says back: "Your people, whom You brought out." Six words apart—and between them, everything. Moses doesn't argue that Israel deserves mercy. He doesn't claim they are good. He pleads the covenant, the name, and the character of God. That is not the prayer of someone who knows about God. That is the prayer of someone who knows Him. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-117the-mountain. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  6. 112

    Day 116—The Making: Exodus 32:1-6

They didn't stop believing in God. They built a version of Him they could hold in their hands—and worshipped it the way they had watched Egypt worship for four hundred years. Aaron called it "a feast to Yahweh." The people rose early, brought offerings, and rose up to play. The calf was comfortable. The mountain was true. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-116the-making. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  7. 111

Day 115—Spirit and Sabbath: Exodus 31:1-18

God commissioned the most detailed building project in Israel's history—and wove a command for rest into the commission itself. Not as an afterthought. Not as a reward for finishing. Right there in the instructions. Keep the Sabbath, He said. Rest is part of the blueprint. And the man He called to build it wasn't a priest or a prophet. He was a craftsman, filled with the Spirit of God—for work done with gold and wood and stone. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-115spirit-and-sabbath. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  8. 110

Day 114—Fragrance and Foundation: Exodus 30:1-38

Five separate instructions in one chapter—a golden altar, a ransom for every counted life, a basin for washing, a holy anointing oil, a sacred incense compound. They seem disconnected. They are not. Each one answers the same question: How do broken human beings come near to a holy God? And the answer is not: try harder. The answer is: God designs the approach. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-114fragrance-and-foundation. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  9. 109

Day 113—Washed and Whole: Exodus 29:1-46

At no point in the ordination ceremony does Aaron do anything to make himself ready. He is washed. He is clothed. He is anointed. He is marked with blood from ear to toe. Every verb of preparation belongs to God, not Aaron. And at the end of it all, God says the quiet part plainly: I will dwell among them. That was always the point. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-113washed-and-whole. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  10. 108

Day 112—Holiness and Hem: Exodus 28:31-43

Around the hem of the high priest's robe, alternating: a golden bell, a pomegranate, a golden bell, a pomegranate. As long as the bells rang, the people waiting outside knew he was alive. The work was continuing. Their offering was being carried. And on his forehead, three words: Holy to the LORD. Not his holiness. Assigned holiness—so imperfect worship could be accepted anyway. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-112holiness-and-hem. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  11. 107

Day 111—Shoulders and Heart: Exodus 28:1-30

God designed the high priest to carry the names of His people into the presence of the holy—on his shoulders, over his heart. Six tribes on one stone. Six on the other. Every name. Secured with chains and cord so they couldn't swing loose. This is what it looks like when God refuses to let His people be forgotten. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-111shoulders-and-heart. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  12. 106

Day 110—Altar and Courtyard: Exodus 27:1-21

For most Israelites, the bronze altar was as far as they ever went. They didn't pass through to the ark or the lampstand or the veil. They came to the courtyard, brought a sacrifice, and met God at the altar. The structure was the sermon: there is no path to a holy God that goes around the place where the cost is paid. But the altar was also the place where you ran when you needed mercy. Both things at once. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-110altar-and-courtyard. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  13. 105

Day 109—Curtains and Covering: Exodus 26:1-37

The most glorious layer of the tabernacle was hidden from public view—made for God alone. Day 109 explores what Exodus 26 says about the beauty no one else can see, the veil that told the truth, and the One who tore it. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-109curtains-and-covering. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  14. 104

Day 108—Offerings and Ark: Exodus 25:1-40

In the middle of a detailed construction manual, God interrupts Himself with His reason: "that I may dwell among them." Not above them. Not at a safe distance. Among them. The entire architecture of the tabernacle—the gold, the cherubim, the mercy seat—is in service of that one sentence. A God who draws up His own blueprint for living with broken people is not a God who has given up on them. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-108offerings-and-ark. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  15. 103

Day 107—Covenant and Confirmation: Exodus 24:1-18

The people promised twice: "All that God has spoken, we will do." They broke it in forty days. And yet the covenant held—because it was never sealed by their promise. It was sealed by blood. And Moses entered a consuming fire so they didn't have to. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-107covenant-and-confirmation. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  16. 102

Day 106—Justice and Journey: Exodus 23:1-33

The Book of the Covenant ends not with more obligations but with a promise: I send an angel before you to keep you by the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. After all the laws about enemies' donkeys and firstfruits and Sabbath years, God turns and says: but here is what I am doing. I go first. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-106justice-and-journey. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  17. 101

Day 105—Restitution and Righteousness: Exodus 22:1-31

In the middle of a law about borrowed coats, God calls Himself gracious. When a cold man cries out because his cloak wasn't returned, God says: I hear him. I am gracious. This is not a psalm or a liturgy. It is property law. And it reveals a God who has never stopped watching the ones no one else is watching. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-105restitution-and-righteousness. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  18. 100

Day 104 — Justice and Mercy: Exodus 21

"Eye for eye, tooth for tooth" is not a charter for vengeance. It was a ceiling on revenge—proportional justice in a world of blood feuds. And behind every case in Exodus 21 is the same consistent movement: toward the protection of the vulnerable, the defense of the powerless, the God who never forgets what it cost to be a slave in Egypt. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-104-justice-and-mercy. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  19. 99

Day 103 — Darkness and Drawing Near: Exodus 20:18-26

Moses drew near the thick darkness where God was—while everyone else stayed far away. He was going where they could not go, carrying what they could not carry. Every time Moses crossed that boundary, Scripture was preparing you to recognize someone else. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-103-darkness-and-drawing-near. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  20. 98

Day 102 — Commands and Covenant: Exodus 20:1-17

The Ten Commandments begin not with a rule but with a rescue: "I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt." Grace precedes law. Deliverance precedes demand. And the final commandment reveals that God was always addressing the heart—which is exactly why the law drives us toward grace. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-102-commands-and-covenant. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  21. 97

Day 101 — Summoned and Set Apart: Exodus 19

Before God gave Israel a single command, He reminded them of what He had already done: "I bore you on eagles' wings and brought you to myself." The covenant at Sinai begins not with demand but with remembrance. Grace comes first. It always does. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-101-summoned-and-set-apart. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  22. 96

Day 100 — Wisdom and Welcome: Exodus 18

God meets exhausted people. Before Moses received the Law at Sinai, God sent a wise old man across the desert with his wife, his children, and a word he needed to hear: "The thing that you do is not good." Help came before the next hard thing. It often does. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-100-wisdom-and-welcome. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  23. 95

Day 99 — Water and War: Exodus 17

Israel arrived at Rephidim—by God's own command—and found no water. Then the battle came. Two crises, one campsite, and one lesson: God meets you in the place you didn't choose, with provision you couldn't have arranged. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-99-water-and-war. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  24. 94

Day 98 — Manna and Mystery: Exodus 16

God could have given Israel enough food for forty years all at once. He didn't. He gave them one day's portion, every morning, for four decades. There's something deeply intentional about that rhythm—and it might be for you too. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-98-manna-and-mystery. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  25. 93

Day 97 — Bitter and Sweet: Exodus 15:22-27

Israel sang their hearts out—and three days later they were murmuring over bitter water. God was not surprised. He already knew about the twelve springs at Elim. He knows what's ahead of you too. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-97-bitter-and-sweet. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  26. 92

Day 96 — Singing and Celebrating: Exodus 15:1-21

Worship is not a discipline imposed on the delivered. It is what breaks open when the heart finally sees what God has done. Miriam was ninety years old and still leading the chorus. There is room in this song for you. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-96-singing-and-celebrating. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  27. 91

Day 95 — Crossing and Conquering: Exodus 14

Israel didn't believe their way into the crossing. They crossed—and then they believed. God acts first. Faith responds to what He has done. This is how grace has always worked. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-95-crossing-and-conquering. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  28. 90

Day 94—Consecration and Cloud: Exodus 13

God didn't hand Israel a map and wave goodbye. He stepped out in front. Pillar of cloud by day, pillar of fire by night—and the text makes a point of saying it didn't depart. The same God who led them through the night is leading you. He goes before you. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-94consecration-and-cloud. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  29. 89

Day 93—Blood and Breakthrough: Exodus 12

When I see the blood, I will pass over you. God wasn't looking at Israel's record that night—He was looking at the lamb. Fifteen centuries later, He looked at the same thing on a cross outside Jerusalem. The blood has always been enough. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-93blood-and-breakthrough. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  30. 88

    Day 92—Final Warning: Exodus 11

One more plague. One more night. And in the middle of the announcement—not even a dog will bark in Goshen. That is not a footnote. That is a promise. God makes a distinction for His people, not because they earned it, but because He claimed them. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-92final-warning. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  31. 87

Day 91—Locusts and Light: Exodus 10

Three days. No light. A darkness so complete it could be felt. Egypt could not see. Could not move. Could not rise. And in the middle of it—all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings. That is not a footnote. That is the whole point. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-91locusts-and-light. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  32. 86

Day 90 — Confession and Consequence: Exodus 9

Pharaoh said all the right words. I have sinned. Yahweh is righteous. I and my people are wicked. Moses knew immediately it wasn't real. Exodus 9 doesn't just tell us about Egypt's plagues—it names the most dangerous spiritual pattern any of us can fall into: confessing in the storm, then hardening when the sky clears. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-90-confession-and-consequence. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  33. 85

Day 89 — Frogs and Fingers: Exodus 8

Three plagues in one chapter—and a line drawn around Goshen before the flies ever arrived. Exodus 8 is a portrait of divine patience: God warned Pharaoh, lifted every plague when asked, and kept the pressure off His people. It's also the most honest mirror Scripture offers for anyone who has ever chosen "tomorrow" when God said "now." The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-89-frogs-and-fingers. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  34. 84

Day 88 — Signs and Stubbornness: Exodus 7

Pharaoh watched the Nile turn to blood. He smelled the dead fish. He heard his people digging in the riverbanks for water. And he went home and didn't let it touch him. Exodus 7 names the most dangerous response to God — not rage, but indifference. And it shows us a God whose purposes are never thwarted by the hearts He's already accounted for. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-88-signs-and-stubbornness. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  35. 83

Day 87 — Promise and Presence: Exodus 6

Israel heard God's greatest promises and couldn't receive them. Not because they refused—but because they were too crushed. Exodus 6 records God speaking covenant over people too broken to hear it. He spoke it anyway. He held it until they could. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-87-promise-and-presence. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  36. 82

Day 86 — Defiance and Darkness: Exodus 5

Moses obeyed. Things got worse. He was dismissed by Pharaoh, abandoned by Israel, and left standing in the road. And then he did the only thing left: he went back to God and prayed the most honest prayer in the chapter. That is not failure. That is what faith looks like in the dark. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-86-defiance-and-darkness. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  37. 81

Day 85 — Weakness and Welcome: Exodus 4

Moses argued with God four times. God answered four times. The staff became a serpent. A brother was already on the road. And the people Moses feared would reject the message fell on their faces and worshiped. Grace doesn't wait for courage. It goes first. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-85-weakness-and-welcome. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  38. 80

Day 84 — Holiness and Hearing: Exodus 3

At a burning bush on the far edge of the wilderness, God spoke four verbs that carry everything: I have seen. I have heard. I know. I have come down. He was never absent. He is never absent. The companion written study for this episode is available free at https://bibleforthebroken.org/p/day-84-holiness-and-hearing. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  39. 79

Day 83 — Rescue and Recognition: Exodus 2

Moses tried to save his people in his own strength—and ended up a shepherd in Midian. God was not finished. He never is. Four verbs at the end of this chapter carry all the weight: heard, remembered, saw, knew. You can explore the full library of studies and resources at BiblefortheBroken.org.

  40. 78

Day 82 — Oppression and Oversight: Exodus 1:1-22

The chapter ends with a death decree. God's next move is a baby in a basket. He does not always respond with obvious power—but He is always preparing what comes next.
