Updates from the Host - Season 2 (Episode 10)

You. What is your purpose? What ideals do you stand on even when facing death? Even when outgunned and outnumbered? Even when outmatched and unprepared? The purpose is the next level, to take that next step toward something bigger than yourself. To commit yourself toward something you won’t see. Something you won’t touch and something you won’t smell. It is to look at the person next to you and for them to trust you to do your job, consistently and reliably. To do more than the bare minimum, to exceed all expectations and set a new precedent to be followed then raised. It is accountability when no one is watching. It is discipline when you smell food you aren’t supposed to eat. It is integrity to return things we find that do not belong to us. It is the decision to be more. To do more and to take the initiative amongst the sea complacency and uncertainty. As always thank you for your continued support and time. Throughout history the black male’s leadership has been scrutinized and sabotaged; but why? Why is society so eager to see him fail? Is it truly necessary for the growth and progression of the community or is it a liability that causes resentment and trauma? The meaning of specificity is, the state of being clearly defined or identified; to be precise, exact or distinguished.  Joining us today is Mike Parker, the owner and operator of unlimited fixers, co-owner of 24 hour maintenance and repairs, and business partner of Realty of Dallas Elite.  This episode (The Generational Regression from the 1980’s to 2021) assesses the present-tense condition of the African American home with an elder in our community. We discuss how our culture has become sports, drugs and violence which financially benefits other communities to our detriment. How the stability of the home was stripped away from us via the criminal justice system (three strikes law) and how we don't truly utilize the $1.2 trillion in spending power for our progression. Maybe it is time to get back to the fundamentals of the civil rights movement? Maybe it is time to destroy the culture & start anew? Maybe it's too late to change anything? In this episode we explore what was, what is and what will be as we are reminded of how far we have come as well as how powerful we truly are as a community.  --Sounds are not owned by The Specificity Podcast and can be found on Youtube;  1. To the new listeners and to the regular listeners. Welcome to specificity, spell it. S.P.E.C.I.F.I.C.I.T.Y. Where we ask specific questions, about specific topics, getting specific answers. The Meaning of specificity is, the state of being clearly defined or identified; to be precise, exact or distinguished. This episode (More about the Host) a listener recommended we take a deeper look into why the host thinks the way he does and what drives him. A counseling session with himself. Who is he? What does he do? Why does he do the things he does? Where did it start? What is his purpose? What is his end result? What does he stand for and what keeps him going even when the results aren't evident or obvious? This episode answers those questions. There is no try only do or do not. --Sounds are not owned by The Specificity Podcast and can be found on Youtube;  1. Roc Series Nightmare On Emerson Street 2. Episode #2: Relationships and Gender Roles in the Black Community with Barry Irving

Joining us today is Barry Irving, a martial artist, a published poet, a short story writer and the founder of Journi’s mixed media coming this December 2021.  This episode (Relationships and Gender Roles in the Black Community) we elaborate on what it means to be in a relationship both romantic and non-romantic as well as gender roles. In society there are an abundance of terms and meanings used to describe a female and a male as well as the partnership of each both romantic and non-romantic. For the sake of the children and for the youth who are still finding themselves we get down to the science and fundamental purpose of each allowing them to have a stable foundational understanding. We discuss the 23rd chromosome and the significant part it plays in the anatomical structure of each organism as well as the scientific influence that chromosome has on each mammal from its conception regarding height, weight, function and even the amount of force it is able to exert. This conversation ensures our understanding is based on the science of mammals and human anatomy instead of emotion, politics and social status. --Sounds are not owned by The Specificity Podcast and can be found on Youtube;  1. Episode #1: What Black People Need From a President with Joey Pozo

Joining us today is Joey Pozo, a potential 2032 presidential candidate and General manager in the restaurant business. He is also involved in day trading stocks and cryptocurrency, as well as art and asset brokering.  In this episode (What Black People Need From a President) we find ourselves with an interesting opportunity. An opportunity to speak with a presidential candidate early in his career before he inevitably becomes engulfed in politics and the popularity that coincides with the field. During the conversation we ask his intent, we ask what party he will represent because in reality that is whose agenda he will have to push to stay relevant and useful to them. We ask him what he will do to re-industrialize predominantly black cities, meaning returning trade courses back into inner city high schools instead of the votech monopoly that exists today as an external 3rd party partner. He was also asked about signing a hate crime bill for African Americans to protect them from police genocide seeing that it has been a reoccuring theme for generations. These questions among others are the conversations that lead to the passing of legislation.   --Sounds are not owned by The Specificity Podcast and can be found on Youtube;  1.
