Unlock The Genius Within

I used to suck at having the difficult conversations. Not just professionally, but personally too.  My attempts would go one of two ways, either I'd explode and get really angry or I'd go quiet and just agree with whatever the other person said while judging them harshly in my head. Because of this I just stopped having the difficult conversations altogether. Essentially I thought they were a waste of my time and just got focused on the future instead.  What I didn't understand back then was that through choosing to avoid dealing with the conflict, I was also choosing to hold onto all the toxic emotions that came from the conflict. As a result my life just slowed down, I put on weight, money was harder to generate, genuine connection was difficult and stressing out was all too easy. Just like a full laptop hard drive, I had limited space for the new to come in.  In this episode today I speak about my experience with this challenge, how I eventually became better at addressing conflict in my life and the key learnings I took away from making it a priority. 

Gen’s tech company has gained serious momentum! When we sat down for the Genius Session a month ago, Gen expressed that she was stuck overthinking quite a bit. She was unsure whether her tech was streamlined enough to launch. She was questioning what type of offers she needed to make to gain traction in the market. She wasn't certain on whether she needed outside investors for the launch and was little lost on where she could find a tech mentor. After going through the processes with me, Gen clearly saw that her next best step in launching her tech company was to actually start a podcast and not worry about investors, mentors, offers or streamlining the tech. One month on, Gen has taken the action step and is absolutely reaping the rewards from it! In this call, she reveals all the incredible things that have unfolded for her and also receives a reading from me on what her genius is guiding her to focus on next in the business.

Welcome back to the Unlock The Genius Within! Today I speak about the power of the unconscious mind, and how choosing to remain unaware of its message is fatal to our ability to create what we want. Back when I was a kid I was told by psychologists that I would struggle with anxiety and panic attacks for the rest of my life. They suggested it was predisposed and that I'd need to continue to get help in order to overcome them. Being a kid, I assumed this was the truth and of course went on to experience anxiety attacks right up until the pandemic hit. Though I continued to seek help, none of the personal development material or coping strategies worked long term. Sure they provided a band aid, but inevitably the attacks would resurface after later down the line. It was only when I learnt about alchemy and the subconscious mind, that I saw I was unconsciously setting myself up to relive my anxiety attacks. Without me really knowing I was focused on how "powerless" and "incapable" I was in the world and that without the protection of my mother & father I was doomed. Though I consciously knew that wasn't true in the present as an adult, the message that 5 year old Jordan took on was still firmly in play. The power the unconscious mind has really cannot be underestimated. In today's episode I speak about this in detail and also take you through a very quick visualisation exercise that will give you a look into your own unconscious mind and what it is telling your subconscious to create in your life. The exercise finishes with you being prompted to receive a message from your genius that'll help you shift out of the limiting beliefs at play.

In this episode I speak about how momentum is always being generated by our genius, it has an intelligence that is continually drumming up opportunities, people and resources that can support our creations. But when we assume that simply doesn't exist, we buy into the fact that we are alone in our creations and try to force things to happen dysfunctional manner. Welcome back to the Genius Sessions! On today's episode I welcome a former client of mine and good friend, Natalie Svendsen. Natalie is a meditation & mindset coach, who helps professionals navigate big changes & transitions so they can create a life of their dreams. She came on to the show today, because she had been feeling like she'd lost her mojo in her business. All the systems, offers and strategies are in place to grow her business but she's been procrastinating in actually putting it out there. After diving a little deeper it was clear that Natalie was very attached to perfecting everything in her business to avoid burning out and putting out a subpar service. Very quickly after deconstructing her situation, Natalie quickly saw the ways in which her ego had trapped her on a hamster wheel chasing perfection. To alchemise the creative structure she was in, I gave Natalie an intuitive reading about the business her genius wanted her build. I specifically went for the vision of the whole company, aiming to superconsciously receive the market, message, main offer and model of it all in one hit. And like always, the superconscious mind didn't disappoint. Welcome back to The Genius Sessions! On this episode I welcomed my guest, Urszula Carr. Urszula is a doctor who has an inspiring coaching practice dedicated to helping burnt out medical professionals live more inspired and fulfilling lives. She applied to be on the show because she was experiencing a fear of selling her services and a block in clarifying and expressing her marketing message. After delving into her situation on a deeper level at the beginning of the session, I quickly saw that there was another limiting structure at play that was causing her to feel fearful and blocked. Through deconstructing this we were able to successfully disarm the limiting message and free up space to call in Urszula's genius. Within a matter of minutes of being guided deep into the intuitive exercise, Urszula connected to some powerful insights about her market, overall vision and genius value proposition. On today's episode I speak about accessing your innate wisdom and the power in using it to create a new reality. With all the spiritual and manifestation content out there, intuition can be highly misunderstood and discounted as an unreliable source of information. Something that is more of a marketing gimmick than an actual part of ourselves that is highly useful in the real world. Personally, the experience I've had of my intuition has been highly practical and reliable. From using it to guide me in my personal relationships, writing endeavours, music production and business projects it continues to astound me how magical and on point its guidance is when followed. Anchoring your genius ideas & emotions in your nervous system has 2 main components to it: 1. An activated and receptive body 2. A clear relationship between your subconscious & your superconscious. In this week's episode I share how recently I have been practicing the Wim Hof breathing method after a 2 minute cold shower each morning. This addition to my regular exercise routine has increased my body's sensitivity to emotions. Emotions that reflective of the past and also emotions that are reflective of my genius visions. This has powered a lot of creativity, clarity & action over the last 7 days particularly in my business, it's like I understand on a body level now what I'm going for. Today on my podcast I spoke about Money Stories. The stories that drive people to go after loads of cash and also the ones that lead people to refusing to care about it at all.  I have been on either side and I did not hold back in sharing my experiences of both.  Money is important, there’s no hiding from that. In fact I’d go as far as saying that in many cases it is a by product of creating your true genius.  But it is NOT the point of it. Off the back of the first episode of the "The Genius Sessions" I was inspired to speak about a topic that most business owners and entrepreneurs obsess about, credibility. I myself have learnt to obsess about it throughout my previous career in sales. Today I speak openly about how my insecurities have driven me to "puff myself up" and "talk a big game" in my businesses and other creative endeavours. I break down why I've done this and how I now pull myself out of it when it occurs. This is a very new shift for me (I literally got called on it yesterday in a reading), so the message in this episode is just as much as for my learning as it is for yours. My new assumption is that our genius doesn't need credibility or permission to be fully expressed. Yes, at times it can feel like the dream we'd love is so far away and it can be easy to allow the ego to make your current reality feel like doomsday. But with a bit of awareness you can easily step out of it and allow your genius to come in. I believe credibility occurs as a by product of expressing our genius, because at the end of the day that's all I believe we really want. We aren't in business, music or writing to talk about how commercially successful we are. We are there to create an end result for people that we'd love to serve and that's it. I hope this episode inspires you today to sink deeper into your current reality so you can really go for your genius regardless whether you feel like have permission to do so.  P.S. Introducing The Genius Sessions!  Twice a month I will be having a guest on my podcast who is wanting to receive coaching from myself around something that they’ve struggled with inside their business. Don't Fix What's Not Broken! On today's episode I go deep into the problem with focusing on solving problems! Welcome back to "Unlock The Genius Within". Today I speak about holding back! There have been many things that I've gone for and wanted to go for in my life where I've assumed I would be judged for doing so. Judged by others, by the world, but (if I'm honest) mostly by myself. In the early part of my creative journey, everything I went for needed a solid reason behind it and a sense of acceptance from others. If these components weren't there, then I would create a living hell for myself internally, while either trying to go for the thing or giving up altogether. It's only been in the last 2 years that I've learnt it doesn't need to be like this! It can actually be much more simple, and that's what I speak about today. Welcome back to the Unlock The Genius Within Podcast! There's been a huge change! This show will no longer be following a "how-to" format, as now I am focused on sharing & documenting my experiences, lessons & principles that I gain through following my own creative genius.
