What this snapshot can tell you

The catalog shows the relative breadth of discoverable publisher metadata inside PodParley and provides a reproducible baseline for future snapshots.

What it cannot tell you

Catalog counts do not measure listening, downloads, revenue, active production, or editorial quality. Those questions require different first-party datasets.

How the snapshot will evolve

Future editions can compare like-for-like catalog coverage, transcript availability, active-feed rates, and category mix while preserving the same definitions.

Counts come from PodParley’s current MongoDB catalog at request time. A catalog record is not proof that a show is actively publishing or has listeners. Category totals may overlap because a podcast can carry multiple publisher-supplied categories. This report does not estimate the size, revenue, or audience of the global podcast industry.
