109 - How to cope with emotional numbness

from Assertive Radiance

For most of my life, I put my feelings on hold. I assumed everything else around me was more important. The truth is I lived in fear. Fear that I created in my mind.  For years, I look for the outer world to make me feel good and beautiful. In this state of lack, I spent more time in the blame, shame, and justify game. Then one day, I got tired of walking on eggshell and picking my battle. I put my foot down and decided that I had enough of pretending that life was great the way it was. That’s when I decided I wanted to feel and live again.  The experience brought me a new degree of understanding. Depression is a state of mind where we deprive ourselves of our emotions. We think we have to suck it up because there are no other choices. It is not normal to walk on eggshell, feeling like you have to pick your battles, or worse hide and bottle your feelings in fear of displeasing the people around you. We all have one life to live and living without expressing our feeling is to deny self-love.  Listen in as I share with you my experience in choosing to uproot my whole life in the quest to find emotional, spiritual, and financial freedom. If you need help processing your emotions, schedule your free 30-Minute consultation click this link.
