We feel stuck and tons of yucky, yucky emotions will wash over you.Trying to control things you cannot control guarantees you stress and misery. Solution and Examples: It takes time to develop this muscle, but you have to zoom out to a place where you realize that you cannot control the thing you are focused on. You must begin to ask yourself, "What can I control here?".People who sit and talk about the weather, politics, or their family members are spending their time on things they cannot control. We go through our real life processing about moving to a bigger house using the things we can and cannot control. Serenity Prayer "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference."
