162: The Importance Of Processing Your Emotions With Gillian Small

from MUVE Forward · host Michelle Wolfe

Today, I had the pleasure of speaking with Gillian Small. Gillian is a transformational Life Coach, Quantum EFT Practitioner, Intuitive Reiki Master, Yoga Instructor, Writer, and Author. Gillian has been studying and practicing tapping for four years, and working with clients for the past three years. She did her training through the National Emotional Freedom Techniques Training Institute (NeftTI).Gillian went through a time in her life where she was having severe troubles with managing her anxiety and was also having frequent panic attacks. She discusses how every type of trauma we experience is linked back to our childhood or something that hasn’t yet been resolved or worked through. She has been able to get through her own anxiety and panic attacks through Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). EFT, also known as tapping, is a unique process of tapping into past lives with the intention of identifying and releasing negative experiences that could be contributing to your current life struggles or challenges. Tapping is safe, quick, and ultimately uncovers the beliefs you would rather feel about yourself. Gillian believes in and fully understands the restorative and transformative benefits of tapping and aspires to help clients let go of emotional stress that is holding them back using these techniques. On this episode we dive into: Where Gillian’s passion to help others comes from. How to cope with the “busyness” of life. Her Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) to deal with stress and emotion. The importance of loving yourself and letting go.The signs that show you may be holding onto past emotional trauma. The take-home: Life can be a roller coaster of emotions. How we deal with those emotions is something a lot of people try to avoid. One of the most important things we can do to reach our best sense of self is to do the inner work, first. The inner work ultimately projects on our outside world and thus, our results. Through the process of EFT and tapping, emotions can shift very quickly; and the key is tapping through the emotions as they are felt to then shift them to new feelings. It is so important to allow each other to show emotion, process it, and then start moving forward. Everything is aligned and timed as is it meant to be. Know that your anxiety is not forever, it’s temporary. Nobody has to live with pain and suffering — there are powerful techniques to get through them. Gillian states that, “If I can get through it, anybody can.” She strives to allow clients to see that there is peace and freedom on the other side.
