48. The Trap of Staying in “Healing Mode”

from LIBERATED · host Leslie Medley

In this solo episode, I’m speaking to the woman who has already done a lot of healing work. You’re aware. You’re conscious. You’ve been doing “the work” for years. But you might still find yourself hesitating to fully step into your visibility, leadership, and self-expression. In this episode, I share a perspective that might shift everything: Healing was never the destination. It was the preparation. At some point, the next step isn’t more healing. It’s leadership. I talk about the subtle trap many women fall into... staying in the identity of “the one who is healing”, and how this can quietly keep us from stepping into the impact, visibility, and leadership we’re actually ready for. Leadership doesn’t require perfection. It requires willingness. A willingness to show up, take the next step, and stretch into the woman you are becoming. So I’ll leave you with this question: Where are you still identifying with the woman who is healing… when it might actually be time to become the woman who leads? Send me a message on Instagram with your answer. I absolutely LOVE hearing from you!!

Imagine an academy deeply rooted and committed to the classical liberal arts, stocked to the brim with well-known, world-class faculty, and universally accessible. A true and human liberation has always been the promise of an education in the liberal arts.
