76: Are You Paying Attention To The Signs?

from MUVE Forward · host Michelle Wolfe

Are you looking for the answers to live your best life? Have you ever had that gut feeling like you should or shouldn’t be doing something? You know what I mean. The little butterflies in your tummy, or the little angel on your shoulder sending you a sign, and all you need to do is listen.Well recently, my own body has been sharing with me that I have some things going on, and I’ve been pushing it off because it was easy for me to say, “it’s not a big deal.” Overtime though, the little voice will get stronger and something that wasn’t a big deal, becomes a big deal which means even more work to get back on track. I understand wanting to push things off! I’ve been there too, but your body has an intuition for a reason and it is important that you take the time to listen to it, and take action.Your intuition gives you physical and mental signs day in and day out. Today we’re going to talk about some of the signs that you can look for and how to know when and what action to take. Signs to Look For:Look for change in something. Something that is not your typical norm. For example: the way you feel, your sleep patterns, the state of your digestive system, your mental state, you skin etc. If it’s subtle, mentally take a note of it so that you can remember it in the future if it comes up again. If it’s serious, seek professional help. This could also be something that you do deal with on a day to day, but it’s not necessarily you functioning at your best but instead you continue to ignore it. Another sign to pay attention to is anything related to you skin: cold sores, acne, eczema, rashes etc. Anything related to a skin issue is often related to an unhealthy gut. We have both good and bad bacteria in our gut and often when we give our body extra stress (mentally, environmentally, or with unhealthy foods), this stress then can lead the bad bacteria overtaking the good bacteria causing further health issues in our bodies. Because we can’t see inside our gut, our bodies send us signs of this internal gut-battle typically in the form of skin issues. When we recognize this, and that it doesn’t have to be that way, we can seek professional help and put a plan in place to build up the good bacteria to get back on track. If you listen to your body and the signs it’s sharing with you, you can prevent it from getting worse. In turn, we can prevent a lot of stress and pain, and thus, potential disease in the future. If you don’t change it, the stress with start to affect your physical life as well as your relationships. Listen to what your body is telling you, and then take action to bring it back to it’s normal, high functioning state. Over time, being mindful of the signs will allow you to know exactly what triggers you to feel certain things or have certain reactions. All we can really do is pay attention and do our best so that we can seek proper care and eliminate things that aren’t serving our bodies. Think about what are the signs that your body is showing you? Are you currently working to find out what’s going on, or are you ignoring it? Our bodies are each so unique, and as a Health and Wellness Coach, I am happy to help you be more aware of the signs that you may be ignoring and guide you to seek the proper help so that you can better yourselves and live a long and happy life.
