When WWII threatens to shut down baseball, candy man Walter Harvey (Garry Marshall) bankrolls an all girls pro baseball league. He enlists Ira Lowenstein (David Strathairn) to run it and he sends scout, Ernie Capadino (Jon Lovitz) around the country to sign up ball playing dollies. Sisters, Dottie and Kit (Geena Davis, Lori Petty) team up with the Rockford Peaches (Madonna, Rosie O'Donnell, Megan Cavanagh, Tracy Reiner, Bitty Schram, Ann Cusack, Anne Ramsey, Freddie Simpson, Renee Coleman, etc.) under washed up coach, Jimmy Dugan (T no Hanks) to inspire and entertain crowds in ballparks across the country. A Penny Marshall classic that taught us there's no crying in baseball. A League Of Their Own, with special guest research assistant LORETTA, this week on Doom Generation.
