Background noise

What’s the soundtrack of your home today? Laughter down the hall, children bickering over a sofa cushion, the hum of the washing machine… even silence has its own sound. Every family has a background noise, and it shapes how we feel. Squabbles can wear us down, while a burst of giggles can lift us for hours.So instead of fighting the soundtrack, try listening with curiosity: “Ah, this is what life sounds like here.” Notice when it’s grating, savour it when it’s joyful.
