"Chasing After Shadows" is about the lies we tell to ourselves, about how we exploit our resources and contaminate our environment and call it "progress" leaving nothing but destruction behind and selling each other the fruits of that destruction without giving a thought to what we lost, the track dives deep into the reality of today disguising it as a "distant future".
