Come to Me (Ep 38)

from PocketNeif Podcast · host Mike Neifert

I seems there are a lot of people worn out by all that's going on around them. They're burned out, stressed, worried, afraid. In Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus invites weary and burdened people to come to him and find rest. About seven years ago, I wrote a song based on the words of our savior, inviting listeners to do as he says, to come to him. I pray you will be encouraged as you hear Jesus' words and the lyrics of my song. Come to Me Verse 1: Come to me, you who are weary. Come to me, with your burdens and your cares. Come to me, you who are weary, And I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, Learn from me, my child. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light, You will find rest for your souls, Rest for your souls. Verse 2: For I am gentle, I am meek, I am humble in heart. Come to me, you bound and you battered. You will find rest for your souls, Rest for your souls. Verse 3: All you oppressed, all you imprisoned, Pitiful, poor, blind, unclothed, All you unloved, all you rejected, Come find rest for your souls, Rest for your souls. 2013 Mike Neifert
