Dick Tracy (1990): "Big Boy Did It."

from Doom Generation · host The Dames of Doom

We're drenching ourselves in the splendor of a film that was everywhere and then nowhere. Dick Tracy (Warren Beatty), in an effort to curb illegal gambling, breaks up a speakeasy club run by Lips Manly (Paul Sorvino), but is hindered by a takeover led by Big Boy Caprice (Al Pacino) and his gang: Flathead (William Forsythe), Mumbles (Dustin Hoffman), Pruneface (R.G. Armstrong - not Ronald Reagan), Numbers (James Tolkan), piano player 88 Keys (Mandy Patinkin) and gorgeous moll, Breathless Mahoney (MADONNA). Dick is forced to run in the streets, leaving long suffering Tess Trueheart (Glenne Headly) with the Kid (Charlie Korsmo) he found at the dump. Can he solve the mystery of No Face (???) who's trying to take power over the whole city?
