Doce meses de temperaturas más altas que en la era preindustrial

El monitor climático europeo Copernicus destacó que el mundo enfrentó por primera vez 12 meses consecutivos con temperaturas 1,5 ºC más altas que en la era preindustrial. Nunca antes un mes de enero había experimentado temperaturas tan elevadas. Además, enero de 2024, recién concluido, estuvo marcado por olas de calor en América del Sur. En la región se registraron récords de temperatura y los incendios forestales se multiplicaron en Colombia y Chile.
