Even though I live in Singapore, my friends come from Japan to visit me.It means a lot to me every time.I’d like to share why 🎧==Instagram & Note(Blog)==https://www.instagram.com/outsidejapclass/https://note.com/taitaijapclass==How to use the scripts=1.You can listen first and guess the meaning without the script.2.You can read the script while listening.3.You can also practise reading out loud with the audio.However there is no right or wrong way.You can also simply enjoy the content and listen to the podcast for fun.Just relax and enjoy the podcast==Japanese and English scripts==私は、シンガポールに来てから、もう数年が経ちました。I’ve been living in Singapore for a few years now.これまで、何人もの友達が遊びに来てくれました。Many of my friends have come to visit me.仕事で来たり、旅行で来たり、いろいろな理由があります。Some come for work, and some come for holidays.そのたびに、私に連絡をくれます。And each time, they contact me.それが、とてもうれしいです。That makes me very happy.私の友達は、関西や東京、名古屋など、いろいろな場所に住んでいます。My friends live in different places like Kansai, Tokyo, and Nagoya.みんなに会うために、何度も日本へ行くのは難しいです。It’s difficult to go back to Japan many times just to see everyone.でも、友達がシンガポールに来てくれるので、寂しくないです。But because they come to Singapore, I don’t feel lonely.友達に聞くと、シンガポールは行きやすいと言っていました。When I ask them, they say Singapore is easy to visit.日本から近くて、安全で、楽しい国だからです。It’s close to Japan, safe, and fun.私も、そう思います。I feel the same.もし、ヨーロッパやアメリカ、オーストラリアなどに住んでいたら、少し違ったと思います。If I lived in Europe, America, or Australia, it might be different.なかなか友達も来られなかった気がします。I feel like it would be harder for them to visit.シンガポールは、ちょうどいい距離にあると思います。Singapore feels like just the right distance.アジアは近くて、魅力的な場所です。Asia is close and attractive.だから、旅行のついでに、私にも会いに来てくれます。So they visit me while they are travelling.それが、とてもありがたいです。I really appreciate that.友達が来てくれたときは、ローカルなレストランに連れて行ったり、観光案内をしたりします。When my friends visit, I take them to local restaurants and show them around.それをとても喜んでくれます。They really enjoy it.その様子を見ると、私もうれしくなります。Seeing that makes me happy too.シンガポールを案内できるようになってきたと感じると、少し成長した気がします。When I feel I can guide them around Singapore, I feel like I’ve grown a bit.そして、日本のことについて友達と話す時間も、とても楽しいです。And talking about Japan with my friends is also very enjoyable.スポーツの話をしたり、お笑いの話をしたりします。We talk about sports and comedy.共通の友達の話で盛り上がることもあります。Sometimes we get excited talking about mutual friends.やはり、日本の友達だからこそできる話だと思います。I think these are conversations you can only have with friends from Japan.そういう時間が、とても大切だと思いました。I realised those moments are very important.私のまわりには、ベトナムやタイ、中国、メキシコなど、海外に住んでいる友達もいます。Some of my friends live in countries like Vietnam, Thailand, China, and Mexico.いろいろな国で生活しています。They live in different countries.でも、日本人で海外に住む人は、まだ多くないと思います。But I think there are still not so many Japanese people living abroad.これからもっと増えていきそうですね。I feel like more people will live abroad in the future.
