from Sexology · host Dr. Nazanin Moali, Ph.D, Psychology of Sex | Couple Therapy | Sex Education

Welcome to Episode 470 of the Sexology Podcast! Today I am excited to be joined by Margeaux Feldman, who speaks to me about trauma, chronic illness, intimacy, and pleasure, inspired by their book Touch Me. I’m Sick.In this episode, we discuss the personal and academic journey that led them to write Touch Me. I’m Sick., which began as a PhD dissertation and evolved into a deeply human book about sickness, trauma, disability, and love. Margeaux shares how their own experience with chronic illness shifted their work away from purely academic analysis and toward something more accessible, relational, and rooted in lived experience. Margeaux Feldman is a writer, a public educator, and an artist. They hold an MFA in Creative Writing from CalArts and a PhD in English Literature and Sexual Diversity Studies from the University of Toronto. Margeaux's first book Touch Me, I'm Sick: A Memoir in Essays was just published with Beacon Press. What I Love About Sex Stephanie Ganowski Stephanie Ganowski is a clinical sexologist and sex coach for men. In her podcast, “What I Love About Sex”, her mission is to take the pressure out of sex and put the pleasure in! She does this by helping men overcome their d*ck-related issues and improve their sex communication skills, so they can feel in control of their bodies and connecting deeply with their partners. Coaching clients 1:1 for 6+ years, with a background in psychology, relationship communication training and clinical sexology makes Stephanie the person you can trust to help you. She especially wants men to have a ‘go-to’ place for help here, so they feel they’re directly spoken to and supported. Stephanie is a firm believer that sex is like any other part of life in that we need to work to understand and improve it through practice, vulnerability and patience. And if we can do that while having fun and not taking ourselves so seriously, we can create the sex life we’ve always dreamed of.<br Explicit Pleasure Uprising: Desire, Attachment, and the Sex You Actually Want Laura Jurgens, Ph.D. Formerly The Desire Gap PodcastMost people who feel disconnected from their desire, their pleasure, or their partners have spent years assuming something is wrong with them.
