==Instagram & Note(Blog)==https://www.instagram.com/outsidejapclass/https://note.com/taitaijapclass==How to use the scripts=1.You can listen first and guess the meaning without the script.2.You can read the script while listening.3.You can also practise reading out loud with the audio.However there is no right or wrong way.You can also simply enjoy the content and listen to the podcast for fun.Just relax and enjoy the podcast==Japanese and English scripts==シンガポールにはバスと電車の時刻表がないAbout buses and trains in Singapore not having timetablesシンガポールに来たとき、びっくりしたことがあります。When I came to Singapore, there was something that surprised me.それは、バスと電車に、時刻表がないことです。It is that buses and trains do not have timetables.日本では、バス停や駅に時刻表があります。In Japan, there are timetables at bus stops and stations.何時に来るか、だいたい分かります。You can usually know what time they will come.だから、時刻表を見て行動します。So people move by checking the timetable.でも、シンガポールでは、少し違います。But in Singapore, it is a little different.バス停に、バスが何時何分に来るか、書いていません。At bus stops, it does not say exactly what time the bus will come.電車の駅にも、何時何分とは書いていません。At train stations, it also does not show exact times.スマホのアプリを見ると、When I look at a smartphone app,「あと10分で来る」とか、it says things like “it will come in 10 minutes,”「もうすぐ来る」ことは分かります。or “it will come soon.”でも、それはスケジュールではありません。But that is not a fixed schedule.最初は、慣れませんでした。At first, I was not used to it.いつ来るのかな、と考えました。I kept thinking, “When will it come?”走っているバスを見ます。I look at buses that are driving by.乗りたいバスの番号があるか、見ます。I check if the bus number I want is there.それが、少し大変でした。That was a little difficult.でも、シンガポールのバスや電車は、たくさん走っています。But buses and trains in Singapore run very frequently.だから、待っていると、すぐ来ます。So if you wait, they come soon.思ったより、早く来ます。They come faster than I expect.長く待つことは、あまりありません。You usually do not wait very long.バスも電車も多いので、Because there are many buses and trains,時間を気にしすぎなくていいな、と思うようになりました。I started to feel that I don’t need to worry too much about time.だんだん、この感じが好きになりました。Little by little, I started to like this feeling.時間に追われない感じです。It feels like I am not chased by time.気持ちが、少し楽になります。It makes me feel a bit relaxed.今では、待つ時間も悪くないと思うようになりました。Now, I think waiting time is not so bad.この待つ時間も、生活の一部になってきました。This waiting time has become part of my daily life.時刻表がない生活も、悪くないなと思います。I feel that a life without timetables is not so bad.
